Selected Objects - not highlighted

Just had my PC rebuilt....now new install of CR XI( 11.0.0.895) does not show selected fields with the bold border like before.
I cant tell which fields are actually selected.
Is there an Option setting for display properties of 'selected' fields?

That was it, must have been patched along the way.
I'm now at 11.5.8.826 with CR XI Release 2 SP2

Objects not highlighting in the navigator

when I click on an object in the layout model it doesn't highlight in the object navigator. This is a fairly involved report and this is very annoying. has anyone ever seen this before. Do I have some parameter set incorrectly. Thanks.

I'm answering my own question. If this happens to you just save your work and close the report if you can. In my case when I went to close report builder it abended with an addressing error. When the product came back up and I opened the rdf everything worked normally.

when i select the" track volume" in garageband the drop down suggests "add automation" you then can control effects and other things on the time line
...but when i select the effects show up as grey and not activated therefore no change ...
has anybody come accross this ...tell me..??

But when reinstalling garageband not all of the software instruments were loaded...
And when I try ...lets say a trumpet it tells me I need to update and when I go to App Store it tells me no update

Did you uninstall all library files (instrument library, loops), when you reinstalled GarageBand? Then most of them need to be reinstalled by downloading the additional content from the AppStore. If you do not see any downloads there, make sure, you are signed in with your Apple ID and reload the "Updates" tab ⌘R.
But different things worked for different people - here is a long thread on all the things people have tried to convince GB to download the loops again.

Highlight Object Under Selection Tool not working?

Hello,
After the latest update 10.1.0.70, obejcts under the selection tool are not highlighted. Has anybody else encountered such issue? I reset InDesign to its defaults, but that didn't help. Any suggestions?

JTree calling setSelectionPath() does not highlight new selection

I have looked throughout many forum entries and this question has been asked a few times but I have not seen a solution that works at least for me.
When I do the following:
          TreePath path = new TreePath(...)
this.tree.setExpandsSelectedPaths(true);          // not sure if I need this
          this.tree.getSelectionModel().setSelectionPath( path ); // this alone should work correct?
          this.tree.scrollPathToVisible(path);
The original selection disappears (no highlighting) but the new one selected does not
I have also tried calling just for fun ...
     this.tree.getSelectionModel().resetRowSelection();
and this.tree.getSelectionModel().reload( path.getLastComponent() );
Does anybody have an idea of what may be going wrong ? The selection path is valid as I have verified it with the debugger.
Any ideas or suggestions are much appreciated

The devil is in the details... Unfortunately your case's details are in the ellipsis! :o)
Try to provide an SSCCE to get informed help, otherwise you can only hope that we guess well. That being said, here is my "guess":
A preliminary: JTree renders selection by comparing nodes pathes with the selection path(es).
As is common in the Java world, these comparisons rely on the equals() methods of the objets that make up the TreePath's components.
If any of the classes involved does not override equals, the corresponding components objects will be considered equals only if they are identical. In other words, a TreePath which contain a "new" instance of whatever class that does not override equals() will never be considered equal to any TreePath created formerly.
Now comes the gory part: DefaultMutableTreeNode (which is the most often common build block of TreeModels and TreePathes) does not override equals().
So if your TreePath are made of DefaultMutableTreeNode components, they will never be considered equal unless they use the same DefaultMutableTreeNode instances, which would somewhat not be a common nor practical way of building TreePathes.
The original selection disappears (no highlighting) but the new one selected does not Under my assumption:
- the original selection disappears (because by construction the original selection's TreePath it is not equals() to the TreePath passed in argument to setSelectionPath(...)).
- no new selection is rendered (because by construction no TreePath in the JTree's model can be equals() to the TreePath argument).
Does anybody have an idea of what may be going wrong ? The selection path is valid as I have verified it with the debugger.Under my assumption:
- you may have verified that the TreePath seemingly contained the expected values (often rendered in a debugger using toString() calls)
- you may have overlooked that the TreePath components were not the same references.
- you may not have executed step-by-step the TreePath.equals() methods nor the equals() method of the path's components.
Keep in mind that this is just an assumption, based on your code fragment (and on prior painful experience with JTree). If i'm off base and you still need help, please post an SSCCE as sugested previously.

Slices in Save for Web not highlighting when selected in Photoshop CS5.5

Lately I've just noticed when I select slices in Save for Web the newly selected areas do not highlight in their normal yellow colour. They are however selected and save correctly if I do save them. If I toggle slice visibility off and back on again they selected slices become highlighted but it's kind of a pain. Have I done something to cause this or is this a known issue with one of the updates?

Why is selected text in the Twitter search box not highlighted?

Selected text in the Twitter search box is not highlighted. It should be highlighted. So far as I've noticed, this is the only place where my system doesn't highlight text properly. I can't find any references to this problem with the Twitter search text highlighting anywhere from anyone other than me.
I'm using Firefox 12 on Windows XP Home with the XP classic theme.

The word "This" in the above image should be highlighted.

Such issues have been reported as caused by a PNG image with a white color for the background.
A right-click on that search bar and opening the Inspector and disable the .global-nav .form-search .search-input { []background-color: transparent;} rule also makes this work.<br />
This works only as long as the search bar has focus.<br />
Not sure which rule is causing the selection not to work if the focus is removed.

Why JTextArea.select(int,int) not Highlight in java 1.4

Hi guys
Does anybody know why JTextArea.select(int, int) not Highlight the selected text in java 1.4. But java 1.3 works. Does java 1.4 change to use other method to hightlight the selected text in JTextArea? Thanks in advance.

When printing from web pagess, right margin cuts off print, cant seem to reconfigure. Frames select on print choices does not highlight for printing options. What will help?

Using a Dell Dimension E310 with Windows XP and Dell photo 924 Print/Scan/Copier. When printing from web pages on the browser the right portion of the print is cut off. It appears that the "folders" frame on the left side of the page is always printing with the page, which cuts off the print on the right side of the main page frame by the width of the "folders" frame. When I select the print command, the choice for selecting a particular frame to print is on the drop down menu, but is not highlighted for use. We have had this problem with Firefox for some time. Printing from IE or Word, etc. does not produce the same problem. We like Firefox otherwise. What is the fix?

You're right: most web pages do not use frames, so that option usually is not available.
I don't know why a page that printed just the main content before would change to printing with useless sidebars. Can you try the site in Firefox's Safe Mode and see whether it prints/previews correctly there?
First, I recommend backing up your Firefox settings in case something goes wrong. See [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Backing+up+your+information Backing up your information]. (You can copy your entire Firefox profile folder somewhere outside of the Mozilla folder.)
Next, try starting Firefox in Firefox
[http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Safe+Mode Safe Mode]. Be careful not to "reset" anything permanently if you didn't back up.
Does that fix it? If so, the difference usually is caused by one of your add-ons. You can restart the regular way and disable all non-essential add-ons here:

In particular, check the Extensions category.

To Value not highlighting in the Infopackage Selection

Hi All,
I am extarcting the data from the IS-Utilities(R/3) to the BI system, my datasource is 0UC_EDM_02, in the Infopackage - dataselection for the Profile infoobect, it is highlighting only the FROM Value and TO Value it is not highlighting,
I checked in the datasource 0UC_EDM_02, the Profile field is used as selection field,
but in the infopackage, TO value is not highlighting, i need range of values to be given in the infopackage,
Please, suggest on this

but, FROM value , I could give Input and TO Value it is not active or not highlighting to insert some Profile Value,

Looks like this bug was fixed as of yesterday - I'd like to know
when there will be a patch available to users. I bought Flex 3 just

I forgot to mention one point about copying shape layers into one shape layer: when you initially use the Shape Selection tool to select a shape for cutting, make sure the option for the Shape Selection tool is set to "Add to Selection".

The new iTunes has a somewhat different look from the previous version. You can get the old look back if you prefer it by doing View > Show Sidebar in iTunes. Or you can adapt to the new look.

"You are not authorized to download selected object" when trying to download SAP Kernel 7.21 EXT PL 500 with DL

Hello everyone,
Yesterday (April 30, 2015) SAP released the new patch 500 for SAP KERNEL 7.21 EXT 64-bit.
I am using Download Manager and I was able to download the Kernel Part II (DB-Dependent) .SAR file and other files as you can see in the screenshot, but for the Kernel Part I and disp+work files I get the error: "You are not authorized to download selected object".
On the other hand, I am able to download older versions of the Kernel Part I (SAPEXE_XXX.SAR).
Is this a technical problem on SAP side (SMP)? Did anyone encounter the same issue and found a solution?

Select Object tool not working

Newbie here. I used the Select Object tool once on a document.
Clicked on the tool on the toolbar.
Clicked once on the page.
A blue box appeared.
Then I double-clocked to edit.
Well. Since then, no amount of clicking is getting the blue box to appear.
Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?
I'm trying to remove one line of text. Any better way, perhaps?

Are you trying to select graphics, text, or something else. If you select graphics, then typically a double click with bring up the default editor to edit that graphic. It may be that you do not have the editor specified or on your system.
For text, use the text touchup tool.
