Select Multiple Folders for Keywording
I'm trying to select multiple folders in the catalog simultaneously in order to add the same Keywords to all of the photos in all of the selected folders without having to do it folder by folder. But although the folders are shown as selected in Navigator, nothing shows up in the main view, and the Keywords section is grayed out. Is there any way of doing this?
Hm... Lightroom remembers filter setting individually for each folder and even for group of folders. So, even if you can see pictures in one folder and see pictures in the other folder, it could be that a combination of both has a filter applied.
Try unchecking
i Enable Filters
from the Library menu while you have multiple folders selected.

When creating a contact sheet in Bridge CS4, is it possible to select multiple folders so that you can pull multiple images? I tried saving a contact sheet pdf while selecting the folders, but Bridge is requesting that I select the files within the folder. ThanksThe only thing I can think of for this purpose is to use the option to show
items from subfolders (in the View menu) and have a flat view for the whole
content of the mainfolder containing the desired subfolders.
If you have only a view items from subfolders instead of the whole content
from that subfolder you are bound to use either labeling or rating and
select them with filterpanel options.
And there is some other thing that comes to my mind, open them in PS and
choose the option to create contactsheet from open files.
However it is to my knowledge not possible to select items from different
folders in one time, neither in Finder, nor in Bridge.

Selecting Multiple Folders in PSE 9 (W7 64bit)
I previously had PSE 6, running on XP SP3. I could select multiple folders and filtering typically included all of my pictures in all directories, not just for the current folder. Now, I can't select but a single folder and when I search, I can only see the results for the folder I select: a single one. Is this a "new" feature of PSE 9 or am I missing something?
Yes, Folder Location view now mirrors the OS.
Use thumbnail view to search the whole catalog. Use the time line slider in folder view (Ctrl+L) to scroll down all your managed folders. -
How do I select multiple contacts for an e-mail?

Hi there Kathy, The easiest way is Window (along the menu bar) > Address Pannel, then you can select multipul contacts and then click the "To:" Button in the top left of the window.

Unable to select multiple images for upload
I have Windows 7 Pro and FF 9.0
I have an online store and am always uploading product photos for items I have listed. I recently switched from XP Pro to Windows 7 Pro. I had no issues with XP. However, now that I have Windows 7 Pro I am unable to select multiple images for upload when using FF. I can only select one image at a time.
The issue is unique to FF. I have tried in several other browsers, and FF is the only one that I am unable to select multiple images from.
I had FF 8.0.1 and upgraded to 9.0... hoping that would resolve the issue. It did not. I have restarted my computer several times which has also had no effect.Hi,

JanYou can schedule a single task or multiple tasks automatically directly from the
dispatch center. The scheduling criteria applied come from Advanced Scheduler.
Make Sure, you have the advanced scheduler. With out Advanced Scheduler and by just using Advice, you can only assign one task at a time.

Search multiple folders for files with same name and create single file
I have a project where I need to search multiple folders for a file name and when found append data from each file to a single input file.
Example
root folder to start search
\\servera\sales
\\servera\it\salesa\cmmstr.txt
\\servera\it\salesb\cmmstr.txt
\\servera\it\salesc\cmmstr.txt
I need to create a a single cmmstr.txt on the root folder. I would like it to be able to run this with parms to pass in folders to search and file names to search and single file name to create. I'm going to have a least 10 differnt files to
search for and create output file for. The folders to search
will somewhat be static.
Thanks.I tested this out on my own seat and I think it should work for you. I wrote it as a function, all you have to do is pass the root folders you want to search and the file your looking for. The function will then search that directory and all sub directories
for that file name. you will also have to provide it a file to append to, if the file dosen't exists the function will create it. If you run into an issues let me know and the links Mike

Can anyone repro this; it's somewhat situational depending on how you organize your projects:
In the project selection user interface, go to export (5th icon from upper right) > choose a desired destination (like Save to Gallery or Camera Roll). Choose a project.
If you have projects residing in multiple folders, try and navigate to another folder by using the "back arrow" icon in the upper left. Once you're out of the folder you just left and try to choose another, PS Touch simply does not respond. (It doesn't lock up; it just doesn't register tapping another folder.) I could have sworn I was able to export images in multiple folder at once before.
Using a Google Nexus 2013 Wi-Fi model with Android Lollipop 5.0.1. I can record a movie if need be illustrating this potential issue.Update: I've worked out the difference between the two sets of errors I get.
The basic error is this:
ORA-00200: control file could not be created
ORA-00202: control file: '+DBLIVE1'
ORA-17502: ksfdcre:4 Failed to create file +DBLIVE1
ORA-15001: diskgroup "DBLIVE1" does not exist or is not mounted
ORA-15055: Message 15055 not found; No message file for product=RDBMS, facility=ORA
ORA-01031: insufficient privileges
However if my init.ora contains the line:
control_files=/opt/oracle/server/10.2.0/dbs/cntrlNEONREL1.dbf
then I instead get the second error:
CREATE DATABASE "NEONREL1"
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-01501: CREATE DATABASE failed
ORA-00349: failure obtaining block size for '+DBLIVE1'
ORA-01031: insufficient privileges
So basically these must be the same error, just in the second case I'm not trying to put the control file on the ASM so it fails at a different point.
But both errors must be because of the same cause, I suppose. -
In outlook mail mails are not getting downloaded and option to select the folders to sync is not visible in the exchange setup

Select multiple channels for one task - control and shift keys don't work
Hi,
Following advice from several other posts, I'm trying to select multiple physical channels from the dropdown list so that I can then use the "unflatten channel string" function later on. It looks like if I hold down either shift or cntrl I should be able to select multiple channels from the list, however, this doesn't work for me. I tried going into the "key navigations" property for the task channel control but it doesn't have any associations listed. Has anyone else come across this and found a fix? I have previously got around this by stating multiple channels with a colon (eg. ai1:3) but this doesn't work for the unflatten function.

Go to Solution.Thanks for your reply Dennis, I see what you mean, unfortunately that doesn't solve my problem so I'm missing something else. I've attached my VIs. I expected that the output from the unflattenstring block would be an array of either the channel references or the names I had given them, and that therefore the "array size" in the 4th pane would be "9" (equal to the number of channels). Instead the output is a an "unnamed task#(some number)" when I look at it with a probe. Perhaps I'm misunderstanding how the task naming works?

Selecting multiple address for 1 email
Selecting multiple email addresses for a single email has become much more tedious. Is there any way to go through the contact list and quickly select the multiple addresses and then have them applied to the email like it was in Mavericks, and Mountain Lion?
Try going to System Preferences/Notifications and drag Mail to the Not in Notifications Center. Log out/in and then re-add it to Notifications .

I have a recurring event (days when I am scheduled to work) at various days throughout each month- not recurring on a regular basis. It's tedious to select each day and then enter "on call" for each day. I'm looking for some way to select multiple days throughout the month and then have that same event entered for all of them. I want to select the total amounts per article per year
and the total amounts per article per previous years
in ONE SELECT statement
When performing the follwing select i dont get the right information:

The cause is a cartesian product because i omit the
column PERIOD, but adding that extra where
(b.PERIOD (+) = a.period) isn't also succesful:

Does anyone know how format this into 1 select statement resulting in on record per year per article.

Selecting Multiple Members for Allocation SP7

Before upgrading to SP7 from SP3, I could select multiple product categories in my data manager for allocation, ex. PROD_CAT_001,PROD_CAT_001,PROD_CAT_001 and then my allocation would run smoothly. I revised my code as shown below but I still get the same error. I really want to avoid selecting all product categories since there would be 450 members so I don't use select statements. I just want to select the product categories that have values so there would be no need to loop all 450 members because it's causing my logic to hang when validate and save it. Any suggestion on how I can select product categories that have value only?

Selecting multiple tracks for score purposes
I posted an earlier question about how to have the score reflect multiple tracks. What I have discovered is that the Score mode only displays the selected track, although the Piano Roll mode, which I have used for composing, will display all selected regions. I have researched the forum entries and no one seems to have an answer as to how to select multiple tracks. Apple-A doesn't work on tracks, and shift-click or apple-click doesn't either. What is the secret? Previous replies to others' similar questions actually questioned why you need it anyway. Multiple track scoring needs it!

HerbFox, I appreciate the time you must take to answer all these questions. I did what you suggested, but it still is not displaying the two instrument tracks I set up in a score set. Some more interesting phenomena: I tried merging regions, but got a composite staff that wouldn't work. When I undid the merge, an amazing thing happened: The score showed both parts! But as soon as I selected a region, the score reverted to the one track. The only other clue to the problem is that the two original regions were set up as midi, but the notes were entered with the step entry keyboard.
Any ideas? Should I dump preferences and restart (an old Final Cut Pro technique)?
