Seeking a automatic, timed knock-off of wi FI connection...to save data time during non-usage.

Is there a way to have an AUTOMATIC SHUT DOWN ...after some set tme ... On iPad,s WiFi data connection?
Purpose: To prevent eating up data time allotment in wi FI data plan, when it's on connection to wi fi ...but you are NOT at it or using
My problem: if wi FI connected ...so using my data plan time ...and listening to "streaming" radio ...and I fall asleep, I burn cell data time all night ...or until I wake up and turn it off.

I feared that was the case.
It's too bad ...A's I am sure there are many who "burn" up wi FI data package time ...as I do wen they are on wi FI but not actively using it. A's stated, this happens in my case when listening to streaming radio (which IPad is great for ...with RadioTime and other Apps) and fall asleep.
Or, use map for navigation when traveling and put it down and focus on driving ...forgetting to turn off and needlessly burnig up cell data time for rest of a long trip.
Or wherever and use it, put it down...fail to TURN OFF IPad ...and set up cell package time.
HOPEFULLY SOME APP DEVELOPER WILL PICK UP ON THIS ... and develop an app with time setting to shut down the wi FI connection and/or shut down IPad entirely.
OR, MAYBE MORE PEOPLE WILL SPEAK UPON THIS NEEDED IPAD IMPROVEMENT ....and maybe by iPad IV it wll be fixed/added to the iPad.

IChat knocks off my wireless Airport connection on video chat

iChat on my MBP was working until Leopard. Now, every time I start a video chat with someone as soon as the connection is made it knocks my off my wireless network and I must go back in Airport and reconnect to the network. This happens every single time I try it and it's very strange. Any ideas? I have internet sharing off and the firewall on the MBP set to allow incoming connections, but it knocks me off no matter who starts the video connection, me or them.

Does it work if the Airport is not on the LAN ?

How can i automatically turn touchpad off when mouse is connected

The "Disable touchpad when external mouse is connected" button is not on my Settings menu for the touchpad.

Just bought a g30 and would like to turn off the date/time.

I cannot find how to turn off the date/time so it does not show in my movies. Lots of other stuff to learn, too.

Are you asking about turning off the data code (date/time) during playback? If yes, look on page 147 of the manual for instructions on how to turn it off during playback. Link to Canon Vixia HF G30 manual.

Automatic Knock off GRIR

Hi all,
Can anyone help me the in Configuring Automatic Knock off of GRIR.
Right now the GRIR Credit at the the time of GR and the Debit on GRIR at the time of IV are manually knoked off in F-03.
Can the Propotiate GRIR account be Knocked off automatically after the IR.
If any Configuration is required.Please advice.

Follow this path for configuration of automatic clearing of GRIR account. Using F.13 tcode and making configuration in below given path you can clear documents automatically if certain criteria is satisfied.

Presentation timing way off after export to Quicktime

I built a presentation with several embedded Quicktime movies. Want it to play all the way through automatically. Plays beautifully in Keynote, but when I export to Quicktime timing is way off. Individual clips have lots of extra time on the first or last frame. Tried all sizes of export, tried recording and then using recorded timings, but nothing works.
I'm offering free beer to anyone who has the answer.

Did you take into account the transition times. That has thrown me off a number of times. Do you have the Fit Slideshow to music option selected?
Another application that creates, IMO, terrific slideshows is PhotoPresenter. It has 25 or more themes and can save the slideshow, with Fit slideshow to music, to a variety of formats, QT, for iPod, HD, etc. This is one of their many themes.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

Has anyone else experienced web pages in Safari being unexpectedly re-directed to knock off MMO ad sites like 'League of Angels'?

As recently as one month ago, I started experiencing a phenomenon where web-pages I was on would randomly be redirected to ad sites for knock-off MMO's. For example, if I had left a tab open to an article on Cracked.com, but was reading a different tab, the Cracked article would re-direct itself to another website. This usually was a minor annoyance, in that I would just have to go back a page in my browser, but this evening I was watching an episode on HBO Go and in the middle of streaming the video the web page abruptly changed to League of Angels. Has anyone else experienced these strange re-directs, or know what is causing them?

1. This procedure is a diagnostic test. It changes nothing, for better or worse, and therefore will not, in itself, solve the problem. But with the aid of the test results, the solution may take a few minutes, instead of hours or days.
2. If you don't already have a current backup, back up all data before doing anything else. The backup is necessary on general principle, not because of anything in the test procedure. Backup is always a must, and when you're having any kind of trouble with the computer, you may be at higher than usual risk of losing data, whether you follow these instructions or not.
There are ways to back up a computer that isn't fully functional. Ask if you need guidance.
3. Below are instructions to run a UNIX shell script, a type of program. All it does is to collect information about the state of the computer. That information goes nowhere unless you choose to share it. However, you should be cautious about running any kind of program (not just a shell script) at the behest of a stranger. If you have doubts, search this site for other discussions in which this procedure has been followed without any report of ill effects. If you can't satisfy yourself that the instructions are safe, don't follow them. Ask for other options.
Here's a summary of what you need to do, if you choose to proceed:
☞ Copy a line of text in this window to the Clipboard.
☞ Paste into the window of another application.
☞ Wait for the test to run. It usually takes a few minutes.
☞ Paste the results, which will have been copied automatically, back into a reply on this page.
The sequence is: copy, paste, wait, paste again. You don't need to copy a second time. Details follow.
4. You may have started the computer in "safe" mode. Preferably, these steps should be taken in “normal” mode, under the conditions in which the problem is reproduced. If the system is now in safe mode and works well enough in normal mode to run the test, restart as usual. If you can only test in safe mode, do that.
5. If you have more than one user, and the one affected by the problem is not an administrator, then please run the test twice: once while logged in as the affected user, and once as an administrator. The results may be different. The user that is created automatically on a new computer when you start it for the first time is an administrator. If you can't log in as an administrator, test as the affected user. Most personal Macs have only one user, and in that case this section doesn’t apply. Don't log in as root.
6. The script is a single long line, all of which must be selected. You can accomplish this easily by triple-clicking anywhere in the line. The whole line will highlight, though you may not see all of it in the browser window, and you can then copy it. If you try to select the line by dragging across the part you can see, you won't get all of it.

Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
7. Launch the built-in Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Click anywhere in the Terminal window and paste by pressing command-V. The text you pasted should vanish immediately. If it doesn't, press the return key.
8. If you see an error message in the Terminal window such as "syntax error," enter
exec bash
and press return. Then paste the script again.
9. If you're logged in as an administrator, you'll be prompted for your login password. Nothing will be displayed when you type it. You will not see the usual dots in place of typed characters. Make sure caps lock is off. Type carefully and then press return. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. If you make three failed attempts to enter the password, the test will run anyway, but it will produce less information. In most cases, the difference is not important. If you don't know the password, or if you prefer not to enter it, press the key combination control-C or just press return three times at the password prompt. Again, the script will still run.
If you're not logged in as an administrator, you won't be prompted for a password. The test will still run. It just won't do anything that requires administrator privileges.
10. The test may take a few minutes to run, depending on how many files you have and the speed of the computer. A computer that's abnormally slow may take longer to run the test. While it's running, there will be nothing in the Terminal window and no indication of progress. Wait for the line
[Process completed]
to appear. If you don't see it within half an hour or so, the test probably won't complete in a reasonable time. In that case, close the Terminal window and report the results. No harm will be done.
11. When the test is complete, quit Terminal. The results will have been copied to the Clipboard automatically. They are not shown in the Terminal window. Please don't copy anything from there. All you have to do is start a reply to this comment and then paste by pressing command-V again.
At the top of the results, there will be a line that begins with "Model Identifier." If you don't see that, but instead see a mass of gibberish, you didn't wait for the "Process completed" message to appear in the Terminal window. Please wait for it and try again.
If any private information, such as your name or email address, appears in the results, anonymize it before posting. Usually that won't be necessary.
12. When you post the results, you might see the message, "You have included content in your post that is not permitted." It means that the forum software has misidentified something in the post as a violation of the rules. If that happens, please post the test results on Pastebin, then post a link here to the page you created.

Customer open items knock off on FIFO basis

Friends,
Is it possible to knock off the customer payments on first in first out basis, without manual clearing through F-32.
Payments user will post the incoming payments on account, which should be adjusted for 1st bill on FIFO basis.
Just user has raised this - without clearing by user is it possible.

Every time i try to play draw something i keep getting knocked off. I also have a game that is stuck and i can't get rid of it or keep playing.

I am continually knocked off of draw something while trying to play. I also have a game that when they sent it back to me, it was frozen at the point where it shows them guessing my drawing. It lets me watch my drawing but shows the wrong letters available and the wrong word in the spaces. The right word was wedgie but the word guessed is candy and the remaining available letters are a,d,q,v,y,y,z.

go to the appstore and make sure that there are no new updates for Drawsomething.
If that is fine, double tap the home button and remove every app you see in that area. (hold your finger on the recent apps area that just came up and then remove every app from that area.
Now try to go to DrawSomething.
If that didn't do it:
Now go to where you have draw something and remove it from your ipad (hold down the icon until it all of them start to wiggle and hit the X on Draw something.
Now go back to the App Store and redownload draw something.
See if that doesn't help.

IMac G5 does not turn on after power cord knocked off

I have an iMac G5 that I recently passed on to my daughter. For the past few years it has been working fine except for one occasion that I replaced the power supply. At that time it was still covered by warranty and Apple sent me a replacement unit that I installed myself. Lately, the power cord was knocked off while the computer was on and now it will not turn on completely. It starts for about 15 seconds up to the gray Apple logo then the screen goes blank. I monitored the LEDs and all 3 do turn on then the computer shuts down. At first I thought it's the power supply that was affected with the power cord accident, and bought a replacement unit. I have just installed it but still the same problem exist. I am now asking for help from the expert souls out there to save this computer. Thanks.

No more ideas except to try starting from the install disc and see if that works. Resetting the PRAM might jolt it back to life, it's worth a try, but I am not hopeful.
If you do take it in, please let us know whether it was the logic board...

In FBL1N the invoice is showing as Open Item.
I want to knock off the Downpayment against Invoice. What is the procedure?

Please use F-44 and make sure you have to mention special GL indicator under open item selection tab.
Then only the line item will be diplayed.

1)In control tab i have maintained customer and vendor no.
2)in payment transaction tab i have maintained payment method, house bank ,selected the check box clrg with customer and vendor

Please check that same payment method is assigned to both customer and vendor

Payroll Costing / Accounting --- How to knock off payroll libility

Hello Frendz
I want to know, i have made setup of costing at link level according to the proper Cr & Dr. After the payroll run Costing summary shows Dr & Cr equal to each other e.g. Salary expense Account & Payroll Clearing Account.
Now i want to make the payment through my bank (AP module) , what entry i should pass or what step i should follow to knock-off my liability which is standing at Payroll Clearing Account?
Remember: i have 2000 Employees and Client wants every benifits calculates with seperate Natural Account e.g. basic Salary 11000 , HRent 11002 ... ect

I want to know just costing setup and want to pay through payroll.
My confusion comes when i am try to create Valid payment method for payroll.
What i should define in Payment Method thats makes my transaction reconcile. e.g. I defined costing at link level , for salary i enter salary expense code in costing segment in balancing segment should i define Bank or Payroll clearing Account. ( If i defines Payroll Clearing so how my bank will be updated with the amount which i have to pay to employee?)

HT1369 An update(newer version) was taking place for my iPod touch and I was knocked off line, Now, my iPod won't turn on or off and the screen only shows the Apple insignia and an empty oblong circle where it would have filled when the update was succ

A newer verion update for my iPod touch was taking place when I got knocked off line,Now,I have no connection to be able to use my iPod.Just a Black screen with the Apple insignia and an oblong circle that would have filled when the update was finished appears and the iPod won't turn on or off.
