Security system with GSM module
I want to developt a premises security system intergrate with GSM module that can receive or send SMS to give information such as the premise have been broke by thief. Can
somebody give me any idea?
Could you explain a little more about your system and what you are trying to implement? Where does LabVIEW fit in your system? Are you asking how to send SMS text messages from LabVIEW to a GSM phone or are you asking how to communicate between LabVIEW and some kind of external GSM device? If it's the latter, then tell us a little more about this GSM device.

I'm going to build a small BSS. (Building Security System) with 10 inputs/outpu
The sugestion from the company is a reliable PLC system. Do you have any sugestions of what hardware to use ? M
Michael,
It really depends a lot on what you want the system to do, how flexible you need it to be, what kind of future expansion capabilities, etc.
From an NI product line perspective, if you are looking at using a PLC you should take a look at our cRIO solution. Like a PLC, Compact RIO has a plethora of different I/O modules. Unlike a PLC, Compact RIO is far more programmable/flexible. It can run a real time operating system with user-programmable FPGA for tight control.
If this seems like overkill for your solution, you might consider something more simple. You could probably get away with some simple digital I/O. We can provide solutions pretty much everywhere in between. You might consider contacting someone in our sales department to talk through your requirements and have them make a recommendation.

Masters in strategic information systems with SAP modules
Hi,
I have completed my graduation in information technology and currently working in a software industry as a software developer. I wish to pursue my higher education in information systems with integrated SAP modules . I found this course MSc in strategic information systems in the university of east Anglia impressive and wish to pursue the same . Am I on the right track and if you have any better suggestions or courses please share your thoughts , it would be of great help to me .
Thank you.
Edited by: DIhutt on Jan 12, 2012 6:39 AMHi Rahul,
Without the SAP skillset and more importantly the knowledge-based SAP implementation experience which we provide, I would suggest holding off to this masters' program. It takes about two years to complete a full lifecycle implementation of SAP (notwithstanding that some try to squeeze it to six months). I have done SAP training in the US since 2006 and have 30 years of IT including Big 4 SAP IT consulting experience. Also, after bachelor's degree, it used to be that the university will not take you into master's program if you do not have at least two years of business and IT experience. I have had software developers (e.g., ABAP, Java) in my training class.
Prerequisites are basic computer skills in Microsoft and some business experience.

Need help with the Modulation Toolkit to configure a QPSK Modulation
Hi! I'm
trying to build a CDMA system with the Modulation Toolkit to use it later with
a PXI-RF Product as a part of my thesis (I don't remember the exact model
number because it's in my university and I'm home right now, sorry). But my problem right now is, I assume, a very simple one.
I'm having
some trouble understanding the MT Modulate PSK.vi and the MT
Demodulate PSK.vi since I have them both connected and the output bit stream is
not the same as the input bit stream. I'm guessing it's a problem with the sync
parameters in the MT Generate Synchronization Parameter.vi because maybe I
don't really understand how the sync bits work. I tried using a simple
sync header but the output bit stream is always shorter than the input and shows
only a little portion of the input bit stream and some of the 1's I used to
create the sync header, and it gets worse when I increase the number of input
bits.
I'm
attaching the simple vi I created to try to understand the mod-demod vi's, so
if someone knows what I'm doing wrong it would be great if you let me know
since I'm stuck in my thesis and understanding this issue will let me continue
with the project.
Thanks a
lot in advance!
Daniel

safari, chrome and firefox cannot verify identity of secure websites after upgrading to 10.7.4, apple engineers have tried multiple things including operating system with no success
There are several threads about this problem, most notably one called 'Invalid Certificates' is over 4 pages long. Many of us have experienced difficulty connecting to banking and other secure sites. On my Macbook Pro, I cannot get to my banking site with any browser, however I can get there on my iMac using Safari, but get the 'Invalid Certificate' notice with FF and Chrome. The problem started after the installation of 10.7.4. I have sent a message to Apple--they will be dismayed to hear that I cannot complete an order at their online store!

Hello,
I want to create a wifi security system for a truck with cameras, but all the ones I found are IP. So I don't know if it's possible to use it only on wifi (not on 3G/LTE).
If you have an idea, it will be nice...
Thank youthat range of most wifi setup unless you want to pay alot!
would likely mean you could see about as much as the camera from where you were standing
a mifi or otherwise something which bridge a lan to the internet would work
make sure the camera have a webserver in it and then you can see it from any web browser where you put in the login and password -
How to copy a generic extractor with function module into a new system?
Dear Gurus,
i would like to know how i can copy a gneric datasource with function module from one system to the target system.
Thank you
CheersHi Anesh,
thank you for replying.
Since the Datasource will have a new new in the new system, i will create a new one.
Create a generic datasource base on the table is not the problem.
My problem is how could i copy the FM in the new system?
If you can help me on that, it will be fine.

Voice Recognition security System... Can it be done with Java??

nullMake the PDF file available as a normal URL on the server.
Redirect the client browser to the URL.
This will work IF Acrobat is installed, AND is installed as a plugin to the browser, but that's a reasonable assumption if you're presenting PDF files in the first place.
I wouldn't personally be inclined to try to do this with an applet (JSPs + Servlets would be the way to go in my opinion), but it may be possible to redirect the page from an applet...? -
How can aol e-mail be hacked into with the security system through Foxfire?
My aol e-mail was/is being "hacked" when I used someone else's laptop to check my e-mail while I was in Canada. How can this happen if I have "security" through Firefox/Avast? I have finally opened up a new e-mail system with comcast but what can I do in the mean time?
It looks like you are using a IMAP mail account, a protocol used by most email providers nowadays. Read -> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_Message_Access_Protocol
The main feature of IMAP is the sync of all the changes you do on your mail account. If you want to keep your mails on one Mac, have a look at this site -> http://kb.mit.edu/confluence/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=3908294 -

I found solution over internet for regarding the above issue which was suggested that NETWORK SERVICE is not having required permission. Used subinacl with the following command (on Command prompt with elevated mode)
subinacl /service msdtc /grant="Network Service"=QSETIL
But the same resulted in error: Last Failed: msdtc - OpenService Error : 5 Access is denied.
Getting nowhere regarding this now. Please helpHi Harkirat,
Have you tried

I have a MacBook Air with OS X and am having trouble accessing the ADT Pulse Home Security System cameras. The mobile (iPhone and iPad) apps allow access no problem, but I can't get a picture on the MacBook. Have tried Safari and Firefox browsers. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.
From a Catherine to Katherine -- Had the exact same problem!! I had to enable Java twice - both in Safari and then on the MacBookAir itself.

Using a different user(other than default PI user) with adapter module
Hi,
We are having a custom adapter module built to interact with a Hardware Security Module(HSM). This custom adapter module by default uses a PI user configured in the system. However, we are not able to pass commands to HSM because of insufficient authorizations to this PI user. Now, we do not exactly know the permissions required for the user to access HSM. We have asked the HSM support team about the same. However, I wanted to explore the possibility of using a different PI user to work with the adapter module and eventually pass commands to HSM.
We have an admin user configured which has all the necessary authorizations. Is it possible to use this admin user created on PI system to work with adapter module so that it passes commands to HSM?
Thanks,
Ravi DesaiWe have given the necessary authorizations to PI user.

After update from 6.0.1 to 6.0.2 some systems with CSA cun`t boot.
If manualy delete agent (in safe mode) - everething ok.
Few systems butable, but agent process takes more then 90% processor resourses.
Logs on CSA MC are clean
Any ideas? Manual uninstall agent on few hungreds workstaitions is unreal...There has been a recent bug discovered with interaction of CSA and Windows 7 hosts where a file access control rule which implements digital suignature checking can cause a system to "hang" after entering credentials. The bug is CSCtg98849. The following workaround is provided in the bug:
Edit the "Base - Digital Signing of Downloaded Executables" rule module and disable the file access control "Send downloaded executables for scanning if opened for read".
Save the change.
Generate rules and deploy to affected hosts.

There has also been an issue seen where agents that have not received the new 6.0.2 binaries, but have had 6.0.2 rules pushed encounter issues. The workaround in this instance is to schedule an update for the agents.
It would be advatageous to open a service request with TAC to effectively diagnose the issue, and ensure this is the proper bug for the behavior.

This does not surprise me at all. These were/are related to your Symantec. IMHO it is bloatware and after doing 10,000+ BSODS I have seem it more than any other malware app I would remove it and use MSE in its place
Symantec is a frequent cause of BSOD's.
I would remove and replace it with Microsoft Security Essentials AT LEAST TO TEST
