Seekbar bug with firefox browser on Mac

hi.
i found a bug in seekbar using Mac with mozilla firefox (but not with safari who works fine and also windows pc with IE and mozilla work fine).
i tried to visit www.opensourcemediaframework.com and to drag the seekbar and with the mouse clicked i exit from the flash stage where the video is playing.
i release the mouse but the seekbar dont't receive the mouse released event (and the stop drag) and if i try to move the mouse (not clicked) into the video area the seekbar continue to follow the mouse.
thanks a lot.

hi.
only with mozilla on Mac, i have this:
page: http://www.opensourcemediaframework.com/
1. click whith button left of the mouse the thumb (the arrow) of the seekbar (button left clicked)
2. the player go to pause and i start to drag (button left clicked)
3. i move right the mouse (the thumb follow the mouse and video is paused - correct) (button left clicked)
4. i move down the mouse outside the stage of the video (button left clicked)
5. i release the mouse (unclick the button left): the video don't start because dont't receive the stop drag event
6. i move the mouse on the stage area of the video and the thumb of seekbar follow the mouse (continue the drag but the button left is not clicked)
7. so, i have to click on the thumb to stop the drag and the video go to play.
i don't receive any error message, it's only a not so correct behavior of seekbar drag.
With Windows IE and mozilla works fine, also with Mac Safari.
The problem is only (i think) for Mac platform with mozilla.
Thanks.

  • Why does the "TAB" key no longer work to move the cursor from field to field with Firefox 17 in MAC OS 10.8?

    The "TAB" key will not move the cursor from field to field with Firefox 17 in MAC OS 10.8. You have to use the mouse to click on the new field to move the cursor.

    See:
    * http://kb.mozillazine.org/accessibility.tabfocus
    Note: In OS X (as of 2005-01), if this preference is not explicitly set, the “Full Keyboard Access” setting in System Preferences will be honored. All builds before that date (e.g., Firefox 1.0.x) will ignore that setting.
    This pref doesn't exist by default, so if you want to use it instead of the system settings then you need to create a new Integer pref with the name accessibility.tabfocus and set the value to what you want (7 is to tab through all the fields).

  • Flash video has not worked with Firefox browser for years. When will you fix this?

    Anyone who uses Firefox browser (for Windows or for Mac) knows that flash video playback ceased working sometime around Firefox ver 13 and has not worked since.
    The Mozilla people say it is Adobe's fault - instead of fixing Firefox.
    They say roll back to Adobe Flash version 10.
    This solves the video problem, but then, any other services that depend on the latest Flash build, quit working properly.
    This situation leaves millions of Firefox users in perpetual frustration. We can't use our browser of choice to view any web video built with Flash.
    This is so unacceptable. I am unable to understand why Adobe and Firefox don't get together and iron out whatever code incompatibility is causing this.
    I would really like to hear Adobe's explanation for this.

    Uh... I don't know what planet you posted this from, but Flash video has worked flawlessly with Firefox for hundreds of millions of users here on earth, without any gaps since Firefox was still called Mozilla.
    For the record, I have Firefox 28 with Flash Player 13 installed on:
    WIndows XP (SP3-64bit)
    Windows Vista Ultimate (SP2-64bit)
    Windows 7 Ultimate (SP1-64bit)
    Windows 8 Enterprise (64bit-2 machines)
    Windows 8.1 Enterprise (64 bit)
    OS 0.6.8 Server
    OS10.7.5
    OS10.8.5
    OS10.9.2
    And I've had Firefox with Flash Player since 2003 on both OS formats. I've never had a compatibility problem.
    I also use Chrome, IE, Opera, Safari and a few other browsers you probably never heard of (like SeaMonkey, Maxthon, Waterfox, iCab, OmniWeb)... Flash works in all of them.
    I'd have to say the problem is with your system specifically, because if it was a Firefox/Flash compatibility problem, there would have been hundreds of millions of complaints about it, for over a decade. That... just isn't the case.

  • When will Mozilla correct the printing bug with Firefox where only 1 page is printed?

    There is a problem with FireFox whereby it only prints the FIRST PAGE of many sites.
    Searching the web on this, it seems that this problem has been around for a long time and even what the cause is.
    Apparently FireFox interprets the html text "overflow: hidden" as meaning to 'hide' all the rest of the page when printing.
    Many users have reported this problem, but to date it has not been adressed.
    Please correct this Mozilla (Or do I have to go back to using Safari?)

    Please go to the following bug and add a comment documenting this problem:
    https:// bugzilla .mozilla .org/ show_bug.cgi?id=258397
    If more people report this problem, there is a better chance they will fix it.
    ''Moderator broke the hyperlink. Please don't advocate the spamming in Bugzilla reports, if anything request that users '''vote''' for a Bug that they think should be fixed. That particular Bug is a duplicate of this one - https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=129941 - which was fixed in 4.0b7.''

  • I close out Firefox then when I try to reopen it, I get a message that it is still running. I've had so many bugs with Firefox that I'm removing it and going back to IE.

    The problems I've had with Firefox are numerous. It keeps running in the background and won't reopen. I have to go to the task manager and close it manually. Now, it won't load my iGoogle homepage. I was loading fine, earlier but now won't. My other browsers work fine. There are just too many bugs here.

  • Cant print coupons with firefox browser

    trying to print coupons from coupons.com
    will not let me unless i close firefox browser
    then i see it in the download window but when i go to open it says i need to close firefox browser and then i am no longer connected

    Sorry brian5, I wasn't wasn't answering you 6 month ago, was I?
    Why not ask for support from the coupon website or the developer of those plugins? <br />
    Add-on developers are responsible for supporting what they create, not Mozilla. "We" try to help users with anything related to Firefox and add-ons when we can, but without signing up for the coupon service I can't even get as far as a download page for those coupon plugins and see what instructions they provide for their users, if any. There is no way for non-users of that service to get the plugins.
    You might want to consider trying what ellenw1952 posted about 3 months ago, using IE Tab 2 - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/ie-tab-2-ff-36/ - and opening the coupon pages in an IE tab within Firefox.

  • Forum 'Sign In' with Firefox browser not working

    Anyone else having this issue with Firefox 23 or 24? IE9 works fine.

    Notice there is no mention of the Adobe Forums or Adobe Labs 'Sign In' accounts. My 'Adobe ID' is my email address and my Adobe Forums and Labs 'Sign in' is trshaner, both with different passwords and email addresses.
    I had an online Chat at the link you provided with Adobe Tech Support. I was sent a password reset email for the Adobe forums account using the other email address [email protected]. I was able to successfully change the password, but the old password persists for the Adobe Forums 'Sign In.'
    Here's the chat-See bolded responses.
    Khader: I will send a password reset link to your both email address. You can reset the password and can login.
    Khader: I would like to inform you that same email address can be used for both Adobe Forums and Labs 'Sign in'.
    Todd Shaner: OK, thank you. This is just for the trshaner@ that I need to reset. Will I lose my history for the trshaner Adobe Forums account?
    Khader: You will not loose any history for your trshaner@optonline.
    Todd Shaner: When I Sign In to Adobe forums with toddshaner@ it does not show my previous history. Can I still use trshaner Sign In and just change the email address in my profile?
    Khader: I have sent you the password reset link to your both emails. Please reset the password and login.
    Khader: I'm sorry the email address is already register with us and you will not be able to change the email address.
    Khader: Please reset the password for your trshaner@ and check the history.
    Todd Shaner: OK, I'll try the password reset for trshaner.
    Khader: Sure, I will stanby.
    Todd Shaner: OK everything is there but still getting this error when logging in or logging out: Jive SBS Jive SBS Oops, the page can't be found Sorry, the page you requested can't be found. You can go back and try again, or start again at home. Page can't be found Error 404
    Khader: In this case I would recommend you to delete your cookies or try login using different browser.
    Todd Shaner: Delete cookies or use different browser works for one-time. When shutting down or after a few hours the message comes back
    Todd Shaner: See discussion here: http://forums.adobe.com/message/5744080#5744080
    Khader: Please raise your request in Adobe forums.
    Todd Shaner: I have! Please see post here: http://forums.adobe.com/message/5739578#5739578
    Khader: You will get a reply for it.
    Todd Shaner: Ok, thanks for your help. I can still get into the forum. So just an annoyance for now. Have a good day. Bye

  • Text editing with Firefox browser

    Ok, first, let me acknowledge that the issue is not exactly Firefox browser issue, instead, it's more on the advanced use of javascript, yes, the javascript NG would be a good forum to post it... but some nuts is poisoning the NG with garbage posting for the last two hours, I don't want to post it there to be drowned...
    Here, we go, the question/issue,
    Task: allow Outline almost like what Word would allow one to do.
    Currently I'm using the execCommand function and the InsertOrderedList command identifier, so, it is able to create ordered list (just consider it as outline for now), and it looks like this:
    <pre>
    1. apple
    2.orange
    3.banana
    </pre>
    What I'd like to do is, to go a step further, to achieve the following:
    <pre>
    1. apple
    1.1 apple cyder
    1.2 apple pie
    2.orange
    3.banana
    </pre>
    Do you know how? Thanks.

  • MobileMe preferences button and menu doesn't work with Firefox 4 on Mac OS X 10.6.6

    When I login to my MobileMe account I have two buttons on the top right of the page: Preferences and My Account name.
    Both I can select but when I do I cannot press either one of the menu entries that show. So I cannot change anything or create folders in iDisk for instance. All did work on Firefox version 3.6. It also works on Safari.
    What settings do I have wrong? I like Firefox more than Safari.
    Thanks.

    You can install the portable Firefox 3.6.x version to access websites that do not work with Firefox 5+.

  • How to custom select minimum amount of addons and plugins to load with Firefox browser?

    Hello, I am using latest Firefox 24.0 along with Window xp service pack 3, with approx 1 1/2 Gb memory along with Firemin Plugin to keep Firefox Memory up. I will hopefully be upgrading my PC by early next year.
    However even when using Firemin along with Firefox, many times regular Firefox is bloated, and still uses too much memory, so, many times I have to open Firefox in Safe Mode, just to be lighter.
    Is there any way to open Full Version of Firefox, in a Custom select mode, where I can have set just the minimum Addons and plugins actually needed at the time, without having to go thru and disable the ones do not need? I wish I could use Firefox in safe mode all the time, because is so much lighter, but sometimes I just need the full feature version. Please advise, and thanks for your help!

    You can use multiple profiles and the -no-remote command line instance
    to load different (clean vs addon bloated) profiles.

  • Upgraded to Lion, Mac, but with firefox browser, unable to zoom out/in with pinch gesture

    installed Lion 10.7 for Mac. I have a MacBook Pro, 2.53 GHz intel core 2 duo, the pinch gesture for zoom in/out doesn't work on the firefox 5.01. For the Safari, the gesture DOES work.

    .... is there a way to downgrade back to lion 10.7.3 since that' worked fine.
    The only way would be to revert to 10.7.3 by using Time Machine or by cloning from a previous 10.7.3 clone.
    Hence, the importance of always having a backup, even more important with a slow Internet connection.

  • HT201364 My Mac has been running on 10.5.8 os but is beginning to have trouble with firefox browser. What would be the next os version I need to upgrade to?

    I need to update my Mac OS. Currently it's using os 10.5.8 version what would be the next version I need to install? Thank you for all your help.

    You need to buy a Mac OS X 10.6 DVD, install it, and run the 10.6.8 combo updater. Mac OS X 10.6 requires a Mac with an Intel CPU and at least 1GB of RAM.

  • I have problems restoring tabs and saving pin apps with Firefox 5 on Mac OS X version 10.6.7

    I bought a Macbook Pro a few months ago and since installing Mozilla Firefox on my system, I have never been able to restore previous sessions after closing Firefox. I currently use Firefox 5 and I've tried pinning open tabs as apps tabs but those too disappear when I restart Firefox.
    I use a few add-ons including DownThemAll, Force-TLS, Rikaichan and Rikaichan's Japanese-English Dictionary File.

    App (pinned) tabs and Tab Groups (Panorama) are stored as part of the session data in the file sessionstore.js in the Firefox profile folder.
    * http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Firefox
    * http://kb.mozillazine.org/sessionstore.js
    * http://kb.mozillazine.org/Session_Restore
    Make sure that you do not use [[Clear Recent History]] to clear the "Browsing History" when Firefox is closed because that prevails and prevents Firefox from opening tabs from the previous session.
    * https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Clear+Recent+History
    It is possible that there is a problem with the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.
    Delete the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.
    * Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Open Containing Folder
    * http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox
    * http://kb.mozillazine.org/sessionstore.js
    If you see files sessionstore-##.js with a number in the left part of the name like sessionstore-1.js then delete those as well.<br />
    Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups and all open tabs to get lost, so you will have to create them again (make a note or bookmark them).
