Select clips with short cut K board PP CS4

I searched high and low for this but can't find a solution. CS6 seems to be able to create short cuts which would be helpful is there isn't one. I would find it useful especially when animating photos on the time line. So I could move across the time line and see the animation in the control effect panel which would seems easier and quicker with a short cut than the mouse on a double screen.

Ann, going over this again. What I try to say is that if I select a clip with the mouse on the time line (and here I mean a photo) and I have Control Effect open My photo manipulation will show automatically in it and can see all the work I did on the clip. (Zoom, Position, Rotation, Opacity etc...) and so can modify it for another clip or set of clips. I can quickly go through lot of them but I would have find it more practical with a short cut if there would have been one

How can I smooth a clip with part cut out? Someone walked in front of the camera when I was shooting; I removed the frames with the person in them, but this left a slight visual hiccup. What's the best way to smooth this out in APE12?

If you do not have a "cut-away," as Steve mentions, then with those problem Frames removed, I would add a Cross-Dissolve between the two Clips (two Clips, after you have cut out the offending footage), BUT, one thing to consider with any Dissolve Transition, is Handles. You need enough to allow for the Transition - so you might need to Trim the first Clip a few Frames more, and the following Clip, a few Frames less. Need help with short cuts...

Are there any short cuts for replying or forwarding an email without clicking multiple times? I only ask because there are som many neat ones already being used. If anyone has a help, I would appreciate it. One other thing, I ask because I recall my email suddenly doing a reply without me multiple tapping anything and I was hoping that I accidentally and unknowingly ran across a new short cut. Thanks.

Wait cursor not working with short cut keys

Hi,
I have JButton in my application for which i have set the short cut key using
button.setMnemonic(char)
method of JButton. Also i have set the wait cursor for the same button using
button.setCursor(Cursor.getPredefinedCursor(Cursor.WAIT_CURSOR)) .
I am getting the wait cursor if i click on the button,but not when i use the shortcut key.
Why is it like that? Pls help me out.

The number (200) specifies the milliseconds to activate the WaitCursor.
It will work anytime your app is busy for more than that time.

Auto Select Clip with playhead

Hopefully this will be an easy query to answer.
I would like to have premiere auto select a clip on the timeline via the playhead position.
Eg: if I'm using the up & down arrows to go to next and previouse edit, I want the clips to auto select when the playhead jumps to the next clip.
I'm in the process of coming over from Avid but i really miss this behaviour in Premiere.
Can Someone help me out?

Why is there a vertical scroll bar with short page export from FW CS4?

When I view my exported page that is 400 pixels tall, I see a vertical scroll bar on the right of my IE7 browser even though the page is no where near the bottom of the browser. How do I eliminate that scroll bar?

Unfortunately this is not working in IE7. Below is my body tag (I edited the SLICES.XTT to prevent the margins) where I've added the overflow option:

How do I make available saved Short Cuts - Form Functions, available to a select group of GL Responsibilites that can only create Web ADI documents. I only want them to be able to select about 4 to 8 saved Short Cuts, limiit all others and not allow them to create new short cuts using "Save to Short Cut List" or "Save to Form Functon".
Saved functions start with a generic name (Example: xxxxxx - Fun Amts - Single Ex2003). Other form functions not to be assessable with start with a differenct genteric name (Example: yyyyyy - Fun Amts - Single Ex2003).
Responsiblities follow a generic name pattern of: aaaaaaaa Comapny_Name Web ADI, where Company_Name can change by responsiblity. All aaaaaaaa would be allowed access to the same saved form functions.

Key board short cuts

If I use the create new layers panel and click on the make a square with the dashed lines to then fill it in with black or color and the deselect the shape with cntrl+D it will render a perfect polygon, but what if I use the pen tool to draw curves and connect the first anchor point with the last anchor point How I know there might be a way to turn that shape into a type that I can also select it and fill with color but not asking to make or stroke path. I would need help trying to fill in shape with color through the menu task bar on top of the cavas window pane.

You need to open the Paths panel from where you can either Ctrl/Cmd click the work path you have just made with the Pen tool, or click on the 'Load path as selection' button which is third from left at the bottom of the Paths panel. Either method will convert your work path into a selection.

DOing same function as Runtime short cut menus example except with menu ring...

Newbie here: I am attempting to create a slide out menu much like the one in the Runtime short cut menu example (in example finder) except with a menu ring instead of the list box that is used in the example. I have a menu ring with 8 values in it and on 3 of the option I would like a secondary menu that slides out to the side that displays another sub-menu. Can this be done easily/efficiently? I am looking at other alternatives but this option would be the best for my application from a user stand point. Any help and examples would be appreciated.

What is being shown in that example is how you can modify or create your own runtime menus (aka popup menus or right-click menus) for a given control. Basically you customize the menu and then use event cases to handle what to do for the menu selections.
Now a menu-ring control is a different beast entirely, BUT it looks almost exactly the same, so I see why the two could be confused. As far as I know, there's no support in a menu ring for multiple menu levels.
Often times I find that effective labview GUI design (and well, design in general) works best with a compromise of what you imagine for what you can do easily and simply. Flow like water: find a native control behavior that's *good enough*.
But! here's a hack that might get what you want. It sounds like you want the multi-levelness of a right-click menu but without having to right-click? Use a "mousedown?" filtering event to replace left-clicking with right-clicks! Now when the user left-clicks, labview will tell the OS that they right-clicked.

Plotters require continuous paths. Convert the selection to a path and clean it up suitably. Copy&paste it to Illustrator and use it as a clipping mask on your artwork or whatever. You may also need to create a duplicate layer/ separate PDF file file. Talk to the people doing the plotting.

Final cut quits when i use a key board short cut

every time i use a key board short cut on my g4 550mhz 20gb hd powerbook whilst using final cut pro 3 or 4 it quits. this makes it unusable. i have recently updated from osx 10.1.3 to the latest version of tiger ("the most powerful operating system in the world"??) could you please tell me why it dose this so i can fix it. as this has left me unable to edit anything. final-cut won't work and i now have no imovie as tiger dose not come with it.

i was trying to undo edit apple-z and capture apple-8
i had panther installed on this very same computor for a short while and everything worked just fine.
but it was not my copy so it had to go. i only changed from 10.1.5 to tiger because it kept crashing on the internet, but in the prosses messed up final cut pro.

Creating a Windows 7 OS desktop short cut for gmail with Firefox as browser, not internet explorer

I have an HP laptop that originally had Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit OS. I recently upgraded to Windows 7 64-bit OS. I want to generate a desktop shortcut for gmail that uses Firefox as the browser not internet explorer (8). If I use IE 8 as the brower and enter in gmail.com, gmail opens. I can right click on that page and create a gmail desktop short cut with IE 8 as the browser. If I try the same steps using Firefox as the opened browser, I can't create a desktop short cut by right clicking...it is not an option. I can't make Firefox my default browser for everything as my work programs/shortcuts require IE. Again, how do I create a direct gmail desktop shortcut that uses Firefox as the browser, not IE 8, when IE 8 has to be the default browser?

You could create a shortcut to open Firefox with a specific site using a command line argument.
You can copy the shortcut that you use to open Firefox, then right-click on it and choose '''Properties'''. On the shortcut tab, you will see the target, it will look something like this:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe"
You can add gmail.com to this shortcut so it looks like this:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" gmail.com
