I can't select words from different paragraphs at one in Pages 5.2.2
I usually did it on the other version of Pages.
Can somebody help me ?

How to display selected records on one HTML page?

Hi,
I would like to display selected part of records on one page in HTML region. For example I have a Master - Detail table set named Procedures and Tasks (each Procedure can have one or more tasks)
I would like to be able to display all Tasks for a given Procedure in one HTML region on a page... The problem is that the number of tasks vary between procedures and can change in time. Also, the 'task description' can be very large so a simple report list of all tasks is something I cannot use... (I would like eg for the task name to be here, and the task_description to be there - unlike the report where everything is in one line...) The following are my ideas but non of them seemed to be feasable here...
1. Use a report based on vertical columns (However I am using Theme 10 for which there are no vertical column templates. The only vertical templates I can see are the default ones but I have no idea how to customize them - where are they?)
2. In HTML region use &ITEM_NAME. substitutions. In order to display more than one &EMN_NAME. (based on eg. EMPID) I suspect that I would need to write some kind of javascript loop. Has anyone have an idea about how would such a script look like?
3. Display each Task in a separate screen. This is something I would want least but better than nothing - to have a customized report which would display one task at a time with some kind of pagination to it...
Please let me know if someone has tried something simmilar or maybe there is a 4th option which will be simpler and easier...

Just to answer this one myself....
In order to achive the above I used a PL/SQL Dynamic Content page and entered a html content in htp.prn('');
Then, I created a PL/SQL LOOP which searches through the various rows...
In the end, whenever I wanted to display html content I just used htp.prn and for variables I used htp.p(<var_name>);
Maybe, it helps ;)

It's a bug striking in long documents.
Select a word somewhere higher in the page then use the arrows to reach the wanted insertion point.

What font? What system? What Glyph? What language settings? Could be anything. Either way, ask in the AI forum. You'll get quicker answers there - if you provide all the required info.

Touch and hold on one object > tap other objects to select them too.

Viewing PDF file as one continuous page - Like Word "Web Layout"

Is there a way to view a pdf file as one continuous document without the page breaks? (similar to the way you would view "web layout" in Word)

You would have to create the entire PDF document as one single page. Just set the PDF page size to a size large enough to hold all the contents of your Word doc. Of course, if you're distributing this PDF, it will make it harder for people to print it.

Hi Jon,
Try placing your curser in the middle and click on that page a few times. Often this will make it available for editing.

About word doc as web pages

hi !
I accidentally saved a Word document as a web page !! It opens in Safari, with my students names etc…
I don't want that at all !
how do I cancel this page ? (destroy it, annihilate it ?)

If you mean the doc which became a web page, it doesn't exist anymore: I canceled it from the Temporary items file in the User/Library/cache… The doc I now have is the original word.doc and that one is fine.
And: I don't have a mouse with right and left clic !!
That you see the document NOW in Safari is because you saved it like that as a web document. This doesn't mean that every one can see it. Only when you upload the file to a webpage or your webpage "when you got one"

Converting chart from Word for Mac to Pages

In converting a two page chart from Word for Mac to Pages, only page 1 converts. But because of the way I built the chart, I can't cut and paste one page at a time from Word and then convert. Word insists on selecting both pages. Anyone have an idea short of redoing the chart from scratch in Pages?

I'm not sure I follow you. Did you try copying the data from the chart in Word and paste it into the chart editor for a new chart in Pages?

How do you multi select words/sentences etc... In Mavericks?

In Mountian Lion, to select more than one item, e.g. a word, or sentence plus another word or sentence, you would hold down Comand (cmd), but in Mavericks this doesnt seem to be working. I can't find it in setings, originaly I thought the problem was with the new Pages 5.0, but then I reaslised it was system wide.

Non-contiguous text selection is broken in Pages I know but it works in Work and TextEdit for me. It doesn't work here or in Mail. Seems to be a mixxed bag. The programs I most use non-contiguous selection all seem to work so I don't know what to say :-(

Showing selected parameters values on each page in SSRS

I have a SSRS report with multi-selection parameter..Basically it's a summary report of sales and based on country parameter I have to show data.
let say Country is the parameter and below are the values of the Country parameter list...
Parameters list:
All
Australia
England
Canada
Italy
Parameter: All
1) If I select 'All' in the parameter list then
In 1st page I should see data related to Australia and display parameter value as Australia in the left side top corner of the report.   In 2nd page I should see data related to England and display parameter value as England in the left side top
corner of the report.   In 3rd page I should see data related to Canada and display parameter value as Canada in the left side top corner of the report. In 4th page I should see data related to Italy and display parameter value as Italy in
the left side top corner of the report. In 5th page I should see data related to All and display parameter value as All in the left side top corner of the report.
2) If I select Australia and England in the parameter list then

According to your description, you have a report with a parameter for selecting countries. Now you need to display records for one country and show the country name on each page. Right?
For this requirement, we need to add a parent group (Group on Country) so that we can set page break for each country. Also, we want to display the country name on each page. This country name is group name, not the parameter because the parameter contains
all countries that we have selected. In this scenario, we just need to set the group name as page name, then display the Page Name (Build-in Field) in report header. You case has been tested in our local environment. Here are steps and screenshots for your
reference:
1. Create a table in report. Set detail rows group on Country. Set page break between each group instance.
2. Create a parameter for filtering data. Set Filter on tablix.
3. Go to Row Groups, select group Country. In Tablix Member Properties grid, go to Group->PageName. Put “=Fields!Country.Value” in expression.
4. Create a textbox in report header. Put Page Name (in Build-in Fields) into the textbox.
5. Save and preview. It looks like below:

Thanks a lot for the information. It worked.
The portlet data can be accessible using bindings, but parameter name can be different.
Meanwhile I have got one more scenario, where the Portlet and Task Flow placed in different pages of WCP Application. On change of data in the Portlet the application should navigate to another page where the Task Flow placed and displays selected data.
Basically I can not use any button for navigation. The navigation should happen once I do some action in Portlet.
Is this possible? If yes can you please let me know the steps?

I can only watch or use one web page at a time. I f I try to get on something else it will knock me out of what I was doing on the other page.

How can I select more than one song from the search results?

I want to create playlists based on certain words in the song title. For example, I may want to create a playlist of all my songs with LOVE in the title.
Doing the search is easy, but I can't select more than one song at a time. Is there any way in iTunes 12 for Windows to do this? I found an answer in iTunes for Mac, and it basically says to "un-check "Search Entire Library." " but I don't see that option in iTunes for Windows.

Found the "Search Entire Library" option - click on the small (VERY small for my eyesight) down arrow next to the magnifying glass. Also need to select "Filter by: Songs", and then the songs in the main window show the results.
I'm going to leave this up on the board because 1) in case someone else has this question, and 2) I don't know how to delete it anyway.
