Sir how I get child result in father group by deptid
Can I use loop in query that run dept table and sum dept wise result
Please give me idea bow I get resutl
thank's

meaby a hint I can give you is you can do a grouping by on substr. example:
create table t(v varchar2(30), n number);
insert into t values('K201',5);
insert into t values ('K202', 10);
select sum(n)
from t
group by substr(v,0,3); => result: 15
But actually I think you need to rethink your data structure. Add a parent_id so you can use hierarchical queries, ...

  • My MacBook Core 2 Duo will not boot up.  In safe mode I see keychain problems and Mach 1102.

    My MacBook Core 2 Duo will not boot up.  In safe mode I see keychain problems and Mach 1102 and it keeps circling through the same error.  Also the screen is so faint (pressing the F1 and F2 keys don't do anything).   I got this from a friend and he didn't have any of the original discs.  Any suggestions?  From what I've read it's a problem with a recent update.  I've never had a Mac so I'm trying to learn and fix it.

    I just had an issue like this. I was able to boot up with an external firewire drive, although it was a lot of trouble. I think doing an option boot finally worked; holding down the option key, I eventually got to see the firewire drive was bootable, and booted from it.
    I put the thing in verbose boot mode (command - v , I think; but please look it up. I have no Mac books at work to check). In verbose mode, you could see that the hard drive could not mount; the OS tried to do fsck, but it failed around 2/3 of the way, and the CPU was halted.
    I was occasionally able to boot normally, but never in safe or single user modes; these do a disk test first, which invariably failed.
    I could see from the system and console logs when I managed to get the firewire boot going that there were repeated errors trying to access drive s03, the internal SATA drive. The logs on the SATA drive showed huges numbers of errors. At a wild guess, for some reason a lot of sectors went bad all at once. There had been a some erratic behavior before, but I'd put that down to the single processor G5 problems. (these were non video related, just freezes).
    Applecare wanted me to carry the huge thing into the local Apple store, but I persuaded them to just send me a replacment hard drive, which they did. The new one works perfectly.

  • Avoiding OS patch 2.4, anyone see a problem with that?

    Based on the new 'features' the release offers, I decided to hold off on upgrading my AppleTV. Other than the prompt every time i use the device, I don't see a problem here.
    I guess my main question is around subsequent upgrades. Do i have to upgrade to 2.4 to be able to go to 2.Next or 3.0 when it's out, or can I jump versions when they become available?

    The tv will update to the latest version from any previous version, indeed you are unable to do incremental updates.
    There are problems encountered by some with any upgrade, I don't consider 2.4 to have caused any more than normal and I haven't seen any problems on a vanilla system. There are some features that have been changed, some that others may not have liked, but generally speaking I'm not sure why you shouldn't upgrade unless you are aware of specific features that may no longer be available.

    check this line and tell me what you see... after all, it's the source of your compiler errors...
    public image readImage(String filename) {
              Image image = Toolkit.getDefaultToolkit().getImage(imageName);once you figure that out, it will work...
    ( hint : check variable names and capitalization of names )

  • Anyone ever see this problem before???

    (AKA...welcome to bizarro world)
    We picked up a 500MHz iBook (Snow, dual USB) from a recycler because he showed us photos of it's good screen and thought the unit would be good for parts. We were really expecting a piece of junk but when we received the unit we were surprised that it's almost in mint condition.
    We turned the unit on and here's what happens:
    1. White background with Apple logo shows up, no spinner. Sits like this for about a minute.
    2. Suddenly Apple logo is replaced by a rectangle that looks like it has random colors in it.
    3. About 20 seconds later, the spinner shows up, and then the system boots.
    We thought something was wrong with the boot disk. We've seen a lot of school systems and companies mess with these systems by replacing the Apple logo with one of their own....cute trick if they do it right....if they do it wrong they hose the system. We booted off of a Firewire disk w/Tiger on it and the unit ran fine. Ran AHT on the unit and it passed with flying colors. We decided someone must have messed up the hard disk so we would proceed with a complete repartitioning of the HD and then an install of Panther.
    Did the complete re-install of Panther. Unit worked great!!1! Proceeded to download ALL the updates for the unit. Suddenly, the system starts acting flakey.It's dropping internet connections, and can't complete downloads. We reboot. NOW the original problem re-appears (i.e. wierd boot w/scrambled logo). We suspect the disk is erratic and on its way out. We re-attempt the complete installation...once again, it works fine AFTER we do a CD based OS install, and yet once again after attempting software updates problems are re-introduced.
    We've done updates on many 500MHz iBooks and completed Panther online software updates without a single problem. There's one catch, and this is the only thing I can think of that's different with this particular system: THIS UNIT HAS A COMBINED DVD-ROM/CD-ROM reader on it...not a CDROM or CD R/W.
    Anyone else ever see a problem like this before?

    OSX Fan:
    Congratulations on the mint condition iBook G3.
    I would first try re-installing 10.3.9 Combo Update. Remember to Repair Dis Permissions in Applications > Utilites > Disk Utility before and after installing.
    I suspect that the HDD is failing or failed. As you may know, the Verified S.M.A.R.T Status reading is not as accurate as the Failing or Failed reading. This computer was introduced in May 2001 so it is well past the 3 to 5 years average life of an internal HDD. Download and run SMART Utility - 2.0.2 and see what that tells you. If the computer boots via firewire that seems to indicate that it works fine. If the issue is in the Panther upgrades, the Combo upgrader should resolve that issue.
    Please let us know how the above recommendations work, if you try them.

    Hi,
    If its for a week than I won't bother. Probably you should try to get teh same report for these wait events in a much smaller period , like 20-30minutes of time period when your db is fully operational. If still at that time the wait events,these or any other, shoot up to high wait times, things can be investigated more deeply.

    If you have iTunes 11 on your computer then you can enable the left-hand sidebar on it via option-command-S on a Mac, control-S on a PC - when connected (and if your computer's iTunes is up-to-date) your iPad should then appear on that sidebar under a 'Devices' heading :
    If you select the iPad on that sidebar you can then use the Movies tab on the right-hand side of the iTunes screen to select and sync that film to your iPad's Videos app.
    Has your iPad been synced to the computer before ? If not then you might find this page for syncing to a new computer useful : https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3141

  • I'm still seeing the problem with printing when css overflow is hidden (bug 104040) which I had heard was claimed fixed

    Example:
    http://scaled.com/projects/whiteknighttwo_spaceshiptwo_test_summaries
    User: firefox 40b7/32 on fedora core 11 x86_64
    Linux 2.6.30.8-64.fc11.x86_64 #1 SMP
    Symptom: printout truncates at end of first page instead of printing several pages of information
    I've seen this behavior on many websites, this is an example
    I can fix it by copying the page and hacking the css to remove all cases of "overflow:hidden". But really firefox needs to handle this - I just discovered from googling that something like this has been a known problem for 10 years.

    I just thought I should post this comment, to say my long running problem has finally....FINALLY been sorted out!
    It was actually really fixed at the end of September, but I have waited till now, until I received my first proper bill to feel confident enough to say it is finally sorted out.....but what a long winded process!...it took over a month to sort this out, with endless hours on the phone, and endless promises not kept.
    The problem with BT's customer service is the fact that going through normal channels, no one person can sort a problem out. You get passed from pillar to post, with every department saying that it is someone else's area of responsibility and then it takes hours on the phone with various deparments in different countries, to get a commitment to sort it out, and then nothing happens!
    It was only after posting my final desperate plea on this forum, for all the world to see, that I finally got one of the Moderators to take up my case, and sort the problem out, although it took him over a month to get through all the treacle of BT's admin before a solution was found.
    I am very greatful to the Mods for dealing with my problem, which was not of my making, but was due to something going wrong with BT's system.
    There is however something fundamentally wrong with BT's Customer Service set up, where no one person seems to take responsibilty for a CXXk-up on their part, and seems unable to have the authority to sort it out.
    Once again, Thank you Mods for your help.

  • Anyone See a Problem With Malwarebytes

    For Macs?  I have malware on my Imac without doubt - for 3 weeks now. I have done some things and have additional tasks to do, but I'd prefer to use something like this as I am extremely busy and don't have the time go throough learning curves on how to do everything or have the time to back up my drives and reinstall software and files etc. I just want to know if there's any red flags on this software. the link to it is here: http://www.antimalwaremac.com

    1. This procedure is a diagnostic test. It changes nothing, for better or worse, and therefore will not, in itself, solve the problem.
    2. If you don't already have a current backup, back up all data before doing anything else. The backup is necessary on general principle, not because of anything in the test procedure. There are ways to back up a computer that isn't fully functional. Ask if you need guidance.
    3. Below are instructions to run a UNIX shell script, a type of program. All it does is to collect information about the state of the computer. That information goes nowhere unless you choose to share it. However, you should be cautious about running any kind of program (not just a shell script) at the request of a stranger on a public message board. If you have doubts, search this site for other discussions in which this procedure has been followed without any report of ill effects. If you can't satisfy yourself that the instructions are safe, don't follow them. Ask for other options.
    Here's a summary of what you need to do, if you choose to proceed: Copy a line of text from this web page into the window of another application. Wait for the script to run. It usually takes a few minutes. Then paste the results, which will have been copied automatically, back into a reply on this page. The sequence is: copy, paste, wait, paste again. Details follow.
    4. You may have started the computer in "safe" mode. Preferably, these steps should be taken in “normal” mode. If the system is now in safe mode and works well enough in normal mode to run the test, restart as usual. If you can only test in safe mode, do that.
    5. If you have more than one user, and the one affected by the problem is not an administrator, then please run the test twice: once while logged in as the affected user, and once as an administrator. The results may be different. The user that is created automatically on a new computer when you start it for the first time is an administrator. If you can't log in as an administrator, test as the affected user. Most personal Macs have only one user, and in that case this section doesn’t apply. Don't log in as root.
    6. The script is a single long line, all of which must be selected. You can accomplish this easily by triple-clicking anywhere in the line. The whole line will highlight, though you may not see all of it in the browser window, and you can then copy it. If you try to select the line by dragging across the part you can see, you won't get all of it.
    Triple-click anywhere in the line of text below on this page to select it:

    exec bash
    and press return. Then paste the script again.
    9. If you're logged in as an administrator, you'll be prompted for your login password. Nothing will be displayed when you type it. You will not see the usual dots in place of typed characters. Make sure caps lock is off. Type carefully and then press return. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. If you make three failed attempts to enter the password, the test will run anyway, but it will produce less information. In most cases, the difference is not important. If you don't know the password, or if you prefer not to enter it, press the key combination control-C or just press return three times at the password prompt. Again, the script will still run.
    If you're not logged in as an administrator, you won't be prompted for a password. The test will still run. It just won't do anything that requires administrator privileges.
    10. The test may take a few minutes to run, depending on how many files you have and the speed of the computer. A computer that's abnormally slow may take longer to run the test. While it's running, there will be nothing in the Terminal window and no indication of progress. Wait for the line
    [Process completed]
    to appear. If you don't see it within half an hour or so, the test probably won't complete in a reasonable time. In that case, close the Terminal window and report the results. No harm will be done.
    11. When the test is complete, quit Terminal. The results will have been copied to the Clipboard automatically. They are not shown in the Terminal window. Please don't copy anything from there. All you have to do is start a reply to this comment and then paste by pressing command-V again.
    If any private information, such as your name or email address, appears in the results, anonymize it before posting. Usually that won't be necessary.
    12. When you post the results, you might see the message, "You have included content in your post that is not permitted." It means that the forum software has misidentified something in the post as a violation of the rules. If that happens, please post the test results on Pastebin, then post a link here to the page you created.
    Note: This is a public forum, and others may give you advice based on the results of the test. They speak only for themselves, and I don't necessarily agree with them.

  • HT1933 I don't see the problem menu I just keep getting this article link when I click "report a problem" next to the offending item in itunes purchase history. What gives?!

    When I try to report a problem on one of my purchase videos, I keep getting this link: http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/#video_purchases
    The article says I should see problem menu from which to choose my specific issue, but that is not happening.
    I'm stuck in a loop of bad service, what's up?

    You're right that the documentation says "for best results select the entire eye, not just the pupil". And then it goes on to talk about pupil size. The point I'm making is (1) you don't get "better" results ... you get an error if you just select the pupil; and (2) software systems that are smart enough to detect a user error and simply "beep" and "beep" could and should in fact be smart enough to offer some sort of unobtrusive help message. The red-eye tool worked fine, I'm commenting on Adobe's not-very-useful error beep. I read the instructions several times, but I missed the point. When I used the tool, the default (?) shape of the tool was, well circular ... like a pupil. It seemed very natural to orient this circle with the pupil of the eye. Not a big deal...just a suggestion for a human factors improvement.

  • Seeing a problem adding two numbers together (or I've lost my mind)

    I have a resource adapter that provides support for an implementation of the (RDP) Reliable Datagram Protocol (RFC 908/1151) that I wrote. I'm having a problem when this is deployed to a SunFire V480 with 4 CPUs running Glassfish 9.1u2 with JDK 1.6.0_05.
    Basically what I am seeing is that when I add 1 to a number sometimes it works and sometimes it does not. So I am losing my mind and I am hoping someone here can help me see the errors in my ways.
    The protocol uses sequence numbers similar to TCP. So in my code, when I receive a RDP message it need to check to see that the sequence number matches what is expected. Basically an instance of a class that represents a connection maintains the last sequence number seen and the message coming in had better have this sequence number plus 1.
    Here is the code that I'm having a problem with:
    +if (__LOGPROTO.isLoggable(Level.FINER)) {+
    __LOGPROTO.finer("receiveMessage inmsg.seq = " inmsg.getSequenceNumber() + " __rcvcur = " + __rcvcur + " SEQ_PLUS = " + SEQ_PLUS(__rcvcur, 1) + "this = " + this);+
    +}+
    +if (inmsg.getSequenceNumber() == SEQ_PLUS(__rcvcur, 1)) {+
    +if (inmsg.getDataLength() > 0) {+
    +// Save the data+
    ackMsg = new RDPAckMessage(inmsg);
    __rcvdList.add(ackMsg);
    +if (__LOGPROTO.isLoggable(Level.FINER)) {+
    __LOGPROTO.finer("receiveMessage message queued to user " this);+
    +}+
    notifyReceivable = true;
    +// Signal that there is data available+
    __signal.setValue(true);
    +}+
    __rcvcur = inmsg.getSequenceNumber();
    +// Now see if we have any out of order segments that can+
    +// be queued to the user+
    for (i = 0; i < __rcvrcvdseqno.length; i+) {+
    +if (__rcvrcvdseqno != null) {+
    if (__rcvrcvdseqno != null && SEQ_EQ(__rcvrcvdseqno.getSequenceNumber(),
    +SEQ_PLUS(__rcvcur, 1))) {+
    +__rcvcur = __rcvrcvdseqno] 0) {+
    +// Move over to the received list+
    ackMsg = new RDPAckMessage(__rcvrcvdseqno);
    +if (__LOGPROTO.isLoggable(Level.FINER)) {+
    __LOGPROTO.finer("receiveMessage ood message queued to user " this);+
    +}+
    __rcvdList.add(ackMsg);
    notifyReceivable = true;
    +// Signal that there is data available+
    __signal.setValue(true);
    +}+
    __rcvrcvdseqno = null;
    +}+
    +}+
    +}+
    +} else {+
    +if (__LOGPROTO.isLoggable(Level.FINER)) {+
    __LOGPROTO.finer("xxx receiveMessage inmsg.seq = " inmsg.getSequenceNumber() + " __rcvcur = " + __rcvcur + " SEQ_PLUS = " + SEQ_PLUS(__rcvcur, 1) + "this = " + this);+
    +}+
    I have a couple of log messages that I put in to help try to figure out what in the heck is going on. The first prints out the message sequence number, the last sequence number that was known (__rcvcur), and the result of a method called SEQ_PLUS which passes in "__rcvcur" and '1".
    Here is the SEQ_PLUS code:
    +private long SEQ_PLUS(+
    +long x,+
    +long y) {+
    +long z = (x + y) % 0x100000000L;+
    +return z;+
    +}+
    Basically what I am seeing is that SEQ_PLUS is correctly adding 1 to "__rcvcur" on one call and then not adding 1 in the next.
    Here is the log messages that occur. Note that "this" is the same in all of the log messages, that the thread is the same in all log messages, but in one instance SEQ_PLUS works and another it does not.

    I am at a loss as to how this could occur. I'm hoping some bright mind can see what I cannot.
    Any help will be greatly appreciated.
    Brett

    Actually the nested code in the follow up is a SCCE:
                                if (__LOGPROTO.isLoggable(Level.FINER)) {
                                    __LOGPROTO.finer("xxx receiveMessage inmsg.seq = " + inmsg.getSequenceNumber() + " __rcvcur = " + __rcvcur + " SEQ_PLUS = " + SEQ_PLUS(__rcvcur, 1L) + "this = " + this);
                                    long x = __rcvcur;
                                    long y = 1;
                                    long z = (x + y) % 0x100000000L;
                                    __LOGPROTO.finer("xxx x is " + x + " y is " + y + " z is " + z);
                                }There is nothing in this snippet that should allow "y" to be anything other than the value '1" which it is initialized to, no matter how many threads, cpu's, etc there may be since "x, y, and z" are stack local variables and "y' is never assigned to after it is initialized. The output of the log message shows however that sometimes it is different:

  • (re-post) plugins on Vista - any developers seeing new problems, workarounds?

    I asked about this a while back but received no replies:
    With the arrival of the WOW that is Vista, has anyone noticed new support issues? From my own suite of (open source) plugins, I receive zero support contacts from MacOS or XP users, but as soon as Vista arrived I began to hear about two problems:
    * "plugin entry point could not be found" (apparently helped by restarting Windows and reinstalling the plugin)
    * a higher incidence of out of RAM errors.
    Has anyone else seen these issues? Are there any workarounds? Is anyone doing special Vista builds of their DLLs? If so, what's different?
    I hope that "commercial secrecy" doesn't prevent a discussion of this issue.

    The main thing I'm seeing is installation issues, new problems in two
    areas.
    1) registry entries not being written - this affects some systems, and not
    others. The user is able to fix this by running a .reg file that I send
    them.
    2) In some cases, the installer is unable to copy to Photoshop's plugin
    folder. This seems to affect some systems all the time, others not at all.
    The user is able to fix this by manually copying.

    Aamir, you asked this same question in the thread below, and I provided an answer.

  • SLD error - Please see my problem letter by letter.

    HI Masters,
    before see this error , first of all read my doubt line by line. then only You can understand.
    I have three doubts.
    first one is :
    when i am login to http://hostname:portno/sld browser , it showing error message in red color. Please check it .
    1) You do not have permission to view to SLD. Min required : UME role with permission com.sap.lcr.lcruser and j2ee role lcruser.see the sld post-installtion guide for details.
    2) SLD not configured. Configure SLD in Adminsitration First.
    It showing these above  two error messages.
    in go.bat file  after click on cim client test , i click on trigger sld data transfer, it showing error message.
    OPERATION FAILED ! FAILED TO COLLECT DATA . THERE IS NO PROCESS TO READ DATA  WRITTEN TO A PIPE..
    perform standard user group  to role assignment also failed.
    Second one is :
    I log in to go.bat file and gave correct host name , port no, userid- SLDDSUSER and password in area of cim client test and http settings tab:
    after then when i click on CIM CLIENT test . The test conection is failed.
    But with j2ee_admin user id in http setting tab and cim client test tab , then click on cim client test.
    the test is succeed.
    my doubt is generally by using user id - slddsuser in cimclient test and http settings tabs , even then also cim client test will succeed. but in my case with only j2ee_admin user id, only then cim client test is succeed.
    why it's happend with only j2ee_admin user only cim client test is succeed. why this one not succeed with SLDDSUSER.
    , i click on trigger sld data transfer, it showing error message.
    OPERATION FAILED ! FAILED TO COLLECT DATA . THERE IS NO PROCESS TO READ DATA  WRITTEN TO A PIPE..
    perform standard user group  to role assignment also failed.
    THIRD DOUBT IS :
    I am not finding the roles and users related to SLD and NWDI.
    Please give reply . reply will highly appreciated .

    Hi
    Please check documentation at System Landscape Directory (SLD) in particular the SLD Post Installation Guide
    chapter "Configuring SLD Security Roles"
    The SLD users may not be delivered with default authorizations - customers have to select the appropriate or as required roles
    Best regards
    Stuart
