Security questions never set up

Hi, I'm trying to buy songs with my apple ID in App Store and I can't because the system ask me security questions that I never set up.
I consulted apple support and they mention a recovery email that I never set up as well...
Just to clarify, I don't have problems with my apple ID or password.
How can i solve this issue?
Regards,
Ney Paz.

If you log into your account via http://appleid.apple.com are you able to select and questions and set their answers : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5312 ?
If not, then as you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer 2 of your questions) then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.
Contacting Apple about account security : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5699
When they've been reset you can then use the steps half-way down this page to add a rescue email address for potential future use : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5312

    I see there is no way to change the security questions i set up when I first purchased my ipod touch. All the answers I get do not work. Can't by another device until I get around this issue.

    Or you can email iTunes Support at iTunes Store Support.
    If all else fails:
      1. Go to: Apple Express Lane;
      2. Under Product Categories choose iTunes;
      3. Then choose iTunes Store;
      4. Then choose Account Management;
      5. Now choose iTunes Store Security and answer the bullet questions, then click
          Continue;
      6. Sign in with your Apple ID and press Continue;
      7. Under Contact Options fill out the information and advise iTunes that you would
          like your security/challenge questions reset;
      8. Click Send/Continue.
    You should get a response within 24 hours by email.
    In the event you are unsuccessful then contact AppleCare - Contacting Apple for support and service.
    Another user had success doing the following:
    I got some help from an apple assistant on the phone. It is kind of round about way to get in.
    Here is what he said to do and it is working for me...
      a. on the device that is asking you for the security questions go to "settings", > "store" >
          tap the Apple ID and choose view"Apple ID" and sign in.
      b. Tap on payment information and add a credit/debit card of your preference then select
          "done", in the upper right corner
      c. sign out and back into iTunes on the device by going to "settings"> "store" > tap the
          Apple ID and choose "sign-out" > Tap "sign -in" > "use existing Apple ID" and you
          should be asked to verify your security code for the credit /debit card and NOT the
          security questions.
      d. At this time you can remove the card by going back in to edit the payment info and
          selecting "none" as the card type then saving the changes by selecting "done". You
          should now be able to use your iTunes store credit without answering the security
          questions.
    It's working for me ...I just have to put in my 3 digit security pin from the credit card I am using.
    Good Luck friends!

  • HT5312 How do I reset my security questions and set up a rescue email?

    When I go to reset my security questions, I don't get the option to send an email to my 'rescue email' or to even set up a rescue email and on the apple support page it says I should have that option.

    The page says that you will get the reset option if you have rescue email address on your account, if you don't have one then you will need to contact Support in your country to get the questions reset.

  • HT5312 I forgot answers of the security questions i set on my account. How can I reset the Q & A?

    Please help

    If you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account then you can try going to https://appleid.apple.com/ and click 'Manage your Apple ID' on the right-hand side of that page and log into your account. Then click on 'Password and Security' on the left-hand side of that page and on the right-hand side you might see an option to send security question reset info to your rescue email address.
    If you don't have a rescue email address then see if the instructions on this user tip helps : https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-4551

  • HT5312 can't remember being asked  security questions when setting up my account, how do i get back into my account because I want to but music

    where do i find a resue email address form because i cant remember security questions

    You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, clicking here and picking a method for your country, and filling out and submitting this form.
    They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

  • Security Question Password Re-Set

    Hi we are going through the process of enabling users to change there own password, this is to fall in line with a change in UME source to AD, so we don't have to e-mail hundreds of users with new passwords, we are collecting all the information now enabling the security question so when it comes to switch over they can just answer there pre defined question and set there own password.
    So we are not going into this blind and our service desk have an idea of how many calls they may get or so we can find out if no one has filled in the information
    We would like to know how many people have filled this information in, is there any way to find out which users or even just how many users have configured there security question???
    Any help is greatly appreciated

    I haven't spent the time to implement one. Your DBA should be able to write the SQL query, all he/she needs to know is that the relevant table is UME_STRINGS of the portal database schema <SID>. The query could first query all distinct users (column PID) where one of the security questions is set (eg. NAMESP = com.sap.security.core.usermanagement, ATTR = securityquestionpredefined, VAL = SECURITY_QUESTION_%). Security questions defined by the user can be queried by using ATTR = securityquestion.

  • Apple ID - Security Questions and Rescue E-mail

    I have  aproblem that no-one can help me with - how's that for a challenge

    So how do I fix this.
    I basically eithe rneed ot get the rescue e-mail changed or overirde the security questions asked.
    Can anyone explain how to go about thsi isn simple steps?

    Hi Palmerc,
    I have the same problem for my new Ipad. Forgot my security questions' answers  set up at the store and never receive the rescue email despite many attempts. My rescue email is my office email so maybe got block or deleted by the firewall (checked but not in my junk mail folder).  I am based in Asia but stupidly signed up for the Apple Care US package. I qualify for Apple Support but they need a US number.  Amazingly can't even find an email address to send to Apple Care  Frustrating..  appreciate if you can share should you find a solution. • HT5312 I cannot use my apple id because every time I get into my account with the correct password, it prompts me for security questions which I've forgotten my answers.  It does not let me  reset my security questions even using a rescue email.  Help!!!

    I feel like I'm in an infinite loop.  I have all of the information correct except my security questions -- I set them up quickly and forgot what I answered.  Per the FAQs on Apple's website, I should be able to get a rescue email that allows me to reset the answers to the questions, however all I get is a rescue email to reset my password.  This is my first time trying to use this account and I can't get around the security questions.  Can anyone help me?  I just want to download some music to my mini iPad.

    Click here, phone them, and ask for the Account Security team, or fill out and submit this form.

  • Password, Security question and Recovery email forgotten

    Hello,
    My niece has iPod Touch and I helped set up the IPOD and after a while she forgot her passcode and after several trials locked the iPod. I used iTunes to erase all the data but to set it back it requires the apple ID used during set up but I forgot everything about it.The only thing I remember is the Apple and Nothing else

    Hey muduus,
    Thanks for the question. If you are having issues with the security questions associated with your Apple ID, follow these steps:
    If you forgot the answers to your Apple ID security questions
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT6170
    Reset your security questions
    1. Go to My Apple ID (appleid.apple.com).
    2. Select “Manage your Apple ID” and sign in.
    3. Select “Password and Security” on the left side of the page.
    4. If you have only one security question, you can change the question and answer now.
    5. If you have more than one security question:
              - Select “Send reset security info email to [your rescue email address].” If you don't see this link or don't have access to your rescue address, contact Apple Support as described in the next section.
              - Your rescue address will receive a reset email from Apple. Follow its instructions to reset your security questions and set up new questions and answers.Didn't receive the email?
    After resetting your security questions, consider turning on two-step verification. With two-step verification, you don't need security questions to secure your account or verify your identity.
    If you can't reset your security questions
    Contact Apple Support in either of these circumstances:
              - You don't see the link to send a reset email, which means you don't have arescue address.
              - You see the link to send a reset email, but you don't have access to email at the rescue address.
    A temporary support PIN isn't usually required, but Apple may ask you to generate a PIN if your identity needs to be verified.
    Thanks,
    Matt M.
