'select content delta' option in bw statistics installation?

What is the significance of 'select content delta'? I am trying to install bw statistics datasources from business content. In the document link given below it is specified to use this option. when I am using that option and trying to install it is displaying that the extract structure of one of the datasource is invalid. The same option can also be seen on the top in RSA5.

It can be seen in the 43rd page.

This option compares datasources from RSA5 (available in content) and RSA6 (already activated in the system) and gives you the delta, i.e, tells us which datasources are not yet activated in the system.

Undo the content delta in RSA5

Hi All,
I just clicked content Delta in RSA5 by choosing a node, but all the datasources were chosen. Then i chose a DS(3.x) and activated it in RSA 5 and now there are new fields in the datasource with selection option activatedin RSA6. When i check the Roosfield table, allthe new fields are marked as A(active) under SELECTION field.
Due to this ,after replication in BI side , i am unable to activate the transfer rules. I get a error msg: fields not available in transfer structure.1.
so is there a way to undo the newly occuring fields?How.
2. Is it possible to hide the new fields in RSA6 ? and will it resolve the issue.
The D.S has not been enhanced as i have verified the EXIT, there is no include pgm for this DS.Hence If i delete the DS in RSA6 and re-activate will solve the problem(the new fields must not occur in RSA6).?

Thank you. when i check the fields in ROOSFIELD table in our system, its has been marked as A(HIDDEN BY SAP IN OLTP AND BI). But the same fields are mared as X in our Quality system. So,how can i change the fields from A TO X.If i have access to edit the ROOSFIELD table, can i make the changes directly.
The missing fields are not present in RSA5 in Quality and our system.But in RAS6, the fields are present in Quality and not in our system.
so how to resolve.

Cannot see the delta option in update tab for info package

Hi,
I need to create 3 info packages for a data source.
When I right click and pick create infopackage and go to the update tab to choose delta, I see only full and initialize...
Can someone let me know why, and what should I do to see the delta option for my infopackage.

I mean you may try this following procedure for this error.
Search the init IP
1.     Double click in the IP
2.     Scheduler menu
3.     Click in Initialization options for source system
Select and delete the only entry ( INIT) .
Now go to Source systems -
> right click your source system----> replicate.
Activate your transfer rules, using program RS_TRANSTRU_ACTIVATE_ALL
now try to perform Init again.
It will work.

Delta Option for Generic Data Source

Hi ,
My requirement is Delta Option for Generic Data Source. This Data Source is getting Extracted from Function Module.
For this requirement I have followed below steps.
1) Added the Field (On which Delta gets enabled) to the extract structure by using Append Structure
2) Enabled Delta On this Filed.
3) If I try to save the Data Source, I have gone to a screen where I am able to see 4 coloumns
a) Selection
b) Hide Field
c) Inversion
d) Filed Only known in User Exit.
By default Hide Field and Filed Only known in User Exit check boxes have been checked.
Would you please tell what is the use of Filled Only known in User Exit check biox.
As My data source is getting the data buy using the Function Module, Shall I uncheck this Check Box.

Hi Krishna,
The "FIELD" should be checked if we write any enhancement in CMOD, so that system can identify that this particular field has enhancement written to it,
But even in real time systems i usually find that even though we check the "FIELD" or not , there is no effect .
So Checking "FIELD" or not will not impose any isses .

No show remote content message option after Thunderbird version 31.0 update

Thunderbird version 31.0 updated via its usual automatic update and now I can't see the remote content of new messages.
Through online searches I found references to the fact that the "Show remote content" button is now replaced with a new notification bar with a preferences button to show remote content.
I have no problem with this change except for the fact that I do not get this new notification bar and button, nor the old one, so I'm currently unable to get a message to load its remote content unless I enable the general privacy setting to allow remote content which is far from what I want.
I have also checked the permissions.default.image setting through the config editor and it is set to 1.
I also found search hits suggesting restarting Thunderbird if this new notification bar is missing. I have restarted TB many time and even download the installation file for version 31.0 and re-installed it that way and have also reboot my machine a few times but still no remote content message option.
Please help.

I'd like to know '''why ''' the Tbird team made it more difficult to show remote content. Was there something broken with the simple, obvious, right-there Show Remote Content button? I don't have an issue with providing other options, but for me 99% of the time I ''just want to see the remote'' (usually images)'' content''.

SLD options during EP-7 Installation

Dear all,
I am first time installing the EP-7using Java Stack only on windows, during installation it there is three option for the sld,
1- use existing sld
2- local sld
3- no sld
What is the different effect of these option in the system.
I have choosen existing sld (already defined in solution manager), sld test connection is running successfully, but when I access http://host:port/sld, administration tab is disable and role com.sap.lcr.LcrUser is not present in the system.
Plaese tell me what I am missing, (I had not done ay post installation activities), Please suggest post installation activities also in SAP EP-7 Java Stack on windows operating syatem.

1. SLD:
The System Landscape Directory of SAP NetWeaver (SLD) serves as a central information repository for your system landscape,So at the time of EP7.0 Installation You will get the three options as explained by you.
2.Better to have One Centralized SLD as you selected "existing sld" option.But You need to do some Post Installation activities.
3.If you go to http://host:port/sld ->Administrator tab is disabled because Your "Administrator" user doesnt have Security Role "LcrAdministrator".All these steps mentioned clearly in Post Installation Guide.Please read all the steps carefully and go ahead and Configure your system.

Unable to dispaly selected item in option button

I am having problem with jsp code given below:
1. When user first time render this page , he is able to view all the options which is already stored in vector except "Selezionare provincia"
2. Now if user selects say "provincia2" ,the value selected for "Selezionare provincia" is also get stored in session
3. There are also some more items on the page to select but i am showing you the specific one
4. So suppose if user forget to fill up other data , the exception is thrown on same page,and for that event the value stored in session for "Selezionare provincia" (in our case its "provincia2") is not get displayed as selected value for that list.
5. which means that , when that list is get populated for second time form vector , the stored value should be dispalyed as selected value.
6. i was trying to put my logic by using some flag variable but its not working

Unable to sync new iPhone 4s. I have iTunes version 10.6.1. Using Windows 7. My device appears on iTunes but I am not able to select the sync option and it does not automatically start the sync option when plugged in. Ive tried reseting the device.

I am unable to sync my new iPhone 4s OR my iPod Touch 4 to iTunes.(this is the first time I am plugging them into iTunes) I have version 10.6.1. Both devices are up to date with the latest software version. Once I plug the device in, it is recognized on iTunes.The synce process does not start automatically. I am unable to select the sync option. I've tried reseting the device and restarting iTunes and the same problem happens. I have plugged in my husbands iPhone 3gs and the sync process starts automatically. I have also added my computer as an authorized computer for the new devices. What now?

open disc utility choose the drive you need partitioning highlight the bootcamp partition and click on the minus sign at the bottom left.
after this manually resize your drive by dragging the partition line all the way down and click on partition.

Content Delta in RSA5

In RSA5 tcode in the R/3 system, there is a tab/button called "Content Delta"
What is the use and purpose of this?

When you click on this button it will compare the Business content version and customer version for all the datasources and if any datasources have been deleted, it would add them back in RSA5.

How to go about multiple inclination with different data selection in Delta

We have to copy large amount of data ( more than 42lak of recodes) selectivly from on ODS to other ODS. in delata load ( BW 3.5 enverioment)
I thought of loading data in slices through delta loading with selection condition.
step 1> Do The initialization with selection condition as for calyear =2001 ( Init without data transfer )
step 2> Take the delta load .. it will take all delta record with same selection
step 3> Now I want to do Initialization with selection condition as for calyear =2002
step 4> take the delta now it will take delta for year 2001 and 2002 both Right ?
Here what problem I am facing.. while doing 2nd time initialization it prompt me to delete the last initialization request form scheduler menu.
if i delete the last request .. will it take the delta for previous initialization selection and new initialization selection. ?

You are correct with this scenario normally. The message you mentioned normally comes up when you open a infopackage and don't change the selection first or in case you have overlapping selections with an already done init.

I am installing sap 4,7 ext: 110 in cluster formed with Windows 2003 enterprise and SQL enterprise 2000, the manual of sap says to me that it installs SQL of local way in the node a of cluster, later mind to install service pack 3 in the node a, later mind to install sap in the node a, after that requests to me that realise upgrade of SQL with the Upgrade option existing installation to a clustered installation but that option does not appear to me qualified

Here is a short (not necessarily complete) list of Cluster Option Requirements
- The SQL Server binaries are installed on a local non-
shared drive (Only Node A).
- The disc for the database files and the log file are
belongs to the SQL Server Cluster Group (MSSQL).
- On node B is no SQL Server with the same name (named
instance name or default instance name ) installed.
Check the registry on node B for the branches
HLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server
and
HLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MSSQLServer
Deinstall the SQL Server on node B, if it exists and
delete the registry branches on node B, if they still
exists.
- The executing user for the setup has appropriate
rights on both nodes
(domain administrator).
- The SQL Server database files (master, msdb, etc.) are
on a shared disc.
- Node B is available via private and/or public net.
- The Cluster service is running on node A and on node B.
- You are using the right CD (not mat.number 51011908)
or have set the version by means of the .reg file
sqlverfix.reg (see node 377430).
- All needed discs (SQL DB, SQL Log, Quorum) are on
node A.
Please check all the requirements and run the cluster upgrade of SQL Server again.
