Security code invalid/ but is not
Was able to get free apps since purchase of I-pad 2 until yesterday, I receive a message saying security code not valid and it is.
Unfortunately this does not seem to be a new problem. Once you have one card come up that way it seems it will keep coming up no-mater what card you use. There are a couple of work-arounds; first is to buy a iTunes gift card and apply it to your account (a little inconvenient but it works). The second and most popular is to access your account through iTunes on your PC/Mac and change your billing to a paypal account.
Some people have been able to change their billing back to a previously rejected card immediately after applying the changes above. But considering this is an ongoing issue with the App store and iTunes (earliest post about it dates back to the release of the iPod touch) I feel safer with them not having my CC info anyway.

How to change payment method or delete improper info.?
Try signing out of your account, Reset the iPad [Hold the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons down together for 10 seconds or so (until the Apple logo appears) and then release. When the screen goes blank then power ON again in the normal way.] It is absolutely safe..... And sign back in again!

Contact the card issuer and find out what the problem is.

Type in the three digit code from the back of your credit/debit card to update your payment method/information. I had the same "security code invalid" response today... this is all it wanted me to do.

Every time I go on my iTunes account via my iPhone or even my computer, I get notified that my security code is invalid. My account did this a while back, but I ignored it for a while and it eventually accepted my security code. It's not doing that now. It's been a week, I need to update my apps and want to be able to purchase whatever I want. It's extremely fruststing that it won't accept my actual card security code. Someone please help?

I am getting a security code invalid error everytime I try to download a app or update my current apps? I looked online and a few people are having the same issues anyone been able to get this resolved? It's not just on Iphones either it's on all apple devices. I've called Apple customer service. I've wrote a complaint online as well so far no good.

Launch iTunes on your computer.
From the iTunes menu bar click iTunes / Preferences then select the Advanced tab.
Click: Reset warnings and Reset cache
Click OK.
Restart your computer, launch iTunes, sign in. Make sure the security code is correct then click Done. -

I am at my wits end! Can't update any apps or download any apps. It kicks back everytime saying "Security code invalid", when in fact it's very much right and it hasn't been having a problem. Any ideas?

Is the address on your iTunes account exactly the same (format and spacing etc) as on your credit card bill : http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1646 ? If it is then you could try what it says at the bottom of that page :
If the issue persists, contact your credit card company and verify that they and any company they use to process credit card authorizations have the correct information on file.
And/or try contacting iTunes support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Express Lane, then iTunes > iTunes Store
