Select different e-mail addresses on new or replying to e-mails?

Using iphone or ipad with ios 7.0.3 I cannot send or reply to emails with my primary email address since I switched to using icloud !!! This isn't using an alias - that works fine, but my primary email address isn't in icloud and I cannot create it as an alias, as it doesn't end in @cloud or me.com etc.
I can choose which email address I wish to use on my imac (also using icloud), but not with iphone or ipad. Why not or what isn't set up as it should be ?
Can anyone help with this problem ?

Yes, use the iCloud one to have that automatically sync from.

  • When entering a new event I select e-mail as the alert and my e-mail address. When I'm done the event shows a different e-mail that I can't delete How do I get rid of this?

When I enter an event I select e-mail for the alert and select my e-mail address from the drop down box. However, the event shows a different e-mail address than mine. I can't delete this wrong e-mail address from the event or from the drop down box. I do seem to get the alert in my e-mail, but don't know if the other e-mail is also getting my alerts. How can I resolve this? My wife has an iPad and syncs iCal through iCloud. Could this be causing the problem?
    Thanks,
    Wayne

    Wayne,
Quit iCal, open Address Book, and click on your card. Then select Address Book>Card>Make this My Card.
If that does not fix the problem, then delete and recreate your card, and once again make sure to designate it with "Make this My Card.

  • I have just upgraded to Mountain Lion and my signatures for my Mail is not showing up. I have the signatures inthe preference panes and selected for the email address, but when I make a new message, the signature shows as none and doesn't give me a choice

I have just upgraded to Mountain Lion and my signatures for my Mail are not showing up. I have the signatures inthe preference panes and selected for the email address, but when I make a new message, the signature shows as none and doesn't give me a choice. Yesterday, the signatures were stacking instead of switching to the one I wanted to choose.

I had this and fixed it.
I had upgraded to Mountain Lion and my signatures in Mail were fine. But then about a week later, I got a new computer and used Migration Assistant to copy my stuff to the new machine. Upon opening Mail, I had all the correct Signature information in the Preferences>Signatures window, but nothing worked.
After lots of hunting, I found the Signature Folder. It's in:
    Yourusername>Library>Mail>V2>MailData>Signatures
Looking at my previous setup (which works) I saw in that folder two types of files: .webarchive and .siganture
Looking in my new machine's Signature folder, I saw only the .webarchive folders, not the .signature folders
Since this was literally a clone of my previous setup to a new machine, here's what I did:
    1. Quit Mail
    2. In Problem machine, go to
    Yourusername>Library>Mail>V2>MailData>Signatures
    3. Move the Signatures folder someplace safe, but out of the MailData folder
    4. Get the Signatures Folder from the working install (like a backup) and copy it to the MailData folder on the problematic machine
    5. Start Mail on the problem machine
This worked for me. I don't know why Migration Assistant didn't copy the full signature folder, but this fixed it. It worked perfectly partly because I had just backed up with Carbon Copy Cloner and the very next day set up the new machine. I don't know where Lion or earlier versions of mail stored signatures, but the absence of the .signature filetype seems to be the problem.
    Hope this helps

If you selected open a new Apple ID account, go back a step and enter use existing Apple ID.
You will have to set up a separate iCloud account or your iPads will mirror each other.

  • Reply-to with different e-mail address

I have two e-mail addresses set up in MAC OS Mail.app. One is @me.com and the other one is my working account. The issue is when I send and e-mail from my working account and the recipient wants to reply to it and presses Reply-to on his/her side - they will still see my @me.com address. How can I set so that when I send out e-mail from @me.com - recipients would reply to that address; and when I mail from my working address they would reply to that address [email protected] one.

When you create a new message, under the subject to left you see a little box with a couple different lines in it. click it, it'll let you select your out going mail server (whatever one you select if someone who gets the message hits reply, it goes to whatever outgoing mail server was select be it MobileMe out going server or whatever)

The new but not-ready-for-prime-time autocomplete method searches for matches that contain the entered text, not just ones that begin with the string. Your options are:
    1) type in longer strings that narrow the search
    2) use an add-on to search just the beginnings:

  • How to use different e-mail addresses

I am new to mac and would like to know how to set up a different e-mail address for each"user". I have one for my business but i dont want that one to be used by my daughter. How do i set this up? Any info would help! Thanx

First you need to get your daughter her own email account with associated emal address provided by your internet service provider used for connecting to the internet which is included with your monthly service or by an email account provider only such as an Apple .Mac account, etc.
Next create a computer login account for your daughter without admin privileges which can be a managed account if desired.
    http://www.apple.com/macosx/features/family/
Each computer login account with OS X has its own Home folder/directory for storing data along with each user creating and accessing their email account only with the Mail application or their email client of choice under their login account.
Each login account has a Shared folder to place files, etc. to be shared by other users under their login account.
You can enable Fast User Switching to make the process of switching between multiple computer login accounts a fast and easy process and for added security, you can disable automatic login for your admin account or globally for all login accounts which requires manually entering your login account password to login to your account during a computer startup, restart and with fast user switching.

Can I sync or merge my music from two different devices if I have two different e mail addresses and apple ids? If so how?

Yes, if you choose the Erase and Sync option (or restore your iPod) you will be allowed to sync your iPod with the new computer.
If you would like to save the content that's currently on your iPod, see this older thread from another forum member Zevoneer discussing the different ways to copy the content on an iPod back to your PC.

Did some one tried with the same scenario? or atleast customization of Mail taskflow?
Please help me with any suggestion.
    Regards.

Not sure why the Mail.app doesn't remember the BellSouth SMTP server selection but you can download a collection of AppleScripts called Mail Scripts at the following link:
    http://homepage.mac.com/aamann/Mail_Scripts.html
The script to use from the collection of scripts is Change SMTP Server (Mail) to switch between different already defined SMTP servers or define a new one. This is especially useful if you are using your computer in more than one location and have to switch servers for several accounts at once.
This will make the process of switching to a SMTP server for all accounts (such as the BellSouth SMTP server now for all accounts) and using it to switch to back to the selected SMTP servers for all accounts when returning home or as required when connecting to the internet with a different ISP other than your own at another location.

Quote: "You cannot merge two or more Apple IDs into a single one. You can, however, use one Apple ID for iCloud services and another Apple ID for store purchases (including iTunes in the Cloud and iTunes Match). See “Using one Apple ID for iCloud and a different Apple ID for Store Purchases” above for details." See also Apple ID & iCloud FAQ: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4895?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US
You can set up your iCloud account on your iOS device under: "Settings > iCloud" and a other account for store purchases under "Settings > iTunes & App Stores". Unfortunately merging accounts is not possible but you could transfer all of your music manually via iTunes from your Mac or PC.

  • MSDS - different e-mail-addresses for the sender

    Hi,
we want to set up e-mail/INT for MSDS.
Depending on the initiator we would like to have different e-mail addresses as sender. At the moment it's the e-mail-address of the batch-user of the job.
    - Can I split the jobs for each initiator? (How?)
    - Or do I have to use programming - if yes, where can I change the e-mail-address of the batch-user depending on the initiator?
    Thanks!
    P.C.

    Hello
please check the available user exits in the report distribution process of EH&S. I am not quite sure but I believe there is no "direct" option to have this split e.g. per initiator or you must use one of the exits. But it is clear one could think about it using programming. In the central tables of report shipment the initiator (or sale org) is a central information which is processed and used (in SAP standard) in many areas in report shipment
In http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_04_sp/helpdata/en/a7/288aa30a6c11d28a220000e829fbbd/frameset.htm and other linked which I checked shortly I found no reference regarding an option like you described.
    PLease check especially this one:
    http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_04_sp/helpdata/en/a7/288aa30a6c11d28a220000e829fbbd/frameset.htm.
Here you get an overview of the process and all user exits which are processed. In principle you can "copy" the SAP one and create a "customer" specific one but I am not sure if you will find a suitable point to handle the eMail topic you mentioned.
    With best regars

Thanks for your response. I do believe I have the information needed for each form on a separate line in Excel. There is a first name, middle name, last name, city, and zip column. And field is entered on a different line for all the information. I'm really stuck.
