Security breach - keychain and device not de-registered

I recently was given an iPad 2
The problem is that the device is registered to someone else and the keychain is or looks to be part of someone else network. Is there a chance that this's iPad could be accessed remotely and all my data could be viewed?
I have the 3G Wi Fi version.
I could not get my 3G sim data card to work either. My Cellular provider said there is nothing wrong on the connection side, that it is something to do with the iPad 2

The thing is when I was given the iPad, what should have happened at the beginning was the de-registration of the iPad from that user by releasing the serial number with Apple so I could then re-register it with Apple. Then the removal of the iPad from that persons network and keychain list of devices, the amount of messages about keychain being released or not recognised was so concerning. The amount of messages I got about this iPad has been deactivated from find my iPad from my iPhone!
The really worrying concern is that I do not have an Apple iPhone. I feel like I have been given something, but now that I am complaining about my security concerns he now wants it back!
My real question is that say if that person intended to access my iPad, he could with keychain still being part of his network, surely?
I am so concerned that my privacy has bee invaded, my data captured. I wonder what Apple would do for me in this instance.

Have reset the ipad, but that changed nothing. I can not turn off Keychain, iit remains "pending approval". Probably, the only thing to do is to close my icloud account...which I hate to do since there is a lot of data saved there. But, I am unable to back the ipad up on my Windows 8 computer because itunes no longer opens when the ipad is attached.
Oh well...computers are computers and it is impossible to cover 100% of the situations.
Keychain iss not the best app for someone who lives in 3 different countries.

If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer 2 of your questions) then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.

When they've been reset you can then use the steps half-way down the page that you posted from to add a rescue email address for potential future use

You just need to reset the ipod by holding down the sleep button and home button for ipod touch or the menu and centre button on others for about 10 seconds

Impossible to delete POP accounts from iCloud keychain and SMTP not working

Hello,
After an aborted Mavericks clean install, I reverted to Mountain Lion via Time Machine and started experimenting with iCloud Keychain on Mavericks using trashable Virtual Machines.
I am hitting two serious problems with email accounts :
1. I turned on iCloud keychain ONLY on my Mavericks test installs (not on my iOS device)
2. First time I turned it on and used my usual AppleID, the test install retrieved all my email accounts (I have many of all types)
3. I could not make password SMTPS work on any IMAP accounts, so I decided to delete ALL email accounts from my iCloud Keychain
4. When you ask to delete an email account, it asks if you want to delete it from ALL your accounts, whoch is what I did (make a clean slate)
5. Of all the accounts I have, I have two old disabled POP3 accounts. I deleted them as every other one (including FB, Twitter, LinkedIN, Exchange, ...)
Every time I set up a new test install with iCloud keychain enabled, these two POP accounts continue to show up on the list.
Every time I delete them again from ALL keychains they disappear, but anytime I launch Mail they come back, and if I delete them again, and then I add a new email account they come back.
No way to delete them from ALL keychains
And BTW user/password SMTP on SSL for IMAP accounts does not work for me. It fails all the times on my postfix server.
So, my issues are :
- iCloud keychains seems unstable with email accounts (probably with POP accounts only)
- SMTP over SSL with user/password doesn't seem to work
Anybody hit the issue ? For me is a severe showstopper for Mavericks and iCloud keychains

Npw im a careful person with mobile never had issues before
Earlier on in the day after just getting my phone today on contract with carephone warehouse i decided to do a little water test and take pics underwater , now the first thing i did was test the pressure of the device by going in the service menu and when i did it with flaps totaly firmmly close the pressure , so i fought well there shouldnt be any problems if i put it in like 6 inches of water in clean no redisidue sink ,now i checked the flaps 6 times bettore putting in water ,now at first i was working fine taking the pics and that thne after 3 mins i pulled out then wiped it clean next thing i know the screen stop working and after the device wont come on proper ie no screen displaying ,now I bouught this because of the amazing battery life and camera now this isnt a cheap pone so it should hold up to what it says it can do , im very disappointed
I cant afford to have pay for \a new and its not my fault any help guys?

Slice and 'saving for web and devices' not saving all images in selected area

Ive designed my site in illustrator and now im using slices and save for web and devices.
When I save a slice as a jpeg or gif it saves the text and but not the background image behind it. I haven't locked the background image and all the content is on the same layer in illustrator so why is it doing this and how can I stop it?

Thanks for your reply. Yes, my Photoshop CS5 is updated to 12.1. I'm running OSX 10.5.8 and have tried viewing in Safari, Firefox, and Chrome with no improved success.
I have been reading these forums for about 3 hours trying to find the answer to this question but am still at a loss. I have found one article here:

Save for web and devices not selectable

Hi, I cant seem to select the "save for web and devices" option in the 64 bit version of photoshop CS5, but it works on the regular version, and I never use the regular version, all my preferences are on the 64 bit version and too many have been changed for me to be comfortable to start using it instead of the 64 bit one. Is there a fix for this to work again?

If Silkrooster's suggestions don't help after verifying the image mode you are using, you may try to restore your Photoshop preferences. See the video below for easy-to-follow instructions:
Julianne notes at the 5-minute mark that the second method she outlines will get rid of your color settings, keyboard shortcuts, workspace prefs, etc. This may affect the preferences you mentioned being accustomed to in your post, so please keep that in mind.

Patches and devices not always on the network

Hello, I have a question that for some reason I can't get sorted out in my mind.
How can I use SCCM to effectively patch devices such as laptops that are not always on the network. I am not talking patching through the Internet but I am talking about wanting those devices to patch with all past deployments when they connect to the
network. Specifically how do I configure the software available time, installation deadlines and maintenance windows. What is the accepted best practice out there to handle patching like this?
I am trying to fill the holes in our patching process and any help is appreciated.

How many of you computers are left on all night? I would suggest with even WS, it will not be many, due to power management settings.
If they are left on then you are wasting lots of $$s on power, AC cooling costs, life span of the computer, etc. and these cost will be surprisingly high.
The point being is that MW and deploying software or SU will always be at odds with each other.
The trick is to empower you users. You do this by give your users 3-5 days to install the SU when it is best for them and if they don’t do it, the SU get applied at the deadline
with enough advance notice that they can save their work before any reboot happen.
It is always a balance act but it is hard for users/management to complain, when user are given DAYS to install something and the user don’t do it in time. There are a million
different way to “sell” this to both management and users so they see the benefit in empowering users.

Improved user satisfaction

Role Base Security SSAS Tabular and PPS not working

Hi,
I am having SSAS (Tabular Model) with Role based Security. It is working fine with Powerview and PowerPivot.
But when i am using same with PPS. it is giving me error like 'Data source not accessible'.
If i don't Provide Role while connecting and if i select
unattended account, it is working but no security.
Please help me out on this situation or provide any steps with snapshot(if possible), how to make pps
working with SSAS Tabular model with Role.

No driver disk and device not found.

Hi,
Ive lost my driver disk and after a pc format im resinstalling my zen and its saying "setup cannot detect any portable device on your system" when i run the MTP application.
USB is detecting the device but the software can't. Found this solution

But this requires the driver exe which I don't have. Why isn't it availible for download? The only driver I can find is "Creative Zen and Jukebox Driver Upgrade" which doesn't seem to work.
It has to be said i commited the sin of connecting before I installed. I thought this thing was supposed to be plug and play and not require drivers but the device does appear as a yellow flagged item in device manager.
Can anyone help?

Sorry, In my haiste I forgot key info. Yes i am using a zen micro, my firmware 2.002e. Im using sp2 professional edition fully up to date. What should i be installing and in what order?
At the moment I run ZENM_PCAPP_LB__00__MTP.exe and when prompted I connect my player, I get the usb ding, and a dialog from windows wanting me to install the drivers. I cancel that as I don;t have any, and then i receive this message:
"Setup could not detect any portable device on your system.
Please ensure that your portable device is properly connected and switched on before running this setup program"
Ive tried connecting when it asks for it and also before I start the setup.
This was so easy last time.
Wish i hadn't lost my disk. Im a little disappointed as I thought that this player could plug and play with no drivers as long as you had wmp. It was part of the reason I bought it.

Ipad locked switch control "device not found"

I have an iPad that is locked. The message at the top says "switch control" and "device not found". Any idea how to access the ipad? It is not responding to the switch at all.

That sounds like there was an assistive device associated to the ipad at one time and is currently not connected.
Is there a small graybox with dark circle in it on the screen? If yes, Slect it, it will be the Assistive touch control.
again, this is a guess on my part.

Time capsule device not found

I have a recurring problem backup failed and device not found.
I have been on to apple told pull the plug on time capsule every time.
now i am told to go into network and take it of automatic and set it to 2.4 to channel 11 and the 5 to channel 44.
is this now limiting the time capsule to the 2 channels.
is this the best result for the time capsule or would i be better getting a non apple product.

just checked my Time Machine and its missed backups again.
I go into airport utility yet again its missing the time capsule.
I am sorry, but Yosemite is doing its thing.

Apple has to find something to blame, since they will never blame themselves.
have a program from the app store wifi checker.
running it looking at the wifi signal in my area I have 2 main accounts with 2 different BSSID the last letter different on each.
I also had for a bit 3 guest accounts 2 with the same BSSID and 1 different BSSID there is another wifi account not mine with the same BSSID as this 1.
This all sounds normal.
I am afraid that all you can do is wait for the next Yosemite update to see if it will fix some of these issues.
