Seems to be limit on number of photos that can be synced

My iPhoto library has over 12,000 photos, and I cannot sync it with iPhone 4, although I had no such problem syncing with my iPhone 3 or my iPad. I seem to be able to selectively sync less than 4,000 photos, but when I try to add more, it deletes all previously synced photos and only syncs a subset of selected photos.
Anyone else with this issue? Or with a fix? Apple support has been no help...

could it be you're exceeding the capacity of
your iphone? i ran into the same problem when
syncing the ip4 for the first time.
i had to delete a 1GB movie as well as a third
of my pics to use the same capacity as i did on
my 3GS. both iphones are 16GB.
don't forget that your images are re-optimized for
the retina display, and the resulting file will be
significantly larger than what it was on your old
iphone.

How do I delete excess email messages from my iPhone.  There are 300 messages listed, and every time I delete some, more are added from old messages.  How do I limit the number of messages that can appear on my phone?  How can I delete messages in bulk,

    You can't.
All photos transferred from your computer are stored in the Photo Library. The photos in the album or albums below are not duplicates - they include a pointer to the original photos stored in the Photo Library. This way you can view the photos in a particular album only by selecting the album, or you can view all photos available in all albums by selecting Photo Library.
Just as with an iTunes playlist. A song cannot be in an iTunes playlist unless the song is in the main iTunes library. Placing a song in a playlist does not duplicate the song. Remove the main iTunes library or the songs from the main iTunes library that are in a playlist and the songs will no longer be in the playlist either. This way you can listen to the songs in the playlist only by selecting the playlist, or all songs in your entire iTunes library by selecting Music under Library in the iTunes source list.
The same with iPhoto on a Mac. A photo cannot be in an in iPhoto Event or Album unless the photo is in the main iPhoto library. Placing a photo in an Event or Album does not duplicate the photo. This way you can view the photos in an iPhoto Event or Album only by selecting the Event or Album, or all photos in all Events or Albums.

  • Is there any limit on Number of items that can be created in SBO2005B

Is there any limit on Number of items that can be created in SAP Business One 2005B.
We are working for button manufacturer.
Each button will have type, color, size, thickness.
There are about 100 types, 40 colors, 30 sizes, 10 thickness, 500 models.
It looks to be approximately above 30lacs item codes has to be created.
Is there any performance issues or any other known issues towards the large item lists.

    Hi,
There is no real limit on the number of items you can create (well, the item code is a 20 character key so theoretically the limit is the total number of possible combinations of letters and characters in that key).
Performance can be an issue with a large inventory, as well as database size (particularly if you have a large inventory and a large number of warehouses). Some issues such as the speed of lookups can be avoided by changing system settings but other issues such as the speed of inventory reports are inevitable going to take longer for larger inventories.
Have you done any research on looking for SBO addons for the clothing industry? It might be worth searching the CPSN for such addons (ie ones that can deal with sizes, colours etc) as these may help greatly in keeping the number of stock items down to a minimum.
    Kind Regards,

  • Can Flex Limit the Number of Prints that can be made?

Is there a way to create a Flex app to limit the number of
prints that can be made from it? I need to limit a coupon that
prints out, and I'm new to Flex. Is this possible to be created? Is
anyone interested in possibly contracting this job? This is a

No. Printing is either permitted or not, but there is no way any document can control the print quantity.

  • Maximum number of photos that can be imported into an iPhoto library?

    1. Does iPhoto have a maximum number of files or photos that it can handle in a single library?
I have a lot of photos (20GB) that have not yet been imported into an iPhoto Library. I am going to set up a new library with the iPhoto Library Manager (iPLM), but am wondering if there is a maximum number of files that can be handled in a single library?
    2. Also, I don't think I want to import these, since that would create an iPhoto library as large as the source files. Are there any problems if I set up the preferences so that this library will not have the graphics imported into it?
    3. With iPLM, can you have different sets of preferences for each library?
Thank you for any advice or suggestions.

    1. Does iPhoto have a maximum number of files or photos that it can handle in a single library?
Apple advertises that iPhoto will handle 250,000 photos - I doubt that anyone has come close to that (or will)
I have 19,278 in 237 events - 22 GB - on a G5 iMac and it is snappy with no issues

If you want those should be fine in one library

It is a choice - if you do NOT import them then you will be responsible for all future management - deleting, etc. Moving to a different location or computer is much more difficult if you reference your photos instead of importing them.
Many people import them, burn the original source photos to CD or DVD and delete them from their disk letting iPhoto manage them
    3. With iPLM, can you have different sets of preferences for each library?
I'm not sure but I do not think so

  • Is there a limit to number of devices you can simultaneously sync to one itunes account?

Is there a limit (set by itunes or elsewhere) to the number of devices you can simultaneously sync to one itunes account/PC/Mac? Using USB hubs or other sync/charge devices?

iTunes can only sync one device at a time.
There is no limit to the number of devices you can sync consecutively with the same library.
Each device can hold protected content from up to five accounts.
Up to 10 computers and iOS devices can be authorised for automatic downloads of an Apple IDs available purchases (some items may only be downloaded once).
Up to five computers can be authorised to each Apple ID at any one time.

  • Limit to number of files that can be moved or copied?

I'm trying to move the contents of the "previous systems" folder (from my update to Leopard) to an external harddrive, but when I drag and drop the file name it starts the process but stays at "preparing to copy 16,850 items." It's still on that message in the dialogue box with the barber pole over an hour later.
My question is: Is there a limit to the number of files that can be moved/copied at one time? Or does it just take a very long time?
    Thanks for any help.

Thanks, Katy. I left it up all night and it was in the same place in the morning, so I'm assuming it isn't going to go what I need done in one fell swoop. I had to relaunch Finder before the dialogue box would go away.
Moving all those files will have to wait, I guess, until I have enough time to break them into manageable chunks.

  • Limit on number of users that can be provisioned in one AE request

    Hi Gurus,
Could you please let me know if there is a cap on the number of users that can be requested for provisioning in one single AE request. We are on AE 5.2? and we are facing this error when we try to raise a request containign more than 25 users:
"User Provisioning failed for System(s) : FEP. Error Message : User ####### not found;"
Let me knwo if you need further information on this error.
    thanks,
    Poornima

    Poornima,
Its recommended not to create a request for more than 20 users for mass provisioning.
Try with 20 users max., I think it should resolve your problem.
    Thanks,
    Tavi

  • Does iMovie have a limit on the number of photos that can be downloaded to iDVD?

I have created an iMovie with 426 photos and is 39 minutes long, but when I try to download the movie to iDVD the download quites unexpectedly.  I've tried downloading the movie twice with the same result.  I am using iMovie 9.  Is this problem fixable?  Or is the movie too large to download to iDVD??  Please help!!  Need answer ASAP!

There is no limit I know of. 39 minutes should be no problem.
Have you tried SHARE/MEDIA BROWSER in Large size?
Then add to iDVD through the Media Browser. It's at the bottom right of the iDVD window.

  • Is there a limit on number of columns that can be used to build a form?

I am building a form, which has about 180 columns. When I added more columns, it can be compiled, but not able to re-open it to edit. Got "Internal Error " or "The request had invalid syntax" such kind of error message.

You should probably post this question in the Oracle Forms forum for an appropriate response/comment on your question: Forms

  • Limit to number of photos per Import? Import not completing - is stuck.

    Hi all -
Been using iPhoto more and more on my iMac, and decided last night to import all my photos from an external harddrive.
This was about 40,000 photos. Everything seemed to be going along just fine, till it got stuck with 8,736 photos remaining to import. Left it there all night and this morning nothing has changed.
The harddrive is still attached and spinning. I can review photos directly from the drive in Finder.
I don't know if there is a specific photo/file it didn't like and that messed things up, or if there is some known limit to the number of photos that can/should be imported at a single time??
    Any thoughts?
    Running iPhoto '11 (version 9.1.1)
    Thanks!

I've never seen report of a limit for a single import, but asking it to gobble up 40k images at one go is a bit of an ask
Most likely, it's a damaged jpeg that it's hung on trying to import. But it could also be just maxing out on the resources needed to processing that volume of data at one go.

  • Limit the amount of copies that can be printed

Is there a way to limit the number of copies that can be printed of a pdf from inside the form in LiveCycle? I would like clients to only be able to print  only two copies of a form with Adobe Reader. How can I do this?

This should be doable, but not very pretty...
    First, put a text-field on the form, and make it hidden with a defaullt value of 0;
in pre-print, check if the value of the hidden field is >= the limit, if so set
    xfa.event.cancelAction = 1
that will prevent the print dialog from even showing.
if the value of the hidden field is < the limit, add one to the value of the field.
That should do it. If you need a hand with the actual code, just let me know.
    - Scott
(limitations: if the user doesn't save the changes, the hidden field will remain at 0... as such, you may have to script the docClose event to trigger a save. The issue with this is that the user will be stuck with any changes made, regardless of whether they want to keep changes.. Like I said, it's not pretty. You could go one step further and save the state of all fields on open/save, then restore those values on close, except for the hidden field before triggering a save... As you can see, this can get complicated fast....)

  • Is there a limit to the  number of photos I can include in a PSE 12 slide show?

I recently took a trip to Ireland and...being the camera addict that I am ...took right at 3000 pictures.
Obviously -- I don't want to include all of them,  but I do have several hundred that I would like to put into a slide show.   Is there a limit to the number of photos I can use?
Also,  I notice that there's an option for adding a narration.    I'm  new to "12",   so ....  how do I go about this?
Hope you can point me in the right direction.
    Thanks so much,
    MarDee

I just discovered that I have the trial version of Adobe Premier.   I've
been playing around with it a little bit and NOW I wonder if it might not
be the perfect program for me to use to create my Ireland travelogue.   I'm
about to the point of thinking that the investment in the program &
upgrading to the "real" thing will be worth the money.
NOW...should I do this,  is it going to be better to leave the photos in
their current size  (just a step below RAW)   or resize them down to the
size used in email?    That being said --- what is going to be best for
putting on a DVD to share with friends & family.   Looks like AT LEAST 1000
    photos.

  • Is there a maximum number of pictures that can be uploaded to create a photo book?

Is there a maximum number of pictures that can be uploaded to create a photo book?  I can't seem to drag anymore pictures to my current project.

I have over 200 photos in my book and it was accepted. There is a limit on each widget though. The interactive widget seems to have a limit of around 30 or 40.
