Seeing photo stream on my pc

How can you see your photos on a pc so you know they were saved in the cloud?

Download the iCloud control panel from Apple, at this link: http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/pc.html
Then go into the iCloud settings on the control panel, check off "Photostream", and then click "Options" on the right of Photostream. From there you can choose what folder to save photostream images to on your computer, and that is where you can view them.
This article will help you do everything I just told you: http://www.gottabemobile.com/2011/10/12/icloud-photo-stream-on-windows-pc/

  • Anyone else seeing photo stream duplicate files?

I have numerous, maybe all, of the photos in my photo stream are duplicated.  One file name is upper case, then duplicated in lower case.  I revealed the photos in Finder, and you can see the duplicate photo example below.  On file is IMG_1072.JPG and the other is img_1072.jpg.  The timestamp of the files are hours apart.
    Anyone else experiencing this anomaly?

You can see from the info screen shot below that one file is 2.2 MB and the other is 4.1 MB.   I did a web search for photo stream duplicate issues, and did not find one thread regarding this!  I don't know what is causing the duplicates yet, but I have my suspicions.  Here are three things that have changed recently which may be related to the problem:
    1. I installed Aperture, which shares the same library as iPhoto.
    2. I recently began sharing my photo stream, but I'm not sure if the dups occurred before or after that.
    3. I created an Image Capture plugin which copies image files from my iPhone to a directory, changes file names to lower case, uses ImageMagick to add a small date stamp, etc.  But I haven't even run this workflow on the two files listed below yet.
    So, I'm still investigating...

  • I do not see photo stream on ipad

I am attempting to get photo stream on my ipad; however, the option is not available under icloud. Please help.

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
    photo stream isn't a feature of iCloud.com.

  • HT4858 i do not see photo stream in my account

My photos are not saving to my icloud account.  Can you please help with this issue?

My settings are turned on. I am wondering is it because I  do not have the updated software needed for my iPhone due to limited amount of space. I got all the other icons but no icon for photo stream and my pictures are not transferring over to my new iPad.

  • TS3989 I cannot see photo steam on icloud and I can't find a folder for photo stream on my pc

I cannot see photo stream on my icloud and I can't find a folder on my pc for photo stream as well.  What is the problem?

For me the folder was generated automatically:
My Pictures > Photo Stream > My Photo Stream

  • Before 8.3 update when I saved photos they were added to my camera roll. Then I could access the photo I wanted from any app. Now when I SAVE a photo it is not added to the camera roll at all. iCloud photo is on. AND my Photo Stream is GONE entirely.

Hi all.  Since updating my iphone 6 a couple days ago, I have discovered awful glitches in photos. When I save photos they do not get added to my camera roll. My Camera Roll and Photo Stream used to match.  I would take a photo on the camera and I would see it on my photo stream.  Yesterday, I added an edited photo to my camera roll by saving it (I thought).  But it was not there.  In the past, if I wanted a photo to post in any app, from Twitter to Facebook to Yelp, in order to retrieve it easily (if I had a lot of photos on my phone) I would sometimes text it to myself and then save it. It would be added to my camera roll. Then, when any app asked me to upload a photo, I could find it right at the beginning of my camera roll photos.  Now, when I save a photo it does not appear on my camera roll.  I discovered this yesterday when posting a Yelp review.  I found the photo I wanted to use on my camera roll and it was way back at the beginning of the camera roll.  I edited the photo.  I saved it. It did not get added to my camera roll.  So then I looked for the photo on the camera roll where I had originally found it way back at the beginning.  The edited version of the photo was gone.  Could not find my photo to upload to Yelp.  Then I discovered it was the same with every other app on the phone.
PHOTO STREAM DISAPPEARED!   This was my main problem and primary question until I tried to resolve the issue. I saw a message on my phone that said (I thought) that I needed to connect my phone to my laptop to restore icloud backups.   So I manually connected my phone to my Mac Pro Laptop (2011)  and backed up my photos.  I made sure iCloud was turned on for photos.  I have it set to Download and Keep Originals.  It is also set to Upload to My Photo Stream. And iCloud sharing is turned on.
WHEN I connected my phone to my computer I got a message on my phone about setting it up for personal hotspot and it would not complete the update unless I replied.  At first i did set it up, but it seemed to be an issue, so I simply let my phone and computer use my home wifi network.  I don't need the personal hotspot, but it seemed to affect the photo issue further.
Now where I used to see Photo Stream and Camera Roll, it simply says All Photos.  I am extremely confused.  This is a mess.  Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

I restored it twice, once from icloud backup and then from my computer back up. I just restored again and set it up as a new iphone and now my photos are saving again. I was then able to sync apps and music from my itunes to my phone... So happy you wouldn't believe!!

  • Is there a difference between photo stream on iCloud and Photos that should be in iCloud drive.

I'm totally trying to wrap my brain around how iCloud drive should function. Perhaps I'm over complicating things. I see photo stream photos on iCloud - at least I think that's what they are. I'm thinking I should also see photos inside of iCloud drive as well as that is paid for and has more storage and photos don't disappear after 30 days.
Problem is I don't see photos in iCloud drive even though I have paid for it. I'm also really lost on how I would upload from iMac to the drive and then see on my device. What am I missing? I have tried to upload from iMac by dragging and dropping into a folder i created on the drive but they don't appear on my other devices.
Also how about other documents such as PDF files. Maybe I'm to used to drop box. I was thinking I could upload pdf files from my iMac and somehow open them on my devices but can't manage that either.
Additionally using Family Plan and have discovered (i think) that family shared photos are low resolution. Are these even printable?
Could someone please explain this to me like I'm a first grader. Not understanding at all.
    Thanks,
    Kristy

Guy would this be of any help:
To start up your computer in Apple Hardware Test:
Press the power button to turn on your computer.
Press and hold the D key before the gray startup screen appears. If Apple Hardware Test does not start up, see the Additional Information section at the end of this article.
Note: Some Macintosh computers that shipped with OS X Lion support the use of Apple Hardware Test over the Internet. These computers will start up to an Internet-based version of AHT if the hard drive does not contain AHT.  An Internet-enabled connection via Ethernet or Wi-Fi is required to use this feature.
It takes a minute or so for Apple Hardware Test to start up and inspect your hardware configuration. While this is taking place, an icon appears on the screen:
When the process is complete, select your language and click the right arrow. If you aren't using a mouse, you can use the up and down arrows to select a language and then press the Return key.
The Apple Hardware Test console appears. You can choose which sort of test or tests to perform:
To perform all of the basic tests, click the Test button or press the "T" key or the Return key.
To perform a more thorough diagnostic test, select the "Perform extended testing" checkbox under the Test button before you click the Test button.
Your test results will appear in the window in the bottom-right of the console.
To exit AHT, click Restart or Shut Down at the bottom of the window.

  • HT201317 How do I include all photos in photo stream on Apple TV?

I can only see photo stream photos as of march 19, but I have them from a year ago.  How do I get them to photo stream on my Apple TV?  They are on my iPad under photo stream

iCloud only keeps photos in your photo stream for 30 days, but they will remain on your iPad (up to 1000 photos) until you delete them.  I believe Apple TV will only display the photos that are still in your photo stream, not photos earlier than 30 days ago.
If the older photos are on your iPad, you could always open them on your iPad and use AirPlay to display them on your Apple TV.

  • Need help with Photo Stream

I am having issues with Photo Stream and iPhoto when the iPhoto library is stored on a Drobo NAS. When I access the library stored on the NAS I see Photo Stream on the menu and when I access the library I get a  message that tells me I need to switch Photo Stream to this Library. I did select to switch Photo Stream over to this NAS library and I did get a big blue button that is suppose to start Photo Stream but when I push it nothing happens.
I have contacted Apple support and they said that this is the way Photo Stream works and recommended that I submit a request to have this feature added at Apple\Feedback, if it is something I would like to have. They said if enough people request this feature they will add it but that Photo Stream does not currently support an iPhoto library stored on a remote NAS or shared network drive.
My question is has anyone found a work around for this?  If you would like to have this feature added to Photo Stream can you please submit your request to Apple so they will add it, perhaps a little sooner than later?

I checked today and this issue has been solved with the latest iPhoto update from Apple. I am running iPhoto 9.2.3 on my Snow Leopard Server which is sharing a Drobo NAS. I am also running iPhoto 9.2.3 on my MBP running Lion and I can now open my iPhoto Library and Photostream will work with the library and even automatically create events and move all my Photostream pictures into these events within the Library. I can then close the Library on my MBP and open the same Library from my Snow Leopard server and the new Events are there and I can move them around with no problem. Thank you Apple for this fix.   Even though I cannot deal with Photostream directly from the Snow Leopard server this is a very eligant work around.

  • Do pictures in photo stream have to be downloaded to my iphoto library?

When I look at my iPhoto Library I see photo stream broken down by month.  Do I need to download these pictures so that they show up in Events?

If you want your Photo Stream photos to be automatically imported into iPhoto you need to setup iPhoto's Photo Stream preferences as shown below:
If you're not setup that way now do so and then check after a bit to see how many of the PS photos have been added to your library.  Those that have not can be manually imported into the library by selecting them in the Photo Stream and dragging onto the Events icon in the left hand pane.

  • Photo Stream doesn't work on Windows 7 (64-bit)

I installed Photo Stream and it just doesn't work. Are there any additional steps I have to take? I see "Photo Stream" icon in "My Computer" but photos are not syncing. iOS 6.1.3, iPhone 4S.

If you are needing more drivers and Lenovo utilities I suggest you download and install ThinkVantage SystemUpdate.
Should you still be missing something after running it I suggest you post what you think is missing, or what you need, in order that other members can assist you.

  • Why aren't my photos shown in my cloud?  My photo stream is ON.

When I log into my Icloud account, my photos are not shown.  My contacts, mail, notes, etc are there.  My photo stream on my Iphone (my only Apple device) is turned ON.  Can you tell my why my photos are not shown in my cloud when I have them set to be saved in my cloud by having on my photo stream.

You can't see photo stream photos on icloud.com, you can only see them on an iOS device or computer that is signed into your account with photo stream enabled.  If you want to see your photos on the web, you'll have to create a shared stream with the public website option enabled (see http://help.apple.com/icloud/#/mmc0cd7e99).  This will give you a private url to view them from a computer browser.  You can invite others to view them as well as subscribing to the shared stream yourself.

  • Photo Stream missing from library

Photo stream used to be in my iPhoto library, but has disappeared. I can no longer see Photo Stream on my Mac, but I still see it on my iPhone.  Everything is checked that should be, what could be the problem?

I was able to solve this after a call to Apple support. They had me go to the system preferences and then to iCloud. I unchecked and then re-checked the photo stream dialog box. I double clicked on the "recent" in theleft hand pane of my iPhoto and it showed right up. I hope this will help anyone who had a similar problem.
