Secure Credit Card Transactions

I am in the process of learning about J2EE for the purpose of designing web-based applications for small businesses. Does anybody know of a document that describes everything I would need in order to perform secure credit card transactions?

I am in the process of setting up Verisign's PayFlowPro. If you are proficient in Java (I am not) you should not have any problems setting it up. I am stuck on jsse. I cannot seem to get it installed correctly.
thnx,
Nathan

    Hi,
Thank you very much for your support.
But still i'm getting the same error. I read in one site the below step(Marked as Bold), This could be the reason why the error is occurring..
But I don't know how to check, If any one know about the below step, let me know.
Depending upon the function security options set up by your system administrator, you might be able to create, format, and approve Automatic receipt batches in one step.

  • Error while uploading Credit Card Transactions

    HI,
I am facing a problem while uploading a credit Card File.
Error is " Previous Import with Run Number ............... is unsuccessful, please import first."
When I try to upload with previous run number is shows " This Rum number is already imported."\
Please suggest how to clear the previous run number and how I can upload the credit card transactions.\
    Regds
    SG

I am facing similar problem & tried all the suggestions given above but its not working out. Still the same error:
Settlement run with number 0030112011 has already been imported. An error occurred during import.
If I try importing with other import no., rcd the following msg
Import of last work file with accounting number 0030112011 was terminated. First please import
This settlement run is not available in PRCCD as well.
The settlement run is avaiable in PRTA & is marked as unsuccesfull.
    Any pointers?
Since there is no partial upload of transactions, re-loading is not possible because of the error.

  • What to know before rebuilding your credit with secured credit cards

The higher your original CL, the higher they can be raised to new higher CLs. I remember using Open Sky secured card and the $200 CL never went up in a 6 months. I got a CreditOne card with a $300 CL and was increased to $500 within 3 months. Not surprisingly, when I applied for Capital One nonsecured cards, I started at $500 (the highest CL of my two secured cards). Your available credit is a factor in your score so the more money you can put into these cards, the better - bc your score will be higher and will give you a better foundation of starting CL in the future.
Keep in mind, there are of many fees associated with SCCs and make sure to take that into account from the get go. This can range to annual fees to monthly charges to even transactiom costs when you swipe. Read the fine print and find a reasonable card without outrageous fees. I beleive I used CreditOne bc they didn't cost as much as others.
When starting out, an upfront fee may kill your utilization the first month. For instance, if you have a $49 CL and upfront annual fee is $27, you're already at 54% utilization. And if you pay that immediately, it won't matter bc your remaining available credit will still be $22 and your first month reported to the bureaus will show high utilization (or in any lenders eye's - high risk). So find out what upfront fees will hit the first month and depsit enough money to stay under 30% UTIL. Build a healthy habit of not crossing 30% utilization and pay your cards off 10 days before they're due the first time around bc some companies take up to a week post your payment and you never want to be late. This way you know how to time your payments.
The amount of credit accounts also is a factor in your score so if you can afford to, get two or more. The best way to do this is apply for one, make your first payment that will typically include your upfront annual fee. Wait for that payment to clear, then apply for another card. Lenders see payments will often grant you cards with signs you pay your balances. This healthy process of applying for CCs can be used with the regular CCs you will be eligible for, usually in 6 months time.
Keep in mind that your reporting date is usually 3 days after your statement date and timing is key. Let's say you have a $300 card. You've used $75 to stay under 30% and you know your due date is the 20th of the month. You make a payment on the 16th for $75 and it posts on the 19th returning your balance to $0. The next day, your due date, the day closes in good standing. Within a 3-10 days the balance will reflect your credit report. Try to use 1-9% (or 29% max) of your CL in this window bc having 1-9% UTIL reporting is better $0 reporting and you don't have to carry a balance and pay interest. These rebuilder cards prey on those who cannot manage their cards. But that's not you bc you know the game and are here to beat the system.
You want move to $0 annual fee CCs asap so feel free to apply for unsecured CCs within 6 months. Capital One is known grant cards and forgive for past mistakes so apply there after 6 months if you're not aware of bettet options.
It also ould be a good idea to take $500 and deposit as a CD with your bank and use that as collateral for a secured credit card. Its the same concept as a secured card but you get interest back with your original deposit.
    Hope this helps someone.
    Much love,.
    Romulus

Personally, I would keep your utilization down to 10% or less for a few months and lie low, just showing responsible card usage. Keep checking the Capital One prequalification page after that, and once you become prequalified for the unsecured Platinum, take the chance, as the prequals are usually pretty solid.
When you get your unsecured Platinum, use it a whole lot and either pay in full every month, or, like with your secured, keep it at 10%-below. Meanwhile, definitely pay your secured in full every month. At about 5 months, if you displayed heavy (but responsible) usage, they should give you a pretty good CLI--I often see people go from $300 to $1500.
By then you should probably have your charge-off paid for, so, while it won't remove it off of your report, it will help. You'll also have a decent unsecured card, and by then I would feel comfortable applying for another card and maybe closing your secured card after that, since it unfortunately won't graduate.
BoA has a secured card that will graduate, but their prequalification page is utter garbage, so you'll be taking a huge chance by applying, and there will be a chance at denial even with recon. However, if you do get it, it will be great to have an evolving credit card in your hand, as you won't have to close the line (as I'm sure you'll eventually need to do with the Capital One).
I dunno, I'm a pretty conservative person when it comes to this credit game, so my offered plan might be a bit lukewarm, but I think it might be pretty solid for you. Good luck, you can do this!

  • Payment of Expense Report invoice created from credit card transactions

We are implementing corporate credit cards into iExpenses using the company pay method. When expense reports are created from aquitting credit card transactions and exported into Payables does anyone know if it is possible to pay the expense report invoice that has been created without needing to run the Create Credit Card Issuer Invoice program? The reason for this question is that I want to avoid running this program as our credit card provider direct debits our account from our bank account rather than us transmitting the funds to them and don't need to create an invoice for the credit card provider. Any assistance would be gretly appreciated. Thanks

    Hi  Harry
You can use the badi TRIP_POST_FI   .you can create custom table & mention the different symbolic account number  & change your  symbolic account based on your expense type by using the above badi. While you do FI posting  your expense types will get posted in two hit two different G/L account
It will surely solve your problem.. I had same issue in my earlier project which i have done the above solution.
    Thanks

  • Credit card transaction denied

I order two iphones on the 12th.  One was a white 6+ 128gb and the other gold 6 128gb.  I finally after about an hour was able to get thru and order the phone about 4am est. I got my email an hour later stating delivery date of 9/19. My status on the pre-order page was saying ship date of 9/19.  Nothing had changed on the pre-order status page since the 12th.  I received a phone call from my credit card company yesterday and they didn't allow the verizon transaction to process because of the large amount.  This happened to me a couple years ago with the iphone 5 purchase.  I called the credit card companyon the 12th and told them about my purchase and to ok it, but obiviously that didn't happen.   I was ******(my credit limit is like $25,000).  My credit card company said that I had to get Verizon to reprocess the transaction.  After talking to at least 3 Reps, I was finally able to get the transaction processed.  Now my order status is now saying "We have received your order and it is in process.  Payment has not been taken".  My estimate ship date now says "Not available at this time".  I checked my Credit card transaction and I see the phones are now in pending status(which is normal).  I remember all the same stuff happening a couple years ago.  I had all the same problems but I still received my phone on the first day.  I am hoping this will happen again.  Just wanted to let everyone know that you may want to check your credit card to see if a transaction has come thru or call them to make sure they didn't deny the transaction.  I think once they charge your account then they are shipping the phone.  I check the status page about every hour.  From the other post I'm reading, I bet the service reps are just trying to say anything right now to stop people from being so ****** off.

The same thing happened to me with my credit card.  I found out because the bank's fraud dept called me twice.  We got it all straightened out and a helpful Verizon rep processed the payment, while I was on the phone with her and the bank at the same time.  It took a couple of hours but the order showed up in my order history and in the documents area of my verizon.  The status did not change until this morning after I received a tracking number.

  • HT204266 How do I purchase a number of apps at one time with just one credit card transaction?  I am traveling and I pay an overseas conversion fee each time I use my credit card.

How do I purchase a number of apps at one time through iTunes using just one credit card transaction.  So far it seems that each app purchase is a separate transaction.  Is there a shopping cart facility?  I can't find one if there is. I'm traveling so each credit card transaction is quite costly.
    Thanks!
    Ruth

    I wish this were true.
    It is true.
You will be billed for iTunes purchase exactly the same as if you are at home. The CC company will not add any fees.
When purchasing through iTunes, it is NOT an overseas transaction. The transaction will simply show up as a regular transaction in your iTunes store. You will be charged/billed according to your address in iTunes, not where you physically are located.
When you make a purchase in a shop, the retailer ID/location is sent with the transaction allowing the CC company to figure the exchange rates and bill the correct amount.

OIE:MAXIMUM DAYS TO SHOW CREDIT CARD TRANSACTIONS PROFILE
    ==========================================================
    PURPOSE
OIE:Maximum Days to Show Credit Card Transactions 에서 Default Value : 30 으로
    Explanation
"OIE:Maximum Days to Show Credit Card Transactions" profile option
"OIE:Maximum Days to Show Credit Card Transactions" profile option
    Application Developer
Why was SSE_CREDIT_CARD_EXPIRATION_DAYS profile option end dated?
    ==> "SSE_CREDIT_CARD_EXPIRATION_DAYS" profile option은
"OIE:Maximum Days to Show Credit Card Transactions"
Per internal only bugs 2862423 and 3381431, Development decided to remove this
profile option for better usability of the product. Per Development: "...it
could potentially hide transactions from the users and prevent them from
categorizing and including transactions in the expense report.".
There is no equivilant profile option in OIE.H or higher. All credit card
transactions, regardless of age, are now visable in the OIE product.
Profile option

  • Processing credit card transactions using iExpenses disconnected spreadshee

    Hi,
Does anyone know whether the disconnected spreadsheet for iExpenses also works for credit card transactions as well as out of pocket expenses? The implementation guide hints that this is possible for doesn't give any specific details. My guess is that outstanding credit card transactions will be included on the expense report when a user downloads a new spreadsheet - can anyone confirm that?
Also, is anyone aware of any known issues processing credit card transactions this way?
    Many thanks,
    David

    Hello All
I would greatly apprecaite any help regarding this issue/question.

  • Secure credit card payments ..

    Hi,
I have a JSP website, I need to find out the 'how to' on secure credit card payments. Do I use a certain companie's API? Do i write the code myself using an opensource API?
    Tips would be great!
    Thanks in advance,
    E.

    Hi,
To have a Secure Connection you must use SSL.Considering you are using tomcat server you need to activate the 8443 port that is available in your server.xml file present in the conf folder in tomcat directory.Secondly you must generate a keystore in your java directory.
following these two steps will solve your problem.Just search apache tomcat website for a detailed report.
    Thanks.

  • Simulate No Response in TCP Connection (Credit Card Transaction)

I've been requested to perform a simulation of a credit card transaction in which the data is transferred to the processor but then communication cuts out before the processor can confirm that it has been processed. Our developer is trying to integrate
error handling in which we send the credit card data successfully but then the conversation cuts out for whatever reason in the middle of the transaction. I can't really wrap my head around a way to allow an outbound connection to be established over TCP and
then denying a response after the 3-way handshake has been completed. Any thoughts?

Well I believe that we actually managed to get the timing down for one transaction (the transactions complete very quickly so there are precious few milliseconds to get the timing right) after a few tries by using this method. Unfortunately, when
we plugged the cable back in, the transaction completed so I think we failed to exceed the timeout period before proceeding. It seemed like the timing thing is a little tricky with the "pull the plug" or even the packet loss method due to the longer timeout
periods. I guess I could play with our own firewall settings to see if I can create a policy with a custom service that has a shorter timeout period (I'm not sure what the timeout would be for our credit card processor on their end) but are
you aware of any method to actually kill the connection at the point at which the processor tries to respond? I'm thinking that may require a software based solution with packet analyzing capabilities like Wireshark so I'm willing to accept that your solution
is the most practical but I thought I'd ask anyway. :-)

  • Need sugetion  for deleting credit card Transaction (i-Expense)

    Hi,
I have few credit card transaction records in i-expense .
these records are not required by customer and he want to delete these data.
is there any API available for deletion of these records or any work arround.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Ajit

Not aware of any supported methods to delete the Credit Card transactions. Instead you could run the "Credit Card Historical Transactions Management" program with a value for the parameter Process set as "Deactivate Transactions" for a range of posted dates, for a specific card number. This will remove the transactions from the available list of transactions for the user
