See past days activity on Health app?

On the new Health app in ios8 how can I see the activity or steps for past days?  Thanks

Hello victormiguel,
When comparing the iPhone models, the difference is that the iPhone 5c does not have a motion coprocessor. That is what tracks your steps and any other motion that is recorded. To answer your question, the iPhone 5c will not track that information without the assistance of other devices that would then sync up with the Health app.

  • Viewing past days in the Health app?

I like to check how many steps I take each day, but if I forget to check before midnight, I lose that data. I can't figure a way to go back and read previous day's step totals. It's so frustrating. I can see weekly averages, which I don't care about. Why isn't there a simple calendar view where you can select any day and see that day's total information? Does that just make too much sense? So if I forget to check on a given day, that information is gone forever.

If you set up renditions properly, only one rendition should appear in the library. In the set of renditions, make sure that the Folio Name, Publication Date, and Product ID values are identical. In a public Newsstand app, publish the folios around the same time, and when they're done, send the push notification.

  • Fitbit Activity to Health App Successfully Working

I was able to get my Fitbit activity (total steps, total floors climbed, total distance walked, total calories burned, sleep, and weight). You will need to install the Jawbone Up app (purple icon) and the IFTTT app. Create accounts in both apps. Log into the Up app and have the app send info to the Health app. Log into the IFTTT app and add the Fitbit and Up Channels. Add the Log Fitbit Activities to Jawbone Up, Fitbit Sleep to Jawbone Up, and Log Fitbit Weight to Jawbone Up recipes (the will be under the Fitbit Channel and the icon with have the Fitbit logo on the left and the Up icon on the right). You will get a notification on your phone from the IFTTT app when the recipe runs.
    Hope this helps everyone.

HI, I'll see. There is also other app called SYnc solver for Fitbit. but I'd like something free because if Fitbit deny the access to data by third party app these app stop working.

  • I do not see glucose monitoring option in health app !!!!!

I have been adding values of my daily blood glucose but suddenly all the data disappeared and now I do not even an option of Blood Glucose in the Health app. What is happening?

This was a sceduled Support call from Apple Support. There has been an ongoing issue with MAIL since I upgraded to Mavericks OSX in February 2014. Since that time I have contacted apple support at least 6 times each time they run me through several problem solving processes. The program will work  for few days correctly, then revert right back to the same issue. That issue being that I can send mail fine, but getting logged in and receiving incoming mail can be very dicey and a long drawn out process at times. I sometimes have to open and close MAIL three or four times to get connected to the imap account. Sometimes it just hangs completely in mid download and I have to force quit and restart. I have Mail set to update automatically which it will not do I have to Manually get new mail every time. I have rebuilt the mailbox at least 4 times. I have completely deleted the account at least 5 times and started over This latest support call once again informed me that my free support time was out (of course) and that I had used all exceptions available for this issue??? All that being said I have included here the follow up email that was sent to me by the tech after we spoke on the phone. Her explanation to me was that there was a MAIL update that came out after my last call to apple support dated November 6th which suposedly would address the issues I am having with MAIL.

  • How can I see the exact step count from previous days in the Health app?

I know I can select the "week" or "month" tab to get a general idea of how many steps I have taken in previous days, but I can't find any way to actually get the exact number of steps logged for previous days.  Is there a way???

    Yes, you can ..

  • Health app and restarting day

so i get up pretty early every day, 4am. my health app doesn't seem
to restart the day. when I open my health app in the morning it gives me all of my data from yesterday.
how many steps I walked, etc. but doesn't show any of today's data? I noticed this happening yesterday too, but
i updated the iOS and the day reset and started recording my steps. Is there a certain time the day restarts?
I would assume it should be 12am, but that doesn't seem to be the case.
I haven't had this issue before, any tips or suggestions as to why this is happening?

    Keith,
Thanks for the quick response...  It wasn't clear (since I got here from the Support page) that this wasn't Apple.  Will take your suggestion and see if I can find the appropriate area through the link you provided...

  • Health app not showing steps and calories

It's about 5 days that the health app is not showing steps, calories and other data which was showing before. I have added two data source to provide data for health App and both them are provideding data.

I take it you have already gone into the Health app and set up your Medical ID card, correct?
The Medical ID card will show up on the Lock Screen password entry screen when Emergency option on the bottom left-hand side of the screen is clicked.
It does not show up anywhere if you do not have a passcode lock on the screen.

  • Health app not working on the right day ...

    Hi everyone.
I follow my physical activity everyday with the Apple Health app and this morning, while I was walking, the app started to work on another day.
I began my physical activity recording on the 12th of november and since about 10 a.m, I'm now recording on the 13th.
The date is correctly set on my iPhone so I don't really get what's going on here ...
    Could anyone help me?
    Thanks a lot.
    Regards.

on set-up (in the UK) I had to wait until WhattsApp gave me an activation code by sms, is it the same with you?

  • Hardware to get activity data into health app

I Have an iPhone 5 and I want to get activity data into the health app. I have been using the fitbit app and a fitbit one device but fitbit have their head in the sand and are not going to develop this functionality.
i Am therefore looking for a replacement activity tracker.
what devices will port data into the health app

It's pretty nice. I'm not especially crazy about the app but it gets the job done. Garmin is apparently releasing an updated version soonish. Check out DC Rainmaker's blog for reviews:

  • Health App Stats Resetting Each Day

I got the iPhone 6 the day it was released.  I immediately started using the new Health app.  I added the basics, birthday, age, sex, weight, and I added the "Steps" and "Walking + Running Distance" to the dashbaord.  I notice they automatically started tracking my steps.  So I went for a jog, it tracked that also.  Awesome, so far so good.  But the next day it was all gone.  It doesn't matter if I select "Day / Week / Month / Year" at the top top, the stats are always the same, the only show the current day.  I've checked each day since I've got the phone, each day it seems to start over.  Why is all the previous data disappearing?  Thanks!

  • Step recording in health app

How can automatic recording in the Health App be switched off. Airplane mode does not switch it off. There seems no option in privacy Setting. Removing the Data from Dashboard does not work either.
The reason I want to switch it off is conservation of battery power. I use the iPhone GPS for long backcountry hiking trips. In the past I switched to airplane mode. That gave me enough power to use my GPS for 10 days on a single charge. I found this preserves battery power better than switching the phone off and on: Typically I would use the GPS to verify my position perhaps twice s day or every 10 miles.

    Hi Jzuend,
I see you have questions about turning off reporting in the Health app. Here is an article for you that should be able to explain this:
Collect health and fitness data - iPhone
    http://help.apple.com/iphone/8/#/iphbb8259c61
Stop app data collection. Tap Sources at the bottom of the Health screen, then select the app in the Apps list. Or tap the associated parameter in your Dashboard or in the Health Data list, tap Share Data, then choose the app under Data Sources.
Take care, and thanks for visiting the Apple Support Communities.

  • HT203037 Health app not retaining Add Steps data

I'm looking forward to using the Apple Watch to track my activity when I get it.  In the meantime, I've been manually entering my step activity in the Health app manually.  Unfortunately, more often than not, even if it seems to initially accept the Add Data entry, after a few hours it usually stops including the manual entry in the total displayed for the day, even though pouring back through the data shows the manual entry is still there.
I've tried deleting the manual entry and re-entering it with a different time to see if that matters, but it generally doesn't help.  It's unreliable enough for me to forego manually adding data entries for my elliptical step data, for now.  Unless someone can explain/sleuth out the logic necessary for the data to be accepted as legitimate and incorporated into the daily step total.
    Any ideas?

Thanks for the feedback.  I'll give the decimal thingy a try, although I'm not sure why that might work (a fraction of a step???).  I'm just trying to find out if others are experiencing this weird issue with the Steps data set.  The manual entries continue to remain in the data set after entry, they just stop being incorporated into the displayed totals/graph.
I also note that it takes a full minute, or so, for all the data in the set to be displayed when you want to edit it.  I discovered this when I saw that my manual entry wasn't being included in the totals graph and wanted to check if my entry was still there.  It was.  So, I then deleted it and re-entered the amount with a different entry time.  That sometime worked and sometime not.  I just didn't want to leave the old non-included entry in the data set, once I got a new entry that worked.
It's nice to know the issue isn't only affecting me.  Maybe Apple will now take a look and see what's the matter.

  • Health app not recognizing manual inputs

    Hi,
I've been using the Health app on my iPhone to track the number of steps I take each day (trying to do a minimum 10,000 per day as recommended by health professionals).
This morning I didn't take my phone with me when walking the dog, so manually entered an estimate of the number steps.  Once I click on OK, it updated the number of steps.
Later this morning, I noticed that the manually added steps are no longer being added to the total steps.  Checked that the data entry point was there and it was.  Deleted the data, and re-added it but made no difference - still not included.  I even turned the iPhone off and back on to see if that would make a difference.
Why is the Health app now acting this way?  I've added manual data in the past and it's been OK.

  • How to delete duplicate datasets in iOS health app?

I synchronize my POLAR activity tracker with my iPhone to collect and visualize the number of steps in the Health app. In most cases it works perfect, but sometimes the data are completely to high. So I have days with more than 600.000 steps, but the list of data points shows thousends of duplicate entries.
Is there an easy way to remove the duplicate data?

    Hi Tidbits,
I ended up going to Best Buy, where I got my LG G3 Verizon phone. The Tech tried everything to correct the duplication, but could not find how to do it. He deleted everything, and went back to factory settings. Darn if the duplicates didn't come back.
He went to my Verizon account, and went to the Verizon Cloud. Clicked on Contacts, and there were all the duplicate contacts. He deleted the duplications, leaving the original for each contact. BINGO the problem was solved.
I am using the Standard Messaging instead of Verizon messaging Plus. The Tech said that if I had been using Using Verizon Messaging Plus this may not of happened. I just down want the added cost of Messaging Plus.
    Thanks for the response.

  • The Health app.

    Hi all,
I've started to use the iOS 8 from the GM version but the main problem still is.
    1. How can I turn of the steps counter? Is it possible?
    2. I can see number of steps I've done today, daily average, but I can't see the steps I've done in particular day. How to see number of steps two days ago(for example)?

    1. As I found out it's impossible. So the best way is put up with it.
    2. It's impossible in Health App too. But as ours steps are counting every day anyway, we can download any walking app, use m7 processor, and see steps count whenever we need. For example I've chosen Walker M7.
