See changes in iCal?

Hi, me and my assistant both have our own macbooks. Our calendars, contacts,... are set up to share all our information. So any changes she makes, I can see after a few seconds.
But is there a way to see what data has been changed on iCal? for example, can I see which changes have been made by her today?

Thanks. Let me see if I understand. I have an Outlook account at work which I never directly use. I access my Outlook email through Mac Mail. I use iCal and I don't use my corporate calendar at all -- although I should and that's the purpose of this post.
Basically, I use a mac exclusively in a Windows oriented workplace.
Here's what's on the Apple Website (link above):
"Setting up MobileMe to sync with your PC is simple. Just install the latest version of iTunes, and a MobileMe Preferences application is added to your Windows Control Panel. Sign in with your MobileMe member name and password and all of your settings are right there."
So, I need to log in to a Windows PC at work and download iTunes. At this point I have my iCal calendar in the MobileMe "Cloud" and I've logged into a networked computer at work. Now I suppose I have to open Outlook on this computer. As I mentioned above, I have an Outlook account, so I suppose when I'm logged in and open Outlook, that the Outlook account that launches is my Outlook account. Now what do I do? Is there a sync button in the MobileMe Preferences application within the Windows Control Panel? Supposing that there is, does a sync operation at this point sync my MobileMe calendar information to my Outlook calendar? Is it just that easy??

In this code I only postchanges() in first view and dont want to commit.
But I cant see changes row in the page .If I press save I see transaction completed succesfully message.
But in database not insertted any rows.
If I write commit() after postchanges() code I see rows in the table .But I dont want to commit.Only post

You should NEVER use statements like this in managed beans:
ApplicationModule empSvc = Configuration.createRootApplicationModule(AM, CF);
This will create a separate application module instance, not shared by the the web pages. That's why you do not see the changes.
Instead, you can use the following code:
ApplicationModule am = (ApplicationModule)JsfUtils.getExpressionValue("#{data.MyAppModuleDataControl.dataProvider}");
where MyAppModuleDataControl shoud be replaced with the name of your am data control.

I cannot see changes on layers immediately (CS 5)

I use PS CS5 some months and I found out some weeks ago following problem:
If I work in PS and make some changes, for instance I create a new layer I cannot see changes immediately.
I must click in the image directly and than I can see updated image.
I do not know how to repair this serious problem. There is nearly impossible to work with PS in this situation.

Noel, thats not right, your looking at the desktop drivers its a laptop.
those drivers where released in october 2010.
there are currently beta drivers out that are 179.48 you can try those see if it helps. (8.17.12.6089) i think.

xp 32 bit drivers 6.14.12.6099 where released Oct/16/2010 so they may be the latest drivers 260.99
When you down load drivers from Nvidia, they show the driver package version. when you look at the driver version in Photoshop, it shows the file version.

Changes in ical won't update my Exchange 2007 server

If I make a change in ical, it doesn't update my server calendar. It works the other way round. Can anyone help? Is it possible to make this work? My server support line tell me Exchange 2007 doesn't support ical.

As far as i know without OCM; we can't see changes made in terms of quantity, dates in production order
But is there any alternative way, table or something which shows me changes made in atleast either of two i.e. quantity / dates for a production order

How to see changes in database made by other users

If few users are connected to one database what should be done that all users could see changes (updates, inserts) made by one of them?
I have set conn.setTransactionIsolation(Connection.TRANSACTION_READ_COMMITTED);
and statement = DatabaseConnection.conn.createStatement
(ResultSet.TYPE_SCROLL_SENSITIVE, ResultSet.CONCUR_READ_ONLY);
but phrase dmd.othersUpdatesAreVisible(ResultSet.TYPE_SCROLL_SENSITIVE) returns false.

seems more elegant to meOn the contrary - it's an architectural kludge. Solutions of this type are fragile. This may be acceptable in return for an improved user experience, but you need to weigh this particular improvement against possible degradation elsewhere as a result of it.
Databases are designed to be queried. You're trying to have the database notify you. Given this you will have to trade some quality in return for the feature you're after.
Note also that transactionality is pretty much about avoiding the scenario (views on incomplete or conflicting transactions) that you're seeking. Given how much effort goes into avoiding this are you absolutely sure you've thought through the possible consequences of it? What about transactions that get rolled back and thus (effectively) never occur, for example - should your users be able to see these?
So, your trade-offs are:
Polling - Pro: gives you the behaviour you ask for. Con: Fragile, may cause performance problems, possibly unwise for business reasons. Have you performed usability testing (http://useit.com/) to ensure your users actually need this?
Manual updates - Pro: reliable, performant, ACID. Con: Not the dynamic behaviour you ask for.
There are two other possibilities which have not been discussed. I mention them for the sake of completeness, but I don't recommend them.
Database Notification - Pro: as manual. Con: not a portable solution; if possible at all you will need to take advantage of database specific features such as triggers and Java stored procedures. Adds considerable complexity to the database layer and thus requires alert and informed DBAs (worth their weight in gold).
Application Notification - Pro: portable to some extent. Con: agnostic about updates occurring outside your application. Requires a solid architectural base to be robust.
(edit: after re-reading the OP, I'm not sure if he does or does not want to see incomplete transactions; disregard those points if he doesn't.)

How to see changes in DB at another comp?

When starting the same appliction on several comps I don't see changes in tables made by the same user on another comp unless I restart the application. F5 doesn't help. I see changes only if I make changes myself. As I understand Commit-operation makes me see changes made by other users. What can I do? I can make Commit every time I choose the row. But it makes the app slowly and sometimes I don't need Commit.

well come to ADF Commit/Rollback is for Application Module (i.e) entire transaction. not for any single row.
But it makes the app slowly and sometimes I don't need Commit.
here. what you mean slowly? if you dont commit nothing will be went to the db. then how others check it out the your changes.

Don't see changes in Live View until after 30 second delay

Running Dreamweaver CS5.5 on Mac OS X 10.7.5
Running Locally using MAMP
Site is configured to run on a local PHP/MySQL server, and consists of a single index.php file with nothing more than an html header (I don't even have any PHP in there yet).
When I use Dreamweaver to make a change in my index.php file (such as changing the text in the header), I save it, and then go to Live View or Web Browser Preview. In both cases, it takes over 30 seconds before I see my changes in Live View or Browser Preview.
To get a better idea of my workflow:
     1) My indiex.php file header reads "This is a test"... and it's correct in both Live View and Browser Preview.
     2) I change the header to be "Hello World".
     3) Select "Save" from the File menu.
     4) Click the "Live View" button.
     5) Live view still reads "This is a test"
     6) Open Browser Preview, also still reads "This is a test"
     7) I spam the refresh button in both Live View and Web Preview, no change, still reads "This is a test".
     8) After about 30 seconds of hitting the refresh button, the change finally is visible in Live View and Web Preview, reading "Hello World".
Anyone seen anything similar? Any ideas why I'm getting such a long delay before seeing my changes? Any suggestions to fix it (besides restarting my mac?

Restarting the computer was the obvious first thing to try, but had no effect.
I have over 2GB free memory and still experiencing the issue.
It does take a few seconds to load the Live View for the first time, but that's not my problem. My problem is that with Live View already loaded, it takes over 30 seconds after saving changes to the php file before I can see the changes in the Live View (I'm clicking the refresh button once a second, and on the thirty something time I'll finally see my changes).
With "Preview Using Temporary Files" turned off, I get the behavior I've been describing.
Turning "Preview Using Temporary Files" on does actually mitigate the issue for me, though, so thank you for that suggestion!
     - I can see changes in my Live View instantly after saving and clicking the refresh button.
     - I can see changes using Preview in Browser instantly too... but the browsers refresh button has no effect (which makes sense since the temporary file it's looking at hasn't changed).
     - I can actually get some work done now.
However, I still feel that I should be able see my changes in Live View immediately after saving and clicking the refresh button without using "Preview Using Temporary Files", and I'd like to be able to leave the page open in my browser and just click the browser's refresh button to see my recently saved changes instantly.
So Long Story Short:
     Using "Preview Using Temporary Files" has definitely helped!
     But I still have no way to see my changes immediately without using temporary files, so something still seems fishy.

Where can I see change documents for all changes to WBS elements

I have set up config via OPSA for both Basic Data and Status Management change documents to be allowed for nominated project profiles. I have then created a new project with the required project profile and whilst I can see the history for status management / user status. I am unable to see changes for other field information.
Is there a way to be able to see who changes the data like (wbs description, person responsible /applicant, profit centres etc)?
I have checked table JCDS and that only appears to give me status management.

What Would you like to see changed in FC?

Hello everybody,
just a little introduction, as announced flash catalyst would solve the problem of many designers to publish their work without one line of code, well, here begins a death foretold. At some point things to go well but then the problems begin a dependence to have a programmer on the left arm in addition to the program is rather limited. Flash is already incorporating the AS3 language, now wonder why launch a program with a new language, rather confusing, no? as a designer I do not want to worry about programming, but concentrate on the aesthetic aspect of my layout, which is why I found interesting the coming of the catalyst. it was all a lie, or say one more death will be announced shortly birth. but we believe that all this will change and enable designers to express their skills as designers and media .... without a single line of code. otherwise the flash is fine and the catalyst becomes an obsolete program. finally, each monkey on its branch and rethink that, besides confusing the catalyst does not become functional in the optical designer.
What would you like to see changed in Catalyst?
- Most states
- can apply Form Email etc
- better handling of text
- No dependence with programmers, or if it is not possible to incorporate code changes in the proper catalyst
more there, and hopefully remember me
I want to thank The Adobe team that created the opportunity to open new horizons to the class of designers, I still think that the catalyst has great potential ,.... but not the way it is.

Well the forms for sure. At least an email form. This really just needs to be there. Ultimatley I think there just needs to be some training right now if they want this product to get used the way they intended. I am sure I will have a ton more to add to this list as I dig deeper into my first live job using it.
Not sure on the AS3 thing, it has been out since 2006, although I may have just misread what you were saying.
A way to change the loading bar would definitly be nice now that I am thinking about it.

Unable to make changes in iCal

I've lost the ability to make changes in iCal. Any change I make is lost when I quit and restart Ical. For example: Added event disappears, deleted task or calender reappears, unpublished calender is again marked as published. All looks fine while iCal is running and is undone when iCal is restarted.
I can make changes in e.g. Mail, I removed tasks from Mail and they stayed removed.
Events added in my iPhone gets added in iCal.

I can't seem to find any help for this issue either. I don't have a .mac account btw. but here is what happened to me.
I've been trying to switch over from entourage so I organized my recurring events in ical, including a few calendars, a few subscription calendars and the "show birthday calendars" option. Everything was fine for a week. Then i opened ical and all my tasks and some of my events (but not all) were missing. At this point ical began to NOT save anything i entered. I would enter a test task or event and upon reopening the application the changes were not there.
I searched the internet for help. I found no advice except deleting everything and starting over. This i did last week. I even deleted my plists, library etc... Now when i relaunched, I had empty Home and Work calendars and a "Entourage calendar", which i tried to delete multiple times (syncing was turned off), but I can't seem to permanently remove. It will go away if i delete it, but if i clean up the plists and library again it comes back. maybe this is the way it's suppose to work?? In any case, i finally just unchecked it. This time things seemed to work fine for a day. So i finally turned back on the "birthdays calendar", but i was still leery of subscribing to any other calendars. Things were fine again.
Last night I entered my tasks again. No importing, just directly entering the info into ical. This morning I open i cal and i'm back to where i started. No tasks, missing events, and i can't seem to get any new events or tasks to save. I'm so frustrated! I hope someone can help. Thanks!
