I have 3 reports that are to be migrated into Hyperion Insight. They are at
present in Hyperion Explorer.
It has a single login page where login information (user name and password) is
captured and then the menu page opens up.
In the menu page there are 3 links pointing to different dashboards,charts and
results. Also, this login page is a seperate query and this query calls other 3
reports and based on java script intelligence it passes on actual report
name,dashboard name and also user authorization details.
Now while migrating it onto Hyperion Portal insight, since it is web based -
1. How can I have single logon for these 3 reports stored and passed onto other
reports? since here the method for web sessions is OpenURL method.What do you

My landscape is
systems: DEV ( Dev & QA )----->PRD ( prod ).
i.e, Development and Quality in one sys DEV , Production in the other PRD.
i have two business systems in DEV :
1) BS_Dev1
2) BS_Dev2
i created a group for these , say DEV_GROUP
As Dev and QA are under one SLD, there is no need of quality group right?
so i have created business sys in DEV:
which points the target business systems for BS_Dev1 & BS_Dev2
1) BS_Pro1
2) BS_Pro2
and created a target group for these, say PRO_GROUP
So my question is , as there is no QA in landscape
this would be the procedure to create the Groups and target systems for the objects of DEV (Dev & QA ) to PRD.
And then transport the objects from DEV (SLD -> Administration -> Content -> Export)
to PRD (SLD -> Administration -> Content -> Import).
Correct me if i am wrong.

I have 3 line items with Different materials having diffent quantities and there are different delivery dates and different delivery schedule dates. I need to create single delivery. Single-Sign with Essbase and WebLogic

Hi,I am trying to achieve a single sign-on between my WebLogic application and Essbase. I am looking at the new security platform API but I don't quite understand how that achieves single sign-on.The API requires me to authenticate the user with a username/password first before I can get the token, but the user is already authenticated by WebLogic and there is no way to get the password (SSL with form authentication).Does the security platform not cover this scenario? Use of JAAS in WLS6 for sngle logon

We're in the design stage of a product, which will be based on Weblogic Server 6 and are hoping to use JAAS.
I'm quite new to WL in general and JAAS security and having read the documentation, I'm still not clear on a few points about how JAAS is used in WLS6.
We're intending to provide a single logon for the system and then to log users on to other services such as email etc. behind the scenes, when the user requests them.
Does JAAS in WLS6 support this and if so, how best could we achieve it?
One idea I've read on the Sun site is that you can instantiate multiple LoginContexts at different times during the user session, each using a different Configuration pointing to different LoginModules to achieve this.
A couple of other things I've come across which may be useful in this context are :-
the <run-as-specified-identity> tag in the deployment descriptor
LoginModules being able to share information

Yes, that is the sequence specified under JAAS

MM02 and BAPI - doesn't work for ROH materials

Hi all,
I use function BAPI_MATERIAL_SAVEDATA to change planned price 1 and planned price date 1 for materials. It works fine for some material types, but not for ROH, though I've got the same return message for all of them that change is successful. Have you any ideas why?
When I change these fields manually in MM02 then I have no problems.

some time the the configuration wont allow us to change some DATA.. even if u try to chage the data it wont reflect..
counsult the functionak guy.. my there is some different considaration for the material type ROH..

BC Assistant won't create single partition for Windows on four drive MacPro

I have a Mac Pro with four HDs, and want to dedicate one of them to be a Windows disk.
When I run Bootcamp assistant and select the intended windows disc, I have the options to partition or "Erase the Disk and Create a Single Partition for Windows".
I select the Single partition option and continue, but the Bootcamp volume is not created. In Disk Utility it appears as an unmounted disk with name like disk4s2 or similar.
If I select the partition option, it correctly creates an "Untitled" mac partition and a "Bootcamp" partition.
I have repeated this with different hard drives and after zeroing out the intended disk.

PS I have Softraid on my system, although neither my Boot drive or the intended windows drive are converted to Softraid format. The Softraid driver is installed on my boot drive. Do you think this might be the problem?

Thanks for the answer, which unfortunately isn't quite appropriate in my case, which I didn't lay out fully in the interest of brevity.
My usual configuration is with a the bay 2 HD a dedicated Windows 7 whole disk installation, which works fine.
I occasionally need to support my father with Vista problems. I used to have Vista on this bay 2 HD, and still have a Winclone image from then.
My goal is to have a spare sled and slot in the Vista HD in when I need Vista. I don't want to start again installing etc.
Since starting this thread, I decided to proceed with the Bootcamp assistant option which worked, ie to partition to an OSX and Windows partition, and make the OSX one as small as poss (5Gb) then delete that partition. I have restored the Winclone image, and all is working exactly as I want it, except I have lost 5gb. Not a big deal.

If the lockbox file being processed by RFEBLB00 has more than one invoices for a single check (i.e. multiple type '4' records for a type '6' record), the payment doc created will be for both these invoices.
Now when you clear the payment doc using FBRA or F.80, both these invoices will be cleared.

Best practice for application module for scalability

if i compare application module with forms 6i runtime session.(correct me if i wrong)

When I login into "BPC for Excel" why are the applications "RATE" and "PLANNING" not in drop-down for 'Application'? Has this anything to do with security or has it got to do with "RATE" and "PLANNING" being SAP delivered content in BPC?

Wrong calculation for condition type for misc. provision in service PO

Hi Gurus,
In service PO line item, we have maintained customised condition type for misc provision. this is % based on net price. It has been assigned account key and accrual key. It's manual. Logically, it should calculate the value based on the total of the net values of all service lines and post a single entry for all concerned service lines. What system is actually doing, it calculates the value correctly for total of net values of service lines in that PO line item but post it to the account as many number of times as the number of service lines in that line item.
This is when service based IV is active for the PO line item. If I deactivate this, then it post the account once only which is ok.
Please explain this behaviour. Also, I want to activate service based IV, what should I do to this condition type. Is there any condtion base formula or condtion value formual to be assigned in the pricing procedure?

Check if some user exit/ routine is written for the condition type.
Check user exit RV60AFZZ, RV60AFZA, RV60AFZB,RV60AFZC for some code.
If it is a manual condition check COPY CONTROLS or if it is automatic check condition records from which it is calculated based on qty, price, material type, etc.

Single form for secure zone registration and web app submission?

Is it possible to setup a form where a user can simultaneously register for a secure zone and submit a web app entry? The knowledge base / tutorials describe a two step process (web form for secure zone registration and web app input form for web app submission), but I would like users to be able to do both with a single form

In order to have a customer create a web app item they must be logged into the secure zone already. I've seen some instructions on how to let users submit web app items outside a secure zone but that requires creating a dummy anonymous user and logging them into the secure zone via javascript. You could use this method and once it's submitted you'll have to manually attach the web app item to the correct user in the BC Admin. That might not work for you but you can read more about that at http://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-1784
You can't use the above solution with the current user's username and password because those tags are only available when the user is logged into a secure zone already. If your signup form needs to be filled out first, the user isn't logged in.
Your best bet is to have the public signup form redirect the user after submission to an "Add item" form you have created. Maks sure that form is in a secure zone so when they add the item it is attached to their account.
If you don't want to redirect them to a secure zone and want it more seamless you could try to use some javascript/ajax to submit the form via javascript and after the form is submitted, use the javascript code in the above to log them in (be careful to use the https://yoursite.worldsecuresystems.com url if you are passing username and password info gathered from your form to log them in via javascript/ajax). Once they are logged in via the javascript you can use more ajax to fetch a page's HTML that resides in a secure zone. This HTML returned from the javascript can be your "add web app item" form and since they were logged in via javascript (securely, right?) this HTML should contain the right information. Insert this returned HTML into your form container that held the original signup form and they can continue to add a web app item without having to log in.
This is theory and might work but you'll have to start experimenting with it via javascript. I haven't actually tried to do this so hopefully some other community members who might have tried this can weigh in here as well.
