Security question feature required for password reset

Hi,
When ever SAP user forgets his password and he wants to reset his password, We need an option in logon screen to request the user to enter the answer for the security question and when he enters the correct answer, his ID should get reset and a new password should be mailed to his email id.
Appreciate your Ideas on this one.

Wild solution...
1) Create a New User ID, which will be used for Just resetting the password based on the security question. This ID will have a password which everybody will know.
This ID will have only few authorizations.
2) Create a Custom Program which will take the User ID and the Question. Also some way of storing the Answer in some table (encrypted).
Based on the ID, the question of the user will be displayed. Based on the Input by the user, the answer will be checked.
3) If the answer is correct, reset the password and send a mail to the user id of the user. (Solution for resetting the password needs some analysis) The custom table will store user id, question, answer and the email id to which the email has to be sent.

I want to reset my apple password, but I cant remember the security question's answer. I don't see the link to send a reset email, which means I don't have a rescue address, how can I reset the security questions?

Icloud is synched to the wrong apple ID and the password was unknown to me, after answering the security questions I was able to reset it. Now when I try to login on my ipad to delete the icloud associated to that apple ID it keeps telling me its wrong?

It sounds like the new iPad, had a previous owner. If you don't recognize the email for the Apple ID on your iPad, then it was registered to another person.
If it was, you can't use it and should return it.

Another user had success doing the following:
I got some help from an apple assistant on the phone. It is kind of round about way to get in.
Here is what he said to do and it is working for me...
a. on the device that is asking you for the security questions go to "settings", > "store" >
      tap the Apple ID and choose view"Apple ID" and sign in.
b. Tap on payment information and add a credit/debit card of your preference then select
      "done", in the upper right corner
c. sign out and back into iTunes on the device by going to "settings"> "store" > tap the
      Apple ID and choose "sign-out" > Tap "sign -in" > "use existing Apple ID" and you
      should be asked to verify your security code for the credit /debit card and NOT the
      security questions.
d. At this time you can remove the card by going back in to edit the payment info and
      selecting "none" as the card type then saving the changes by selecting "done". You
      should now be able to use your iTunes store credit without answering the security
      questions.
It's working for me ...I just have to put in my 3 digit security pin from the credit card I am using.

Even if I'm not despertate, creating a new Id is good Idia. But I think I must create another email address also since I can't use the first email adress as an apple id for the new one. That means I should check everyday the new email address also, that is making life complex. Better to try the 1st solution. Thank you very much.

We are using OID to handle our user database. One of the problems we are having is that the forgot password feature through the Oracle Identity Management Provisioning Console doesn't really enforce required fields for password reset. I currently have the orclpasswordhint and orclpasswordhintanswer attributes with the following settings: required, viewable, self-editable, and Password Reset Validation. The problem is that if someone has never set their password hint and answer, it will not ask for them on password reset and will just ask for their email address. While we could probably control this from within the application hooking into OID, we want to be able to force the user to enter this data or be unable to use the console to reset their password.

Hello Yousef. You need to contact support You can only change your questions/answers if you know the previous ones.
Here's how I contatced them and got my issue reslved:

All Products and Services > iTunes > iTunes Store > Account Management > iTunes Store account security
Answer the questions and if required sign in with your Apple ID and password - same one you used to log in on this support forum.
You will find an option to send an email to Apple on that page. Indicate that you forgot the answers to your security questions and wait for iTunes support to reply.

After owning an iPad 2 for about 7 months, I purchased an iPad 3rd gen. I tried to purchase an app (PDF Highlighter) and upon doing so I was promoter to answer two security questions "since this is my first purchase on this device." In addition to this issue, I went into my setting and entered my debit card information in another attempt to purchase the app. Upon doing so I was prompted to verify my payment info. The prompt asked me to enter my security code. I entered the correct code and it comes up invalid. I have tried going into setting and verifying my payment info through there as well, it also says my security code is invalid. How can I fix this issue? If you have a rescue email address set up on your account then you can try going to https://appleid.apple.com/ and click 'Manage your Apple ID' on the right-hand side of that page and log into your account. Then click on 'Password and Security' on the left-hand side of that page and on the right-hand side you might see an option to send security question reset info to your rescue email address.
If you don't have a rescue email address set up then go to Express Lane and select 'iTunes' from the list of 'products' in the middle of the screen.
Then select 'iTunes Store', and on the next screen select 'Account Management'
Next choose 'iTunes Store Account Questions' or 'iTunes Store account security' (it appears to vary by country) and fill in that you'd like your security questions/answers reset.
You should get an email reply within about 24 hours (and check your Spam folder as well as your Inbox)

I do not remember the security questions...they look different. I can't change them either...I tried what they said to do, change your password and it'll ask for new questions, but it did not do that. Does anyone know how to change the security questions??

Welcome to the Apple Community.
Contact Apple through iTunes Store Support, and explain that you have forgotten your 3 security questions, that you can reset your password, but doing so doesn't reset your security questions.
Explain that after resetting your password, you are still asked for the answers you have forgotten, before you can gain access to My Apple ID > Manage your account > Password & security, which is where you need to be to change your answers.
Remember, support will receive hundreds, if not thousands of requests per day, some from people trying it on, others with little explanation and others that are written extremely poorly. Take the time to explain your situation properly, be precise and concise, brief but comprehensive.
