Select one option with keyboard

Hi everyone!
I have a little question...
For example when i close one application appears a window with diferents options such as "don´t save", "save", "cancel".. how can i choose one of this options with the keyboard? I only can select with mouse....

There is a Mac Help topic which you can access by selecting Help Menu when in Finder that you can search for by using the search terms "shortcuts for dialogues" which I beleive is what you are referring to.

Reducing Select list options with keyboard actions - JavaScript help

My users want a select list with similar functionality to one in MS Access. They want to put the focus on it, then start typing and have their keystrokes 'search' the options. For example, if the select list contains the following entries:
11111
12345
22222
33333
44444
55555
and they type 1 then 2 then 3, they want the element 12345 to be selected, however, an HTML select list widget selects 11111 then 22222 and finally 33333.
I'm hoping JavaScript might be able to do this but I don't know how to code it. I've searched this forum and other web sites but have found nothing useful.
So, is it at all possible and, if so, can you give me an idea of what triggering event to code for and what code to use?

If the select list is fixed, you don't need to pull results back from the server as the user types. Then you could try something like this:

Selecting multiple cells with keyboard command?

Is there a way in Numbers to select many adjecent cells in a column without using the mouse? I have a document that has thousands of rows, so selecting 2000 cells in a column with the mouse for example, obviously takes forever. I would love to be able to give the command 'select A1 to A2000'

I didn't want to select the full column, only part of it, like 2000 cells somewhere in the middle of 4000. But your tip made me play around with the Command and Shift keys and I figured out a way to do it. I selcted the full column, then I Command-clicked on the first cell I wanted to in my selection. That made a 'gap' in the selction. Now I went to the very top of the document and Shift-clicked on the first cell. Then all the cells above my first target cell was de-selected. Then I did the same thing and Command-clikced on the the last cell I wanted to highlight, and then went to the last cell of the document and used Shift-Click do deselect everything below the last cell I wanted to select.

I think I see:
You want the longest spilotnum that starts with the same charachters as the parameter.
You can do a Top-N Query like this:
WITH got_rnum     AS
     select e.*

     where      '123456'     LIKE SPILOTNUM || '%'

How to keep the selection as the old when I select one and click the submit

store the parameter names and their corresponding values in a variable, say Hashtable. After you do the submit, you can retrieve the values from the hashtable.
example:
if you have these parameter names:
"name", "age"
then you can do:
Hashtable h = new Hashtable();
h.put("name", request.getParameter("name"));
h.put("age", request.getParameter("age"));Have this hashtable available in your response jsp so you can retrive the old data.

Without Mouse: Toggle between selected timeline video clips- Keyboard Only Method

Simple Question, but can't able to find the answer on internet.
How do I select the timeline video clip without clicking on it with mouse help?
All I want to do is, select the video with keyboard only. And switch the cam layer on cut. In other words toggle the selected clip on cut points, with keyboard only.

I'm not sure exactly what you mean when you say "the timeline video clip" but here are a few keyboard shortcuts that may help: the q key toggles between the Timeline and the Viewer windows; if the Timeline window is active, the up arrow key moves the Timeline playhead to the previous edit; the down arrow key moves the Timeline playhead to the next edit.

Hi Prabhu,
I have two radio buttons ex: R1 and R2 and three Fields Ex: Vendor, User Name and Password.
When I select R1 Vendor field should be Visible and when I select R2 Vendor field should be invisible.
I created one attribute of type WDUI_VISIBILITY and binded in Visbility property of Vendor field.
On action of R1 I am setting attribute value as Visible using Set_attribute method and On Action of R2 I am setting BLANK in Set_attribute method. But somehow I am unable get the solution......

Query variable : selection option with no interval

Is it possible to define a query variable as selection option, with no interval (like in abap).

This should be possible through multiple single value variables, but to ensure that the user has not in input the same charateristic value for exclusion and selection you may choose to write customer exit at the background.
I think interval and select option would allow 'To values'.
So I was wrong in what I said before. SORRY
However multiple single value would not allow exclusion, I think.
Your scenario would only be possible by excluding multiple single values in variable type select option and process the variable using customer exit, to trmove all to Values.
But you are right, you cannot have your scenrio handled , I think.
( ie multiple exclusion in from values with no To Values )
One more way is restrict your characteristic by two input ready variables, one select option for exclusion and have a customer exit to delte all inclusion that were input accidently and one multiple value ready for input variable.
But, all in all, there would be no straight drive through this I think.

Submit selection screen options of one report to another report

My requirement is as follows . i have a report with a selection screen .The report fetches data from a ztable according to multiple parameters and select options in the selection screen. The mandatory parameters are two diffrent dates according to which the data is fetched. If one of the dates is the CURRENT date then the data to be fetched is not present in the Ztable as the data is updated daily at midnight. What is required if the user enters the current date in one of the dates then my report should save the selection screen parameters present in therest of the select options and submit these parameters to the second report which updates the data into the table so that my report can fetch it accordingly. If i am getting a bit confusing i am sorry . This is the best i could explain .If any clarififcations are required please ask. Please could u help me with this problem and guide me how to do this . Thanks in advances and helpful answers will be rewarded.

When you start an executable program using SUBMIT, there are various additions that you can use to fill the input fields on the selection screen:

Not able to load page with contents to be shown on selecting first option

I have one.jsp which has a select box whose values are got from the database..on change of option, the two.jsp is excuted (which includes one.jsp using one.jsp) and the corresponding results are shown...
As of now i am using the select box with the first option as "select the option"..
Now in the select box, i dont want the use
[<option>--Select the option--</option>/code]
...i want to load the select box with the database values in one.jsp and load the corresponding contents to be shown for the first option value automatically using two.jsp by default...
can anyone help me out in this....Urgently needed

Let me try to explain this with example:
Say The select box contain these values: Fruits and Vegetable which say are retrieved from the database.
the onchange function retrieves the following if Fruits are selected:
Examples of fruits: mango,apple
Similarly if Vegetables are selected, the followin is displayed:
Example of Vegetable: Raddish, Carrot.
Since i was using the "Select a option" as the first option, when i clicked on fruits the examples of fruits are displayed and if i select vegetable the example of vegetables are displayed.
Now i dont want to use the "Select a option". I just want to show the option values as fruits and vegetables and by default the examples of fruits should be displayed. If i select vegetables the examples of vegetables should be selected.
Currently what is happening is that i am not able to show the examples of fruits by default. Secondly, I am able to show the examples of vegetables on selecting the Vegetables from the select box but if i select the Fruits again, the examples of fruits are not been displayed.
Hope you get this better now...Any solutions...

I have a unusual reqirment of creating a select-option with no intervals obligatory and a parameter on a single line. Is this possible? Can any one please provide me a solution for this. I reffered to the SAP help and what i found out is a single line can contain only parameters.

Moving selected objects up and down with keyboard is automaticly applying a colour fill.

Hi,
My InDesign is strangely applying a colour fill when i move an objects up or down using the directional arrow in my keyboard. If the colour pallet is open. Nudging an object up makes the pallet disappear on the first press. It then reappears on the second press while filling the object (text frame) with black. This is instensly frustrating. How can I stop this? Suggestions would be very appreciated.
I have already reset the preferences.

I have to ask if you reset the prefs uing one of the methods in this thread: Replace Your Preferences If not, there's a good chance you left out one of the files, so please try again using one of the listed methods. And please tell us the OS and your version of ID, including the patch level. Obviously this is not normal behavior. It sounds as if the Swatches panel has focus when you are pressing the arrow keys.
