Secondary email accounts accessed via Outlook

Confused about Primary and Secondary accounts. Can I set up on BT.Yahoo a secondary account which I can set in Outlook so I can use it direct from PC without going to webmail?  Have set up one secondary OK, but when using Desktop Help  & I try to do auto-configure into Outlook it says that the account is already in use.
Have spent a lot of time with call centres without much clarity.
Thank you for any advice.

Is there a specific reason that you need to use Outlook?  If not, try Mozilla Thunderbird (from the same people who make Firefox) as your email client instead - it is much more user friendly and very easy to set up multiple email accounts.  I have five different ones set up on mine.  You can get Thunderbird from here:  http://www.mozillamessaging.com/en-GB/thunderbird/

  • Primary and secondary Email accounts

    Hello,
Is there a way to specify primary and secondary email account ? In case if the primary server is down, the secondary server would be used for sending the notification.
    Thanks.

I am implementing something similar to what you have suggested. I was wondering if there is a way to achieve this by just changing configuration. Looks like it is not possible to configure it and coding it is the only way out.
    Thanks for your inputs :)

  • Why do the emails from my secondary email accounts disppear?

Where do the emails from my secondary AT&T accounts disappear to? I never get to read them on my 1st gen iPad running Apple mail and iOS 5.0.1.

My secondary email accounts work fine. They all deliver email to my PC just dandy. No es problema. Never miss a thing there.
Thus, I reset the secondary accounts' Advanced setting on the iPad's Mail, Calendar, Whatever setting in Settings today so that the secondary accounts would "Never" remove mail from the server. Never. Never, ever. (They were previously set to remain on the server for a week.) They're all still on the server. Ever ding dang durn one. But they're on my iPad for, like, about thirty seconds and, POOF!, they're gone. Ah . . . yeah. Hmm.
I have Inboxes for all accounts; Sent boxes, Drafts boxes, Trash, the whole enchilada. All barren, lifeless, empty (can't you just hear that desolate, hollow wind in the desert sound?). Except for my primary account which is rock steady.
    Whacko.

  • Email accounts in one outlook 2010 profile issue

    Hello all;
I hope I have reached to the correct forum.
We are using 1and1.co.uk as the email host. Hence no exchange server.
My client has 2 different email accounts set on outlook 2010. One is his email which everyone sends and other account he uses to check othe financial details.
It has been set up few months ago and he dint have any issue until 4 days back he found out if anyone sends an email to him it goes to the inbox of other account. He says sometimes it leaves a copy and sometimes it only goes straight there.
Both accounts are in one outlook setup in his computer profile.
I had created a rule after this that all emails sent to [email protected] should go to the inbox of [email protected] But even then it is going to different inbox.

    Hi,
Which type of email account are you using? IMAP or POP3?
If you are using POP3 account, please check the delivery location of your mail account. To do this, click File > Account Settings > Account Settings > highlight your POP account and click the
Change Folder button on the bottom of the Account Setting wizard. Check if you have set the proper delivery location for the problematic mail account.
If the delivery location is set properly, please try to create a new mail profile in Control Panel and reconfigure these two accounts in the new mail profile to check if the problem continues. See:

    Hope this helps.

  • Auto adding email accounts to users Outlook

    Hi guys,
We use Microsoft Exchange 2013 (as well as Outlook 365) to manage our email accounts.
When we add a 2nd email account to a users account the user still has to manually add the email account in Outlook. Is there a way or setting where if we add an email account to a users mailbox it will automatically populate in their Outlook?
    Thanks!
    Doug

    Hi,
are you adding 2nd email account as extra profile or additional mailbox?
Run this command to enabled automapping:
    Add-MailboxPermission -Identity “[email protected]
-User  “[email protected]” -AccessRights FullAccess -InheritanceType All -Automapping $true.
If you grant access for another mailbox thru acces groups, automapping wont work.It has to be granted directly or use the abow command.

  • Secondary email accounts on my iCloud account

I have a secondary icloud.com email account associated with my icloud account.  How can I add the secondary account to my iphone and ipad?  My primary email address is not an icloud.com address.

Each iCloud account only has a single iCloud account associated with it.  The additional address(s) are only alias address, and will deliver email to the same inbox.  If you want to add additional alias addresses (up to 3), you can do this as explained here: http://help.apple.com/icloud/#/mm6b1a490a.
If you want to add an additional iCloud email account, you will have to add a secondary iCloud account to your devices.  You can do this by going to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Add Account>iCloud, sign with a different Apple ID to create the account, then turn on Mail.  Be aware that mail in a secondary account will only be fetched on a periodic schedule as push mail is only supported in your primary account.

  • Transfer Multiple Thunderbird emails Accounts to Microsoft Outlook 2013

I am using multiple email accounts on Thunderbird in my office. Now i want to shift my mails to MS Outlook.but the problem is that MS Outlook is creating different PST files from different accounts.i want to retrieve my mails in single PST Files.
I also searched but there is no manual method.I heard that third party tool can do this.can anyone suggest right utility for this.
My data is very confidential and there should not be any loss in mails.
I am also attaching my Thunderbird email location with screenshot.

Manual method is a difficult task .You can easily transfer your mails from the Thunderbird to MS Outlook using third party conversion software.i faced the same problem.i tried the following utility. It converts all my Thunderbird accounts to a single PST.you can also try the free demo version of the software.

  • Why is email being sent from my secondary and not from my default account as per my settings - even when I remove the secondary email account?

I have 2 email accounts on my iPhone 4S. My secondary account is a gmail account. My primary account (not gmail) is set as my default account. Why, when I compose a new message in my primary account and then send, the email is issued from from gmail? And then why if I delete/ remove my gmail account from my iPhone and then compose a new message from my primary account (now the only account on my iPhone) it still sends from the gmail account?

No, "My Number" was not listed in my Phone menu, I had to manually type it it.  Is there a way for that number to automatically be listed in that "My Number" spot?  Would that maybe have something to do with my phone number not being listed as an option in the "Send and Receive" spot under messaging???

  • ITunes doesn't sync email accounts phone-to-Outlook

The old computer is dead, the new computer now has Outlook 2010, the iPhone has several email accounts it knows about, it got that information from the old computer when it still worked, I can't get iTunes to copy account information from the iPhone to Outlook on the new machine. Is it possible? I account syncing only one way? (computer to iPhone)
It has synced contacts, done a backup, copied apps, there are no error messages.
I have the Sync Mail Accounts from Outlook setting selected on the iTunes "Info" tab. But the account information is not being copied.

What can be selected under the Info tab for your iPhone sync prefereces with iTunes for an email account or accounts is for transferring the email account settings only from your computer to your iPhone so you don't have to manually create the account with the iPhone's Mail app. This only needs to be selected once. After the email account settings have been transferred to your iPhone, this can be deselected. This does not have to remain selected since there is nothing gained and no benefit with leaving this selected.

Try going to Settings>Notifications>Mail, tap your primary account, then tap New Mail Sound and set as desired.

Hello, Can someone help me with a similar issue please?  I would like to change the primary email (which is never used) with a sub-account email which I use every day.
You could just set the primary account to forward messages the secondary one. Then you would only have to access the primary if you wanted to make changes to your account.
But if there's a compelling reason to delete the primary, ask the mods via the link given above.

  • Delete only 1 Auto-Complete email address for everyone's email accounts - perhaps via Exchange 2010 or Group Policy?

    Hello
I have an exchange 2010 server and clients use outlook 2007 or 2010 for emails.
I recently deleted an account with the Exchange 2010 server and created another with the same name but a different address.
Now people can't send mail to this new email address because it's cached on their outlook profiles... but it does work after they cleared the cache and send their requests then.
Is there a way that I can clear this one email address from everyone's cached auto-complete list on exhcange or via Group Policy so that it works for all of them? I don't want to clear all of their auto-complete lists.
    Thanks,

As far as I know, there isn't any way to clear only one auto-complete cache from Exchange side or Group policy.
    Thanks,
    Evan
