Select all mail at a time

I have so many mails a day and I'd like to read and delete them selectively.
News letters from shopping mall sites, business mails from partners, customer's feedback mails and notification mails from SNS .....
After reading some interesting mail, there's mails I don't want to open for today.
I mean it's NOT that I stop subscription, just wanna delete for now.
But, there's no "Select all" button in Mail List and I cannot select mails to be removed all at a time.
So, the Mail app force me to tap each mails that I don't need to touch (one at a time... one at a time)
Given that you've got mails too lot a day, the number of times you have to tap would really mass up your day life!
To delete all, We should go to trash box and tap 'delete all'
but before we move each mail we need select all button.
it's deferent delete all and select all. delete all button is enough and useful for now in trash box. I think select all button in Mail Inbox(List) is urgent issue.

If you have iOS7 yes. In the mail list you tap 'edit' and then choose hte mails you want, then at the lower right you'll see the option to trash the mails.
If you do not have iOS7 then you cannot mass delete.

In your inbox in the phone you can mark the mails one by one and then tab delete.
In Trash you can delete all with one tab.

I have a new i phone 4 with the iOS version 4.3.5, when i'm in my inbox of my account, i just can select one by one and delete my message only one at a time. But i have a lot messages, his there a way to check all message when i click on 'Edit'' ??

I know someone will chip in that there is a place to suggest enhancements for iOS devices ( and that this isn't it )..but this would be a nice feature..to be able to select multiple emails...the Blackberry may be a crummy camera and music player, but at least you can select and delete multiple emails.....

Loosing all mail acounts every time I launch Mail

Ever since the first of the year (01/01/2007), Mail has been problematic. It began with losing all my pop account information. I re-entered all the pop settings and all seemed to be back to somewhat normal (albeit I lost all my previously sent mail). All seemed to be working fine until I quit Mail. I was right back to where I was before, I had to re-enter all the pop settings, and once again I lost all my sent mail. It appears that every time I launch mail it seems it's launching it for the first time. Please help, for email is a huge part of my livelihood and having to go to multiple locations to check mail is killing my productivity.
I have a PB G4 running OS10.2.8 with Mail 1.2.5 (v553)
I am also experiencing similar problems when launching Safari 1.0.3 (v85.8.1) and IE Explorer 5.2.2 (5010.1) -- my computer seems to re-set my preferences back to the factory pre-sets every time I launch these applications.

Your problems are not date related or related to anything else than not having adequate free hard drive space.
RAM is important but a lack of adequate free hard drive space is the key here and you have so little free hard drive space available, there is a good chance data will be lost (more than just application preference file loss) unless you free up some hard drive space in a hurry.
What is your hard drive capacity?
The link provided recommends having no less than 5 GB of hard drive space free so you have some work to do.
After freeing up some hard drive space, there is a way to recover all messages but some of these messages may have been lost due to having such a small amount of free hard drive space available.

A parameter that filters and also 'Select ALL' at the same time

I have a situation
1. I have a parameter @Param1 that accepts multiple values
2. I have to display data based on selected values of @Param1
Here comes the tricky part.
3. I have to aggregate on all the available values of the @Param1
Can any body help me in this.
Do i need to take a hidden parameter just for aggregation?or is there any other way?
Any suggestion is very helpful to me.

Based on my understanding, you want to create a multivalued parameter to filter the report, then display the selected values in the report, right?
In your scenario, you could specify a report parameter and give available values. Then add a filter based on the parameter in the main dataset. You could add a textbox and specify the expression using Join() function. Please refer to steps below:
1. Add a report parameter, select the “Allow multiple values” in General tab. On Available Values tab, you could check "Specify values" or "Get values from a query".
2. In the main dataset, go to Filters tab, add a filter like below:

Why is Mail on iOS missing basic features like rules, folders, selecting all mails at once?

Additionaly, why isn't it possible to
– add an image/movie from within Mail while composing a message?
– add multiple images oder movie files at once?
– sort messages by other criteria from within Mail?
– switch between html and plain text formatting?

Because that's how it is. No-one here can tell you why something is designed the way it is.

Pop email account - no option to leave mail on server - no option to select all messages

I have recently obtained a Playbook and I use the latest OS version 2.1.0.1314 So, unlike other users, I did not experience the lack of an email application. I think the email application is excellent but it does have a couple of shortcomings. I would expect an option to leave email on the server when deleting emails on the Playbook. I have checked all the types in setup, not just Pop, and none offer this feature. I am a bit puzzled by another post on this site that refers to such an option. Was it a feature previously? I would also expect a bulk selection option so that all emails could be tagged for deletion without having to tag each one separately. These 2 features may well have been requested from Blackberry already and hopefully they will be included in a future release. Do Blackberry have a Suggestion Box?

Let me try and explain why that option is not required or even relevant to Playbook.
An email Client like Outlook or Thunderbird goes and gets a copy of your email from the webmail and stores it on your computer permanently. That "pop" action very often deletes the webmail version so you have an option to leave it there or not.
Playbook messages app is not an email client. Think of it as a remote control for your webmail. It takes a temporary copy of any webmail less than 7 days old (you can vary it between 1 day and 30 days) and whatever you do with it in Playbook happens to webmail. It uses your webmail's own rules for things like storing copies of sent mail.
If you delete a mail, it deletes it from webmail. If you don't, it doesn't. When it gets to 7 days old it just does not sync with Playbook and you can't see it any more. But it will still be there in Webmail unless you purposefully delete it with Playbook.
If you want to delete a whole page, tap the top one and the bottom one at the same time to select all mails between. It is most effective when in Portrail mode. Remember though this will delete them from your webmail.

Email sometimes only in All mail other times normal mailbox..same sender

Can anyone solve this dilemma ... sometimes an email will go into ALL Mail and other times the email from the same sender will appear in the normal email inbox.. very annoying... the only way I know the email is there if I am checking on my macbook or Ipad... only happens on Iphone.. any ideas

According to the gmail support, the All Mail folder is where you archive your mail when you try to delete from the Inbox. Does this address what you are asking?
No, the "All Mail" also shows the contents of the inbox, sent mail, and archived (trashed) mail when viewed in the Gmail App. In the iOS Mail Gmail account, what shows in the All Mail folder is random.

There is a mailbox that says all mail. In it there are 27,000 messages. Can I just delete the entire list at one time?

Ther is no supported way or feature that allows you select all mail at once for deletion. I was in a discussion where a user came up with a trick that seems to work. Read this and try it.

Not all AOl e-mails appear each time I select e-mail icon

I just bought the Iphone 3G and I seem to be having problems with my AOL e-mails that are pushed to the phone. Sometimes when I select the mail icon all of my AOL e-mails are there but other times, only 2 show up and there is a message that there are 95 e-mails and 2 unread. I then have to select this line and the e-mails start downloading. Shouldn't all of my undeleted e-mails appear when the mail icon is selected and then when selected, any new e-mails would appear. Why would I have to select this line (95 e-mails and 2 unread) to see all of the e-mails that I have read and not deleted.

I had this problem also. Because I was moving over 200 emails, I couldn't not drag them one by one. I followed th eadvice to "archive mailbox" someone here suggested. That works, but the emails are then unformatted and hard to read. I also dragged all the emails after selecting all, into a Pages document. Then I saved. Then I dragged th esaved doc into my burn folder. I burned th edoc and the mailbox archive onto a CD. After checking that it was there and useable, I deleted the document on my Mac, and then deleted all the emails from the mailbox. I was doing this to protect thr privacy of some medical emails while freeing up space on my Mac's harddrive. I hope that helps everyone.

This does not answer/solve the OP's question/problem as they would still have to select each email individually before selecting the "delete all" button. In the end this the same as selecting "delete" on each message individiually.
There is no practical way to do what the OP wants.

You can only delete them one at a time on the iPad. If you have an IMAP email account, go to your email in on the server using a web browser and select as many as you can at a time and delete them that way. That action will be reflected on the iPad. In IMAP - whatever you do on one device syncs across all devices. If you have POP email - start deleting one at a time.

I was wondering if there is a "select all" function in the mail folders on the iPad 2 pr iPhone 4s?
I added an email account to my iPad and it is now in the process of downloading 3,500 old messages that were on the server 50 at a time and I have to go through and select each one with the edit option to delete them in batches.
