Select multiple comments in Acrobat 9

Hi, is there a special way to select multiple comments in Acrobat 9.4.5 Pro? I can't just cmd-click like it should be. Half of my team is on this version and the other half is on X. X does not have this issue. Is this a bug in 9?
Thanks

Hello Sara,
Yes, command+click will work to select multiple comments. However, I'm working with some PDFs that have a substantial number of comments and this is taking quite some time to select them all. Additionally, it is tricky to click some of them, and if I mis-click, all the selection work is undone and everything becomes deselected. I'd like to know if there is a simpler way to select many multiple comments, such as a simple drag selection in Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.

  • Selections multiples en Adobe Acrobat XI?

    Bonsoir,
Je voudrais surligner toutes les occurrences d'un mot dans un document PDF avec Acrobat Pro XI. Avec word c'est facile: la fonction recherche avancée possède l'option surlignage. Y-a-t-il moyen de le faire avec Acrobat?
    Merci d'avance

    Alexandre ,
Refer to the link as well .

The same option you will get under Acrobat XI

  • Acrobat DC can no longer check multiple comments

You guys, I am feeling kind of sad because I can no longer check multiple comments at once.
In the last version of Acrobat Pro I could select more than one comment and then check one of the selected check boxes and all selected comments would be marked checked.  This saved me time when I was working through a couple of hundred corrections in a PDF and wanted to keep track of the ones I'd done.
I'm not sure why this feature would now be disabled in Acrobat DC but I hope Adobe bring it back soon.
Then again maybe there is a way to do it - anybody else worked this one out?

actually there is a way to do it. You have to select the last comment on the list and then press the shift key and check the comment. This will mark off all the comments. This works okay with a document with say 100 comments, but if your document has over 1,000 comments then this is very much hit and miss. In that case you are better off opening the same file in Adobe Reader XI providing you didn't update that.
Abother more irritating bug is the fact that if a word is highlighted then the words are hidden until you actually select the wordAAl
All in all, Acrobat DC isn't ready for production purposes. I wasted many hours trying to use it until I realised that I could still use Adobe Reader XI.

  • Update to Acrobat 9.4.5 breaks selecting multiple document thumbnails

After this update we can no longer select multiple document thumbnails with ctrl + right mouse click in the Pages view.  Our workaround is to uninstall and reinstall Acrobat 9 without any updates.

  • Acrobat Pro 7 Keyboard Shortcut to select multiple bookmarks

I am looking for the keyboard shortcut equivalent of ctrl-left mouse to select multiple bookmarks. Either it can't be done or it is something obscured to my mind.

I'm afraid the exact functionality you're looking for is not available.
With the Edit Selection Tool (aka the G key) activated, you can select the edit points when you marquee drag, rather than selecting the clips themselves. When you select multiple edit points in this manner, it will bring up the Trim Edit window with the highest video layer selected (or, if you've selected only audio, with the lowest audio track selected) but you cannot toggle edit directions for individual tracks.
If you must ripple in different directions, the only method that comes to mind is to activate the Ripple tool, then press Shift and Command while selecting the specific end of the edit point. You can then ripple in different directions using the [ & ] keys (or with Shift for multi-frame ripples).

  • How to select multiple rows from List Of Values

    Hello,
I use ADF 11g to create my list of values (LOV). I want to select multiple rows from it. but i can't.
so how i can select many rows to set them in my adf table.
    Thank in advance

    Hi,
LOV is map to an attribute in the viewObject so it will return only one value or more values from selected row. You can't select multiple rows from LOV.
But you can do this by using popup which you can select multiple rows and insert the selected rows to another table.
This blog post explain how to achieve this :

  • Is there a way to select MULTIPLE tabs and then copy ALL of the the URLs and titles/or URLs+titles+HTML links? This can be done with the Multiple Tab Handler add on; However, I prefer to use a Firefox feature rather than download an add on. Thanks.

Currently, I can copy ONE tab's url and nothing else (not its name). Or I can bookmark all tabs that are open. However, I'd like to have the ability to select multiple tabs and then copy ALL of the the URLs AND their titles/or copy ALL of the URLs+titles+HTML links? This can be done with the Multiple Tab Handler add on; when I download the add on, I get a message saying that using the add on will disable Firefox's tab features. I prefer to use Firefox features rather than download and use an add on. Is there a way to do this without an add on?

    Hi LRagsdale517,
You should definitely be able to upload multiple files by Shift-clicking or Ctrl-clicking the files you want to upload. Just to make sure you don't have an old version of the service cached, please clear the browser cache and then log in to https://cloud.acrobat.com/files. After clicking the File Upload icon in the upper-right corner, you should be able so select multiple files for upload.
Please let us know how it goes.
    Best,

  • Select Multiple Rows in a Table without CTRL

Expecting the user to press "Ctrl" when selecting multple rows is very unfriendly and unintuitive. We'd like the row selection to work as in ALV where you just select multiple rows by clicking on them.
We've set the tables rowSelectable to true and selectionMode to 'multi' but we still cannot select multiple rows without the CTRL hotkey.
This issue apparently [arose before|About selection in the table] but wasn't resolved.

    Hello Marc,
you need to call IF_WD_CONTEXT_NODE->set_selected(index = lv_index) sorry for the typo in my previous comment.
by calling IF_WD_CONTEXT_NODE->set_selected method wont remove the lead selection.
to unselect the records, you can call the same method by passing the FLAG value as abap_false.
so for your usecase the logic will be like this in the ON_SELECT event handler
    1. get the index of the new_lead_selection
    2. check whether this is already seleted in the context node by calling IF_WD_CONTEXT_NODE->IS_selected
    3. if already selected then call IF_WD_CONTEXT_NODE->set_selected( flag = abap_false index = lv_index)
if not selected then call IF_WD_CONTEXT_NODE->set_selected( index = lv_index )
    Hope this solved your problem.

  • Delete Comments - Adobe Acrobat 9.0 - Problems.

We use Acrobat 9.0 for shared reviews using Lotus Notes. Recently on a shared review we have been getting messages after publishing comments and trying to exit the review. The first one reads.
"There are unpublished comments in the file.
You can publish them so that all reviewer can see them, save these comments as a private draft, or delete them."
    With these buttons:
[Publish Comments] [Save Draft] [Delete Comments] [Cancel]
To be on the safe side I select [Publish Comments]to be on the safe side.
Then when I try to exit the following dialog pops up in a box.
"The shared review document contains several comments from other reviewers that have not yet been published to the server. You can take ownership of the comments and publish them on behalf of the reviewers. Your name appears in the title bar of the comments and the original reviewer name appears in the body of the comment.
Do you want to publish these comments."
    This dialog has these buttons
    [Yes] [No]
I select [No] and so far there hasn't been a problem.
Other times this scenario goes on. This dialog box pops up with the following message.
"You have previously saved this file with unpublished comments. Click Publish Comments to automatically share these comments with other reviewers. Click save draft to keep them unpublished."
    With these buttons:
    [Publish Comments] [Save Draft] [Cancel]
I select [Publish Comments]. Which brings up the next dialog box with the following text.
"The document could not be saved. The file maybe read-only or another user may have it open. Please save the document with a different name or in a different folder."
This dialog box has just an [OK] button, which I choose which brings up
    this dialog box again.
"You have previously saved this file with unpublished comments. Click Publish Comments to automatically share these comments with other reviewers. Click save draft to keep them unpublished."
    With these buttons:
    [Publish Comments] [Save Draft] [Cancel]
The only way to close the document and get out of Acrobat is to choose [Save Draft.
My understanding on how this all is supposed to work is:
    Create a document for reveiw.
    Invite Reviewers to review.
Reviews post their own comments and publish them separately, without disturbing other reviewers and their comments or commenting.
When reviewers do not know what to do with all the above messages, my phone rings off the hook with what should I do questions, th
at I don't even know the answer to, much less why this is happening.
Then they are able to exit Acrobat.
I am running XP Pro, with three gig of memory on an IBM Think Centere, printing to a Toshiba printer.

I'm having a similar problem with comments posted "on behalf of" (on another post), but I did learn something that may help your problem about saving the file.  Before closing the file try publishing comments and then do File > Save first.  Then close Acrobat.  When I do this, Acrobat does not prompt to save and then force a Save As.
Acrobat does not seem to work as one would expect, and messages presented to the user are not informative enough.  Also, I have not been able to find documentation on the various messages that appear, and good troubleshooting instructions.
I hope this is an easy software fix.  The concept for shared reviews is great, and I want to use it.  But with a 500 page document, 3,500 comments, and dozens of reviewers, little problems waste a lot of time, money and energy.

  • Cannot open multiple PDFs in Acrobat Reader X

Ever since upgrading to Acrobat X, I cannot open multiple PDFs. With all previous versions over recent years, up to version 9, I could select multiple PDF files in Windows Explorer, hit Enter, and it loaded them all. Then I could Ctrl+F6 to switch between the documents. Quick and Easy.
Now, if I try this with just 2 PDF files, it loads one and then locks up, almost stalling the PC, with each session of Acrobat taking about 40-45% of processor power. I have to crash out of it.
    Help!
[P.S. As an aside, I don't like this floating toolbar that only appears if you happen to move the mouse over the bottom part of the screen. I suppose it's a "neat idea" from one of the programmers trying to be clever. Well guys, it is not user friendly. As a former Software QA and Product Manager, one of my design adages was "DON'T MAKE ME GUESS". Please think again.]

In my case: v10.1.1 would not open more than one pdf at a time on a user workstation (although mine did) so I tried disabling protected mode and made sure the large image display setting was correct.
To no avail. Reinstalled version base version 10, checked the same settings...no joy
Also tried repairing the install and re-updated from the base v10...still no love
Solution for me: Opened reader X, under Help-->Online Support, there is an option to generate a system report which availed the following:
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200
    Version: 7.15.10.9685
    Check: Not Supported
And of coarse the most recent driver was already present. Had to go back to v9.4
All good now. Hope this saves someone a few hours!

  • Selecting Multiple fields from fillable form in Adobe Reader

I created a form in Adobe Pro, and want to be able to select multiple fields to cut and paste the results in other parts of the form.
Does anyone know of a way to do this?
I would appreciate any help! Thankyou

Go to Form Edit mode, and then you can select multiple fields either in the Fields list, or on the page itself (using Ctrl), or by holding down the mouse and dragging the selection square over them. Then just Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V in the other page, and you'll get copies.
Edit: This can only be done in Acrobat, though. Your title talks about Reader but you post is about Acrobat...

  • Multiple copy from Acrobat 9 Pro extended to Excel

How can I select multiple part of text to copy and paste them across cells of Excel?

You should ask this question in one of the Acrobat forums. The following is probably the most appropriate one: http://forums.adobe.com/community/acrobat/creating__editing_%26_exporting_pdfs?view=discus sions
It would be helpful to know the type of things you use Acrobat for. Some features have been enhanced significantly and some functionality you have with Acrobat 9 Extended has been removed.

  • Selecting Multiple Objects with Output Preview Causing Problems

I'm trying to edit a PDF and need to select multiple objects. Without Output Preview open, I can easily select all the items I need using the shift key. With Output Preview open, whenever I try to select the second object, Output Preview creates a sticky note, instead of selecting the second object.
I am also using the PitStop Pro plug-in.
Any idea how to correct this problem? Thanks!

Unfortunately it seems that the new sticky note feature with the output preview in Acrobat XI uses the same keyboard shortcut as multiple selection tool in Pitstop (shift).
Closing the output preview is the easiest way to get around this issue.
We could consider changing the key for multiple selection in PitStop, but 'shift' is pretty much a default, so what could we change it too?
If anyone has any thoughts could they email me, I am the product manager responsible for Pitstop at Enfocus and my email is '[email protected]'
