Security network layer snc error

HI All,
We are using Singlr-sign-on method logging to SAP systems.
I started getting "security network layer snc error" when i am opening second window.
I have deleted all the old SAP short cuts and also tried to logon to the SAP application via "Start -->Programs -->SAP Frontend -->SAP Logon".
Still I am getting the same error.
Please provide me any suggestion to avoid this.
Thanks in advance
Joginadham U

Hello,
The mentioned error: "Security Network layer (SNC) error" only tells that there is problem for SNC.
To obtain more  information on the error, you could create a trace as per SAP note  495911. SAP Note 150104 may be also useful.
Maybe in the Security forum you can find more assistance.

Désiré

  • Security Network Layer (SNC) error when creating new session

in SAPGUI 710, suddenly some users are getting a popup message ("Security Network Layer SNC error") when they use the Create New Session toolbar button.
SSO works fine when they connect from SAP Logon, its only when attempting to open secondary sessions.  Also, its only some users.
Where would I find log information resulting from the error?  Or any suggestions on steps to troubleshoot?
    Thanks!

    Hello Erik,
Issue actually belongs to BC-SEC-SNC, not SAPGUI.
The attached note advises how to run a trace to get more information about the issue
150104 collecting dev_trace of user session via SM04
If you recreate the issue again with the active trace, you might have more sucess with a reply.
Just to advise that 7.10 is out of support and 7.20 should be used as soon as possible.
    Kind Regards,

  • GSS API library required to set up a Secure Network Connection (SNC)

We are working in a project to connect Microsoft ILM to SAP CUA. The goal is to manage Identities in
    SAP CUA by Microsoft ILM.
The requirement is to make use of an encrypted network connection between the two systems.
Due to our investigation it looks like that we need to use a SNC (Secure Network Connection).
To set up a SNC we need a third party GSS API library. Before we can order this GSS API library we need to
test this in a test environment.
Our question if there  is a possibility that we can use a trial version of a GSS API library, to set up a test environment?
Is there another way to setup a SNC in a test environment?
We are looking for a GSS API Library?
If you need more information please contact me.

    Hi AndrZegers ,

  • When starting I get an error: "This operation cannot be completed because of an internal failure. A secure network communication has not been cleaned up correctly. "

Each time I start up Firefox 4.0b6 I am getting the following error message: "This operation cannot be completed because of an internal failure. A secure network communication has not been cleaned up correctly. ". I run Firefox 3.6 as my standard Firefox browser in paralell.

  • Error on start up - Internal failure - A secure network communication has not been cleaned up properly

when i start with firefox 4 beta 6 an error message pops up saying internal failure. A secure network communication has not been cleaned up properly. Please explain what does it mean and how can a secure network be established.

    That is [https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=588511 Bug 588511]
You should only get that alert once after you start the 4.0 beta version.<br />
Be sure to use a separate profile for that 4.0 beta version if you still use the regular 3.6.x version as well.
    See:

  • I'd a error message about a security network connection that has not been correctly cleaned up each time I open the browser

Every time I open the browser an error message pops up, it says:
"The operation can bot be completed because of an internal failure. A secure network communication has not been cleaned up correctly."
The main difference I saw is that my home page, a customize igoogle one that needs login, is redirected to the main igoogle page because login is not successful and I had to manually do it. Even if I state to remember me, it doesn't work once I close the browser.

This is a known bug that will be fixed in beta 7. You should only get that error message the first time after updating Firefox. If you are getting it all the time, are you switching between different versions of Firefox?
Do you still have an earlier version of Firefox installed, and if you do does it use the same profile as the beta version. If you do that can cause problems since Firefox 4 handles extensions in a different way than earlier versions of Firefox. If you do have 2 versions of Firefox installed, you need to use 2 different profiles.

Try another browser. If it is not going to work, use another computer. By the way, what is the model number of your router?

I keep getting a message that says "we cannot complete your iTunes store request.  Secure network connection was rejected.  There is a problem in iTunes.  Please try again later."  I never got this message on our PC, but recently bought a MacBook Pro and now I get this message.  I'm the only one using the computer.  I also get a similar message intermittently on my iPhone as well.  Anyone have any idea what would be causing this?  I tried syncing my phone with iTunes to see if that would do the trick, but the music didn't even transfer over to the macbook.  Any help would be appreciated.

iTunes match is a subscription that you have in when you were still in the UK. According to the terms & conditions you'll need to wait for the susbcription to end before you can change your country to iTunes Store USA.

  • Problem with unchecking secure sockets layer checkbox in outgoing SMTP server Apple Mail / Mountain Lion

After installing Mountain Lion my mail was converted and all my messages showed up, however, when I try to send I get an error. I have traced this error to the fact that Apple has automatically checked the box "Use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL)" in my Apple Mail preferences even though it wasn't checked before upgrading.  Now whenever I try to uncheck it it keeps filling itself back in.  I have tried to delete that outgoing server and readd it and it continues to check the box.

    Hi
I have a similar problem here i have work accounts which do not need the SSL ticked but when I uncheck the box and in a  few seconds the tick is back up again sometimes I have to click about 10 times or so for it to stay off. I tried to do your sollution it did not work on your suggested port but seemed to work on the 25 port . Also I found i only have the problem when I am at work were we are on a PC network and firewall. It seemed to work fine on a normal home line. Also it only happens on Mountain Lion I have a older macbook with snowleopard and there i have not problems sending messages
as right it was said Apple needs to look into that ASAP as it is very frustrating

  • Every time I try to log into ANY website that is secured, I get an error message "This connection is untrusted."

    The error message is:
    This Connection is Untrusted
You have asked Firefox to connect securely to www.facebook.com, but we can't confirm that your connection is secure.
Normally, when you try to connect securely, sites will present trusted identification to prove that you are going to the right place. However, this site's identity can't be verified.
    What Should I Do?
If you usually connect to this site without problems, this error could mean that someone is trying to impersonate the site, and you shouldn't continue.
www.facebook.com uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate is not trusted because no issuer chain was provided. (Error code: sec_error_unknown_issuer)
If you understand what's going on, you can tell Firefox to start trusting this site's identification. Even if you trust the site, this error could mean that someone is tampering with your connection.
Don't add an exception unless you know there's a good reason why this site doesn't use trusted identification.
Steps I have take so far:
Verified that system clock is correct
Cleared all cache, history, cookies, etc.; didn't help
Started Firefox in Safe Mode; didn't help
Disabled all Firefox extensions; didn't help
uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox using Control Panel; didn't help
Ran Microsoft Safety Scan for malware; nothing was found
    Other information:
This problem exists ONLY in my user profile and ONLY in Firefox. All 5 other users can run Firefox with no problem. I can run IE and Chrome with no problem.
Problem exists in ALL secured (https) sites.
I use Avast and Windows Firewall. Had never heard of ESET or BitDefender before searching these forums.
A lot of the sites don't give me the option to Make an Exception. The two that I tried to make exceptions for, still wouldn't open.
    Run Windows 7 64-bit

unfortunately the fiddler2 issuer in certificates might be a sign of unwanted software present on your pc that is intercepting secure network traffic. please go into the system control panel and uninstall programs like BrowserSafeguard, BrowserSafe, SafeGuard or other software that sounds suspicious and didn't get installed by you intentionally.

  • "Network host busy" error

Hi, everyone. I have trawled this discussion list and followed all the advice available to no avail. Any help would certainly be appreciated.
    The background is as follows:
MacBook Pro, 2.33GHz Intel Core 2 duo, 2GB RAM, currently running OSX 10.6.2. Software up to date. Previously on OSX 10.4.11 until 4 weeks ago. Printing to a networked HP 4100 with a fixed IP address in the office worked fine until last week, when a "Network host busy error, trying again in 30 seconds" error arose. Printing from the other workstations (iMacs on 10.6.2) on the network continues to proceed normally. Steps I have taken include deleting the HP4100 print queue and re-installing (several times) as IP>HPJetDirect socket to 192.168.1.100. Clearly the printer is online (it says so) and is identified as the correct printer driver is selected automatically (HP LaserJet 4100 series v 3010.107) and all the configurable options are correctly selected (trays 2,3 & 4, envelope feeder and duplex option) and toner supply levels are correctly read. Still get network host busy error. Rebooted the printer. No avail. Rebooted the router. No avail. Reinstalled HP printer drivers from here: http://support.apple.com/downloads/#printer%20drivers%20mac%20os%20x%20v10.6. No avail. Have also reset the printing system (losing all the other print queues in the process!) to no avail. Checked the printer setup on the iMacs that can print, and it is identical to that which I am attempting to install. Have I missed something? Anyone with any clues, please?

    Hi there,
If you have your HP printer queue configured exactly the same as other Mac's that are working fine, and with all the steps you have taken thus far, then I can only suggest that you either have a network issue or something blocking the path.
So first thing is to check that you are set to the same subnet as the other Mac's. This can be confirmed via the Network Utility under the Info pane. You may have to change the drop menu from Ethernet (en0) to Airport (en1) depending on what you use. Typically the first three sets of numbers of your IP address is your subnet, while the last number is your network address. So, based on the printers address of 192.168.1.100, your Mac should have a subnet of 192.168.1 and a network address other than 100.
If the IP address for your Mac is set to the same subnet as the HP then while Network Utility is still open, select the Ping tab, enter the IP address of 192.168.1.100, set the number of Pings to 4 and press the Ping button. You should get a response from the printer.
If you do get a response then it is safe to assume that the network setup on your Mac is okay. At this stage I would check that your Firewall is disabled (located in System Preferences > Security).
If the firewall is not enabled then my last suggestion is to create another printer queue to the HP, this time selecting IP > LPD for the protocol. Since HP wrote Socket then it is odd that it would not be working, but a network host busy would indicate that the Mac cannot either communicate with the IP address or the Port of the selected IP address. By changing the protocol from HP Socket to LPD you are basically setting the Mac to connect on port 515 instead of 9100.
Note that if the other Mac's show the print queue URL as "socket://192.168.1.100/" then they are using HP Jetdirect also so it would make no sense that your connection to the same port would fail. But it can't hurt trying an alternate protocol when you have tried everything else...
    HTH and reply if needed.

  • K210 will not connect to secured network

My Lenovo K210 system running Vista will not connect to a secured wireless network.  I added a Tenda, and Netgear USB wifi stick as well as a Rosewell PCI card (removing each before proceeding to the next element.).  It will see the secured network, and will allow for input of the PSK key, but it will not connect saying "Windows cannot connec tto <SSID>" with "Diagnose the problem" or "connect to another network".  Diagnose the problem results the same.  I end up connecting to an unsecured router I have set up on an old broadband connection.  The PCI adapter will handle WEP, WPA and WPA2.
Is there something that could be changed to allow for connection to a secured network?
    Thank you,
    WIlliam

It sees the network, there is no error message just showing the circular emblem and not the check next to the network.  I do not know about other networks since I am at home and just started this morning.  I can connect to my MacBook Pro with Bluetooth.

  • Windows 8.1 Network Share 0x8007003b Error Copying Files

    Hi All,
I'm having an issue when copying files from a Windows network share. If the file is above 5MB it will start copying and then after a minute or two I will get an error such as:
    Interrupted Action
An unexpected error is keeping you from copying the file. If you continue to receive this error, you can use the error code to search for help with this problem.
Error 0x8007003B: An unexpected network error occurred.
The network share is in a different office and is accessible over a point-to-point VPN, so the connection is not that fast.
But before everyone tells me to start diagnosing the router and or VPN please take note of the following:
My colleague who is running Windows 7 can copy files from the network share fine
If I run a Windows 7 VM on my Windows 8.1 laptop I can copy the files across fine
I also know it isn't an issue with this particular file share. I set up a little lab, where I had one VM which had a shared folder and 2 other client VMs one running Windows 7 and one running Windows 8.1. I limited the bandwidth to the two client
VMs to a similar speed we see across our VPN. The result was that the Windows 8.1 failed with the same error above, whereas the Windows 7 copied fine.
There is also a noticeable difference visually when copying using Windows 8.1 and Windows 7:
Windows 7 - The progress bar progresses smoothly giving the current speed and estimated time remaining
Windows 8.1 - The progress bar progresses in a jumpy fashion. E.g. it shows no progress, then after a minute it jumps and shows 16% progress, then shows no further progress, then jumps by another 18%. There is no estimated time remaining.
I ran Wireshark to investigate what was going on at the network layer. I see the following behaviour:
Windows 8.1 - The file is copying fine then all of a sudden there are a lot of TCP dupack packets. After which the Windows 8.1 client sends a RST packet and then the error pops up.
Windows 7 - The file is copying fine then you also see a load of TCP dupack packets, however no error is displayed and it continues copying fine.
I'd appreciate any help with this I'm hoping there are some settings I can change to make Windows 8.1 behave more like Windows 7!
FYI originally posed here (but was advised to ask on Technet) - https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows8_1-files/windows-81-network-share-0x8007003b-error-copying/300bc9a4-597b-402a-b885-9dd6f6fb51a2

    To answer your original questions.
Do you mean the file below 5 MB will copy fine ?
5MB is not a hard limit. If the file is small enough it will copy before it errors out. A file of around 5MB or so fails with an error.
Have you tried to copy the files from another Windows 8.1 machine (This will help us to verify whether the issue is casued by the specific machine)?Have you tried to copy another file from the network share to have a check ?
Yes I've tried from another Windows 8.1 machine and have the same behaviour. It is the same with different files from the network share. And the same with different network shares.
I am seeing nothing in the event viewer when the error occurs. I do not believe this to be a VPN issue because I can recreate this situation perfectly. As I mentioned in the original post- I
also know it isn't an issue with this particular file share. I set up a little lab, where I had one VM which had a shared folder and 2 other client VMs one running Windows 7 and one running Windows 8.1. I limited the bandwidth to the two client VMs to a similar
speed we see across our VPN. The result was that the Windows 8.1 failed with the same error above, whereas the Windows 7 copied fine.
Basically, I had virtual machines all on the same local network. One virtual machine was hosting a file share with files on it. I created one Windows 7 VM and one Windows 8.1 VM. Using VMWare Workstation you can limit the network bandwidth to the VMs. When
I did not limit the network bandwidth I could copy all files of all sizes fine. However, when I limit the network bandwidth to a speed of around 30-50KBps, the Windows 8.1 VM fails to copy files with the same error. But Windows 7 VM copies the files fine.
The point of limiting the bandwidth in this way is to create a similar scenario to that I see when connecting over the VPN.
This all leads me to believe there is some sort of issue with copying files from fileshares over slow connections using Windows 8.1.
    Cheers,
    Zak

Did you use the developers uninstaller to ensure you fully eradicated it from your system. Trusteer's Rapport has a bad reputation on here for mucking things up. Here's a quick search of just these forums:
