Security on Nokia 6730 Classic

Hello,
I have a Nokia 6730C and every time i want to start an external software for GPS (the software is instamapper, is a free software to control the possition of the mobile by web) the question is, There is any option to eliminate the warning from the mobile in order to allow to connect automaticly?
This is the warning I see every time I want to connect.
"Allow application to use Positioning data?" "just once" "allowed in this session"

Thank you for your reply. My Nokia firmware is the latest version. It won't switch off when freeze in streaming video at YouTube, even I hold the end call for more than 1 minute. So, I should release its battery to switch off my Nokia. If I stream video at YouTube, in some minutes later, my Nokia will freeze anymore. It always like this. If I want to stream video at YouTube, I just stream for 1 or 2 minutes or more, than I close It, exit from YouTube. If other Nokia with Symbian ^3 for example, still like this, I probably change to Swedia-Japan vendor mobile phone.

Take back-up of your data and try a Factory reset..
Menu-->Settings-->General-->Factory settings..followed by 12345 ( Default code) when asked.. If you have set your own code..use that instead..

Help me with my Nokia 6730 classic! screen problem

i just bought a nokia 6730c today..but whenever i try to surf the net or go online on ebuddy.. it auto shuts down..first the screen fades to black..then it shuts down..then i cant turn it on again for a few minutes..help me! =(

Try updating your software buddy
If that doesn't fix the problem, take it straight back from where you bought it, demonstrate the problem, then hopefully they should give you a swap phone.

Internet problems with Nokia 2730 classic

I recently bought a Nokia 2730 classic (on Orange PAYG). I'm able to browse most websites using the phone's browser. However, when I attempt to access Gmail, I get the following error: Secure connection not available. I get a similar error when trying to set up my email in the 'messages' section. I also get this error when I try to log in to Twitter - the common factor seems to be that they are https pages.
I'm also unable to use the Nokia Ovi store. Whenever I try to download anything, it will reach 35% before saying Download/Install Failed. I'm guessing that the two problems are related.
Does anyone know how I might be able to resolve either of these problems? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

ovi store uses prefered access point wether you set it to be used or not.
Some operator have different access point for different purpose. Eg, prepaid customer have different access point and post paid customer have thier own too. And if you have unlimited data plan your sim may use different access point too.
One of my freind is using same model. When settings are configured mannually, network doesn't allow connection. Preferred access point which operator has sent, was meant for postpaid customer with data plan but my freind is using prepaid sim. So the problem is setting or ovi which is not smart enough to use defualt configuration, it tries to use preferred access point even it is set to 'no'
Better contact SP wether they can sent preferred access point for your need

I can't find this option anywhere. I want the phone to ask the phone unlock pin(~4 digits) when i first turn on the phone.
If you go into the phone settings, then security, you have various ways of locking the phone either by locking the sim card or the phone.
3. Video Recording.
Screen goes very dark during video recording sometimes, would new firmware fix this? i have Software version: 03.23, Software version date: 27-Jun-2008.
Also is it possible to disable the red light during video recording?
Not sure about the first part, but you cannot disable the lamp it is to let people know they are being recorded I think
4. GPS, i'm on prepaid, is it possible to get free GPS service? if not which prepaid network would be cheapest for using GPS?
Nokia maps is very good, so long as you download the mapping download software first from Ovi.com to load them to the phone. It only costs about £50.00 (not sure) for the voice prompts as well.

Nokia 6500 Classic Help Needed!

Helo i have a Nokia 6500 Classic and i want to do a hard reset, it's also called factory settings.
I'm not sure if the code to reset the phone to the factory settings has been edited.
But i have tried 12345 and the phone says the code is wrong.
So anyone who has an idea, or know how to force a reset to the factory settings?

First thing is to make the Basics right... Hard Reset and Factory resets are two totally different things..Your Phone being an S40, you can not perform the Hard Reset.. As for Factory reset.. Go to Menu-->settings -->Restore Factory settings..and the Security code when prompted.. As you have mentioned the default code is 12345 unless changed by you...and if you have forgotten that then the ONLY way to get it reset to the default is thru' Nokia Care. Ownership proof (Bill / Invoice) may be asked if you decide to get it done...

Hard reset Nokia 3120 Classic

I have an old Nokia 3120 classic phone which I would like to use as my spare device however when I turn on this device it asks me for a security code, which I didnt set at all. Is there any other way to hard reset this device (other than going to the Service Centre, for which they would be charging exorbitant amounts anyway).

Nokia 2600 Classic Latest Software Version

Hi,
I have Nokia 2600 Classic. It is RM-340 and the version is 6.82.
I have heard that there is a latest version, i.e, 7.60.
So, what's new in 7.60?
And, the current version that i have (v6.82) doesn't show time in main screen with keypad locked (with security key) and is in silent with a new message (Having a bigger display than Nokia 6030 or Nokia 2626, Nokia 2600 classic can display the other icons in the next line). And, the calender tone is default set to ascending. Are these any bugs?
And, i want all the Indian Languages to be retained in the new version (v7.60).

I notice they fix the screensaver bug. Now when you choose "always" option, the screensaver realy stays always!

Nokia 6303 Classic - "Error in Connection"

Hi,
I am using Nokia 6303 classic mobile which I brought it in March 2010, Always I am getting the following error "Error in connection", I need to switch off and switch on again to call back or to receive the calls, its totally irretating me sometimes.
When I keep the phone @ my room for some time idle thats it, when i try to call at this time I will be getting "Error in connection". I belived so much in Nokia and now I am feed up with this. Can any one help on this.

How can I get the IMEI of my nokia 3120 Classic serie40 5th edition Feature pack 1 with J2ME?
I've just tried with:

but the result is "null" for each getProperty.
However, I'm tryng something that identify my cell-phone...
I've a MIDlet but i want to do something like a licence or a serial number to activate it.

Nokia 3120 classic blutooth modem problem

Hi,.
I have a Nokia 3120 classic, on my PC I have Nokia PC Suite and a bluetooth dongle. Now when I connect my phone & PC via bluetooth everything is great, I can sync with my PC, transfer files, update contacts & messages, even send & receive SMS via PC. But I cannot connect to the internet. When I try to it says it is searching for bluetooth modems but none are found. If I connect my phone to the PC via USB cable, no problem, I get connected in seconds.

Nokia 6730 Light Sensor

This week I've taken delivery of a Nokia 6730, replacing a Nokia 6500 Classic.
Whilst I'm very happy with the phone overall, I'm bitterly disappointed with the light sensor feature.
I'm finding that even when the ambient light level has dropped to a point where reading the keypad is becoming extremely difficult, it still does not become illuminated.
For keypad illumination to occur, the phone has to be in almost total darkness!
I'm aware that there has been another posting on this subject, but cannot believe this is how the phone should operate.
I'd appreciate hearing of anyone else with similar experience and any advice on what to do next.

Given that the 6730 is a new phone and that the keypad illumination issue may become more apparent as the number of users increases, is there some recognised route to report it to Nokia and/or Vodafone? In my own case, now having the Black 6730, I've decided that the problem appears even worse because the keypad lettering of my previous Black 6500 Classic seems much more visible and readable, even in low light. Being a newcomer here, I was wondering how realistic it is to anticipate that Nokia will recognise this limitation and eventually issue a firmware update, increasing the light level at which keypad illumination occurs?

6730 Classic not starting up

I have a 6730 Classic that doesn't start up..
When I insert the battery the flash-led from the camera turns on and stays like that and when I push the power button the phone vibrates but nothing more happens.
Any ideas what the problem could be?

Try hard reset
hold the following buttons * (star key), 3 (number button) and talk/green key. turn on the phone and do not release those buttons until you see the Nokia boot up screen.

6730 Classic -Add a language

Hi!
My phone is the 6730 classic, I love it very much, except that the only languages available on the phone are English and Portugese. When I receive txt msg of another language, it comes up as squares. How do I add other languages to this phone so that I can type and read other languages? (such as Chinese simplified)

Language packs and input methods cannot be installed by the end-user. You will have to take your phone into a Nokia Care Point and ask them what they can do.

Problem with Nokia 2730 classic

I have problem with my Nokia 2730 Classic such as:
- Can't open Browser (can only use Web service like Facebook) & the download & messenger application in phone are corrupted.
- I can't use Music Player... every time i open song or video,it's shown that " Not Enough Memory"
- Messaging can't open just got a blank & still Error unless turn off & restart phone.
When i got this issue, i also tried to Restore factory & Restore All in setting function several times,but it just solved the Messaging to work normally & the others still got the problem.
I also try to update firmware from v8.xx (not remember) to V10.40 RM-578 but nothing better..
I really need help as soon as possible.

you need to empty the phones memory delete unwanted items such as images and text also clear up your message folders
