Security questions prevent me from downloading apps on my ipad. how do I fix this?

When I try to download apps to my iPad a prompt to "increase Apple id security" by choosing and providing answers to 3 security questions pops up. If I choose to dismiss the prompt the download process stops. If I choose to follow the prompt the process hangs after I hit the "done" button. How do I remedy this? I have tried doing a factory reset of my device and that hasn't worked. Thanks for your input...

Where are you resetting the password? On your computer, I assume since you cannot use the iPad?
Have you tried a reset to see if the popup will disappear?
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the button

Just delete it from the Applications folder, and re-download it.
If it still says installed when you go to Purchased in App Store, click somewhere else, and option-click Purchased. That allows you to redownload already installed software.

The try the standar fixes:
- Reset. Nothing will be lost.
Reset iPod touch: Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

If you lose sounds for keyboard clicks, games or other apps, email notifications and other notifications, system sounds have been muted.
System sounds can be muted and controlled two different ways. The screen lock rotation can be controlled in the same manner as well.
Settings>General>Use Side Switch to: Mute System sounds. If this option is selected, the switch on the side of the iPad above the volume rocker will mute system sounds.
If you choose Lock Screen Rotation, then the switch locks the screen. If the screen is locked, you will see a lock icon in the upper right corner next to the battery indicator gauge.
If you have the side switch set to lock screen rotation then the system sound control is in the task bar. Double tap the home button and in the task bar at the bottom, swipe all the way to the right. The speaker icon is all the way to the left. Tap on it and system sounds will return.
If you have the side switch set to mute system sounds, then the screen lock rotation can be accessed via the task bar in the same manner as described above.

Try updating your QuickTime to the most recent version. Does that clear up the DEP errors in iTunes?

Glad you found the answer. But something seems wrong. FCP should be able to assign the scratch disk to your startup drive. It's not advisable, but it should be possible. You might want to try and figure out what's going on before what ever's going on cause other problems.

Assuming that you've got the relevant iOS version on the iPad, then you can change it from a 15 minute period during which it doesn't need to be re-entered to immediately via Settings > General > Restrictions > Require Password

I would recommend both running an up to date virus scanner and then a separate malware scanner (I use www.malwarebytes.org). Once all items have been cleaned, please make sure you download Flash Player from only an official adobe.com website (such as http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer).
