Secure ID Ace Server

We are trying to configure SecurID ACE/Server for Windows (ACE Server version 6.0). We have followed the below steps.
<ol><li>Installed the Sun IdM Gateway on the NT where the ACE Accounts are being created </li>
<li>Copied the apidemon from the ACE/Server installation directory to c:\winnt\system32 </li>
<li>RSA ACE Agent Host added. </li>
</ol>
When we check for the Test Configuration we get connection Timed out error with port 9278.
And with the ports : 8098 java.io.EOFException: \n
With port 8198 java.net.SocketException: Connection reset\n
Please help us out with your ideas.

The port should be 9278. Enable the gateway trace and see if it is logging anything to the trace file.

Hi all,
we are trying to integrate and RSA server with IDM 6.0SP2.
I do not understand this phrase on resource references doc.
If SecurID is installed on Windows, the Identity Manager gateway must be running on
the same system where the RSA ACE/Server is installed.it means that the gateway from RSA server must run on the same server where is running RSA ?
Someone has integrated the appliance RSA installing on it the gateway ?

Wireless WPA2 + AD + RSA ACE Server possible

I have a client that wants to use WPA2 authenticated to the Windows Active Directory and also has an RSA ACE Server. The goal os to provide 802.1x security with these 3 devices. I am NOT looking to USE the RSA tokens for this, only the underlying RSA RADIUS service to authenticate clients. Is this possible or do I also need a ACS server?
The alternative is to use Wireless WPA2 + AD + Windows IAS RADIUS.

Hi Chris,
I don't think you can use the RSA's radius server without using tokens. If you are looking to authenticate to Active Directory then either use Wireless + IAS + AD or use Wireless + ACS + AD
There will be no need to bring the RSA into the solution.

Yesterday I uploaded Yosemite 10.10.2 thinking it was fixed by now. In Mail, my POP account gets this error message: Mail cannot send your password securely to the server. You can remove this restriction in the Accounts preferences by setting “Allow insecure authentication”, which could put your password at risk.
My provider says it's an Apple issue. The gmail accounts are logging in fine. Any help? Something simple?

Thanks Csound1. That did work and Mail was able to connect to the internet. Green light status. Is it because of my provider that I may never have had secure connections? Is that an Apple thing or do PCs have the same issues? Appreciate your help. I'll research insecure connections as I am ignorant of the consequences.

When I upgraded to Yosemite, suddenly my email account (netvigator POP) gives an error:

Not able to run a reconciliation from IDM on a the securID/ACE server UNIX

I have configured a securID/ACE adapter in IDM 7.1 so that it can provision updates of user accounts. RSA 6.1.2 server is running on Linux RHEL 2.6.9. I am able to connect to RSA form IDM, but when I run a reconciliation I get the following error,
Error iterating accounts for resource RES-User-RSA-Projects:
com.waveset.util.WavesetException: Trouble constructing User 'null'
Below is the stack trace that I extracted from IDM (debug): The stack below tells me that IDM is not able to establish a connection to the RSA server. I have made sure that the login account that I am using in the RSA adapter parameters belongs to the same group that owns /opt/ace/utils/tcl/bin/tcl-sd.
Is there anything else I need to do? Has anybody out there faced a similar issue and found a resolution?

Failed to set security on SQL Server registry key. Error: 2

Hi,
I have a Primary site (mixed mode) running SCCM 2007 SP1 for many months now with no issues.
This site is made up of two Win 2008 sp2 servers sharing the SCCM roles:-
SCCM01 - Site server, DP, RP, PXE and SQL2005 hosting the SCCM database
SCCM02 – SUP, MP, FSP, SLP
The SQL2005 on SCCM01 is running under a domain service account called
domain\service_sccm which is also a sysadmin in SQL as is the SCCM02 server.
In an effort to resolve the isse I have made this account a Domain Admin.
I have also used this account to log onto SEC01 to run the Secondary Site installation and to be the SQL Service account.
I'm now trying to add a Secondary Site on a Domain Controller called SEC01 (also Win2008 sp2) and on the same LAN as the SCCM01/02.
This is where I get problems.
I run the installation locally on the Sec Site server (DC) as a Domain Admin and the installation completes OK (all green ticks),
the ComponentSetup.log and Pre-Reqs are all good as well however when I check the ConfigMgrSetup.log I see the below -

Adding the PMP role to SEC01 also fails to install and no MPSetup or MPControl logs are created.
WebDav and win2008 roles, features all added and server fully patched.
Despooler.log on SCCM01 seems good and passing keys.
Tried installing to default path and to shortened path such as C:\SCCM
The new secondary site is listed in the console and an address can be added for the Secondary Site
BITS Server Extensions and Remote Differential Compression Features are enabled.
The Group memberships all appear ok:-
SCCM01

contains the sec site server SEC01, SCCM01, installation accounts
SMS_SiteToSiteConnection_001
SEC01 (the sec site server)

This has the account logged in during installation as a sysadmin
SCCM02 is also sysadmin
The fundamental issue appears to be that the SEC01$ server account is not being added to SQL Logins (and therefore SCCM database Roles)
therefore the installation cannot complete.
I have tried to manually add the SEC01 account to SQL Logins before installation of Sec Site but this did not work.
Not sure if the fact that SEC01 is a DC may be a factor.
Appreciate any help if anyone has seen this before or can suggest a resolution.

After a lot of digging around and head scratching I eventually found the resolution.
The original thread title Error turned out to be a bit of a red herring in that my failure to deploy Sec Sites came down to two separate issues seemingly unrelated to the error message of the thread title.
The first part of the resolution was to manually create the SQL Server accounts for the Sec Site Servers and assign them to the smsdbrole_MP DB role to
let the SQL side of the SCCM install complete a s these were not being created automatically.
This then left the fact that that the installation of the Sec Site completed successfully according to the install logs in C:\ however the DP and MP would
never install.
The big clue was eventually contained in the mpfdm.log errors relating to
**ERROR: Cannot find path for destination inbox SMS_AMT_PROXY_COMPONENT on server REGISTRY SMS_MP_FILE_DISPATCH_MANAGER
and
**ERROR: Cannot find path for destination inbox Asset Intelligence KB Manager on server REGISTRY SMS_MP_FILE_DISPATCH_MANAGER
Thankfully the errors led me to these two blogs:

As it turned out the SCCM installation registry and folder creation does not complete and I had to manually enter the reg settings as detailed in the
links above to complete the installation. Once I did as described everything worked a treat – all my MPs and DPs are 100% now.

RSA SecureID ACE/Server 6.1.2 integration issue with IDM2005Q4M3

I tried the SecureID adapter with the following steps:
1.setup the idm gateway on SecureID Server
2.copy SecureID's apidemon.exe to gateway.exe folder
3.add the administrator on secureid server and use it on idm resource adapter
4.run gateway.exe -d -fsso.log -l6
5.configure the SecureID adapter resource and test configuration is ok
6.add a rsa_test user on IDM, then assign the SecureID resource to the user
before step 6 every thing is fine, but the step 6 cause the IDM hangup, nothing response from gateway.
while I assign the user with SecureID resource in IDM, the gateway trace log print the trace log below and then hanged up:

Found the solution. Problem was the acecInt.dll in the System32 folder was mismatching with the one in the RSA install folder. I copied the dll from the RSA install folder to the System32 and it started to work fine.
The error i was getting was "Get file operation with no or unknown handle aborted".

1. If you haven't tried this already, just delete the user account entirely, and then try setting it up again.
2. To find the permissions file:
     a. hold down the option key
     b. go to the Go menu in the finder
     c. scroll down to Library and open it
     d. in Library, go to Containers/com.apple.mail/Data/Library/Preferences
     e. drag it to the trash and restart.
3. if that doesn't work, go to Applications/Utilities/Keychain Access. In the Keychain Access menu, do Keychain First Aid, and repair.
This should keep you busy for a while.

can convert an evaluation license to a subscription license by activating the product. Be sure to have the product key available when activating FPE. After the product is activated, you can also align when the product expires with your license agreement, and

RSA ACE server SYSLOG collector, Parsing help!

Hi Board.
I am in a very big hurry for developing a RSA ACE collector script. The
already released RSA ACE Collector script is file based and the RSA ACE
server can dump a CSV log report with an interval of a hour as the
fastest possible interval. This is not at all satisfying for the
customer which - due to the latest issue with hacking attacks on EMC's
network both announced in the press and by letter from EMC and to their
customers - is not at all acceptable. They need to have logic for
pattern searches and correlation rules that can respond as close to real
time as possible.
We have with success and without any troubles or big efforts installed
the SNARE agent on the RSA ACE Appliance box. We are receiving the
events from the RSA server correctly (or we are receiving the events as
unsupported events because the events is not parsed correctly, but all
the needed information is there) and I have started development of a new
Collector script based on the Generic Event Collector (Just
doubleclicked on New Collector script in the Ant menu).
So far I have tryed some different approaches. I know that I can totaly
manipulate with the events received from the Source because I can
pre-set values via the protoEvt.map file. Even further have I been able
to set some other values in the Parse function by using the rec2Evt.map
and then hardcode a value to the desired field by using
rec.-input_record_field-.
Therefor I am pretty convinced that I am on the right track.

But it just laughs at me and wont work. It states that there is a
parsing error: match function something with input.
Can you please help me build a logic that will work as intended? It
should be clear what information or which piece of the text that I try
map to which Event fields (look at the outcommented bits right above or
below the ones that point to a rec.something because there I have tryed
just map the information directly).

I replaced the tabs with '|' foir easier regex searchess for both
numbers, alphanummeric and spaces in same match cases - but with the
opportunity to index better for those searches because I did not need to
worry about the tabs being recognised as whitespaces anymore.
The safesplit works fine with '|' but not for this one:

Aha I see. Thanks for the info. However, I tried the suggested this.evt
= Msg.substring(1,Msg.length - 2); but it reports: Cannot call method
"substring" of null. Remember that I have already testet and verified
that I do have a value in the Msg variable.

HP Officejet Pro X576dw MFP Default PIN/Secure Embedded Web Server Issues

Hello I have a few issues with this printer: 1. I am unable to get to the secure embedded web server ie. https://192.xxx.xxx.xxx, although the normal unsercure version works fine. The problem with this is I cant edit or reset any of the fucntions such as scan to email and scan to network for my users. This function used to work for a while till I had to reset the printer for some problem. 2. Further there is a tab called sign in into which I am not able to sign in as there is no mention of the PIN anywhere in the manual or in any literature. Please help. Thank you

Okay so I managed to reset to factory defaults and the secure pages were accessible. However this still doesnt solve the mystery of the Default PIN. HP Please help. Thanks

OS 10.7, SMB Connection, Change to Unicode with Extended Security on Windows Server 2008 Standard

Hi All, I've searched Google, and I've also contacted Apple Support with no luck: I want to implement unicode with extended security on Windows Server 2008 Standard server shared folders so that Lion can connect normally (i.e. Finder->Go->Connect to Server->IP Address or server name) to SMB shares and access files. I'm lacking information; has anyone actually implemented unicode with extended security? If so, how?

Manual Updates for Forefront Security for Exchange server

I have installed forefront security for exchange server 2007 in CCR and but there is no internet connectivity as it is in my test lab,
I would like to enable the below scan engine and update the scan engine in weekly basis as i cannot do it on daily, (No Internet Connection)
MS Antimalware engine
Kaspersky
and Norman
Where can i get / download the scan engine updates for the above each scan engines...and how to installed them manually without internet connection . Could someone please help

Since it my testlab environment., i don't have internet connection
i need to download the updates from external (out of my test lab) and transper those udpates via pendire / hard drive to the test lab and from there i need to update.
first of all , i would like know which website any source can provide the updates for these separate scan engine updates.
