  • New driver for Broadcom wireless cards

Finally there's a driver for Broadcom wireless cards, including 4328 which only worked using ndiswrapper.

Actually, this driver already has a Wiki page, http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Broadcom_BCM4312.  The new information is that it doesn't just work with bcm4312 cards, but all modern 43xx cards.  See the forum links in the previous message.
The driver is already available in AUR,

  • Cant find the Driver for my Wireless on my Laptop

    Hi Everyone,
So I have been trying to fix my Laptop for some time now. I use to have windows Vista on this Laptop then upgraded to Windows 7. Now everything is perfect but for some reason I cannot find the correct Driver for my Wireless on this laptop. I have tried searching and searching for countless hours and even went on the website and let it detect the system and suggest me the drivers but it doesnt seem to pick up my Windows 7. I have tried the Vista before and it did not work as well. So I am really hoping someone on this forum could help me out. You would make my life sooooo much easier : )
So When I check out the Network IDs under Properties this is what is Listed.
    PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0269&SUBSYS_30B7103C&REV_A3
    PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0269&SUBSYS_30B7103C
    PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0269&CC_068000
    PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0269&CC_0680
Please Let me know if you can help me in any way. Thank you everyone for your time

Please mark my post as SOLVED if it has resolved your problem. It helps others with similar situations.

    Hi:
Install the above driver and that will install both the ethernet driver and co-processor driver.
You have a problem with the wireless card...could be minor, could be major.
The wireless card is missing from the device manager.
Install this software, reboot, and see if you can turn on the wireless card by using this software.
    http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/swd/public/detail?sp4ts.oid=3357379&swItemId=ob_76368_1&swEnvOid=4052
If that doesn't get the Network Controller device to show up so that you can post the hardware ID for it, then the motherboard is shot.  Power to the slot that the wireless card is connected to has been cut.
Very common problem with the Nvidia chipset motherboards with the amd processors.

  • Network Manager fails to connect with Sierra Wireless 3G/4G modem

    Hi,
I have three Asus Laptops running with Arch (Asus N56VZ, Asus F3JC, Asus UL80VS). All laptops work with Cinnamon Desktop. Everything works fine except 3G Modem in Network Manager. I have two USB modems: Sierra Wireless AirCard 310U and Sierra Wireless AirCard 320U.
Modems had worked fine in end of year 2012, when NetworkManager version was 0.9.6.4 and ModemManager 0.6.0.0. After update (NM >0.8.X.X, MM >0.7.X. - when the ModemManager.service appeared) until now, I can't connect to the internet on all Asus laptops. Since 2013 I have to use wvdial, because in wvdial modems works fine. It is Arch problem, because in Linux Mint 15 I can connect with NetworkManager.
Sierra AirCard 310U - When I'm connecting to the internet, modem reboots itself.
Sierra AirCard 320U - When I'm connecting to the internet, Network Manager can't obtain DHCP address.
I would be grateful for any help.

  • Instrument Driver for Sierra's MFCs

    Hey people:
I'm currently in the process of writing some Instrument Drievrs for sierra's mass flow controllers. The company sended a document that has all the instrument commands needed. This document specifies that, besides having to write the commands, I also need to include 2 CRC bytes + carriage retun.
I do not know what this means. If someone knows what they are talking about with CRC bytes and carriage return, please let me know. Help is much appreciated.
    -Sergio

    Hey everyone:
I know this isn't the right discussion board, but since I already started this post I'll continue to write on it. After much deliberation I finally wrote some instrument drivers for the Sierra Instruments' Smart Trak 2 Model 100 mass flow controller. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to test them because of problems with the instruments.
Attached to the document are two drivers: (1) to set the units, and (2) to establish the setpoint (flow-rate). It would be great if someone could see if they work and let me know. I've never written drivers before so they will probably have some problems. These are maybe in either the connections or the commands, or maybe in the MB-crc sub-VI that I got from a discussion board (which I've also attached).
If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. Please let me know what can be done to improve these drivers. Thanks.
    -Sergio

  • Seeking suggestions for iOS wireless multiplayer games

With the holiday season in full swing, my sons and I are having a little fun with our iOS devices - namely an iPad 2 64GB and an iPod Touch 3rd-gen 32GB.
I'd like to get some ideas for games to get from the App Store which allow wireless multiplayer between the two devices. My strong preference is for universal apps which will play the same way and which I don't need to pay for twice.
I already have the complete Capcom Arcade, and most of Atari's Greatest Hits, but sadly these are not my guy's style. (Plus, for some reason, the smoothest running Capcom game that was originally 2P co-op in the arcades, Magic Sword, does NOT have a wireless co-op mode on iPad!) Furthermore, I have one air hockey game which looks good on both devices, yet does not offer cross-device multiplayer.
Best of the season to you, whether or not you have any ideas to contribute!

OK, then... one example is iReverse (Pro), which despite the title is actually a free game. I have installed it successfully on both iPod Touch and iPad, and am now "playing with myself" (if you'll excuse the double-entendre).
Come on, people, there's gotta be some great gems out there!

have you searched the forums? There are a bunch of threads on the ath9k module not working correctly with the latest kernel.
That's why it works in the live cd environment but stops working once you update and login to your actual installation.

I do not think it is an intel controller cause Intel driver auto utility tells it can not recognize the wireless controller
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

The first link is the correct one.
After downloading and extracting the driver, you must go into C/drivers/win/wlanint and run the setup file from there.
    Good luck.

    Hi,
Download and install the driver for Realtek wireless RTL8185L from  here.
Use the Windows 7 driver. If there will be problem with the installation process then use the Compatibility mode.

I had to install Dell Wireless 1702 WiFi +
    Bluetooth Driver
The wireless adapter was defined by this driver, however, the Bluetooth still has an exclamation mark in front of it, and when the Dell WLAN and Bluetooth client installation finished, a pop up message said that Windows couldn't install the device
well, although there was a folder added in documents folder named 'Bluetooth Folder'
Yes, the Bluetooth was named with 'Generic Bluetooth adapter' before installing 'Driver above'. However, after installing the driver above, the Bluetooth adapter named with ' Dell wireless 1702 Bluetooth v3.0". But as you see it's
    still not working will.
The sceen shot shows the device manger before installing  Dell
Wireless 1702 WiFi + Bluetooth Driver
These screen shots shows the device manger after installing  Dell
Wireless 1702 WiFi + Bluetooth Driver
I've lit windows detect the operating program for this device on the internet, it said "Windows has detected that the operating  program of this device is up to date. As this screenshot shows.
What should I do because nothing lift to try? If you have a look at the ninth drivers in my previous message, you will see that no other drivers for Bluetooth lift.
Also, I have tried  to install Intel
    Centrino Wireless-N 1030 WiFi Driver
But I have been told that "the installation is blocked', This package of installation cannot be installed on your system' I don't know what this
means, is it because Dell Wireless 1702 WiFi +
    Bluetooth Driver is being installed
Could you please take some of your preciout time out to read carefully my points below to finish this problem?
    first:
Yes, if you had a look at my first post, you would have seen that I really have downloaded and installed the drivers suitable for bluetooth, which was only Dell
Wireless 1702 WiFi + Bluetooth Driver, which made the bluetooth recognized by Windows 7(64Bit). However, the bluetooth in the device manager still has an exclamation mark as it is shown in the device manager.
I don't have any other drviers which can do more than the what Dell
Wireless 1702 WiFi + Bluetooth Driver did because I have tried all the drivers listed under 'Network', exept the what are for Etherent.
Yes, when I have tried adding the bluetooth between two laptops(Mohammad and Nasreen).  the bluetooth was added for both laptops as you see in these screenshots below:
The Bluetooth devices of Nasreen's laptop whose bluetooth is having some problems in Device mangage.
The Bluetooth devices of Mohammad's laptop  whosse Bluetooh is defined well in device manager.
But there is still problem in the device managre as shown in the screenshot listed before.
Second: (Important) That when I want to send files or recieving between two bluetooth added in either laptop, I could send them. Also, when I open the Mohammad's bluetooth added in Nansreen's laptop( screenshot
below), I can show what is inside it.
However, when I open the the Nasreen's bluetooth addd in Mohammad's laptop, I noticed  no reponse at all because as you see that disconnected is written in fornt "Nasreen-Pc" as this screenshot:
Although sometimes Nasreen-Pc gets connected as screenshot below, but I am still not able to open the Bluetooth folder of Nasreen-pc from Mohammad-pc. When trying to do that, no response is there.
In other times, Nasreen-pc gets connected for a while, but it comes back disconnected.
Third:: I noticed that the name of Laptop whose Bluetooth was added listed in 'My computer' for the laptop whose Bluetooth is having some problems in the device manager.(First Screen shot below)  However,
the name of the laptop whose Bluetooth is having problems wasn't listed on other laptop's "my computer"(Second Screen shot below)
Finally: : when I clicked "right-click" on "Nasreen-PC" and then clicking on "detecting and troublshooting issues", I found that windows informed me that :
But which driver should I reinstall because I have already installed the Dell
Wireless 1702 WiFi + Bluetooth Driver almost twice?
A man should convert his anger and sadness into strength to continue living in this life.

Certain driver packages contain drivers from some of the essential services only and for additional services, separate drivers must be installed. Additionally, the service is installed only if a compatible device is installed (or paired).
Therefore, you are seeing the error.
If you are using the Bluetooth L2CAP Interface and Bluetooth Remote Control services and not able to install the services, you can try unpairing the device, restart the PC, pair the device and then check. If that too fails, you need to install a suitable
driver, sometimes even other OEM drivers solve the issue. You can Bing/Google about this. You can also contact Dell Support for more information.

    Thanks a lot,
I really didn't understand what you mean with in your first part the service is installed only if a compatible device is installed (or paired).
    The Bluetooth is integrated with
the laptop, then  where other services will come from, all service are related to Bluetooth.
If there are some additional services not related to Bluetooth,
then how can I either let them functioning well or disable them in order to get rid of the yellow exclamation mark
on the name of my laptop in the Device and printers.
Also, I really have installed a
BCBT7(Broadcom Bluetooth) for HP which really defined the same Bluetooth issue,
Device manager after installing the entire setup of driver BCBT7(Broadcom Bluetooth) on HP laptop
but  when trying to install the same
BCBT7(Broadcom Bluetooth)  on Dell,  I faced the error below, although there is an icon for Bluetooth in
the system tray. Also, the Bluetooth is integrated as
you have seen in the device manager.
You didn't answer me: Third:: I noticed that the name of Laptop whose Bluetooth was added listed in 'My computer' for the laptop whose
Bluetooth is having some problems in the device manager.(First Screen shot below)  However, the name of the laptop whose Bluetooth is having problems wasn't listed on other laptop's "my computer"(Second Screen shot below)

    HP 15-d103tx Notebook PC
      here  http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c04206739&tmp_task=prodinfoCategory&cc=us&dlc=en...
     please help

The Integrated 10/100 BASE-T Ethernet LAN is not the wireless network adapter.
That is the wireless network adapter and has nothing to do with the wireless.
If you need a driver for the wireless network adapter, then please do this...
Go to the device manager and click on the Network Controller needing drivers.
Then click on the Details tab at the top of the network controller window.
Now you see a Property drop down list and it is defaulted to Device Description.
Drop down on that and select the second item on the list (Hardware ID's).
Post the top string of characters that begin with PCI\VEN.

    Hi @emma22
I would like to do my best to help, but please bear in mind the issue you are expressing is an inquiry for Microsoft not HP. I did find something I think will be most helpful, and I hope it resolves the issue, but if the issue persists, or you have additional questions, it might be best to reach out to the Microsoft community.
Here is what I found; HomeGroup from start to finish.
In the top right hand corner of the article, you can change it from WIndows 7 to Windows 8. I hope this helps.
