If i want to check the hardware's s/n and i only have a explorer file that generated from that machine. Is it possible to check it from the explorer? If yes, how to check it? Anyone can help me on this urgent matter?

The act of installing Explorer to that system puts you through a registration and configuration script that asks you many questions, including system serial number and contract number.
However those fields are not mandatory and can be skipped.
IF the data was correctly provided at time of installation...
The file (I vaguely remember) is saved to the Explorer directory on the system.
It should be in plain text.
... and questions specific to the usage and functionality of Explorer should be addressed to the Explorer support alias by email, not this end-user forum.

Hello there, i've bought the GUIDE TO ORACLE 9i and been told that i have to register to get a registration cd key in order to install the software kit to do the practicals in the book itself. However, i've registered through otn, and been told that "they have sent the registration key to the email i have given to them and it will arrive in a few minutes" but it's seem to be more than 5 days and i still couldn't get the cd key- means i can't install the software. I have somehow got green underline in text ads, pop up ads that come in from the sides of the screen and ads that pop up selling similar products all over the page wherever I go. Its getting worse and I have researched and researched to no avail. I am really hestitant to download any software to remove whatever it is that is causing this problem. How to remove Help - About - "Check for updates"

I need to disable completelly all update possibilities from Firefox 4 installation and this is still something that I have not been able to remove.
inside omni.jar I have found similar configuration files that have been working also in prevoius FF versions and have been able to remove update tab completelly from Tools - Options -> Advanced but I have not been able to remove this update button from FF.
I thought that I found correct file to change:
"omni.jar\chrome\browser\content\browser -> aboutdialog.xul" but modifying that does not affect at all to this About - check for updates button.
Any ideas? I have tried to check other files also for this, but have not yet found anything, unfortunately...

A possibility is to use CSS code in userChrome.css or create an extension that adds this code.

I thought that is what the big deal was that people did not know until they opened the box and started using the iPhone 5, that it not only worked with one carrier but several carriers. I did not say it will work with any carrier at one time. I was trying to find out the reason for this and why people were so surprised that the iPhone 5 had this function and the reason for it. As stated in my post, is it there so that after your contract is up and you want to go to another carrier you do not have to purchase a new iPhone, you cna purchase a SIM card that works with your new carrier.
The Otterbox Defender has a tendency to let too much dirt, dust, etc. in the cracks on the case. At least this has been my expereince. I was thinking something more along some of the really durable cases at BallisticCaseCo.com
As far as the iPhone 5 having issues, I have heard that there were more than usual with the first couple of manufactured batches that were shipped. For example the Map App by Apple, the scratches on the backside of hundreds of iPhones, etc. I am hoping these will get to be less and less, but with the recent riot at the one plant in China where the iPhone 5 is assembled is supposed to increase the waiting time.

before selling i took backup of contacts from backup restore option in application section
now i bought a N8 but i m not able to restore my contacts
1. is there any way to restore them in N8?
2. if not, can i convert them in TEXT or any readable format

The backup procedures built into the phone are only designed for restoring to the same phone (ie: in case or data corruption, software update or repair etc.), they can't usually be used to restore to a phone with a different operating system.
You should have backed up with Ovi Suite before selling the N900, that would have been able to restore to the N8.

Need Urgent Help With Getting Intl Service from Bangkok

Before I arrived in Bangkok, I spoke with Verizon CS from the US because I needed Intl Service on my Iphone 4. My boyfriend has an Iphone 5 and was able to add a calling plan in 5 minutes of calling Verizon CS. I then called Verizon CS, and was told that my Iphone 4 cannot be used in Thailand. I told the CS Rep that my boyfriend just added the service on his Iphone 5, and did the same on a trip to Thailand last year with an Iphone 4. She told me that with an Iphone 5 he also cannot use the service in Thailand without a Sim Card or Global Phone? I then put him on the phone with her, and they spoke for ten minutes about this before my plane departed.
I have been in Bangkok since 04MAR14 trying to reach Verizon by web, Instant Chat, phone, and even called Verizon 611 from my boyfriend's handset. he call Failed! He then gave me this number to call Verizon Global Support: 908-559-4899. I have called this number numerous times from the hotel. The recording does not recognize when I "Press 1" or "Press 2", and proceeded to hang up on me several times. Is there no human at Verizon that help me????? I have spent approx 3 hours now trying to contact Verizon since 04MAR14. I am supposed to be enjoying my vacation here. Can someone please address these questions immediately?
1. Am I currently being charged to use WIFI in Thailand?
2. I transited Tokyo on 03MAR, and tried to call Verizon Support from my Handset, which Failed. Am I being charged for that?
3. What message do my contacts receive when they text me in the US?
4. Can I activate message response to contacts in the US now telling them that I am out of the country until the evening of 11MAR14?
Please help me, I am extremely frustrated, as I desparately want Phone service here in Thailand, and I am transiting back to Tokyo on 10MAR14, arriving there at 245pm, and I will need Phone service there as well.

I'm so sorry you haven't been able to get any service while traveling NancyStuckInThaiWithNoService, as well as for not being able to get a hold of anyone to assist you. I'm happy to answer your questions here. As you mentioned, the iPhone 4 is not a Global phone. Therefore, you can only use on a CDMA network, (not GSM). Thailand is GSM/Global, Japan/Tokyo is CDMA; therefore, you can use phone there. (It could be settings were not set correctly to use in Tokyo.
1. If you're using WiFi, there is no charge. Its best to turn Mobile Data off in Settings to avoid any International charges.
2. Japan/Tokyo calls are $1.99/minute. However, if trying to reach Global Support, you will not be charged.
3. Your contacts don't receive any notification when they text you. They may get some alert days later, that the message was not received by you/ or it has been timed out, but it won't say why.
4. If you're able to use another phone, and call your mobile number, you can press # when you hear your voice mail greeting, enter password, then # again, to change personal greeting. You're able to update greeting with notification that you're traveling.
** When back in Tokyo, you can go to Settings & make sure Airplane Mode is OFF. Also, you can go to General, (from Settings),> Network> Cellular Data- ON> Data Roaming- ON.***

Help! Check data in MS Excel file(JDBC-ODBC)

I wrote a program that can check data in MS Excel file.
User can input a sentence like "1->2" ,"1->3" (one determine one), then the program can find the data which violate the integrity constrains(functional dependency).For example, if we have the functional dependency "TSeq_gi->TSeq_accver", the program looks for two or more tuples with the same "TSeq_gi" value but the different "TSeq_accver" value in Excel file. These tuples violate the integrity constraint. But now,I can't figure out how to modify this program to multiple determine one. (like 1 3->5 or 1 3 4 5->7) . 1 3 ->5 means: look for 1 and 3 have same value but 5 different. I get stuck. Can some experts help me?

Need help about RRD4J, get data from rrdb

i need more help about roundrobin database, especially using RRD4J library.
i want to know, if i have one file database data1.rrd and i specific want to get data from startTime to endTime.
how i can get that data from that database, and move them to another database file data2.rrd.
can i do this?

with rrd4j we can create roundrobin database (rrd), the output in example: data1.rrd
i just want to get data that i had put in data1.rrd to move them to another rrd, example: data2.rrd.

I was reading from the Help menu which does provide the warning that the material may be outdated since it is not supported.

Help with getting array values from a file

Hey ppl. Im doing a programming assignment just now and im completely stumped. I know i can ask my tutor but that will take a week (he is never in) so i was wondering if any of you could help. The basic idea is that you have to store numbers read from a file into an array. The catch is that you are not given the size of the array, you have to discover this by counting the numbers in the file. It terminates when -1 is discovered. This 'count' then states the size of the array.
I got this done ok and i thought I was on easy street after that. All i had to do was read the numbers into the array but alas its not working. The compiler gives it the ok, but when i run the program i get the following error

1. read the numbers and put them into a List (either ArrayList or Vector)
2. instantiate the array based on the size of List (list.size())
3. populate the array from the list

Help: Servlet can't read from properties file

I am working on a web application running in Tomcat on Linux.My java source file reads some parameters from a properties file (data.properties)in the same directory. This works well in a simple application. However, if it is used in the Tomcat environment, it can't be read by a servlet file (LoginServlet.java). I put both the "LoginServlet.class" and "data.properties" in the following directory: /webapps/myapp/WEB-INF/classes. When I run the web application in Tomcat, the error is "data.properties not found". What is the problem? Do I need to modify my "web.xml" and/or Tomcat's "server.xml"? If so, how to modify them?
This web application contains a lot of serlets. So I don't want to hardcode the parameters into the servlet codes.
Any info will be appreciated. Thanks in advance!:)

Putting the properties file in webapps/myapp may or may not help.
My assumption is that you are trying to open the file by brute force, with something like
InputStream propis = new FileInputStream ("data.properties");
Properties props = new Properties ( );
props.load (propis);
What you want is to have the class loader find a file in the same place as the class file, and give you back an input stream reading from that file, which you can then pass to the Properties.load(InputStream) method. This is called a "resource," and the way to do it is:
InputStream propis = getServletContext().getResourceAsStream("data.properties");

This will cause the class loader for the servlet context (a/k/a the Web application) to find the file in the same manner as it might find a class, but instead of treating it as compiled JVM code, and loading it, it simply passes you back an InputStream from which you do whatever you want.

I want insert value into table from xml file. Every time I inserted value of date type into the table, I got the unpasable error message as following:
