Seeking to uninstall reader 9.2 after installing 9.5.

Installed reader 9.5 today, but unable to remove 9.2 without install disk or numbers I do not have. Would like to free up the 142Mb. Rob in Maine.

Unfortunately on my machine the two remain in the contents of Windows listed separately, one after the other. 9.2 uses more storage as listed, and I want to make sure it's gone. Please advise if part of it remains as supplement to 9.5 by design.

Jarrid it sounds like you may be having more severe issues since this is the second program you are now stating you are not able to uninstall.
I would recommend you uninstall all currently installed Adobe Creative software using the uninstallers in Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers folder. Uninstalling Adobe Bridge CS6 after installing Adobe Bridge CC

Vizzpat there is no separate uninstaller for Adobe Bridge CS6. Adobe Bridge CS6 is installed by several applications. When those applications have all been removed then Bridge CS6 will be removed as well.

6 in 1 card Reader not found after installing Windows 8 - HP Pavillion Dv6

I am running a dv6874ca and after installing Windows 8 the 6 in 1 card reader no longer works - the system does not read any information. I cannot find the card reader in the device manager.
Note: I am trying to view a Sony Pro Duo card which was possible before installing Windows 8. The only item that appears under "disk drives" within the device manager is my hard drive.

Want to uninstall Reader 8.17 and install 9.2

I currently have Reader 8.1.7. I want to install 9.2. It is my understanding that I must uninstall the old version before installing the new version. However, in my add/remove programs I have 2 Adobe Readers--Adobe Reader 8.1.7 that can be deleted. Adobe Reader 8.1.7 CPSID 50029 that says it cannot be deleted. How do I procede and if I am able to update, do I install 9.1 and apply patches or just download 9.2.

There is no real requirement to uninstall 8.x before installing 9.x; the upgrade should automatically uninstall the previous version. (Not recommended if the previous version is very old, say 6.x).
You don't need 9.1 and upgrade to 9.2; you can directly download the full 9.2 installer.

Read/Write errors after installing SSHD

After installing a Seagate Thin 500GB SSHD into my Late 2008 MacBook Pro, I would get errors after my computer had been asleep for several hours. The error codes end with -50. I thought that limiting the speed of the drive with a jumper would work, but it hasn't.

Adobe Reader cannot print after installing SAP GUI 6.40 with patch level 25

Hello,
We are in the midst of rolling out sap gui 6.40. Noticed that after installing the gui 6.40 with patch level 25, users cannot print adobe documents. However they can read.
Anyone experienced similar issues? Kindly assist.
Adobe version is 8.

Read only error after instalation

I was using the Arch 0.7 beta2 build for a while and everything was, more or less, fine, I finally decited to update to 0.7 and now after I install I get a buch or "filesystem is read-only" errors and then it frezes when starting hotplug, I love Arch, the philosophy is what I have been looking for, I hope someone can help, Even Gentoo can't muster the speed!

you can start with disable hotplug,
you should also use udev instead if devfs, just edit your menu.lst(devfs=nomount) and your fstab to static naming scheme, (/dev/hdx),
if that not help it could be some form of apm/acpi trouble, there are afew kernel parameters you could try as a workaround for that, can't remeber them in my head right now but i think a popular one is "noapic",

Should I 'uninstall' old Firefox updates after installing Firefox 8?

I'm strictly a "button pusher" and have no clue to the 'how' a computer or its programs work. I had Firefox 1.0.6. 3.5.5, on up to 3.6.8 and I've just installed the latest Firefox 8. Am I supposed to get rid of the old versions or just leave them on the computer. I am assuming that I can't just 'delete' them but must uninstall them; is this correct or do I just leave them there?

If you've updated Firefox every time then the previous version has been replaced by the new updated version.<br />
If you only see entries of older Firefox versions in Add and Remove programs then that are leftover orphaned entries that haven't been removed by the Firefox updater, but the files of that older version are no longer present.

I just upgraded my CS5.5 Design and Web Premium to CS6. Is it OK to uninstall 5.5 now, or does CS6 need still need it? If I do have to install, is doing so via the Control Panel OK? Thanks.

There's no reason to and doing so has been known to kill some file
associations. If you uninstall, you may have to reinstall CS6.

You will not be able to make adjustments to this photo". I tried to open the catalog straight from my external HD with the same error message. I've read about four billion forum threads to try to figure it out- files do not seem to be missing as most threads indicate. The other threads suggest there is a corruption with the file, but I don't THINK that is the case. Are there any other suggestions? If the file is corrupted, how do I find out for sure? Have I lost all my edits??

I installed Adobe Reader 11 and it abourt wiht no response when I click on anything. I am reunning windows 8

Some things to try...
Using Windows Explorer navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 11.0\Reader, then double-click on Eula.exe and accept the license agreement
Can you open Adobe Reader by itself? If so, try disabling Protected Mode [Edit | Preferences | Security (Enhanced)].
If you cannot open Reader by itself, try to disable Protected Mode in the registry; download, unzip, then run the attached registry script
It could even be a malware issue; see http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/reader-core-dll-error.html
Hopefully all these problems will be fixed in the next Reader version (most likely later today).

even when installing an upgrade version, the previous version(s) do not need to be installed. in that situation, the cs6 installer should prompt you for the previous versions' serial number.

After installing or uninstalling a program or after installing a Windows update requiring a reboot, I lose Firefox and have to reboot a second time.

Am running VistaSP2 on a Dell E520 with a Kaspersky based AV program. Ever since I installed the latest version of Firefox I find that when I install or uninstall a new app (e.g. Adobe Acrobat X Pro, Skype, Windows Messenger, etc.) or when I install an update from any source that requires a reboot, I find that Firefox will not start. Even the UAC confirmation window will not open. I have to perform a second reboot to be able to open Firefox. I have uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled it and it does not help.

Which is it, hanging or crashing, or both?
