Hi Experts,
I am doing quite a few scenarios reagrding Seeburger Adapters but I am very new to it. I tried searching the Net but could not get satisfying blogs regarding it for a noviced person.

To import the Seeburger adapters, follow the instructions in the Master Installation guide and the individual guides for each of the adapters. These are available with the Seeburger software downloads.
Regarding the MDM adapter, this is the wrong forum for that question. Try the MDM forum (but first, try searching the forum as this is a very basic question).

BIC is mapping tool which converts EDIFACT to EDI_XML.
You will be accepting EDI flat file i.e. csv file and using BIC you will map it 1:1 mapping ....this flat file will be converted into EDI_XML after mapping.

EDI SEEBurger Adapter

We are evaluating XI for ANSI X12 EDI , Have some EDI Quesitions using SEEBurger Adapter.
1) Does SEEBurger Adpater has ANSI X12 Enveloping and De-Enveloping capabilities ??? If Yes,how this is configured /Developed.
2) Does SEEBurger Adapter has capability of generating sequential ISA control numbers by Trading Partner ??? If Yes,how this is configured /Developed.
3) Can It perform EDI Structure validation based on the EDI standard rules (For eg: Looping structures, Element qualifier restriction list .....)

Seeburger is a tool which will conver any type of standard EDI format into XML.
All standard EDi mappings are predefined in seburger,we have to install in XI Server and use that standard mappings.

Seeburger Adapter Module Error

I have a scenario orders idoc to x12,I have done bic maaping & deployed sda file to SDM.And the paramater i have defined at the adapter module

I think there is some problem in invoking the seeburger adapter. Have you installed the adapter? Also after installing you have to import the metadata. Check this document for further help:

Seeburger Adapter

Hi all,
I have installed a generic seeburger FTP adapter, but I dont have any VAN connectivity at present. Can I convert the EDI ANSI X12 format to xml with this installation or it requires VAN connectivity to do this.
In this case do we require the BIC mapper? if so how to work with BIC mapper?
In the communication channel, I am able to see the installed Seeburger FTP adapter but it does not show the transport and message protocol. Is this related to the Installation/setup of VAN connection.

You can find Generator Mappings as a ZIP file in the following location <BICMappingDesignerInstallationDirectory>\user\bicmd\Exchange and select the file prj_GeneratorMappings.zip.bicmd.
In MappingDesigner select File Import Generator Mappings Zip File prj_GeneratorMappings.zip.bicmd Clik on Add and OK.
Once Import is done you can see Generator Mappings in BIC Mapping Designer.

There are seeurger adapters, we can use , but we can use also with the file with seeburger modules also. Its all depends upon the what type of seeburger adapter was installed on your server and what are all the modules installed.

Diff between Seeburger Adapter and File Adapter

Hi All,
My company needs to interact with some banks and the banks are particular that they want SFTP, which is not supported by File Adapter, so we have decided to go with Seeburger adapter.
Now what are the differences between File adapter and seeburger adapter?
I believe that Seeburger adapter does not support File Content Conversion, Archiving etc.
Could you all pls put some light on the diff between file adapter and seeburger adapter when it comes to dealing with files?

The most direct way of using the Seeburger adaptors is to configure the BIC as a module. There is a software component from seeburger called bicmapper which will allow you to
1. Define or import the inbound message metadefinition in various formats ( edifact, xml,...)
2. Using a mapping create an xml variant as the output metadefinition or edifact in the other direction.
3. Create a one to one mapping between input en output.
4. Export the metadata in xsd or sda format for import in XI
5. Generate an SDA which can be deployed in XI and used as a module.

It is similar like other adapters once it is supplied. But take care about security/firewalls settings.

SeeBurger Adapter PostInstallation

Hi guys,
I'm back with another cool doubt...
We're using SeeBurger AS2 Adapter and we've followed every installation step described in the corresponding manuals.
I'd like to try a short example, sending a test message to a partner just to check if the installation is working properly. However, I've bumped at the point when I was creating the sender communication channel. When trying to select the AS2 Adapter, there's no signal of it. I can only get all the SAP BASIS Adapters (RFC, Idoc, etc...) list displayed, no signal of AS2.
So I thought, let me check if the corresponding SWCV is correctly installed.
After digging up on SLD I've found the corresponding:
     Installed Software Component AS2Adapter and
     Installed Support Package: AS2Adapter
However, there was something that caught my eye. They both have version '0'. That seemed a bit odd, since evey component has the corresponding version after the installation. Can any of you guys who worked with the Seeburger Adapter check if this setting is alright? Can you guys check your SLD SWCV?
If you think there's something missing and the SLD setting has nothing to do with it, please give me an idea....

Another Question:
The imported .tpz in the IntegrationRepository 'SEEBURGER_EDI_ADAPTER' responsible for the corresponding AS2 Adapter which I'm trying to use in the IntegrationDirectory corresponds to a Software Component Version with a key from the SLD where we can check the associated GUID.
Well, I was expecting to see this SWCV in the SLD, but nothing...I've searched all the generated GUIDS in the SLD from ContentMaintenance and there's not there...
Am I missing any activation?

          As far as the version is concerned it has nothing to do with the functioning of that particular SWC in SLD.....its not a mandatory requirement........u can simply import the SWCV in the
Integration Repository->Tools->Transfer from System Landscape Director->Import Software Component Versions... and carry on with your work...
No activation as such is needed.....
