Seeking volunteer for Spanish translation

Hi,
I am developing some educational software with our local high school on a volunteer basis (no fees, just satisfaction and appreciation). In about 10 days we will be giving a demo of the program. One of the features of the program is the ability to switch languages. In our demo, we'd like to demonstrate switching from English to Spanish. The code is Internationalized, but we need someone to translate our English strings in a .properties file into Spanish. (~50 strings). We also need to translate some associated text documents into Spanish: a total of perhaps 2000-> 5000 words depending on what we can finish in the time available.
I'd appreciate it if anyone who is willing to help out would respond here and I can give more details.
You need to have Microsoft Word, java 1.3 run time environment and plug-in, and the capability of entering Spanish text into Microsoft Word (fairly straightforward under Windows 98 or Windows 2000).

lest anyone be scared off by the 2000-> 5000 words, this is really an upper limit. Anything would be helpful.

You can do it in FCP using Video Filters > Video > Timecode Generator, you'll have more control and see your image before committing but you'll have to render
or you can use Compressor and turn on the Timecode Generator in the Inspector, under Filters, for the MPEG-2 settings

Spanish translation

I wanted to know if you like how Skype is translated into Spanish. Do you like the tone and the vocabulary used? Should it be more adapted into Spanish (from Spain) or into LatinoAmerican Spanish.

How to use Value Mappings for simple translations?

Hello,
I want to use Value Mappings for simple translations in mappings, e.g. from IDoc to Inhouse structures.
For example unit of quantity:
IDOC    -->    INHOUSE
PCE               P
ABC               A
How can I use Value Mapping for this? What should be used as Agency, what should be used for Scheme? What about groups? I tried the following: I created a new Value Mapping in Integration Directory:
- Source Agency: DELVRY05
- Source Scheme: MENEE (IDoc field name)
- Target Acency: INHOUSE_DESADV (Name of structure)
- Target scheme: UNIT (Name of field)
Then, in the table, I added several lines for translating PCE to P and ABC to A and so on. But I have to define a group name for each line. I used INHOUSE. But than I get one INHOUSE group for each line.
This seems very complicated for simple translations from A to B. I don't want to use FixValue in Message mappings.
Any help appreciated.

Lets get it very simple: I want to have exactly the same functionality of "FixValues" as ValueMappings. In 7.1, I need to define a Group for every row / line in the conversion table (e.g. for units of measurement conversion between IDoc and FlatFile). That does not make sense for me, as the Group is always the same, e.g. "Unit of measurement". So I will get dozens of same groups called "Unit of measurement".
I don't really understand the concept of Groups. Maybe this is just not appropiate for my intenses? Maybe the Group has to be defined as one specific value of Unit of measurement, e.g. "pieces"?

How can I make the thesaurus work for spanish words?

I have been using pages for about 4 months now, and usually I use it in english. I am currently writing a document in spanish but I can't manage to make the thesaurus, dictionary and wikipedia work for spanish words. I really need this to find synonyms.
Any idea what do I need to do? I don't want to change the whole pages into spanish, nor I want the spanish spell check (I know how to do that), I only need the thesaurus.

does someone knows how to create a transport for sapscript translations which can then be released to the other system via SE10?
In 4.6C when I changed a translation for a sapscript form it created automatically a transport.
Now in 6.0 it wont!

How to use MARS for NAT Translation Analysis...

Hi All,
I was wondering if we could use MARS to do NAT logging. To be more specific, currently we are using a PUX Firewall that does dynamic nat/pat. We log NAT Translations to syslog server and if further required we search into the files to find what we want.
I was wondering if anyone had tried to send translation logs to MARS and then doing a custom report for NAT Translations (i.e. by source, destination, time etc).

Use the following steps :
Step 1
Locate the File “global.properties”
Drive:\SAP BusinessObjects\Tomcat6\webapps\BOE\WEB-INF\config\custom
The following values should be present:
vintela.enabled=true
idm.realm=Domain Name (u can get the name from C:\Windows\Krb5.ini)
idm.princ=SPN User
idm.allowUnsecured=true
idm.allowNTLM=false
idm.logger.name=simple
idm.logger.props=error-log.properties
Step 2:
Locate the file “web.xml”
D:\SAP BusinessObjects\Tomcat6\webapps\dswsbobje\WEB-INF
Uncomment the Kerberos Proxy Filter and the Kerberos Filter sections to enable Kerberos SSO for Windows Active Directory (secWinAD) authentication. The following options must be specified (the rest are optional)
idm.realm = SPN user (the same as the default_realm specified in the Krb5.ini file)
idm.princ = SPN User (the same as specified for idm.princ in the global.properties)
idm.keytab = (the same as specified for idm.keytab in the global.properties )
Please note, if you are using the hardcoded password set in Tomcat's Java Options do not make any changes to the keytab lines in the web.xml
Step 3:
Backup and edit Drive:\Tomcat6\webapps\dswsbobje\WEB-INF\classes\dsws.properties by setting kerberos.sso to 'true' Restart Tomcat

Is there any available API for BOE Translator?

Hi,
      Is there any available API SDK for BOE Translator?
      Since the client has 2000+ measures to be translated, simply configuring the translation manually cannot meet the needs. The client would like to build the translation in batch through code.
      So does the Translator have any API to call?
      Any suggestion is appreciated.

We need to activate International Address Version for Spanish in our system. But i dont find Spanish language in the available Languages activation Screen. Ony Chinese,thai kind of languages are avialable.
If i want to activate Spanish which is not available in the system, what are all the things do i need to do?

But please note that this is a rather unusual approach:
Most customers use address versions for Non-Latin scripts only.

The way in which the TRANSLATE statement works depends on the R/3 logon language. In general, users log on to the R/3 System in the same language as that in which the data they want to edit was created. Logging on in the wrong language causes loss of data, unless a conversion has been defined to deal with a different language environment.
For example, if German umlauts are processed in a Russian environment, the TRANSLATE statement returns a '|' for an 'ö' and a '¶' for a 'Ö'. Such discrepancies occur in particular:
If the wrong language environment has been set inSET LOCALE LANGUAGE
If the user edits data that was not written in the logon language (without using SET LOCALE LANGUAGE)
If, for example, the data to be converted is stored in a structure struwith the language key languand the text field text, then you can work round the problem in one of two ways:

The above solution ensures that only texts created in the logon language are edited. If you want, you can bundle all other text lines in another internal table using COLLECT and then convert them using the first solution above.

It is important to reset the language explicitly using SPACE, since SET LOCALE LANGUAGE also changes the system field sy-langu. Note also that a language key may not be meaningful, or a language may not be installed correctly, or you may not be able to edit data from a specific application server. In these special circumstances, the following function modules can be used:

Transport Request for SE63 Translation of Smartforms

In my company we use Solution manager through which transport requests (workbench or customizing) are generated.
All these TRs are assigned to some project.
My requirement is when i translate smartform through SE63 it doesn't ask for request. To transfer form in TR separate tcode is there SLXT. Using this tcode we can transfer translations in new TR. But we cant use existing TR, and TR created using SLXT is not assigned to any project from Solman so cant release to LXQ. So i need to take help of BASIS person and it takes long time and approvals to transfer translation form from new request to existing .
Request solution for this.

You can manually create TR using SE09 / SE10. and include your object inside it. For Smartform translations object type should be SSFO and program ID should be LANG.
