Secure Backup vaulting/autorunmmjobs not work

Dear guys,
I already set vaulting/autorunmmjobs to YES but when i do the backup, the backup job still require manual start job by command runjob. It seem the vaulting/autorunmmjobs not overide the defaults setting.

Initially I had the issue where my phone was restoring from iCloud for 2 weeks and never finished. I was unable to do the upgrade to 8.1 because of this, so I canceled the restore and tried to do a backup to iCloud. I let it run (Estimating time remaining...) for a long time, like 30 minutes or something. Each time I tried this it would error off saying it couldn't finish the operation. One time it said it was going to take 2 days to complete the backup, but then it errors off as just mentioned. So I did a google search for "iPhone 6 backup to iCloud not working" and found a link to the forums for the incessant restore issue, it said to do a manual backup through iTunes, then immediately do a restore, then do the upgrade to 8.1.
However, I still have the issue of the backup taking forever.

If you're not a developer then you really should not have upgraded.
I'm unsure how you can fix this as you have already done a back-up on iOS 7 and apple don't support firmware downgrades.

Vault does not work any more Aperture 2.1.1

Hi,
I just experienced that the vault function does not work anymore for me. When I click on the icon to show the vaults I created, nothing happens and Aperture seems to hang for some time. Sometimes it finally comes back and I can quite Aperture normally. Sometime I just need to force exit.
I switched to a different library, where no vaults have been created and when I tried to create one by opeing the vault area first, I got the same effect. When I select directly "create vault", it creates the file, but it does not put any content in.
I'm using Aperture 2.1.1 and MacOS 10.5.4.
Any hints ?

I had a similar problem. A portable Maxtor USB drive worked fine as a vault till this am, then message that there is not enough space. Get Info tells me about 54 GB available, and my entire Aperture Library is only 54 GB. Up till today it did incremental backups just fine.
I added a firewire drive and it seemed to work as a second vault, except while Get Info for the drive says it has a 50 GB Aperture library now, the Vault window in Aperture says this vault is backed up but it only used up 3 GB of the drive. The second widow for the original drive shows the expected amount used, ie about 50 GB.
So if I run Get Info on the firewire drive, it tells me I have a 50 GB Aperture library, but the small vault window in Aperture says only 3 GB.
I was going to reformat the original USB drive and re-try it, but this last information is coflicting, Any ideas on how to proceed?

Time Machine backup over wifi not working after upgrade to 10.6.3

I have a firewire external hard disk connected to directly into my imac which I use for back-up. The imac is wired into an ethernet LAN. I also backup my MacBook Pro to the same hard disk. The MacBook is connected to the backup disk via a wifi link to a router. All has been working well until I upgraded Snow Leopard to 10.6.3 and now the back-up is not working for the MacBook. The same thing happened after the last point release upgrade but at the time I thought it must have been user error. Last time I had to trash the backups and start from scratch. Can anyone shed any light?

Try reselecting the drive (from the laptop) via TM Preferences > Select Disk (first select the "none" drive, then the correct one).
If that doesn't help, try a "full reset" of TM on the laptop, per #A4 in the Time Machine - Troubleshooting *User Tip,* also at the top of this forum.

Problem using backup - one device not working.

I'm not able to use all backup devices. I made a backup using two dvd-r and one cd-r.
One of the dvds and the cd worked perfectly, but the second dvd does not work. There are no scratches or dust on the surface.
I tried both of my cd-drives.
What can I do?

Juniper Java Secure Application Manager does not work with Snow Leopard

Anyone else having issues as well? I'm not using a client - its basically the Java based application manager for VPN connections to work (so I can remote desktop to my work PC).
Once logged in, it gives a "Restart your browser" error.

OK - so I got it to work. Here's what I did. Let me know if it works for you:
I wasn't able to follow the instructions exactly as noted in the original link I posted above.
The terminal command, specifically wget would not work - there is no wget.
I manually downloaded the Java 1.5 version, by following the link (just clicked on it). I 'unzipped' it and moved it into the library/frameworks/JavaVM.framework/versions folder.
So now the 1.5.0 is not an alias (as it is by default in SL), but the older version of Java.
I then followed the instruction related to changing the order in JAVA PREFERENCES.
The final stop - and I think this is key, is that I forced Safari to start in 32 bit mode. You can do this by going to Applications, highlighting Safari and hitting CMD-I. Then check the 32 bit option.
Start Safari, go to the appropriate URL and login. The Java Secure Application Manager should then start as it used to do in Leopard. You should be all set.

In JDev 11.1.1.5, using the WebCenter extension we get some strange behaviour I cannot explain.
I have a feeling I am missing some small step, but I cannot see what step, so I thought to ask :).
Here are the steps we took:
We use:
-     JDeveloper 11.1.1.5
-     WebCenter extension
Steps we took, within an WebCenter Portal application:
1.     Create an index.html which is the default start point of the application.
2.     index.html redirects to faces/pages_home.
3.     In pages.xml our home is an landingPage.
4.     This landingPage is configured for authenticated-role only in pages.xml.
5.     Configure a custom login-TF with .jspx loginPage on it.
6.     In the web.xml on the security tab, we configure Form-Based Authentication with our custom login-TF as Login Page.
7.     In the jazn-data.xml we configure this TF and grant the anonymous-role.
8.     Run the application, we get an 404.
I would expect the following:
1. Application tries to reach the home page.
2. The home page is only available for authenticated users.
3. The login mechanism (from the web.xml) starts to work.
4. The TF/page configured in the web.xml gets launched.
Some how, as said we get a 404 instead of our loginTF/Page.
In an Jdevelloper 11.1.1.2 application, this seems to work fine with the same configuration, but now in 11.1.1.5 we get a 404 error.
Did we miss a configuration / Overlook some setting?
Why does this not work?
If anybody has any tips on where to look or what to do, this would be helpful :)
I have a test case in which I can reproduce this problem, both within an WCP application as in a pure ADF application.
I can provide this if anyone is interested :)

Hmmm, apparently you have to put “/faces/adf.task-flow?adf.tfId=login-TF&adf.tfDoc=/” in front of the TF, which results in the following web.xml tag:

Im trying to turn off the secure empty trash I dont know how it got turned on
but its not working
Ive tried going to Finder > Preference > advanced > uncheck the secure empty box
but it doesnt work it keeps asking me if im sure to delete the item

Click on the item in the Finder's sidebar with the house icon and verify that you are able to write to this folder in the Ownership & Permissions section of the Get Info window, and that it isn't locked; if it is already set this way and you get that error, open the Terminal in the /Applications/Utilities/ folder and run the following:
mkdir ~/.Trash
If you get a message stating that the folder exists, run the following:
sudo chown $UID ~/.Trash
chmod u+rwx ~/.Trash
The first command in the second set will prompt you for your administrator password; nothing will appear in the Terminal window while it is being typed. In either case, click on the Finder icon in the Dock with the Control and Option keys pressed, and relaunch it.

Sapcar -backup option is not working on an x64 server

When I run:
sapcar -backup -cvf test.sar *
I get the error:
SAPCAR: option -backup only supported by UNICODE SAPCar (option ignored)
The version of SAPCAR I am using is: SAPCAR_0-20001354.exe
Which is for: SAP KERNEL 7.00 64-BIT UNICODE Windows Server on x64 64bit
Please can you tell me why this is not working.
http://www.easymarketplace.de/SAPCAR.php lists the parameter -acl, but this is not shown when I run 'sapcar', which is why I am using the '-backup' parameter which looks to do the same thing.
Also I am unable to find a Unicode version of SAPCAR version 7.10.
Plus when I run 'SAPCAR', at the end of the help documentation it says that the file version is:

You may be right.
AFAIK the distribution of the Unicode SAPCAR was stopped since you can't use it "standalone". A Unicode SAPCAR would need the ICU libraries which makes it difficult to be started from installation media (DVDs) because the libraries may not be found.
I'd open an OSS call.

After Security update, FireWire iPods not working in iTunes 7.0.2

Hi all,
this past weekend, I installed the latest Apple security update and restarted my Mac.
Everything was working fine until I connected my iPod mini (via FireWire) and realized that although the iPod is mounting on the desktop, it is NOT appearing in iTunes. My other iPod, a 10GB 3G iPod, is also experiencing the same problem. The exception to this is my son's 512MB Shuffle -- it's working just fine.
I've tried all of the following, to no avail:
1. changed FW port
2. reset iPod
3. restored iPod
4. deleted and reinstalled iTunes
5. ran Disk Utility and DiskWarrior and "repaired" iPod hard drive

Secure login client is not working in VPN

We have scenario where users connect to office network though VPN and access SSO. When users connect through VPN, users are not able to login in SLC and hence not receiving X.509 user certificate. It shows the following error when try to login in SLC.
"There are currently no logon servers available to service the logon request"
But the same SLC is working when users connect directly (ex LAN or WI-FI) to the network.
We have enabled secure login client trace and found the below errors in the trace when user is connected through VPN.
