Ive had my Ipod since about June and everything has worked fine on it, but Ive sinced moved and unhooked my computer for awhile..I was using tthe Ipod at work and home on other computers and everything worked great, now I set up the computer again, go to add a song and I get this error:
"Ipod cannot be updated because the required folder is missing"...Also, when I try using the Ipod updater download I had previously used (for it to get the Nike+ software to work) it says its outdated and i need to use iTunes to update it, only iTunes says its already up to date!!
Before it was doing this I restored it after i got an error message for error -48. I'm at a lose I have no idea what else to do, and this is the 4th Ipod of gone through because of issues, 2 never even got used because they were corrupt, and Im sick of all this so if anyone can help that would be great.

Here's a method that works for some users that get the message: "iPod cannot update. The required folder could not be found".
Try deleting the "iPod Photo Cache" folder, eject your iPod, reconnect it, then try syncing your iPod again.

Never see/heard this problem before...

I've extensively searched this discussion board to find a topic similiar to my problem but I don't see anyone ever has a problem like mine, nor I know if there is anyone knows how to troubleshoot my problem. It's about the sound/voice.
I've a nano ipod of 2GB which is fairly new. Everything was going well until a week ago when the sound got lowered/decreased a lot even on high setting. I tried everything I could to increase the sound but no avail. First I thought that something wrong in my ears as I got used to hearing music on high volume because I travel mostly in noisy places like on trains and public bus. So I thought that something has gotten wrong in my ear's drums, but then I ruled that out because I could hear TV and other things around the house just fine.
My ipod has a VERY little sound which is next to none. I don't even feel like using it because I cannot hear anything when I go out. I don't know how it happened and don't know how to fix it. I don't see any topic discussing this kind of problem nor I see anyone ever having this problem. My ipod never fallen on the floor or anything like that. It's just out of blue it lost its volume. And it's a new ipod. Just a month old.
PLEASE help if anyone knows anything about it.

It's called trying to be helpful. I read all the recent posts in all the iPod forums. I find it faster than switching between the several relevant ones. Besides, it's amazing what one can learn with an open and curious mind.

NFirefox will not allow me to click on a link without switching to another program first. The version is 3.6.8. This problem makes Firefox virtually unusable. Help!

Firefox will not allow me to click on more than one link in a sequence. After one click, I am forced to switch to another active application before returning to Firefox and clicking on another link. I have seen this problem posted by others, but I can't find an answer by Mozilla. Since this problem makes Firefox virtually unusable (version 3.6.8) I would hope that Mozilla would offer an answer ASAP. Until then, I'm stuck with Explorer.

When you say that the "search bar for my iTunes library no longer works" can you be more specific? The operation of the search function has changed in iTunes 12, essentially having two very distinct modes:
when Search Entire Library is checked, entering a search string will generate a dropdown of all matching items within your whole library, from which multiple operations are available via context menus
when Search Entire Library is unchecked, entering a search string creates a filtered view of whatever your current focus is (e.g., if you're looking at a playlist the filter applies only to items in that playlist) with none of the dropdown options as in the first case

Problem with changing flash content - Need help

I need help in changing the flash content. Here is my proble,
1) I bought a flash template (I will call this Original) from a website and paid some money to customize my menu,logo and background color.
2) After they finished it they sent me several files. Like 1) index.html, .swf, psd, .fla. In all the files .html,.swf (the video) and .psd I am seeing my customize changes (logo,menu and background color). But the .fla file they sent me is still shows everything from original template. It doesn't have my logo, menu or background color.
3) I asked their technical support and they walk me through. a) Open the .fla file in flash pro. b) Change the content c) Hit Ctrl+Enter and it will export the new .swf file to the flash folder. d) Make sure I delete the video from flash folder and replace the name with the one I created.
I did all these steps. But the problem is the .SWF that i generated is showing everything from the orignal template. It did change the content but I don't see any of my customize request. (Menu, logo or color)
4) Then I open the index.html and I DID NOT see any of the changes in the content.
My feeling is they did not provide me the correct .FLA file. I really need your help.
My confusion is a) Have they provide me the correct .FLA file or I am doing something wrong. b) When I generated the new .swf video and renamed it properly why it didn't reflect in the index.html file.
I am really going back and forth with them since last 15 days and its not going anywhere. I really appreciate any help.

Unfortunately, if you have not enough knowledge about using Flash, and do not want to pay to have this done for you, the folks who did this for you are likely going to be the only ones who can help you resolve it. They should be able to provide the edited fla and the new swf if they are in any way a credible/reliable business.... which at this point sounds like they are not.

Most often due two one of the following.
1 Install current version of iTunes, older Macintosh Systems will not support current version of iTunes, make sure you have current version of iTunes.
Or
2 Your computer Hosts file is blocking Apple from communicating with iTunes. To determine this, search Hosts on computer, then open Hosts file with a word processor. If the Hosts file contains this, gs.apple.com it is blocking Apple. This line with its number must be inactivated (removing it works). A stock Hosts file does not contain this or block Apple.
Here is Apple information on this problem:
"This device is not eligible for the requested build: Also sometimes displayed as an "error 3194." If you receive this alert, update to the latest version of iTunes. Third-party security software or router security settings can also cause this issue. To resolve this, follow Troubleshooting security software issues.
Downgrading to a previous version of iOS is not supported. If you have installed software to perform unauthorized modifications to your iOS device, that software may have redirected connections to the update server (gs.apple.com) within the Hosts file. First you must uninstall the unauthorized modification software from the computer, then edit out the "gs.apple.com" redirect from the hosts file, and then restart the computer for the host file changes to take affect. For steps to edit the Hosts file and allow iTunes to communicate with the update server, see iTunes: Troubleshooting iTunes Store on your computer, iPhone, iPad, or iPod—follow steps under the heading Blocked by configuration (Mac OS X / Windows) > Rebuild network information > The hosts file may also be blocking the iTunes Store. Problem with Quicktime...need help...

I used to visit "VirusRadio.com" frequently and listen to old Opie and Anthony shows online, and never had a problem. Here lately (after installing XP Pro, I've noticed) I've been totally unable to stream content off this website. When I had Home Edition, I just downloaded quicktime and this site loaded perfectly, yet this isn't so on XP Pro. Maybe some of my firewall/Internet settings aren't correct, or maybe it's a quicktime issue...but I need help. I'm losing my mind trying to figure this out. Any help would be much appreciated. These software conflicts could be due to some inconsistency the Leopard upgrade caused in the System folder. Doing a clean "Archive & Install" of Leopard will probably fix your problems.

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
With a strong carrier network signal (e.g., not merely WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2 each should result in a message coming to your BB...please wait for that before proceeding to the next step):
1) Register HRT
KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with the wireless network
Please wait for one "registration" message to arrive to your Messages app
2) Delete and Resend Service Books (pre-BB10 devices only)
KB05000Delete the service book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account from the BlackBerry smartphone
If you have no CMIME entry, then skip the deletion
KB02830 Send the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service
Please wait for "Activation" Messages, one per already configured email account, to arrive in your Messages. If you have no already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.
3) Reboot
With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes.
See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
Hopefully that will get things going again for you!
If not, then I recommend that you attempt to boot into Safe Mode:

It may take you multiple attempts to get the ESC key sequence (press/release/hold) correct, so be patient. When successfully into Safe Mode, see what happens.
If the behavior ceases, then think carefully...what happened just before this behavior started? A new app? An update? A Theme? Something else? Think carefully as the smallest change could be causal...and attempt to undo whatever that was.
But if the behavior continues in Safe Mode, then you may need to consider more drastic actions -- WIPE, OS Reload, BBSAK Wipe/Reload, and the "Bare Bones" OS Reload Process. To prepare, you should be sure that you have a full backup to your PC...please review the Backup link in my auto-sig on this post for instructions.

Problem uninstalling safari 4.0, need help!

Two months ago I had installed safari 4.0 on my win xp based system. After few days I was cleaning hard disks and removing temporary files. I have deleted
C:DOCUME~1username~1.000LOCALS~1TempIXP057.TMP
Folder and now when I am trying to uninstall Safari 4 then got problem. A windows Installer dialog box opens that says:
The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource or unavailable. I tried to remove it from control panel but no success. Now when I tried to install the safari 4, it also giving error and I can’t install safari 4. please suggest any idea to fix this problem!

In the majority of cases of a missing .msi message (they can hit any software that uses Windows Installer), the msi in question is damaged rather than missing. It contains the installation database for the application (listing what and where all the files and registry entries are for the application) which is why trouble with an .msi causes uninstall trouble. So we have to get Safari uninstalled by other means than the Add or Remove Programs control panel.
These sorts of msi-related troubles have gotten more complicated to deal with ever since Microsoft pulled the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from their Download Center on June 25. First we have to find a copy of the utility.
Let's try Googling. (Best not to use Bing, I think.) Look for a working download site for at least version 3.0 of the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. After downloading the utility installer file (msicuu2.exe), scan the file for malware, just in case. (I use the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware to do single-file scans for that.)
If the file is clean, to install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you've downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any Safari entries and click "Remove".
Quit out of CleanUp. In My Computer, open Local Disk C: or whichever drive you have your program files installed on.
Open the "Program Files" folder.
Right-click on the "Safari" folder and select "Delete".
Your Safari 4.0.x should be gone now.

Problem using Java under Vista - Need help, please

Hi everybody, I'm looking after a solution to resolve following problem : for one of my customer who's needing to use a secure access to a HTTPS URL, after Java is started, I receive the Java logo but it must be followed by an authentification screen where it's needed to enter a login + password. Sometimes it work (I think only when I force to reload the HTTPS certificate) but each time, the application freeze on this screen that I can see in the Task Bar but I can only close it and impossible to access it for the next step of the process. It's working on an original Windows Vista Home Premium pre-installed on a Sony Vaio Laptop and I've already use the application on another computer with Vista Business without any problem. Thanks for your answer. I've just tried on my XP Laptop. Here are the steps : after several windows, the Java start into a blank window and I receive then the logo at the left side of the window. After, in this case I'm asked to accept the HTTPS certificate and remember it if I want. When accepted, I receive then new "little" window (like a dialof box) with "Authentifaction request" when I need to enter again a login + password. If I recieve this last window, it mean that all is going fine but in my "problem" case, after the Java window, I see only this authentification request onthe task bar but no way to open it or to see it on the screen but no error message except ont the java window (no answer). Perhaps one more information, indication, it appaers "Oracle Application Server Forms Services" into the title bar.

Sound disconnect L755-M1M2 need help

im having a problem with the sound on my laptop
when ever open a video on youtube or im on skype
the sound will disconnect by it self
and on Youtube i have to reload the page and the sound will work again but only for a few Minutes (1-2 minutes ) and the sound will disconnect again and again
the same issue with Skype
while im talking to someone the sound will disconnect and i have to end the call and call again , i noticed that if i lost the sound the person who is with me can hear me but i cant hear him/her
this issue is so bad i cant handle it anymore
i tryed to remove the sound driver and re install it again and no changes
and i still have this problem

Have problem with K7t-266pro2-A NEED HELP !!

HI, I have a MSI K7T266pro2-a and I just got it yesterday. Everything works fine, except for one thing, which is my floppy disk drive. It detects it, however, it wont scan any of the diskettes i insert. Also when i goto my floppy drive it has an error saying some error that it cant read it or something then asks to retry, abort, fail and it keeps going like that. How do i fix this problem with the Floppy drive, Thanks.

Have you tested another floppy drive? How bout another cable? For some reason, I have had to change floppies depending on the mobo because some I have had don't like some floppies I have had.
