Security reads differently on mobile to desktop versions

We produce a number of PDFs with content security settings (password-protected). These settings allow commenting using Acrobat's Annotation and Markup tools. However, the mobile versions of Acrobat do not honor this allowance—attempting to bring up the Comment tool in iOS or Android versions of Acrobat results in a message: "Restricted Document | This tool is not accessible due to the document's security settings." No problem on Windows, Mac software. Is there any way to resolve this?

Just realized this is a years-old unresolved issue: Annotating a protected PDF with comments allowed - how?
I guess since the mobile apps just experienced a major update and the problem still exists, we're not going to really see a solution any time soon. If anyone can tell me otherwise I'd sure like to hear it.

Most YouTube content requires the Flash plugin. Sometimes it's necessary to uninstall then reinstall that plugin.
Uninstall the Flash plugin then reinstall new > Troubleshoot Flash Player | Mac OS
Very important to uninstall the currently installed plugin first.
Now launch Safari and try a video.
If you have the ClickToFlash extension installed, that can prevent Flash based video from streaming. It can also be installed as a plugin in /Library/Internet-Plug-Ins.
And check to see if Safari is running in 32 bit mode. Right or control click the Safari icon in your Applications folder then click Get Info. If the box next to: Open in 32 bit mode is selected, deselect, quit then relaunch Safari.
You may also need to delete the cache associated with Safari .
Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy/paste: ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari
Click Go the move the Cache.db file from the com.apple.Safari folder to the Trash.
Quit and relaunch Safari. Try a video.

Lenovo Mobile Assistant desktop version

I just purchased a Lenovo A680 smartphone and it has the Lenovo Mobile Assistant installed in it. When I tried using it, it says that I need to download and install the desktop version first on my PC. I tried searching support.lenovo.com, the whole lenovo.com site and Google but I can't find where to get the desktop version.

try to sign out in both devices, then sign in again after a couple of minutes (not simply closing the apps then running it again). If that still doesn't work, try to get in touch with customer support for more help;

Desktop version looks different

Hi,
Something really odd happened and it happened on the desktop version only (mobile and tablet are fine).
In this example:

the green color from the notepad (in HOME and in CONTACT) used to be able to blend perfectly with the browser fill color. However, it no longer blend anymore. As far as I am concern, nothing had changed. Another strange thing is that when I preview it, it blends perfectly.
Any pointers appreciated.
UPDATE:
I tried loading the website on 2 different macs running mountain lions with Firefox, Chrome and Safari and they both look incorrect (example: see attached file). However, running it on a mac running Marvick and windows laptop look ok.

I tested it on 2 macs running: macos 10.8.4 running chrome: version 33.0.1750.15; firefox 27.0.1; safari version 6.0.5
I am suspecting that this only happens to 10.8.4? I tried it on machines that's running windows and macos 10.6.x, and 10.9.x and they look fine.

Dreamweaver CC fluid grid site, how do I give user the option to view desktop version on mobile?

Hi all, I've just built my first fluid grid site with Dreamweaver CC, just wondering what is the easiest way to give an option to the user to view the desktop version on a mobile device (so they can zoom-in and pinch around and get to see what would be shown on a desktop). My mobile version of the site is a lot different to the desktop. I've kept all the original code structure, css, media quries and use of boilerplate etc intact from the original dreamweaver cc template. If someone could please show the best way to do this would be great

Hi Ben, yes I know but I come across people who insist on using the desktop version of sites because they are more familiar with the layout of the buttons and dont want to relearn etc, I come across this many times on sites I visit myself actually where I don't have time to relearn the navigation of the site because I know the desktop version so well, if in a rush etc.
Hi Mary Blight its definatley possible, I mean I could create a new css file with desktop version only css and use jquery to change the mobile css to this new css file when a user clicks "view desktop button", its just that I must have over 2000 lines of css and about 200 classes thats properties are spread over the 3 different media queries (with different inhertence), and I really don't want to have to manually go through each if I have to.
Was hoping I might be able to use some view port meta tags like how apple does on their devices

Using different templates for the desktop and phone versions of the same blog

I have a site which was created in Adobe Muse and is hosted on Business Catalyst.
I have created both a desktop and a phone versions of the site.
I want to know how I can integrate the blogs that I currently have on the desktop site with the phone version that I just did, using different templates for the desktop and phone versions of the same blog. This is in order to ensure that visitors to the blogs on the website are directed to the templates that render correctly for the devices they are using.
My current approach has been to create both a desktop and phone versions of the blogs. The problem with this however, is that the dates are different and the comments are separated between the two blog versions!
I have also tried enabling mobile templates in BC, but still couldn't find a way to specify the mobile versions of the templates for the same blog?
To recap my problem, I basically need a solution where the same blog uses different templates for desktop and mobile (both templates use different navigation headings and menu styles)

There can be few reason for this, including page contents links or contents used in phone/tablet version.
Please provide the site url , also try to publish the site as a trial site in Business Catalyst with all layouts which would help to isolate the issue.

How do I view websites in theie desktop version instead of mobile?

You can install the Phony add-on to get that feature. After you install it, you'll see the Desktop Firefox option in the User Agent preferences menu.

Search picks up desktop version rather than mobile version of website on smartphone

ive ive recently added a mobile version of my muse website. However I've notiiced that when searching for a freelance creative artworker and selecting my site www.paulsutton-artwork.co.uk on my android phone, it's loading up the desktop version and not the mobile version?
im confused!
could anyone shed any light on this please.

ive typed in the domain name on my smartphone and it's bringing up the desktop version. I've checked again doing a search for Freelance Creative Artworker and when I see my URL I click on it but it's still bringing up desktop version. The only time it brings up phone version is if I type www.paulsutton-artwork.co.uk/phone/index?
id also like to add that as a test I published my site via bc. Strangely enough if I type in the bc URL on my phone it loads up the mobile site, so it appears to work on bc. So does this look like it's something to do with way files are being uploaded to be web host? I've also read someone had a problem with a htaccess file?
ive ive now tried uploading all files via FTP. Still the same result. I've notiiced that my phones URL is now showing www.paulsutton-artwork.co.uk/index.html?devicelock=desktop
can someone please help me with this as I'm tearing my hair out!

How to make editing desktop version automatically edit mobile and tablet versions

I have a website that is currently under development, and I was wondering if there is a way for the Mobile and Tablet versions to automatically update, when I edit the Desktop version.

If you're using Business Catalyst & Muse you can create a content holders . Place the Module on each page, then simply update the content holder via BC Admin and all pages will be updated. If you're not using Business Catalyst then you will always need to update each layout element.

Desktop version is left aligned on mobile devices

My desktop version of my website is left aligned on mobile devices.
I checked if there were items in the grey area but i can't find anything.

Right way to copy desktop version for tablet and mobile

would seem that copying from the desktop version to tablet or mobile, you copy all the contents (texts, images,slide shows etc..).
But i doesn't work. May I have to totally rebuild manually tablet and mobile versions or is possible copy the entire site and then, if i need , make changes in each release?

SVG image does not appear in mobile version but does in desktop version

Hi,
I am new to using Muse and have created only one site before in Muse. I have taken screenshots to show the problem I am having.
I have used Illustrator to create the following logo image that I save out as an SVG file:
As you've probably guessed, I have used clipping mask to insert the marbly purple image into the shapes and text (this may be relevant to the problem, I don't know).
I then save it out as an SVG with the following details as advised by Adobe:
Then moving into Muse, I File > Place the SVG file. 'Unable to generate thumbnail' comes up in both desktop and phone versions:
Regardless, I uploaded to FTP post to my website. While the SVG appears perfectly on my desktop browser, it does not show at all on my phone browser:
This is not only happening on my phone, I have visited the same website on multiple phone devices and still the SVG image does not appear. Any ideas why this is happening?
Have I totally missed something about file formats for mobile browser versions in Muse?
Also- in illustrator, I saved the SVG logo for the mobile version as a SMALLER SVG than the one I saved for the desktop version.

Use a PNG file. I see nothing in your logo that would warrant using anything else. You're not scaling it, there is no interaction and all you are doing is masking out some data that is pixels already. Pardon me, but using an SVG makes no sense at all. Beyond that one would need to see the file, but my guess would be that the "responsive" setting once again embeds some garbage data. Wouldn't be the first time...

Skype Logs out on Mobile and on Desktop version at...

Hello,
My skype always logs out unexpected,
on the mobile version right after I login... 2-3 seconds later Im logged out automatically
on the desktop version ( tried on win7 and win after a few minutes or suddenly in the middle of a call.
Can anyone suggest me a solution? It is not my hard or software. I am using Win 8.0 fresh install.
And I am using LG G2 with android 4.0. on a new phone.
