Seem to be receiving Multiple announcements of same post.

This is different than just receiving announcements of threads in which clicking on each succeeding link show a new thread at the end of a Topic (which is correct). what I am getting is up to thre or four times I am seeing exactly the same thread, with the exact same number of threads, and the exact same author of threads to the post in eactly the same order. Some times it happens as many as 6 times or more. is this normal or have I indavertently created multiple accounts (using different aliases.
The way it should work is first click is original subject, second time original plus first thread, click on next announce ,should be have addittional thread, and so on. if you go backward it should take away the last entry. Can this new system not do this.

For some reason, when I get two emails at once from a course I'm taking, they show up on my iphone, but only one shows in my macbook inbox. Once I open it in my macbook, it deletes the other on my iphone. ***?

People keep reporting this problem from time to time, and almost always it is some sort of Yahoo account and there is nothing the user can do to fix it. The problem usually fixes itself after some time for no apparent reason, just as it started.
Try using a different mail client, such as Thunderbird, and see whether the problem happens there as well. If so, then you know Mail has no bearing on it and there is nothing you can do other than complaining to your ISP or whoever is responsible for that account.

Multiple copies of same emails

Hey,
My problem started few days ago, I received multiple copies of same emails (about 5 copies/email). Now I tried to delete those copies using the plugin (Remove multiple messages) but it doesn't seem to delete. Still shows same amount of emails (about 35000), about 28000 needs to be deleted, in my inbox folder.
So when I try to get new emails, it says hard-drive is full etc... it isn't full. Webmail works great, but only have the latest 7days emails.
I'm using POP. please help to fix this fast.

Work Flows - Multiple receipts of same Information by a Recipient

Hi Everyone,
Single recipient receiving multiple mails of same information in the Workflows. This problem has araised after change of Mail Server from MS Exchange Server to Linux OS Mail Server and earlier to this few workflows were not working and showing "Objects were not found". Please suggest any techical change to be made in the configuration.

Multiple message generated what type of message?
If it is as send mail step that is being sent then may be the user id is maintained in the agent assignment twice. Check the Workflow Log.
If it is a notification for a particular workitem then it may be that you are executing the program RSWUFML2 twice in different batch jobs.
the 2nd scenario is more realistic. Also automatic forwarding may also be set through
SBWP->Settings->Office Settings->automatic forwarding.

How do I receive multiple texts from the same sender, each individually?

So I receive automated reminders from my job & I want them to come individually. For example, one text -- time stamped 10:14 pm, then another 11:12 am, coming as separate msgs.

Multiple copies of same photo on same page seems to assume A4?

I'm trying hard to work out how to print out multiple copies of the same picture. I want to get 2 copies on each 4x6" sheet of photo paper and have followed all the steps...
Selected 1 picture, hit print, went to Settings, selected "Multiple of the same photo per page".
I then went to Print Settings, selected Borderless 4x6 (yes, the printer works fine with that usually - HP Photosmart C4280) and set the Print Size to 2x3 and the preview shows the 2 copies of the same photo side-by-side no problem.
So I hit OK, clicked on Print and...
It's not aligning with the left hand side of the 4x6 - it's not respecting the selected paper size. If I put in a sheet of A4 to test, the 2 pictures come out in the centre of the page (in the requested size). So as a result I can't print on the 4x6 paper as most of the picture gets printed on nothing!
Am I doing something wrong or is this some kind of bug in either iPhoto or the HP printer driver? Anyone had any success with this? If so, what kind of printer were you using?

Here's the workflow I used to get 2 2x3s on a 4x6:
1 - select photo & click on print button
2 - select 4x6 borderless and 2x3 print size
3 - click Customize button
4 - click on settings button
5 - select "Multiple of same photo per page" (after clicking OK two photo are shown on the preview)
6 - click on the Print button.
Where I differ is that I don't go back to Print Settings to select the 4x6 paper size after Step 5. Give that a try.
NOTE: Do a Print to PDF to check it out instead of printing on paper. That will save some paper in case it doesn't work.
That gives me two photos on the 4x6. I'm using a Canon i850. I also get the same results with an Epson R280.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger or later), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 6 and 7 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. Just put the application in the Dock and click on it whenever you want to backup the dB file. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.
Note: There's now an Automator backup application for iPhoto 5 that will work with Tiger or Leopard.

Receiving multiple copies of text messages

i have an iPhone 6 plus and have been receiving multiple copies of the same text message (up to 4x) from various contacts across various carriers. This has been an issue throughout having an iPhone 5s and 6 plus, and only occurs with regular messages, not iMessage. It also does not occur for automated text messages sent to me (e.g. Redbox). While I have unlimited messages it is frustrating because they are sent to me multiple times, and not necessarily in the same order each time. It is also inconsistent. I might get a single copy of one text and four of another. I have reset the phone, changed phones, and every other thing possible. This seems to be an issue not on my end. Assistance would be much appreciate. Thanks.

Friends are receiving multiple duplicate messages

After switching to Verizon from AT&T, my friends are reporting that when I send a text message, they will receive the same message two to four times in a row. Sometimes a message will continue to repeat itself after x minutes.
I know it is not the phone because I first had a Droid Razr and then switched to the HTC Trophy. The problem occurs on both phone.
I just got the Trophy today and straight out of the box, after activation my friends reported receiving multiple messages again.
I'm using the native text messaging app and have powered the phone off several times. But again, since it happened with the Droid, it doesn't seem like it would be a phone issue.
Any thoughts of this would be great.

Photos does the same thing.... Only workaround I can come up with is to create a template in Pages and copy & paste.

we have 2 iphone 4's synced to the same itunes account for apps and music since the day we bought them, but each has a different icloud acct. they have both been updated on the same itunes account with every update that has come out since we bought them in december of 2010. nothing on either phone has ever been lost or duplicated. having said all that, maybe i'm missing something here, but we have had no problems. we do have itunes setup to sync manually. i do believe i'm a piker compared to lawrence finch, but i'm just telling you what happens in my house. maybe check with apple? is there a store near you?

I've used my iTunes password for everything else Apple does and would like to use the same one for my iCloud.

Do the following:
Make sure you are signed into iMessage and FaceTime with your current ID. If they are signed into the old ID, go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive and Settings>FaceTime, tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in with your current ID.
Then temporarily recreate the old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. (You should not have to verify the old email account so it doesn’t matter if you no longer have access to it.) Now go to Settings>iCloud, turn off Find My iDevice and enter your current password when prompted (even though it prompts you for the password for your old ID). Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Sign Out (or Delete Account if you are not running iOS 8) and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign back in with your current iCloud ID and password (your data will download back to your device).

How to use/sync single data (file) across multiple instances of same application

Currently we have an application (a diagram editor), that have the ability to save and load (serialize) its state in a xml file.
Now we want this application to behave like Microsoft OneNote application. Where multiple users have the ability to access the same file.
Later we may also need to enhance with other things like, (1)what is changed and who changed it, (2)option to resolve conflicts if any.
I came to know about sync framework to resolve this. so far, i have not tried it.
All i want is,
Virtually single file should be edited by multiple instances of same application.
We need a dll (sync framework) that does following
It takes complete responsibility of file handling.
Using this dll, each instance of the application will notify their own changes.
Each instance of the application should have the ability to detect the changes that is recently made (when, who, what are the changes).
My question:
Will sync framework be suitable for this requirement?
If so, is there a demo application that represents this?

Seems like I have found the solution.
In the taskflow there is a property named data-control-scope and I set it to isolated instead of the default (shared) and this seemed to do the trick.
I can now have two instances of the same taskflow running with different ApplicationModules

How do you share Aperture file across multiple users on same Mac? Seems this should be a preferences choice.

When you share your library between users, you may run into permission and ownership problems, if both users are editing the Aperture library and not only reading it. To avoid that, it helps to put the Aperture library onto a separate disk or a separate partion of your hard drive. For s separate partition or disk you can enable the "ignore ownership on this volume" flag. Then all users can access the library as owners of this library.
You might try to put the aperture library into a shared folder on your mac, but that has caused problems recently, i.e. when the library also contains video files.

Receiving multiple files with dual extension using file adapter

The scenario where I am implementing requires multiple files of different names to be picked(ABC.txt) and dropped at destination(ABC.txt.pgp) up by my File Sender and Receiver adapters. Any idea on about how the configuration for receiving multiple files with dual extension for receiver adapter is to be done?
Note:- currently, The scenario is working fine without dual extension. i.e Its picking all files which starts with ABC and creating at destination as it is. even I configured as ABC.txt.pgp, but its not creating the second extension.

Hi,
Try to concatenate '.pgp ' to the source file name to create the target file name for the receiver file adapter, by accessing the Adapter Specific Attributes using Java user defined function. This might work.

hi all;
i have a scenario where i am receiving multiple IDocs and have to keep on receiving tthem till 15 mins.
