Security Apps

Anyone know if there is an app out there that would block syncing with iTunes without a password, or restrict deletion of texts without a password?

An app would not be able to do any of that. Syncing is at the operating system level, which an app cannot control. Security of deletion of text would also need to be at the operating system level.

I've never heard of this software, and cannot find any reference to it online, which is a bit concerning. What is it supposed to do? There really isn't much need for security software on a Mac.

In Mac OS X 10.7, any applications left open when you shut down or restart are re-opened at startup, and any documents left open in an app when you quit are re-opened when you launch them again. The former can be controlled by unchecking the box in the restart/shutdown alert:
You will need to do this each time you shut down or restart, it won't remember that setting.
The latter can be deactivated by unchecking the box in System Preferences -> General:

That does not sound normal, but I don't use a mouse with my MBP, so I can't provide a solution, other than to try replacing the batteries in the mouse.

me to log in?! In SP2 it did as required by the security roles in the

More info. I think it is my deployment descriptor that is the issue.
Somehow SP2 determined what secure application an EJB belonged to and asked
my IIOP client to ask for the user/password. Now I think I need to include
the role information etc within the descriptors for the EJBs. I did this as
described in the DTDs but still nothing. Does anyone have a working secure
IIOP client running with SP3?

Installing Security Apps

Does anyone have any advice/input on installing a security app on the HTC Droid incredible? I was looking into "Lookout Mobile Security" but have been getting good and bad results.
Any input would be appreciated.

Has anyone used a mobility security program like bullguard successfully? What are are downsides?

I have used Lookout and AVG anti-virus for almost two years without problems. I haven't looked at any other Security Apps since choosing those two.

I recently got a security app from Avast it was the non cost one but with Premium it would cost $ 1.99/month or pay $14.99/year but my Question is Does paying really get ya any better protection and is there better security apps than that of Avast..

What junk are you asking if it stops? Nothing ever pops up on my screen which I do not initiate. Is this what you mean? Are you asking if it stops me from accessing a website it has determined to be junk? I am not sure what you mean by stopping "junk".
What ads do you mean, too? If an ad is a part of a website, it does not block those. I do not have popups appearing when I go to websites, though. However I don't go to a lot of websites which I am not aware of ahead of time. Once again, what ads are you asking if it stops?
While I do not subscribe to the premium version, it does have "safe browsing" included in it.

Need help finding security App

Hi everyone, I just bought the Droid Charge by Samsung and I have been researching the various security Apps but I still have questions. The security application that Verizon is prominently supporting, Good(product name), is one of the few (the only one I've found) that encrypts its data. Everyone else touts their firewalls and virus protection which is nice but they don't say anything about encryption. Does anyone know of a product out there that has encryption, a firewall and virus protection? Does anyone know how much the Good App costs? ALSO, is the Droid Charge considered a Google Android? Juniper Secure App Manager doesn't launch

Does anyone know if JSAM still requires Java 5.0 and Safari 4.0.3?
I had been looking at the below thread, as Juniper's plugin won't load for me (running Java 6 and 4.0.4, tried running in 32-bit), still saying "secure app manager could not launch"

The Juniper SAM still requires Java 5.0 for me. I upgraded Java last week, and JSAM failed, so I went back to using the old version of Java and it works fine again.

Haven't seen one and I cannot think of a much more dangerous thing to do with the number of iPhones reported lost and stollen in a day on here.

Track and data secure apps

I just wanted to float a idea out there. As I look at the adds for the new phones by other manufactures as their enhancements make them faster and smarter, also offer by sending our personal data to some unknown app cloud faster and better too. I only see this as an angle BB can use. To promote and sell at BB World "Data lock apps", maybe all the BB apps should have this secure lock. If BB is going to be secure, make everything secure.

ASKING OPINION: Best Notes app and best security app

If anyone would like to weigh in, I'm interested to heard. I'm a longtime Palm PDA user and have a bunch of memos to move to my new iPhone. I've been looking at a bunch of notes/files/memos apps and the two best seem to be: _Notespark and Memos_. Any opinion on these? Many of these lack security or password protection like I have on my Palm PDA.
That gets me to the next issue which is a solid password/security app. There are a lot of them, but the idea of having a program that has accounts labeled "Credit Cards, Bank Accounts, etc" makes me a little uneasy for hackers. It's like saying, "Here are all my accounts in this security program, come and get them!" Also, there is online storage of these with some apps for backup and I don't think many of these companies/developers have been around too long. Hard to trust.

1Password is an excellent security app. I use it, and sync it with 1Password on my Mac.
With 1Password, you can store login information, store secure notes, generate passwords, and store wallet information like credit cards.

Oracle ADF Secured App Gives HTTP 401 Error

The video was about creating a custome login page. You have to create login,error anad the target pages. When you try to open target page login page comes then you enter your credentials. After success yoou should be directed to the target page. I used a backing bean to process credentials but instead of redirected to target page the response page gives:

i deleted the anonymous role but i still get the HTTP 404 error

How do I activate a financial institute security app that worked a few Firefox versions ago even after reinstalling it?

My financial institutions supply an app "Rapport" for extra security. I used it for several years until the latest versions of Firefox came out. When I looked for the app, it was nowhere to be found. I reinstalled the app but still not joy. Any suggestions as to why it isn't there and how to get it there?
