Secure wireless question - Cam my mac remember settings

Greetings,
I have a G4 powerbook laptop and a Linksys wireless router. I currently have a secure 128bit/hex setting on the router. This works very well. The connection is solid and "not broadcast", so essentially it is invisible.
Each time I use the wireless (if I am in a different room of my house) I have to manually enter my password key and select the type of encryption I am using.
How can I have my Mac "remember" the settings?
The drill is I start up, open "Other" (from the wireless control), type in my Network Name, select WEP 40/128-bit hex for Wireless Security, then enter my password key (originally generated by the Linksys Router). I am then good to go.
I have to do this each time I use the wireless setting. Is there any way I can have all those setting "remembered" and to be enacted automatically when not connected via ethernet cable?

Your not invisible. Even if you don't broadcast your SSID amateur crackers can sniff out your netwok using simple tools that can be downloaded from the net. So whether you hide or broadcast it make no difference to your level of security.
Your security is determinef by the encryption you use. But a WEP key is easily cracked. So you are not really protected at all.
The only protection you should consider using on your linksys box is WPA-PSK.
You should really broadcast your SSID as this helps your neighbours. As wifi becomes more popular neighbours should be aware of choosing none conflicting wireless channels.
So I would suggest you delete all references to your wireless network in your keychain utility. Then remove all the enteries to your wireless network in your preferred networks on your system preferneces>network>show airport.
Then setup your linksys box to broadcast the SSID, and setup a WPA pre shared key.
Then the first time you connect to it using your mac save the save the password in the keychain.

Wireless IP Security Camera for Mac

We have an unfotrunate situation with a neighbor and need a wireless IP camera to work with our apple airports. Does anyone have any recomendations for a camera we can plug into the usb port in our car and record the video onto our mac? I've looked at many cameras on google but am confused. We need something to record overnight in a lighted parkade from inside our car window. This mightbe another way to put our apple products to good use if it can be done. Thanks, Sue

WRT160N wireless MAC Filter settings reset on their own

I recently purchased and setup a WRT160N router. Having no real problems with router - it works fine with exception of the MAC filter settings. I most often access the router config from an XP machine (used to initially setup the router) which is wired, as well as from a VISTA notebook that is wireless. I am noticing that when I check the MAC filter settings, the previous setup is missing - meaning that all MAC addresses are gone, and the filtering option is removed.
I have set this up numerous times, and VERIFIED that I click on save at the bottom of the page, verify I have enable checked, etc. I am wondering if there is something I'm missing - the settings don't appear to "stay" - the filtering option simply disappears and returns to disabled. I may answer my own question here (or point myself in the right direction), but is there a dependancy on some other setting that is causing my filter to "disappear" on me?

Have you tried to reset your Router and Re-configure all the settings back on your Router? If not then Reset your Router and re-configure all the settings. If still doesn't work, then you need to upgrade the firmware of your Router. Download the latest firmware for your Router from the Linksys website, Go to http://www.linksysbycisco.com/US/en/support/wrt160n/downloads and select the proper version number of your Router and download and save the firmware on your computer.
Login to the Routers GUI and click on the Administration tab and below click on the sub tab "Firmware Upgrade" and click on the browse button and select the firmware file and click on upgrade...Once the firmware upgrade is successful... Then you need to Press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds...Release the reset button...Unplug the power cable from your router, wait for 30 seconds and re-connect the power cable...Now re-configure your router...

As these are public forums, you're not talking to iTunes Support, I've asked the hosts to remove your email address from your post - it's not a good idea to post it unless you like spam email.
The reset link will only show if you have a rescue email address on your account - a rescue email address is not the same as an alternate/secondary email address, they are different addresses/settings on an account.
If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer 2 of your questions) then you won't get the reset option - you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.

Hi, I am trying to print to an HP4050n via a secure wireless network. It prints but the default page setting sent to the printer is JIS B5. I have to hit the "Go" to get the printer to print. I have the correct setting in my Printer Settings (Letter).

I am attempting to print via a wireless (secure) network to an HP4050n printer. The document prints AFTER I choose "GO" on the printer. It is waiting as it wants me to load the JIS B5 paper/tray. I have the printer defined as Letter but in spite of that, it is requesting a different setting. I am thinking that because I am using the Generic PCL setting (I also tried the HP 4/5 PCL ) it is not communicating correctly. It does print once I get up and hit the GO button.

The paper size would normally be coming from the application rather than some setting in the driver. I've never seen the Generic PCL driver send a request for B5, but then I do use A4 rather than Letter and I don't have a PCL printer at home to check this. But I do think it has more to do with the application/document being printed.
For the application that you are using, is there are a separate Page Setup menu?
If the page and document is correctly set to Letter, you mention a wireless secure. If you mean something more than a wireless network that requires a password to access it, such as using https to connect to a remote server, then it could be settings for the shared printer queue. Although these shared printers are usually just an access point (throughport) for the remote client. Still, if you do have some additional network server for this secure wireless network, then this could be contributing to the incorrect paper size call.
