Selecing old attribute value in an implementation class
Dear All,
Am using ADF 11.1.1.3 and am trying to write some validation on an entity's implementation class ( in doDml method ) and i need to compare one attribute old value with the current value ...
how can i do that ?
The EntityImpl class has a method getPostedAttribute(int index) which gets the value originally read for this attribute from the database.

While inspecting the new Microsoft site source, I observed that the "class" attribute value of the "html" tag when seen in Page Source the value given by Tools/Web Developer/Inspect tool. Value with the tool indicates class="en-in js no-flexbox canvas no-touch backgroundsize cssanimations csstransforms csstransforms3d csstransitions fontface video audio svg inlinesvg" while that is given in Page Source is class="en-us no-js"
The question is why different values are shown?Inspector is showing you the source after it's been modified by Javascript and such.
To see the same thing in the source viewer, press '''Ctrl+A''' to select everything on the page, then right-click the selection and choose '''View Selection Source'''. -
Audit of attribute value change: is the old value available?
When changing the value of an user attribute in the FIM Portal, the new attribute value is properly logged. This can be read in the request and in the standard report FIMUserHistory.
The question is, what about the old value that was replaced? Is the old value available in the Data Warehouse somewhere, so one can make a report or is it gone forever (of course one can find the old value by looking at the previous attribute change or creation
event, but this could be too long time ago)?

Didier.As far I remember (I don't have access to test FIM Reporting now) in reports stored on Data Warehouse, there is no such thing as "old value". But as far I remember it, also very old data is stored there, so there can be something like:
User: JJK003 -> New attribute (mail) value: [email protected] (12.12.2013)
User: JJK003 -> New attribute (mail) value: [email protected] (12.02.2014)
so, if you look closely to a history and sort it by user - you can determine what was the old value.

In report, you have always most recent display name of this user and of attribute's display name, but history should show what value was inserted long time ago and what value was set a week ago - than you know what value was there previously.
But please be aware that users report, according to TechNet, does not include all properties:

employee start/end date.

In the BSP component workbench, is it possible to manipulate elements of a view (listbox, inputfields etc., hardcoded using htmlb tags) in the methods of view implementation class. For example, I have a inputfield which is initially invisible. I want to make it visible when a particular event is triggered. I wish to code this directly in the event handler method. As the UI elements (tags) do only exist during rendering phase a direct access from the view controller is not possible - especially not in the forward-oriented way from within an event handler as indicated from you in the posting.
However, it is of course possible to hard-code view layouts; for this approach you can use the BSP view corresponding to the view and code there whatever you like. BSP views can also contain code snippets to achieve dynamic effects. In your example it doesn't look like that you need code at all - you need to preserve the status (visible/ invisible) in a value attribute of a context node and use this value to bind visibility of the input field on the layout.
In CRM 2007, there are two main tag libraries (aka BSP extensions) being used:
- THTMLB (single tags, like input field, button, table, ...)
- CHTMLB (configuration tags; these are available for forms, tables and trees)
You should always use these tag libraries in the first place to assure common look and feel and avoid rendering issues.

Adding new set of attrs with old attrs values
Our DS architecture has changed and we need to change a node in our DS which holds information about our applications.So, we need to add new attributes for all the entries in this node and have these new attributes reflect the value of the old attributes and then remove the old attributes.
If anyone has done this before or has snippets of code please let us know.

Urgent help ----problem of component id and attribute value
I want to produce a dynamic menu that compoment id and attribute value will be dynamic assigned when logon to system. That means i have to use id="#{aid}" and value="#{avalue}" in following codes.
The problem are:
1. Component id looks only accepts constant (hard code data) insteads of varable. I changed id="ADMIN", and it works. It can be empty, and tag will give me one. Therefore, it is not too much affected me.
2. The f:attribute value, when value="Value" works. However, when value="#{avalue}", first time works, second time it throws Illegal State Exception. I really need this value be assigned by varable.
Can anyone help me out?

Its not necessary that VO should be based on EOs, Mani told you a particular case!You need not create a VO object inside a VO for validation purpose, but you can have a separate VO, do your validation! You have look the controller code and see that your validation code goes before the data is committed to DB.

BRF Expression - Implementation class OCA001 - No Context Component Exist
Dear All,
I am trying to create an expression in BRF.
Application class is ISHERCM_PP and Implementation class OCA001 (Access to simple context). As expected after selecting this implementation class Result Type field is not editable. I selected Context 0MODBOOK_CONTEXT, after pressing enter it gives an error message that "First Enter a Result Type". After this I tried to select Context Component, but in F4 there is no values found.
First time I am creating an expression for implementation class OCA001, please suggest, what I am missing.

Can you explain what you want to do in terms of the business process?
When the event is triggered there is no information yet available about the where-used lists
that are created asynchronously after the module bookings are saved. If the module context contained in this structure does not suffice to program a BRF action or expression, the where-used lists can be read from the database additionally*
*Table Type for Program Type (in this and the last field of the structure the where-used lists are
contained in their state before the activity that triggered the event was executed. The current state
must be read from the database if necessary.

Not getting attribute values in IPC routines Scenerio R/3 B2B using AP 7.0

Our Scenerio is using ISA R/3 B2B using AP 7.0. I have developed IPC routines but when i debug my routines in SM53 I notice that I'm not getting any attribute value except for VKORG.
I'm pasting the code below. Please help me if I have to implement some BADI or do something more to get the attribute values.
I have defined the attributes properly in Routine assignment in tcode /n/sapcnd/ueass

How can I access the Attribute Values from the Search Region
Hi all,
I have a table which contains Company id, department id, and PositonId. For a particular Company and Department there may be multiple records.
I have to pupulate a table which contains the position and other details that comes under a particular Department and Position based on the selection in the Three comboBoxes.
Also I have to populate a select many Shuttle to add new postions and records under a particular Department.
I created a query panel *(Search Region)* for the serch and a table to display the data. That is working fine.
Now the issue is I am using a view criteria to populate the shuttle with two bind variables ie, DepartmentId and CompanyId.
If the serach will return a resuktant set in the table it will also pupulate the correct records, otherwise ie, if the if the serch result is empty the corresponding iterator and the attribute is setting as null.
SO I want to access the attribute values from the Search Region itsef to populate the shuttle.
I don't know how can I access the data from the Search Region.
