Select button won't select...stuck on main menu

I can scroll the main menu so it's not frozen but when i want to select music, photos, or settings it won't do anything. (I cannot see my playlist to select any songs). I can still download songs and turn it on and off I just can't get to my songs to play them. It is stuck on the main menu page.

I have the same problem with mine 4gb second generation nano.. all I can do is skip through the songs on shuffle and I can't leave the menu screen; center/select button doesn't work at all. I can't reset it or anything. Did you figure this out, or anyone have any advice on a solution?

Reboot your iPad and see if that lets it start up properly.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
If this doesn't work, you may have to restore your iPad using iTunes on your computer.

Having trouble creating an On/Off button for the subtitles on the main menu

Hello!
I'm creating a DVD with one subtitle track that I'd like to be ON by default but I want users to have the ability to turn them off without the use of the remote. I was thinking of creating a Subtitle on/off button but can't seem to get this to work even though I've read several tutorials. Do I need to create a separate 'set-up' menu with a 'subtitles on' and 'subtitles off' button?
As of right now I have a single button on the main menu that says 'Subtitles On' which I was planning to be dark blue when active (on) and light blue when inactive (off). See what I'm talking about here: http://pfti.org/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/Screen-shot-2013-07-12-at-1.26.47-PM.png

You set it by changing the menu's property for the default button. This is one of the reasons a separate menu is generally used. If you have a single menu with 3 buttons ("play movie," "subtitle on," and "subtitle off"), and you set the default to "Active Subtitle Track," then your "play movie" button won't ever be the default.
To play with this and to decide how you want your disk to work, create a test EN project with 2 menus. Rename one of them "Main Menu" with 2 buttons "Play Movie" and "Subtitle Setup." Rename the second menu "Subtitle Setup" with 3 buttons, "Subtitle On," "Subtitle Off," and "Main Menu." As noted, the "Default Button" property for the menu "Subtitle Setup" will be "Active Subtitle Track." The button "Subtitle On," using specify link, will link to its own menu, default button, but will specify Subtitle 1. Same for the button "Subtitle Off," except that it will specify Subtitle Off. The Main Menu button simply links to the main menu.
Note that in Encore preview, do not use your computer mouse to hover over the buttons. It will trick you into thinking that you have or have not set the behavior correctly. Use the little remote function in the bottom of the preview window.

Menu button/transitions keeps returning to the main menu instead of staying on the scene selection

maybe someone can help?? please...... Ive had this issue before.. it keeps coming up. I'm using Encore. Everything is good to go. Only issue I have is when clicking "scene selection" it transitions to the "scene selection" page BUT then goes right back to the main menu! None of the other pages do that...... and I tried to see the difference from one page to the next but it all looks correct/the same. I even checked the flowchart too.. BUT still keeps bringing me back to the "main menu"! Any help is appreciated.

What happens is this: When on the main menu page I click the button to go to scene selections. The transition takes me to the sceen selection page and then jumps right back to the main menu page.
It needs to stay on the scene selection page.. so I can select a scene.

Select button won't bulge - Hold perhaps misbehaving?

I've got this iPod 5GB (scroll wheel, 1st generation) bought 2nd-hand off eBay, and I have never used or held another iPod (barring a friend's nano) so I can't know for myself what the normal behavior of the Select button is: is it supposed to depress a little, or is it more like a touch-button?
Reason I'm asking this is because on mine, the Select button feels rock solid, and won't select anything. The only way I can select things in the menus is by switching Hold on and off again, and this seems to be selecting things, albeit in a rather inconvenient way (have to use both hands to handle the iPod). The other buttons around the Scroll Wheel can be pressed just a little, but the Select button doesn't move at all even when I put a lot of force on it. Is that normal? Or should I conclude that something has smashed deep in the underlying mechanism?
Also, is it a fault that if my iPod is switched off (Play/Pause pressed for a couple of seconds) but then I put Hold in the On position (to avoid accidentally turning the iPod on in my pocket), then the iPod comes on the instant I switch Hold to On?
And if either or both of the above are flaws, is anything I can do to fix them? I am willing to open the thing up. Already I have removed the Scroll Wheel and Select button (sticking some electrician's tape and then stretching it which pops everything up), and the central 'joystick' on which the Select button mounts when in place feels solid (apart from being jiggled sideways, it won't go down at all, although it will lift a bit).

Select button won't remove radio favorite stations

I have a 3rd gen and listen to the radio a lot. Over the weekend I tried removing a station as a favorite using the select button as I have in the past, but found it now acts as a play/pause when I'm on the station I'm trying to remove. Same thing happens when I try to add a station. This happens whether I quick click or hold it down for a couple seconds.

The timeline for this being fixed is dependant on many factors, and is not currently available, but this will be implemented with future versions of the software.
As a workaround, ensure that your SMS and MMS messages are stored separately (Messages - Options - General Options - SMS and Email Inboxes) and within the SMS and MMS messages icon, scroll to a date, select menu, and choose "Delete Prior" to remove prior messages of this type.

How to remove multiple selections button in LDB selection screens

I am facing a problem while doing an HR object. I took an LDB with Selection screen '100'. i got the company code select-option in it. But i need to avoid multiple selection button so that i have to take only a single company code to print the ALV heading as the company Text. Please tell me quickly, how can i do it.

Direct select tool won't select anchor points

I can't get the direct select tool to select an anchor point on an embedded picture. I'm trying to squash a square image, but the direct select tool will only select the entire object, not individual anchor points. It worked in version 10, but in CS3 13.0.2 it just gives me the solid points. What changed?

Multiple Selection button on selection screen called in Screen Painter

I have included selection screen(1100) in a subscreen area of a screen in module program.
The user's requirement is that there should be some gap between input field of a select options and multiple selection button.
Though the screen 1100 can be edited by going to the layout editor and the gap can be introduced but everytime the object is released to quality server, the change is undone.
Is there any way to introduce gap permanently?

This mey be due to that the size of subscreen area is smaller then that of selecction screen(1100).
Do one thing....include your selection buttons in the main screen in which subscreen is created. if that dosn't work include selection buttons in your selection screen(1100) and then call it in subscreen.

Dynamic selection button on report RCATS_APPROVE_ACTIVITIES

Hi,
I made a copy of the program RCATS_APPROVE_ACTIVITIES with all its components, and the dynamic selection button on the selection screen doesn't work like the standard.
In my researches, I found that the dynamic selection that the standard program uses is associated to the logical database 'PNP', but the logical database that the programs uses is 'PNPCE', and that's the dynamic selection that my program copy is showing.
Does any one have an idea how this happens and how to solve?

Hi Sonia,
You program is using dynamic selection screen which actually is the selection screen of your logical database. You can see that thru tcode SE36-> PNP->click on selection check box. You will see the code of selection screen. This selection screen is called in standard program and since you have copied the standard program, your program is also showing the same selection screen. LDB can be called in standard program thru Function module LDB_PROCESS.
In case you want to remove some of the selection screen fields of LDB from your report, you can do so in the
'at selection-screen output' event by looping at the selection screen variables and stopping unwanted fields from display.
You need to check the group name and the field name of the fields you want to disable and use it in the below code accordingly.
e.g.
at selection-screen output.
loop at screen.
if screen-group2 = 'DBS'.
screen-active = 0.
screen-invisible = 1.
endif.
modify screen.
endloop.

Menu Buttons won't work after exporting to flash

This is a strange problem, and I can't seem to figure it out.
I've created a demo DVD with my work on it. The DVD navigates and works fine. It has a "First Play" and the end action to the first play is the main menu. There are 6 buttons on the main menu. 2 Buttons link to 2 other menus which have my work broke down by category. 3 buttons link to 3 different and separate timelines, like a graphic montage, replay the first play, and play all. Then the last button just links to my contact info. It all works fine on a DVD export.
When I export to flash, once the first play finishes playing, and the end action is triggered (which is to go to the main menu) none of the buttons will work on the main menu page. If reload the page, and while the first play is playing, I skip first play by going to the main menu (by clicking on the flash button for main menu), the buttons on the main menu will work fine. But once I go to one of the sub-category menus and play something, then click on the "Back to Main Menu Button", it won't work. I am stuck on that sub-menu.
Same thing happens if, on the main menu page, I click on "graphic montage". When the graphic montage timeline plays all the way through from start to finish, the end action takes me back to the main menu, but none of the buttons on the main menu button work. But if I interrupt the "graphic montage" by clicking on the main menu flash button, and go back to the main menu, then the buttons on the main menu work fine. This problem only seems to happen when I click a button and the timeline play in it's entirety. If I interrupt the timeline (say like half-way through) the buttons on the menus will work fine.
I hope this all makes sense. It's hard to explain. But if you do understand what I'm trying to say, any help would be grateful.

I've created a DVD w/ 1 Main Menu & 1 Sub Menu.
Main = Chapter Select & Play All. (both links work)
Sub = 9 links to Chapter Points & Main Menu. (NO links work)
I only have this problem when I export to Flash.
Everything seems to be fine when I preview or create a DVD.
I have tried with Firefox, InternetExplorer, & Safari; both locally and loaded to the server.

If your iPhone display turned black and white after holding down the Home button for 2 seconds, first try pressing the Home button again to go to the main menu (Home screen.)
