As2 receiver channel, SEEBURGER AS2: 500 Internal Server Error

Hi,
There is one scenario in our landscape, its running in production, Proxy to As2. The interface working fine for last 2 weeks, today its showing error in As2 receiver channel saying
Message processing failed. Cause: javax.resource.ResourceException: Fatal exception: javax.resource.ResourceException: SEEBURGER AS2: 500 Internal Server Error # , SEEBURGER AS2: 500 Internal Server Error #
I have searched in forum, but couldnt get much idea on why this error encounters and how can we resolve it.
Kindly provide your inputs to help me resolve this.

Hi Ruchi,
500 means the requested server does not understand the request (the requested service is unknown). The reason is obvisiously outside of PI. You have to contact the 3rd party owner and ask why the system is refusing the request instead of responsing like before.

Dynamic filename creation with Seeburger's SFTP adapter

Hi Experts,
I read in one of the forum that Seeburger's SFTP adapter supports dynamic configuration.
My requirement is i need to dynamically create a file name and put it into a predefined folder(of a third party system) with SFTP adapter.

How to get seeburger work bench counter value

hi all,
i want to get the current counter value in the seeburger workbech counter.
i used the following function suggested in one of the threads in forum, but its giving the below error

i guess this above function is to get variable value and not counter value. can any body give me code to get counter value.

To import the Seeburger adapters, follow the instructions in the Master Installation guide and the individual guides for each of the adapters. These are available with the Seeburger software downloads.
Regarding the MDM adapter, this is the wrong forum for that question. Try the MDM forum (but first, try searching the forum as this is a very basic question).

How to Test Seeburger AS/2

Dear Forum Members
I am new to the topic of Seeburger AS/2 connection to SAP XI.
In our scenario, sender partners would send an EDIFACT file towards the
Seeburger of our XI system and vice versa.
In our upcoming Test Phase, it will be required to test the Seeburger adapter
with sending messages to it. Since we dont want to involve the intended sender partner at this stage, I would like to know how I can send a test message into the Seeburger adapter via AS/2? Which tool do I need?

As for the PI/XI sending option, we basically should send test messages to ourselves as I understand it correctly.
In my investigation in found a client software called: M E C AS/2 under

Building own schemas in Seeburger bic mapper

I'm consulting for Utilities industry and looks like Seeburger does not have custom schemas for this industry type. Using standalone software bic converter and mapping designer, is it possible to
1. build custom schemas from standard EDI X12.
2. and once I build custom schema, would this be saved as xsd?
3. can this xsd be used to convert / map to an IDoc (xsd) using bic mapping designer.
4. does this come with Seeburger adapter cd or a separate cd (free / with cost)?
5. Finally, its latest version number?
I know I have several questions. Please let me know...I will reward them handsomely

1. build custom schemas from standard EDI X12.
Yes you can build custome schamas as per EDI Industry standards. Also we can have the pre standard schemas after installing the seeburger on server.
Also you can get exact manuals from the server/vendor.
2. and once I build custom schema, would this be saved as xsd?
Yes you can use it.

See in general ,BIC / some edi converter can be used to generate the xsd.And also you can map the BIC mapper , if you use then you have to configure the eeburger adapter with bic modules.

I hope Yes. you can have , but some cost.

The SEEBURGER FTP/VAN Adapter is responsible for transmitting files according to the File Transfer Protocol, with the particular support of various VANs. This protocol was installed as a user gateway protocol by several of the largest VAN providers, such as IBM, GE and Sterling IIB and Sterling Commerce.
The FTP/VAN adapter must be configured in the configuration part of the Integration Builder. The adapter is based on the Adapter Framework and is executed by the SAP J2EE Adapter Engine.
The FTP/VAN Adapter supports the following protocols:
IBMIE VAN, all report options.
GEIS (GeMarkIII) and GeMark3000, all report options, report file is only extracted, if needed.
EXITE (ECODEX), EDIFACT file processing, DISPATCHED reports.
Sterling Commerce and Sterling IIB.
MCI EDI*Net.
The following FTP options are supported:

SEEBURGER BIC

Hi All,
I have a question regarding Seeburger BIC, I have read thru one of the Blogs (/people/bla.suranyi/blog/2006/06/08/sap-xi-supports-edifact) which tells that Native EDIFACT is converted into XML EDIFACT and the actual mapping is done in SAP XI. When Seeburger BIC has the capability of coversion from ANY to ANY format why it is preffered to do the mapping in SAP XI.
Can anybody explain what are the pros and cons of using Seeburger BIC for any to any conversion.

I feel SAP XI is a middleware tool and doesn't have the capabilities for the EDI Mapping
Without Seeburger there is a possibility for developing of adapter or adapter module for this conversion. Seeburger however provides many other functionalities like monitoring and supporting various protocols.
mapping in SEEBURGER would be lot more easier in SEEBURGER when compared to SAP XI.
This is possible. It is not mandatory to use Seeburger with XI. However when you post question in XI forum you will get replies related to Seeburger linked with XI only
There is a conversion engine present if you purchase Seeburger alone and have no XI associated with it. The problem here is seeburger can change the structure of message but does not have vast support of adapters as XI does. Therefore Seeburger with XI provides the best solution. My client is going to implement EDI messages to SAP XI to SAP ERP .It would be great if you let me know the step by step proceedure ??

So this means your customer has purchased a Seeburger adapterlicense which will come with documentation for PI. Use that as first entry point. Such a general question you can not handle well in forum answer.
General first hints:
Seeburger delivers an EDI-adapter which will be deployed into PI. This adapter contains functionality to map between XML and EDIfact format. It also contains (normally) some standard mappings (e.g. for invoice). But be VERY careful with these standard mappings. Not all of them can be used without change. Make detailed tests and do not rely on them.
The BIC mapping designer is not used in PI, but you can see it as a kind of external development or debugging tool in case of problems. You will surely use it, because there are many pitfalls regarding EDIFact and XML/PI. The topic is quite complex.

Seeburger AS2 - connectivity

Hello,
is it possible to have one single certificate for both AS2 and SSL, using HTTPS protocol.
if yes should we upload the certificates twice (AS2 & SSL)?
Also when we sent some messages via AS2, the seeburger AS2 server seems to be closing the connection abruptly. are there any logs generated on the seeburger side in order to check what actually happened?
