Seeking advice on moving up to HDV editing

I appreciate folks on this forum who have assisted me in the past when I’ve had questions about iMovie, editing, burning DVDs etc. Karsten, Lennart, Bengt and others from around the world have been very kind and helpful. I am now seeking advice from anyone regarding “moving up” to the HDV world of video editing.
I recently "retired" my 2003 iMac G4 800 MHz flat screen and replaced it with an iMac 2.8 GHz Intel core 2 duo with a 320 GB hardrive and 4 GB of upgraded RAM. I have a 250 GB external drive as well. I also replaced my old Sony TRV-30 digital camcorder (a great old workhorse which is still going strong after 8 years) with a Canon Vixia HV40 that has high definition recording capability (uses mini DV tape).
I had been using iMovie HD 06 to edit my video projects along with iDVD and Toast 6 to burn them to DVD. I would like to start shooting HDV video with the new Canon, edit and burn the projects to Blu Ray high definition discs. MCE Technologies (among others, I believe) offer both internal and external Blu Ray burners. I don’t believe that the internal Blu Ray burner would work in my new iMac, but I may be wrong on that. (Does anyone know the answer?)
I believe that the MCE external Blu Ray burner would work with my equipment if attached to one of the Firewire ports or possibly through one of the USB 2 ports. (there is both a 400 and 800 Firewire port on this iMac model.) I was planning to acquire Final Cut Express as the editing program with Toast 10 Pro (plus the Blu Ray plug in) to burn the edited projects.
Will this work? Is there anything I should know before I plunge “headlong” into HDV editing? Any advice would be most welcome. Thanks in advance.

I'm jealous.. wow! MY set-up..
HDV is supported by IMHD6.. just to mention that. so, HDV-editing is same as SD..
iMHD6 Export 'FullQuality' creates a file, which is HiDef too, for your Toast/BR workflow ..
HDV creates on import (IMHD6/FCE) huuuuuge files, 40-60GBs/h .. 250 extHDD = 6h, full..
actual price for extHDD with 1TB <100€ ..
keep in mind: internal harddrive has to offer any time 10-20GBs free..
not every BR-standalone-player accepts homebrewn disks..don't be disappointed...
Toast and iDVD can burn DVDs (=which offer SD only) from HiDef projects.. no need to 'convert'.. both apps downsize automatically...
FCE has a (very) steem learning curve.. totally different to iMovie.. no one-click-only, no templates, no ready-mades.. but zillions of options, 101% control.. (simple example: ken burns with zoom-to-zil and rotation and moving out of frame...)
buy a book of FC Mastermind and AppleDiscussions-Level5 supporter *Tom Wolsky* - he's a sensei, in-depth-knowledge, hands-on (=no tech blabla), easy to read and understand.
don't start with a project, start with 'tests for the trashbin'..

  • Seeking advice: moving universe between systems

    Hi all,
I've been spending some time trying to work through the Business Objects documentation to try and understand what's involved in migrating a Universe from a non-SQL Server based system to a SQL Server based system.
I'm seeking advice not having used Business Objects as I am attempting to estimate the work involved for a customer who currently uses BO. I don't know whether it's just a simple exercise of changing the database connection, or whether more work is involved. I've tried to get this information through SAP formally, but not currently being a BO customer they've refused to answer any questions.
During the course of the migration of the underlying data tables, some columns in some tables have changed their data-type (e.g., from smalldatetime to datetime, or changes in length/precision). I'm also not sure if the tables have changed name: in the old system, they are named in a SQL type manner (i.e. <prefix>.<tablename>) however in SQL Server the objects will be placed in a database named <prefix> with each table being named <tablename>.
Would this potentially require a full drop of every object in the Universe, or could this exercise be achieved without having to remove and re-add any objects by saying "this object in the Universe is now this object in the database".
    Any advice welcome.
    Cheers,
    Chris...

    Hi Chris,
The universe is quite a simple tool in that it maps the sql directly to objects. So if the universe points to a table name that is no longer present, you wil get an error in the report, or when you check the integrity of the universe (tools, check integrity)
The standard formats will move accross without an issue, however it is possible to use vendor specific code in objects. So for instance I could write
    nvl(my_table.my_col, 0) in Oracle
    or
    IsNull(my_table.my_col, 0) in MS SQL.
If you objects contain these defintions then your job is going to get harder.

  • Seeking advice on SAP/cloud

    Hello all,
Will be doing proof-of-concept on SAP on cloud, installing ERP and seeking advice/feedback.
Based on the criteria of easier installation and faster delivery (and of course success story), what will be the recommended combination of platform (LINUX, Windows) and database (Oracle, MS SQL, MAXDB, DB2).
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Terry

There are lots of  documents in SDN and other forums which will give much better idea ... but these are my observation
Installation - Once you have gone past the access process to the cloud environment, after that you can hardly differentiate whether you are on doing a install on cloud or non-cloud. Though definately the time to get the infrastructure for install is much faster.
Windows or Linux - I would put it as windows or Unix, not sure how many providers offer other flavors of Unix apart from Linux. But obviously the Product itself to some extent will govern what you choose, as has been the case in non-cloud env.
Database - Again have seen Oracle and DB2 being mostly used. Not sure why, may be stuff like doing system refresh in 15 min ,  etc  are easier to achieve with products like Oracle and DB2.
    Regards,
    Neel
I dont have any exposure to windows on cloud. So i am not aware of specific positives it might have in cloud.

  • Video Flicker & Creation of SD DVD (16:9) from a HDV edit...

    Hi Everyone,
We have just completed a project on HDV.
Shot on HDV using Sony FX1E
    HDV Edit using FCP HD
Video Card is Declink HD Extreme.
    Problem 1:
    Flicker while we render video:
When we render the timeline, the rendered output some times has a flicker that appears. It happens to everything, video, background animation done using motion anything you name. Then if we re-render the same, it goes off next time itself or sometime later. Not quite sure when and why ? We have to check to ensure no flickering is there before we step into the next stage.
The only problem that i could think of is. We have only 1 harddisk in the system. So the OS is in the same drive in which the project is also getting executed.
    Problem 2:
Creation of SD DVD (16:9) after finishing HDV edit.
Compressor, the **** product is a royal waste or is that we do not know how to use it. or should we be using something else to make a SD DVD from a HDV edit.
We completed the project by taking a Uncompressed movie output and taking it into another Matrox sytem and created a SD DVD using Adobe Encore DVD. So the job got over, but what is the way to do the same in FCP & DVD Studio PRO.
Making a HD DVD is perfect, we tried that and it worked well.
We look forward to the comments from all you experts.
    Thanks in advance.

Power MAC G5   Mac OS X (10.4)   Decklink HD Extreme - Video Card

One of the interesting and clever things about OSX is that data is not necessarily written to disk when you think it is - it first goes into a buffer and the buffer is written to disk at times of the OS's choosing. This allows the OS to handle multiple tasks etc. 'at the same time' - it stores things up and then milliseconds or perhaps seconds later writes them to disk. Remember that this includes all processes - and when OSX is running there might easily be literally hundreds of separate little OS-level programs running, all needing to do this or that with files on disk, not just the programmes you think you have running, like FCP or Safari.
The net result of this is that you have no control over when the disk is needed by the OS - and although this isn't a problem normally if you're using Safari or Word or something, when you are handling streaming media like video, it can be a very big problem. If you are playing a piece of video (which must maintain a constant data rate) and the system absolutely HAS to do something to or from disk, your video playback can take a hit, skipping a few frames. If this happened on a long playout to client it would be uncomfortable, but if it happened on your delivery master it could be horrendous.
If you keep your media on a separate disk, the problem disappears, as OSX can do whatever it needs without interrupting the flow of video off the other drive.
So don't so it, it's just waiting to bite you in the a55.

  • Advice on moving OAS 10.1.2.0.0 to 10.1.2.0.2 on another server

I am looking for advice on moving 2 Portal applications including 120 users and 3 external applications from one windows server to another (Windows Server 2003). The existing OAS version is 10.1.2.0.0, and the infrastructure database has been patched up to version 10.1.0.4.0. Both the Infrastructure and Middle Tier reside on the same server.
    - What is the best way of moving the Portal applications including the 120 Portal users to the new server? Using Portal export / import and Transport Sets, or is there another preferred method? And what about the Portal users, what is the best method of recreating them on the new installation, keeping their users properties like password and password policies etc.?
    - Is it a good idea to install OAS 10.1.2.0.2 on the new server to start using the newer version, or will that create problems when migrating the Portal applications including the Portal users? I belive the old Infrastructure database has to be patched up to version 10.1.0.4.2 before exporting the Page Groups from the old server, so the two Infrastructure databases use the same version. But is there any other issues / problems that I need to be aware of in the migration process?
I appreciate any help and good advice on these issues - Thanks in advance.

  • Is there any 3rd party plugin that turn on native HDV editing feature?

    Hello,
I love iMovie, but I'd really like to see native HDV editing feature. I guess Apple will never do this, so maybe there is some 3rd party plugin for iMovie that will allow to edit HDV without recompression?

HDV is mp2-encoded material on miniDV cassette.. the 'nature' of mpeg2 doesn't allow a frame-precise editing (only GOP precision, as used in mpeg editors as Streamclip of ProjectX); if you do any editing (adding disolve, titles, effect) you have to encode/'recompress' .. - the 'AppleIntermediate Codec' iMovie uses to make such imports editable is a lossless codec.. so, what should add a 'native HDV' editing...?

  • Seeking advice for backing up Xserve G5 w/ RAID PCI card

    Hello all!
I'm a newbie to Macs and server admin, and I have inherited the job of setting up a server at work for file storage. I'll do my best to give a concise description of our set-up - I'm looking for some advice on the last few odds and ends... mainly how we can backup the system.
We bought an Xserve G5 with an option RAID PCI card. We have 3 500GB drives in the Xserve, configured to RAID 5 (giving us effectively 1TB of storage space). We will be using the server for data storage. About 20 computers will access the server over a network; we are using an assortment of Macs and PCS.
I am seeking advice on backup systems for the server. In the event that the RAID5 fails, we don't want to lose our data. We just need a snapshot of the server; we don't need to archive data or to take the HD offsite. Our old server just used Retrospect to run incremental backups every night (with a complete clean backup once a month). Our current thought is to attach large external hard drive to our admin computer (not the server directly) and run nightly backups as before.
The major points I have are:
-Any thoughts on reliable 1 TB external drives?
-Any recommendations on software that can backup from a RAID over a network? I found info for Retrospect Server 6.0 - it seems to do what we want, but is rather pricey.
Thanks in advance for any advice! I really appreciate it!
    Xserve G5 Mac OS X (10.4.2)

    Greetings-
We all started out as newbies at one time or another-no worries. That is why we are here.
I personally use the Lacie branded drives. They are sturdy and reliable. My only thoughts here are to have at least three external drives-one for today's backup, one for a backup stored securely nearby, and one to be securely stored off-site. Rotate the drives daily so that your worst-case scenario will be a catastrophe that requires you to use a three-day old backup, depending upon how old your off-site backup is. Not ideal but better than the alternative. External drives are cheap enough these days to allow you to do this at a reasonable cost. Plus it is easy enough to throw one in a briefcase and tote it home for safety (just don't lose it!)
I would stay away from Retrospect. If you search these forums you will find several instances of folks having some serious issues with the program. I use a program called Carbon Copy Cloner that does the job nicely for my basement server. There are ways to do the backups via the command line interface as well but I am not so familiar with those commands. You may have to dig a little deeper to find something that works for you.
One of the other advantages of the FW external drive is that you can share it with other users, so perhaps you can set things up to have your network backups to go to that drive. Tis a thought.
    Luck-

  • Native HDV editing

I'd like to know. Do you plan to include this option to iMovie in future (iLife 07 maybe)?
iMovie captures HDV movies and convert them to AIC. I really hate this. Why do you choose this way? I had problems with capturing, with quality, with HDD space.
If I want to get HDV video (not DVD), my movie will be recompressed twice - HDV >> AIC >> HDV. Some of my movies looks like DV after this.
It's really bad. I've always used Mac because it is quick, high quality, stable thing. But now... I never think about I can get back to PC. I don't like PC, but I have to edit my movies on PC right (I use Ulead VideoStudio).
Please fix it. Make native HDV editing option.

    Alexey,
I think you're getting quite mixed up about what you see on your computer, or HDTV screen, and the actual quality of HDV..
1 - HDV is very high resolution: it has 4x the resolution of normal DV (Digital Video)
2 - To fit all that extra data (4x standard definition) onto normal DV tapes, the hi-resolution video is not recorded as individual frames of video: a single hi-def frame is recorded, then - as Mike has tried to explain - the next 14 "virtual frames" are simply chunks of data which describe the differences between the original frame, and the subsequent frames. Then, after those 14 "virtual" frames, another full frame is recorded: this process, or picture format, is known as "Long Group-Of-Pictures" and the "complete-frame-and-virtual-ones" method of 'compressing' all that data into a small space is known as MPEG-2.
3 - Because there are 14 "virtual" (actually, non-existent) frames after the initial full frame, this material can't be frame-accurately edited unless the "virtual frames" are rebuilt into actual frames. Apple does this automatically, using the 'Apple Intermediate Codec' used in iMovie: this doesn't compress anything ..but de-compresses, or expands, the original material, and recreates the actual view which was shot by the camera; creating those extra frames from the data contained in the "virtual" frame info. So translating the HDV into AIC doesn't "spoil" anything; it simply rebuilds real frames from the "blueprints" contained in the MPEG-2 recording.
4 - When you see, either on a computer monitor, or on an attached "..1080 LCD TV.." the replay of your 'de-compressed' movie as a .mov within iMovie, you're looking at a downgraded editing version of the actual footage ..just like movie editors working with a rough 'edit' or 'work' print of a 35mm film on their Moviola see a lower grade movie than finally makes it into theatres: they see a print with lots of scratches, inaccurate colour ..just a "rough-and-ready" version. [..Though I have to say that my HDV movies look pretty good on my little Hi-Def monitor in iMovie..]
5 - It's only when you Export back to a tape, in HDV format, your edited movie (..by reconnecting the camcorder to your Mac..) that the full quality is rebuilt back into the same Long-GOP MPEG-2 format in which it was originally shot. Then connect the camcorder to your "..1080 LCD TV.." via component or HDMI connections, and then you should see your movie exactly as sharp as it originally was.
In other words, the appearance you see while editing your movie in iMovie, or any standard-def .mov created from that "work print", may fall short of the actual HDV version which you'll get when you Export your movie back to HDV tape and then view it.
    Does that help..?

  • Problem Moving From the Standard Edition to the Enterprise Edition

    Hi !
I am trying to move from Oracle 10g R2 10.2.0.1 Standard Edition to Oracle 10g R2 10.2.0.1 Enterprise Edition.
Platform is MS Windows XP PRO SP2
I follow all steps described in "Oracle® Database Upgrade Guide 10g Release 2 (10.2)" - section Moving From the Standard Edition to the Enterprise Edition.
    http://download-east.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/server.102/b14238/intro.htm#sthref10
The problem is that after update from St. edition to Ent. edition when I run:
    select * from v$version - I see :
    Connected to:
    Oracle Database 10g Release 10.2.0.1.0 - Production
while I expect to see something like .....
Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.1.0 - Production With the Partitioning, OLAP and Data Mining Scoring Engine options
Am I wrong ? Why information in view v$version does not update after this ?

In your document you refer to the upgrade guide, this upgrade guide applies when you are upgrading from previous Oracle releases to 10g, not SE->EE.
If you want a procedure to upgrade the SE to EE, then follow this metalink note:
"How to Upgrade from Standard to Enterprise Edition ?
    Doc ID:      Note:117048.1"
If you performed this specific upgrade and you still see this error, then probably you are facing a bug, similar to the one described in "5844095", where the version is changed form SE->EE after 10.2.0.3 patchset application.
In your case it should be enough to apply 10.2.0.3 patchset to show it properly.

  • RAM...KIT or DIMM for HDV Editing?

I need to add some more RAM to my Power Mac G5 Quad (pre-Intel), should I get KIT or DIMM (I don't know the difference), what works best for HDV Editing in FCP?
Also, any brand or vendor suggestions?
    Many thanks. : )

Crucial.com. Other than that, I don't know, because I always buy direct from a distributor or the manufacturer at reseller pricing.
BTW, when I referred to 'matched DIMMs', I was referring to DIMMs with consecutive serial numbers, as Kingston used to do it. Don't know if they still do that, but 'matched' means, or used to mean, more than just the same size. FWIW.

  • Hdv editing setup

By mistake a posthouse owner bought a AJA interface with Break Out box and a HDV deck (HVR-M15U) which has only firewire control, no RSS-42 control. Now the Aja cannot be connected to deck then how will we capture HDV etc....? He has a QUAD machine and SATA hard drives.
What is the system paths for HDV editing?
    thanks for your replies
really in need of your help.

Do you have a Kona Break Out Box and no card?
HDV is not a good format to edit natively because it has such a convoluted codec in general. I haven't had to work with it much, but from what I understand, there is A LOT of rendering involved and the bitrate is unusually high.
What most recommend is converting it to DVCPROHD. If you have a Kona card and a SDI deck, you can bring it in as DVCPROHD on the fly. Otherwise, you can capture it as HDV, then use Media Manager to re-compress the files to DVCPROHD. Edit as DVCPROHD and then output at whatever your delivery is.

  • HDV from After Effects to FCP - seeking advice...

I'm editing a concert which was shot with 5 cameras in Sony HDV (1080i), and FCP can actually play all 5 cameras in a multiclip synchronized with the canvas! (Dual G5, 1GB RAM) Well, it throws up an "Out Of Memory" red screen now and then, but I just ignore that and keep editing.
Now I'm creating an opening in After Effects set to HDV 1080i, and I'm wondering how to export (actually, MakeMovie) it. I've tried Animation / no compression and HDV / Keyframe every 15 frames. The Animation is about 20 times the file size of the HDV; they both play in FCP RT with some stuttering, they both render in the same amount of time, and they both look identical after rendering.
Can anyone suggest any other ways to export from After Effects so it will play without rendering in FCP?
I have a haunting feeling that if the GOP of the imported clip does not match the GOP of the timeline, I have to render. But I don't know how to detect the GOP of either.
Arghhh... how I suffer for art! Any suggestions would be welcome!

Hi James ... Yup, that's right, stacked on top of each other with opacity lowered on both as well! (I do like Macpros my old G5 went red when talking about HDV in the same room!!). I have though managed to replicate Seths problem by not using the same size comp. settings in AE. ie if my comp settings in AE are 320x 120 and I try resizing when rendering that seems to throw FCP off track, but if the AE comp settings are 1440 x 1080 and rendered at the same using HDV 1080 then FCP treats the quicktime footage as the same as Sony HDV.

  • Who can help - several problems with HDV editing in Premier Elem. 8

For several years I have edited DV video with Ad. Prem. Elem. 3.0 without serious problems. Now I'm also shooting HDV video and have bought and installed Ad. Prem. Elem. 8 (PE8). To try out PE8 I have started up two projects, but only to be met with several very serious problems. Before buying PE8 I tried a 30 days version of Ad. Prem. Pro on the same PC without problems.
My PC (from march 2010) is as follows:
Operating system                   Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit  (PE8 update is also installed)

PROB. 1:  When capturing HDV there is no picture in the Capt. Window and no sound. The window is plain black surrounded with a thin red line, which together with a red dot in the windows upper left corner indicates, that the capture should be taking place. But to the right after the text "Capture:", "Video" and "Audio" with there checkmarks, are only half lighted (not active). Only on the camera screen can I follow, what should be captured. With the mentioned indications, capture sometimes takes place, and sometimes not. This is first to see, when capturing is stopped.Very irritating and time wasting, as many of my clips has a length up to one hour (live music scenes). The Device Control in the Capt. Window is working o.k.. When capturing DV, everything is working all right from both the HDV and the DV camera.
PROB. 2:  When capturing, "drop-outs", not existing on the tape, but generated in the capt. process, can occur - probably because some other small process takes place on the PC. F.ex. if one is looking around in PE8's Preferences Menu.
PROB. 3:  The worst thing concerning these "drop-outs" + those eventual existing ones from the tape, is, that after a drop-out the picture/sound no longer are synchronized. From the drop-out and to the end of the clip, the sound is 11-12 frames behind the picture.
PROB. 4:   When editing/looking at a film in the Monitor Panel, the picture is not very fluent. It is hacking a bit, which makes it very difficult to adjust the lost synchronization (see prob. 3), which I did by moving just the Sound Bar 11 frames in the Timeline, precise from the spot the drop-out had been before it was cut out.
PROB. 5:  When HDV is played back in the Monitor Panel, the sound is not to be heard the last 10-11 sec. of the last captured clip, although the sound signals are easily seen in the Timeline. After a restart of PE8, it is o.k.
PROB. 6:  When HDV is played back in the Monitor Panel, it happens, that it suddenly stops unprovoked (none else activity has been done, just looking at the Monitor Panel).
PROB. 7:  After having just done a few cuts + adding a bit of text + working with the synchronization (see prob. 4) in the two mentioned HDV projects, I burned a Blue-ray disc (BD-RE) of project I, and after adjusting a bit more on the synchronization, I burned one more, both without problems. Then I tried to burn HDV project II, but now the burning window showed several empty little windows (only Rescan/Copies/Status/Quality had text) - the text in "Status" was: "Invalid disc name". That happens both with and without a disc in the drive. Whit a disc in the drive, I tried to Rescan, but each time only to get a warning window saying:"[..\Src\DVD\MPEGEncoder.cpp-121]". By doing anything with "Quality", the same warning turns up. When "Continue" in the warning window is activated, PE8 goes down. I then tried to burn project I again, but although I succeeded burning 2 disces of that earlier, no success - same problem. And again the same with a new third little HDV project, I had made. If I choose to burn a DVD instead of a Blue-ray disc, everything works well.
PROB. 8:  I'm now so frustrated, that I nearly see no other possibility than to give up, and feel depressed over wasted good money + not getting my projects done. But I still have a little hope, that someone out there are able to help me out - and if you try, please don't write in an all too complicated way, as English is not my language (Danish it is). Just to illustrate my difficulties, it took me nearly 8 hours to put this rapport together.

It's very difficult to answer several questions at once on a forum, Ulf. Is there any chance you could ask just one at a time?
As for your installation -- from your notes, it looks like you may have installed Premiere Elements on your E drive. If this is the case, it will not work. You must install the program on your C drive.
Also, if you can not see video of your capture, it is likely related to an out-of-date video driver. Have you gone to the ATI web site and downloaded the latest driver for your card?
If that doesn't work, you can always capture your HDV footage with HDVSplit, which is available here:
    http://strony.aster.pl/paviko/hdvsplit.htm
Also, be sure to go to the Premiere Elements Help menu and select Check for Updates. This will ensure you have the latest patch for the program, which resolves many of the challenges you're experiencing.
Finally, have you ensured that your video project is using the HDV project preset? One of the most important steps you can take in working with this program is to ensure that your project preset matches your source footage.

  • Seeking advice on Best Practices for XML Storage Options - XMLTYPE

    Sparc64
    11.2.0.2
During OOW12 I tried to attend every xml session I could. There was one where a Mr. Drake was explaining something about not using clob
as an attribute to storing the xml and that "it will break your application."
We're moving forward with storing the industry standard invoice in an xmltype column, but Im not concerned that our table definition is not what was advised:
--i've dummied this down to protect company assets
      CREATE TABLE "INVOICE_DOC"

XMLSCHEMA "http://mycompanynamehere.com/xdb/Invoice###.xsd" ELEMENT "Invoice" ID #####"
    {code}
What is a best practice for this type of table?  Yes, we intend on registering the schema against an xsd.
    Any help/advice would be appreciated.

    Hi,
I suggest you read this paper : Oracle XML DB : Choosing the Best XMLType Storage Option for Your Use Case
It is available on the XML DB home page along with other documents you may be interested in.
To sum up, the storage method you need depends on the requirement, i.e. how XML data is accessed.
There was one where a Mr. Drake was explaining something about not using clob as an attribute to storing the xml and that "it will break your application."I think the message Mark Drake wanted to convey is that CLOB storage is now deprecated and shouldn't be used anymore (though still supported for backward compatibility).
The default XMLType storage starting with version 11.2.0.2 is now Binary XML, a posted-parsed binary format that optimizes both storage size and data access (via XQuery), so you should at least use it instead of the BASICFILE CLOB.
Schema-based Binary XML is also available, it adds another layer of "awareness" for Oracle to manage instance documents.
To use this feature, the XML schema must be registered with "options => dbms_xmlschema.REGISTER_BINARYXML".
The other common approach for schema-based XML is Object-Relational storage.
    BTW... you may want to post here next time, in the dedicated forum : {forum:id=34}
Mark Drake is one of the regular user, along with Marco Gralike you've probably seen too at OOW.
