Secure SIP lines are not supported on the CME
Hi,
I was looking for the configuration of Secure SIP lines on the CME and found in the link bellow that "Secure SIP lines are not supported on the Cisco Unified CME mode", only Secure SCCP lines is supported:
http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucme/admin/configuration/guide/cmeadm/cmeauth.html
In my opinion, security is an important subject nowadays and SIP is what Cisco is investing more and more ... it's awkward that Secure SIP lines is not supported on the CME.
Does anyone knows if this will be implemented in future versions of CME?
Thanks.
Just to described the answer that I received from Cisco ... there is a roadmap for FY16.
Regards.

I am reciving intermittent errors saving attachments from mail: "Names longer than 31 characters are not supported on the destination volume."
I am seeing this too.
I Posted in similar thread 6704033
Error when saving calendar exports-names longer than 31 characters not supported on the destination volume.
Very spooky. Not always reproducible, but it happened to me while using Office365-Outlook web-based email (saving a PDF).
RE: the suggestion, checking security box "allow apps downloaded from all sites" I would really rather not do that.
On my system it is set to allow "Mac App store and identified developers."
Oh sorry, I'm on Yosemite, I see this is Mav forum... -
I've just tried to save a document in Pages and got this error
Names longer than 31 characters are not supported on the destination volume
Never had a problem like this before. I haven't changed disks or formatted disks. Running latest Yosemite 10.10
The only reference I can find to this error on the internet says that it's for applications prior to OS X which I think we can discount.
The only other reference I can find in the support community relates to one person with problems saving attachments in Mail and dates from early 2014.
Can anybody give me a suggestion on what I might need to do?
ThanksWhat format are you saving to?
Where are you saving the files to and what is that volume formatted as?
Have you tested with files from other applications, such as TextEdit?

Help! Some features of Mac OS X Mavericks are not supported for the disk "Macintosh HD"
I'm on a MacBook 13" mid 2010, OS X 10.7.5, I want to upgrade to OS X Mavericks. I have searched around for a few days, I find people with the same problem but can't really get the solution for it. I prefer not to reinstall OS X, I want to upgrade. I don't have boot camp or something just a 250 GB HD.
Well, while I'm trying to upgrade from the download from Apps Store, I open the installer, press continue then accepts the Terms.. then select Macintosh HD and click install, then an warning message shows up "Some features of Mac OS X Mavericks are not supported for the disk "Macintosh HD"
As I've read the article that is included in the waring message i did try to install anyway because it say that I would be fine, but when i did try to install the installer starts and after like 3 minutes a window appears, Install Failed.
I've even try to make a installer on USB, both with the command in terminal and with Diskmaker, but it does not help.
It seems impossible to upgrade. Please Help me.First, see the heading "What to do if the installer warns that no Recovery System can be created" in this support article. If you use Boot Camp, back up and delete the Windows partition using Boot Camp Assistant. Try the installation again.

Some features of Mac OS X Lion are not supported for the disk
At the beginning of the installation on my MacBook Pro (early 2008, non-unibody) this alert appeared. The disk is partitioned into three partitions: 1. = Photoshop-scratch, 2. = System, 3. = Bootcamp. It seems that this causes the system-message. What could be the reason for that: The Photoshop-partition or Bootcamp? Is it possible to erase just the PS-partition and then install Lion or do I have to reformat the disk?

Are there any specific files (other than swf) that are not supported in the content viewer?
Specifically -- Is there a limitation as to any content in a PDF that would keep it from displaying correctly other than swf?

Mahendran PWhen is Apple going to ... allow us to use USB 3 on a Mac Platform.
Maybe in 2011 when Intel starts using it? There's a website for this here:

You were simply cheated on ebay I think.
In any case, you can tell them what you want here:

Everytime I go into Mail and/or Safari, I receive a pop-up the states "There was a problem connecting to the server. URL's with the type "File:" are not supported. The pop-up comes up twice each time and I have to click "ok" to close them. Only started after install of OS Lion 10.7. Any one else have this and is there a solution. It is just plain irrating that is does this each time I check my mail or go on the internet. Thanks!
That's interesting. I bet that helps other Safari users!

... 31 characters are not supported ...
When I trying to save a file to disk from a browser (Firefox, Chrome not Safari), I get a system message that says "Names 31 characters are not supported on the volume destination. Please choose a filename That is no longer That 31 charters. "
from this website
http://www.jmu.edu/computing/mac/filenamesOSX.shtml
Long file names. Mac OS 9 has a 31-character limit for filenames. In Mac OS X, a filename can be as long as 256 characters and span several lines.
Still, a couple of glitches are possible:
In many applications (especially non-cocoa ones), the Open and Save dialogs show only the first 31 characters of a filename. If you simply open and save a document that already has a longer name, the full name is preserved even though you don't see it in the Open and Save dialogs. If you use the Save As command to save a file under a new name, however, you will be limited to 31 characters (although you can add extra characters in the Finder later).
Some applications may truncate a long name to 31 characters when saving a file. Some compression utilities may do this when compressing a file or folder. -
SunFire V490: Exactly what features are "Not supported"?
Hello, I saw the system matrix state that "Not all features are supported for the Sun Fire V490 Server". Does anyone know exactly what features are, or are not supported on the V490?
I believe it is referring to the firmware management. The RSC systems have somewhat limited abilities within Ops Center.
From an OS perspective, all features would be supported - patching, provisioning, zone management, etc. -
hi,
hope that someone can help.
I ran into port channel issue when trying to add 4 port Quantum Dxi server into a port channel in 3750 stack.
Configs looks ok:
interface Port-channel6
description qdx-server
switchport access vlan 3
switchport mode access
spanning-tree portfast
spanning-tree bpduguard enable
end
all four ports configured as follows
interface GigabitEthernet1/0/7 , 1/0/5 , 2/0/7 and 2/0/8
description qdx-server-ethx
switchport access vlan 3
switchport mode access
spanning-tree portfast
spanning-tree bpduguard enable
channel-protocol lacp
channel-group 6 mode active
end
all ports joined the channel except Gi 1/0/5 - it got suspended once joined the port channel
From the debug I got the following:

Since updating to Mountain Lion in the last week, an error message keeps popping up. The graphic is the button with 3 stick men holding hands and the message is "There was a problem connecting to the server. URLs with the type "file:" are not supported". Any solutions found?
Open the Time Machine pane in System Preferences. If it shows that Time Machine is ON, click the padlock icon in the lower left corner, if necessary, to unlock it. Scroll to the bottom of the list of backup drives and click Add or Remove Backup Disk. Remove all the disks, then add them back. Quit System Preferences. Test.

I need to setup 7800 Series IP Phones in the CUCM 8.6.2 which by default are not support but will work after install the software. Anyone have document from Cisco as I remember I seen once before.
Hi Ali,
I'll just add this reference to the good tips from my friend Manish (+5)
Support for the 7800 series in CUCM 8.6.2 was first added with this
Device Pack;
Cisco Unified Communications Manager
Device Package 8.6(2)(24104-1)Release Notes
Cisco Unified Communications Manager Device Package Release 8.6(2)
adds support for the Cisco IP Phones
7821, 7841, and 7861 running SIP firmware release 10.1(1).
The steps are in this doc
http://www.cisco.com/web/software/282074299/107528/cmterm-devicepack-8.6.2.24104-1_Readme.pdf
You might as well install the latest 8.6.2 Device pack
