Secure Login Client 2.0 SP04 Silent Installtion
Hi Experts,
I would like to seek assistance with mass roll-out of the secure login client. Is it possible to perform silent installation of the secure login client?
Thank you.
Regards,
Tom
Hi Thomas,
you may start SapSetupSLC.exe with parameter "/silent".
This installs SecureLoginClient (SLC) with it's default settings (all components except "Secure Login Server Support").
For a customized installation it's required to use the SAP Installation Server.
If your company is using SAP GUI there is possibly an Installation Server in place. SAPGUI and SLC are "SAPSetup"-packages hence it's possibly to integrate SLC into the SAPGUI package and distribute them together.
The Installation Server is also part of the SecureLoginClient package.
After extracting SapSetupSLC.exe with command line:C:\> SapSetupSLC.exe /x:C:\slc
you find SAP Setup Guide.pdf which describes ho to setup and configure the installation server.
You also find useful hints in the Secure Login Implementation Guide
chapter 2.1.1 Unattended Installation with SAPSetup Installation Server
Grüße / Kind regards,
Frank

Secure login client is not working in VPN
Hi,
We have scenario where users connect to office network though VPN and access SSO. When users connect through VPN, users are not able to login in SLC and hence not receiving X.509 user certificate. It shows the following error when try to login in SLC.
"There are currently no logon servers available to service the logon request"
But the same SLC is working when users connect directly (ex LAN or WI-FI) to the network.
We have enabled secure login client trace and found the below errors in the trace when user is connected through VPN.

Anyone suggest us to fix this issue.
Regards,
Yogesh Kumar DHello,
which kind of VPN do you use?
Does this guarantee full network access to the domain servers?
Is the VPN network IPv4 or IPv6 based?
thanks for the information

Hi All,
We are having a project to implement NW SSO for NWBC for HTML, Citrix XenApp will be used as the desktop environment. The requirement is that no Java allowed to be installed on the web browser.
According to PAM, Secure Login Client is not support Microsoft Application Virtualization (App-V), so how can we deploy the Secure Login Client to Citrix environment?
If we want to use Secure Login Web Client instead of Secure Login Client, does Secure Login Web Client requires Java installed on users' web browsers? In the latest Secure Login implementation guide (SSO 2.0), it does not mentioned anything about Java runtime. However, because as far as I understand, Secure Login Web Client is a feature of Secure Login Server, while Secure Login Server is pure Java application, I suspect that Secure Login Web Client also require Java runtime to run. Is that true?
Best regards,
DuyHello Duy,
The Product Availability Matrix states that Secure Login Web Client needs a Java runtime in the browser. See the footer of the Secure Login Web Client pages for Windows and Linux/MAC OS browser platform support. It says the following:
For Windows: SupportedJava Runtime: Oracle (Sun) JSE 6, 7 and8, 32bit
For Linux/MAC OS: Supported Java Runtime: Oracle (Sun) JSE 6.0 and7.0, 32bit/64bit depending on browser

Secure Login and trust between BO/BW
Hi.
We configured server-side trust between BO and BW using libsapcrypto library. All works fine.
Now we installing Secure Login (SAP NetWeaver Single Sign-On) for SSO from SAP GUI based on Kerberos token. To configure Secure Login we need to modify profile parameters like
snc/identity/as=p:CN=QBW, OU=Surgutasuneft, O=Surgutneftegas, C=RU
snc/gssapi_lib=/sapmnt/QBW/exe/libsapcrypto.so
which were in use by server-side trust between BO and BW. So when we modify them like in installation guide for Secure Login to this:
snc/identity/as=p:CN=SAP/[email protected]
snc/gssapi_lib=/usr/sap/QBW/DVEBMGS20/SLL/libsecgss.sl
we can use SAP GUI SSO to BW but can't run reports from BO since we broke server-side trust.
We tried many different variations of using these two libraries (including fully regenerating certificates both on BW and BO for server-side trust) but they all failed.
Any suggestions of how we can activate SAP NetWeaver Single Sign-On on our BW systems, without breaking server-side trust between BW and BO?
Thanks in advance
wbr
StanislavThanks, but this problem was resolved. Frane was very helpfull in solving this problem, but it was beyond the forum.
He described the possibility of Secure Login Client that I did not know.
Another possibility is implemented in Secure Login Client 1.0 SP02 Patch 03 and higher (current version is 1.0 SP03 Patch 02).
Secure Login Client is able to “rebuild” the required SPN Name (in your example p:CN=SAP/[email protected]).
This means if the X.509 certificate SNC name is p:CN=KerberosSSO à Secure Login Client will rebuild p:CN=SAP/[email protected]
This works also if the X.509 certificate name is p:CN=KerberosSSO, OU=SAP Security, C=RU
Maybe this solution integration is easier for You? You can use the transaction STRUST to create a self-signed certificate.
Thanks again, Frane. -
Hi All,
I want to implement single sign on using secure login. Secure login provides 3 components: secure login server,secure login library and secure login client.
In installation guide it says that it is not necessary to install all components.This depends upon the use case scenarios.
In my case it will be active directory using kerberos technology. So I have to install login library and login client. or any one of them.
Please let me know.
Regards,
JoshHi,
please do the below steps
Step1: Install SAP library on your local P.C.
Step 2: Configure the sapdoc.ini
Configure file sapdoc.ini with the entry as shown. This file exists on C:\Windows. If it is not found, create it using your favorite text editor.
HtmlHelpFilePath-EN=<C:\Program Files\SAP\SAP ERP Central Component 5.0 English\HELPDATA\EN> : Path of SAP help where you installed it on your P.C.
u2014-
Step3: logon to sap dev system
u2013> Execute the tcode SR13
u2013> Click on the tab HtmlHelp file
u2013 >Click on New entries Enter variant name (ECC5 if u r using SAP ECC5)
-->Platform =Win32 if you are using xp
-->Area =IWBHELP
-->Path = http://help.sap.com Or path of the your server where SAP library is installed.
Save it. Request Dialog prompts you to create request. Create Request.
Transport the request to Quality & Production.
Note: Entries in the file sapdoc.ini overwrites the settings present in SR13, if SAP library is not available on your local
system, it starts from central location.

AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client with Oracle ESSO 11.1.1.5
Hello,
we are about to implement Oracle SSO for our client whose employees use Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client 3.0.5080 to access their internal network. The VPN access requires having the correct certificate installed on the client computers and users are required to enter their credentials (the same credentials that are stored in MS AD). All the client computers run Win 7.
Now - what we want to achieve is following: A client's employee logs into a domain, using domain account and starts the Cisco AnyConnect. The best option would be that the Oracle SSO would take it from here and do the rest in setting up the VPN connection - confirming the pre-selected profile, clicking the connect button, then filling the user credentials (from Oracle SSO database) in and confirming the dialog. Or, which is probably more viable way - the user will start AnyConnect, selecting which network to login in and the SSO will only enter the credentials and submit them to establish the connection.
So far we have been able to create templates for Oracle SSO to automatically enter the credentials for various applications, including SAP, but we are not able to create working template for AnyConnect. We are able to catch all the fields in the login window - Username, Password, Ok/Submit - when creating the template in ESSO-LM Admin Console but once the template is published to the repository and added to the test user in ESSO-PG, the SSO does not fill the credentials in. We also tried to "bypass this" using SendKeys with no result as well. All other applikcatios work.
Do you have any experience with such situation or have any hints what can we try?
Thank you for any answers,
Ondrej
PS: I have found https://supportforums.cisco.com/message/3852541. Is it really that the AnyConnect does not allow any application any input?Here is a link to an example of configuring AnyConnect to use IKEv2. According to this ASA 8.4 and AnyConnect 3.1 should be ok.

Hi, We are looking to make the Portal available to our clients over the internet with a secure login. Is there any way to allow us to allow login in any of the following ways?: What would be required?
1. User Logs in with User Name/Password, but only if they have a Certificate we issued to them or they have on their pc.
2. Allow the Portal to automatically log them in if they have a certificate?
ThanksHi,
if I understand you correctly, you want to have a mutual authentication, meaning:
1. You'll have a SSL secured connection to your portal from the Internet
2. The users do have a client certificate that your organization (CA, PKI) has issued.
The EP supports client certificates. You'll have to enable this feature on the portal server.

Hello, I am a software engineer and have been trying to connect to my client's VPN using the AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client (version 3.1.04066) and keep receiving the error "The VPN client driver encountered an error. Please try again or restart your system."
I am on a Windows 7 system with an intel i7-2670QM cpu. My computer model is an HP Pavilion dv7.
I have tried uninstalling the software, re-installing it. I've tried restarting my system multiple times through the process. I've checked the registry and made sure the name was setup correctly. I have checked and made sure that the correct services are not enabled. I have also tried what was suggested on the support page and checked the integrity of catroot2 as well as renaming it and regenerating the folder. None of these have been able to fix my problem.
For information, this is the message history when I try to connect:

I have tried every kind of search I can think of to find any other solutions to try, and I cannot find anything else. Does anyone have any other recommendations of what to try in order to be able to connect to my client?
-TheJayDudeYes, I am sorry to say that several people have seen the same issue. It seems like the issue is specific to Yosemite and Anyconnect. My very technical staff and I have tried many things. The default route is missing and the file /var/run/resolv.conf is also missing which means that both the route and DNS server are messed up. We re-added the default route manually which allows us to ping the servers and even access them via the IP address
Run the command below before starting the VPN to get the default route
netstat -nr | grep default
Then run the following to re-add the default route.
route add default xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
BUT there is no way that I can find to fix the DNS entry.
We tried re-adding the DNS entries in the /var/run/resolv.conf and then restarting the DNS service
$ sudo launchctl unload -w /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.discoveryd.plist
Password:
$ sudo launchctl load -w /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.discoveryd.plist
BUT THIS DOES NOT WORK!
If anyone can help us solve the DNS issue, at least we have a work-around for our technical people until Cisco and/or Apple can resolve it.
Here is a link to the same issue at Cisco.

Hi,
I use Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client 3.1.05170 to connect to my company network and it has been working successfully for a while and until Sunday evening Feb 8.
Today, this solution is no longer working and I've reproduced the same issue on 3 different Mac's which have 10.10.2 (on 2 Mac's) and 10.9.5 (on 1 Mac).
I can navigate on internet without any problem but when I launch the connection in Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client, it time outs and I get the following errors:

Any idea about a solution ?
Thanks in advance
NicolasThere seem to be much more problems with 3.1.04049
Especially with certificate authentication.
I opened some TAC cases.
Try 3.1.04063 that came out at 07-24-13.
TAC said that there are some fixes in it... -
Problems with Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client 3.1
Since I upgraded to Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client 3.1, I am unable to start my VPN.
The service does not start correctly anymore. I tried reinstabut no help.
Could anyone help me please?
Here my logs.
Thank you very much.

UntrustedNetworkPThere seem to be much more problems with 3.1.04049
Especially with certificate authentication.
I opened some TAC cases.
Try 3.1.04063 that came out at 07-24-13.
TAC said that there are some fixes in it... -
Hello there.
I am having a problem with Cisco AnyConnect version 3.1.04072. When one of my colleagues disconnects from the VPN session, closes out the program, and then later on, reopens the client, the address that he manually entered did not save and it's defaulting on the two now-defunct VPN servers listed.
Here's an example to see if it makes more sense:
-User opens Cisco AnyConnect. By default, there are two selections available on the pulldown:
SSLVPN.abcdefg.com
access.abcdefg.ca
These two VPN servers are now defunct and we use a new VPN server:
access.abcdefg.com
The user has to manually type it in. He is now able to connect. However, when disconnected. Regardless if the program is closed or not, it does not save the new VPN server address, rather goes back to the default two VPN servers listed.
I've checked XML, HTML, registry keys, sys files, dll files to see if I can change the default servers manually. No sign of it.
I'm hoping that someone out there knows a solution to fix it.
Thanks in advance!Hi Vergel ,
You can create Anyconnect client profile on ASA. In this profile , you can define the hostname/IP that you wish to connect , along with hostname/IP that should be displayed on the client.
In the client profile , you can define these parameters - "HostName" and "HostAddress" as "access.abcdefg.com" so that any user , who tries to connects , will see "access.abcdefg.com" as the name displayed in the anyconnect connect field.
On the client, the xml profile (C:\ProgramData\Cisco\Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client\Profile) [Win 7] can be seen using those parameters as follows:-
<HostEntry>
<HostName>access.abcdefg.com</HostName>
<HostAddress>access.abcdefg.com</HostAddress>
</HostEntry>
Ref:- http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/security/vpn_client/anyconnect/anyconnect30/administration/guide/anyconnectadmin30/ac03vpn.html#89103
Additionally, you can try to delete preferences.xml file to remove the redundant hostnames from the anyconnect connect filed.
Path for preferences.xml is C:\Users\Cisco\AppData\Local\Cisco\Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client (Win 7),
Hope this helps.

Dinesh Moudgil

Web Center app with ADF Security - login problem
I have a custome Oracle Web Center app.
I have a page.html with an embedded login form posting to j_security_check. I've configured the ADF security policies to redirect to a JSPX on successful login.
When I try the correct username/password, I get redirected not to the page I defined in ADF, but to the root page http://127.0.0.1:7101/MyApp-ViewController-context-root/
and i get
Error 403--Forbidden
I've checked the weblogic.xml as per http://andrejusb.blogspot.com/2009/12/solving-error-403-forbidden-in-adf.html, all the required entries are there.
This works fine if i use a Login link with
destination="#{'/adfAuthentication?login=true&end_url=/faces/postLogin.jspx'} "
which redirects to the default login.html and then to the right page. I've copied the form from the default login.html into my master HTML page.
Hope my question is clear. Any suggestions why it is going to the wrong URL after login.
Is there anything specific I should see in the jazn-data.xml or web.xml regarding the post-login URL since i cant see that in either.
P.S. Have been advised to try here when I originally asked this in the WebCenter forum. Web Center app ADF Security - login problem
Edited by: new_to_webcenter on 18-Jan-2011 05:25Thanks for your response Frank.
The web.xml has
<security-constraint>
<web-resource-collection>
<web-resource-name>adfAuthentication</web-resource-name>
<url-pattern>/adfAuthentication</url-pattern>
</web-resource-collection>
<auth-constraint>
<role-name>valid-users</role-name>
</auth-constraint>
</security-constraint>
<login-config>
<auth-method>FORM</auth-method>
<form-login-config>
<form-login-page>/login.html</form-login-page>
<form-error-page>/error.html</form-error-page>
</form-login-config>
</login-config>
When configuring ADF Security via JDev , I chose "Redirect upon successful authentication" to the Welcome Page
"/faces/postLogin.jspx"
this then adds into web.xml
<servlet>
<servlet-name>adfAuthentication</servlet-name>
<servlet-class>oracle.adf.share.security.authentication.AuthenticationServlet</servlet-class>
<init-param>
<param-name>success_url</param-name>
<param-value>/faces/postLogin.jspx</param-value>
</init-param>
<load-on-startup>1</load-on-startup>
</servlet>
So the sequence which works is:
Login via the '/adfAuthentication?login=true&end_url=/faces/postLogin.jspx' and this redirects to login.html (OOTB form which posts to j_security_check) and then to the postLogin.jspx
I'm trying to do away with a Login link, and trying the simple login form embedded in my page alongwith other content.
So should the form be posting to j_security_check directly or to the adfAuthentication ? -
Configuration File goes bad in Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client.
Hi everyone
We are running a Cisco ISE Version: 1.3.0.876 Patch 1 for 802.1X deployment (Wired + Wireless) with posture assessment where the supplicant for the endpoint is Cisco Anyconnect Secure Mobility Client v4.0.00061.
Symptoms:
The Configuration is working fine both Wired and Wireless, but the issue is that some user suddenly start to have issue connecting Wireless with the Cisco Anyconnect dislpaying System Scan: Bypassing Anconnect Scan
(Some info are masked)
and When I digged into this found that the configuration.xml files in the path: C:\ProgramData\Cisco\Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client\Network Access Manager\newConfigFiles is renamed automatically into configuration_bad.xml.
Workaround:
Copy and paste a normal configuration.xml into the same path again.
Restart the Cisco anyconnect services or restart the Endpoint.
Question:
So was wondering if anybody has a clue why this configutatyion.xml turned into bad??
I'm goin to dig into the Event Viewer for logs about this before going to Cisco TACfirst poster -
"Downloads from random internet sites are 5-10 times faster than anything from a server on the VPN."
Your corporate network may just have too little bandwidth, your taking a poor internet route between carriers (ISP's are often maxed out believe it or not), there is a speed an duplex problem or you have a bad MTU. test all of them. your pc's MTU should be 1300. MAX on all interfaces. use the setmtu.exe tool.
Jcohen - if you disable the IPS on the ASA does the slow transfer problem go away?
