Security question emails not coming through

I don't remember the answers to my security questions. I asked for an email to enable me to change my answers, but I'm not receiving any emails. How long do Apple support emails take to come through?

  • Email not coming through!

    So I just got a new Pearl 8130 from VZW last Saturday and for the majority of the time I've had the phone... my emails aren't coming through! I've got three accounts set up on it: 1 - a work account which I need to make sure I have my Outlook at work set to leave a copy of the message on the server after it downloads it locally to my computer. 2 - Gmail account #1 which I have going to my outlook on my personal computer at home. And 3 - Gmail account #2 which I only check through the internet.
    I should be getting an email on my third account everytime someone posts to a thread I've subscribed to on HoFo... which is often enough for me to know that it's not being sent through to my BB.
    Any advice? Interestingly enough, I'm able to send emails from my BB and they are recieved just fine, however I cannot seem to retrieve them.

    I hadn't done your #1 option until now. Technically, what does that do for me? Shouldn't it have been registered already?!
    I had removed all my email accounts and re-added them. That seemed to work for about 12 hours yesterday morning. Since around noon or so yesterday I haven't been able to receive any emails.
    What are service books? I noticed that in the "advanced options" too. They remove themselves when I delete one of my email addresses. And then re-add themselves when I register that email address again.

    My emails are set up to push through 'hourly'  but they aren't coming through.  It works for a while then they suddenly stop coming through and I have to push them manually.  Any ideas?

    You're  using the term "push" incorrectly when you appear to mean "fetch."
    Push means the mail is automatically "pushed" to your device as soon as it arrives to the mail server, not on any time schedual.  Which are you using, push or fetch?  Which mail service?

    For some time now I have had the frequent problem of messages not showing up in the "sent messages" box. It's irritating not to be able to have a copy of all the emails I send, but I can live with it.
    For the past couple of weeks however, I've noticed that some of my emails are not being delivered (even if they appear in the "sent messages" box!!) and I also don't receive all the emails people send to me.
    I've already lost two contracts this way in the past weeks (and am getting very paranoid whenever I send an email or wait for an answer. )
    It's getting to be a big problem.
    Anyone have an explanation ? Or better still a solution ?
    I'd really like to keep my mac.com email address (there seems not to be a problem with my gmail.com address via mac mail).
    I'm on a macbook pro OSX 10.8.5 & mail via iCloud

    Me too, driving me nuts.  My husband is receiving emails that I am copied on, he gets them and I don't but we are both icloud.  Other emails haven't landed in my inbox either but to see actual proof of it really stinks.  My income relies on my email working... not good at all.

    I've changed the dns to point to BC from my old host and now emails are sending but not receiving.
    I tried to input email details to BC but it said I had to do this from the host of my email account. I have been to the account but can't see how to transfer the email account to BC.

    You need to revert the DNS changes you made to your nameserver.  Call up your domain registrar where you made the changes and ask them if they can change it back for you.
    Then, depending on which datacenter your site is on for BC, (US, Europe, etc.) you need to add an A record for your base domain name pointing to an IP Address:
    Europe
    54.246.209.120
    or
    54.246.209.119
    United States
    54.236.190.114
    or
    54.236.189.64
    Australia
    54.252.148.183
    or
    54.252.148.191
    After you setup an A record for your base domain "no www", and the "www" record.
    The problem with what you did is you had email hosted at your old web host so when you changed nameservers to BC, BC is now handling routing all your traffic for your domain.  But, if you revert your nameservers to what you had before those nameservers will control your traffic (and your email) and you can just update the DNS record to point them to BC for just your www and non-www domain records.  Your MX records control your email routing and those would still be as you had them setup before.

        1.    Start here (change country if necessary) and navigate to 'Password and Security', reset your security questions using the link provided, you will receive an email to your rescue address, use the link in the email and reset your security questions.
        2.    If that doesn't help, you don't receive a reset email or you don't have a rescue address, you should contact AppleCare who will initially try to assist you with a reset email or if unsuccessful will pass you to the security team to reset your security questions for you.
        3.    If you are in a region that doesn't have international telephone support try contacting Apple through iTunes Store Support.

    If you still have access to your old email address, go to https//appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your iCloud ID.  Tap edit next to the primary email account, tap Edit, change it back to your old email account and verify it.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back to https//appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was.  You can now go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your correct iCloud ID and password.
    If you don't have access to your old email address, you will have to contact Apple to have them reset the password so you can disable Find My iPhone and sign into your iCloud account.  You can either go to https://expresslane.apple.com, select "More Products and Services", then "Apple ID", then  on the next page select "Other Apple ID Topics", then "Lost or forgotten Apple ID password" and click "Continue"; or you can contact Apple Support (http://www.apple.com/support/icloud/contact/).

    You might be able to re-enable your account via this page : http://appleid.apple.com, then 'reset your password'
    You might then need to log out of your account on your phone by tapping on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and then log back in so as to 'refresh' the account on it
    For your security questions, if you don't have a rescue email address, or you don't have access to the email account, then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.
    Contacting Apple about account security : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5699 - you can also try this link to get your account re-enabled if the above doesn't work.
    When they've been reset you can then use the steps half-way down this page to update/add a rescue email address for potential future use : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5312
