Selected Parent is not defined in CONSGROUP dimension ( SAP BPC 7.5 SP08)

Helllo
While updating the Dynamic Hierachy getting the below error.
Selected Parent is not defined in CONSGROUP dimension
Any Clues.
my Consgroup dimension is below
ID     EVDESCRIPTION     PARENT_GROUP     CURRENCY_TYPE     ENTITY     GROUP_CURRENCY     STORE_ENTITY     STORE_GROUP_CURR
Thanking you in advance

Hi,
I think you have resolved this issue
I am able to mapped all entity except 1 in DHE.
I even updated ORG_INTCO as I_NONE.
Still I am unable to mapped this entity with group entity as I am getting subject  error.
Mine is sub-parent scenario, ie. the parent in question has 2 child which are properly mapped but linkage of this sub-parent to parent is not showing due to subject  error.
Any thoughts.

Paresh

  • Parent is not a valid member error in BPC

    hi all,
    i use SSIS package that upload members to BPC dimension and it worked successfully.
    But when i try to process dimension the following error appeared
    "  - Parent is not a valid member. -  Member ID : [Insurance],  Property Name : [PARENTH1],  Property Value : [AccruedExpenses]"
    Although that  i have this parent [AccruedExpenses] member in mbrAccount.
    your help is so appreciated
    Thanks in advance

    Heba,
    We ran into the same error (parent not valid, even though the parent was a memeber) when automating our dimension processing......
    Try looking at the data in your source table (for example, using Query Analyzer).  Do you have records with "NULL" as the value for one or more columns?  Not blank values - but values that in the query output actually have the letters NULL.  If so, you may have the same issue we had.....
    We found that fields on the source table that we were not specifically updating via the SSIS package (because we did not have any data from our source system) were getting filled with "NULL" - an example of such a field for us as NEWID.  The IDs coming from the source system will never change, so we did not have a NEWID value in the file we were mapping to our source table and so at first we just ignored NEWID field in the mapping in the SSIS package.  After getting the "parent is not valid..." errors, we updated the SSIS package to map something to all fields in the source table - if we didn't have a value from our source file for a particular field, then we mapped '' (two single quotes) to the field.  After making the change to the SSIS, we no longer had NULL values on the table and we also no longer go the parent is not valid errors!
    Also as a head's up to something else we learned the hard way.....  Make sure you are populating the CALC, DIMCALC, and ISBASEMEM fields on all your members with the appropriate value ("Y" or "N").
    Good luck!

  • Why not displayed new member in dimension sap bpc?

    Good day guys
    I have the following problem:
    Add new members to a dimension but not displayed.
    example: DIMENSION(inputcurrency) added MEMBER: MXN (Mexican Pesos); when I excel interface I can not see the new member, before this process the dimension and active AppSet.
    that could be?
    Use SAP BPC 7.5 SP8

    Hi Bish,
    Without processing a dimension the data should no go to the database. If you modify the the dimension and you want those new members in report you have to process that dimension. And if you save that dimension after modification its save the members in application sever. while retrieving the data it pick up from the database layer not from application layer, So the on fly calculation are  stored in application layer( Like conversion files, Transformation files, script logics and Member formulas). So if you want the new members in report you have to process. Its by SAP design it self.
    After modification of dimension no need to logoff and login every time. In order to avoid that option we have a anothe solution that is  Activate Metadata Cache option.
    In order to use that go to EPM--> User OPtions---> Activate metadata Option
    You can clear the metadata cache. When the cache is cleared, the structure of the data source you are connected to is synchronized with the structure copied locally; which means that the members of dimensions that have been added, modified or deleted in the data source are loaded.
    For more details related to  Metadata option go to the EPM 10 Office Addin User Guide document which is available in google free of cost

    Hi,
    First of all, can you please elaborate what you want?
    secondly, why don't you transport your developments to QAS?
    Third, what is the reason behind changing the receiver RFC adapter parameter to QAS?
    4th, do you want to post data to QAS, if yes, did you transported the RFC to QAS ? Please re import the rfc to your swcv from QAS system.
    Please check communication channel if you getting any error?

  • Sales tax data do not define output tax

    Dear Experts,
    I am creating contract and getting following error  'Sales tax data do not define output tax' in SAP REFX contract
    I have done the following
    define tax types
    define tax groups
    define tax codes
    Assign tax code to tax type and group
    Assignment of tax transactions key
    Assign country to calculation procedure
    Have i missed something? If you see the contract the tax rate  10% is getting picked Please help
    Thanks Regards
    yezdevan

    Hi Vasudevan,
    Check the following checklist and try.
    1. For tax code used, check for percentage value maintenance for the relevant condition type in transaction FV13, if maintained check for date validity and deletion indicators.
    2. Tax code should be assigned to company code at: Logistics - General -> Tax on Goods Movements -> India -> Basic Settings -> Determination of Excise Duty -> Condition-Based Excise Determination -> Assign Tax Code to Company Codes.
    3. The condition type used to maintain the tax code, as seen in FTXP. should have MVST or MWST as the access sequence in OBYZ settings, based on input or output tax respectively.
    Hope this resolves the issue.

  • Field selection PT1L not defined

    Hi,
    We have configured a new document type and field selection for scheduling agreement. When we tried creating an SA, system prompted "Field selection PT1L not defined" error. What does the error mean? How do we go about it?
    Please advise.

    Hi,
    PT1L is something whose use is not at all logical the reasons are and thus not defined in standard SAP
    1> From the term PT1L it represents Limit item (i.e Blanket ) for Scheduling agreement
    2>Now we use SA to work with schedule lines but for Limit items there no GR or any goods receipt so what is the use of SA in     this case better you go with PO.
    3>obviously you can create PT1L by copying any other existing field selections in (but I would suggest not to do this)
    OLME ->Scheduling agreement ->Define Screen Layout at Document Level

  • Parent child hierhecy in customer dimension how can select parent gogrphey when we select parent id in MDX

    i have customer dimension
    CustomerId

    my requiremnt is when i select parent id automatically my parent state select using MDX query.

    Hi Manishcal,
    According to your description, you want to get parent state based on the parent id, right?
    We can use the parent function and member properties function to retrival the dimension attribute. I have tested it on my local environment, the sample query below is for you reference.
    with member [measures].[Parent]
    as
    [Employee].[Employees].currentmember.parent.name
    member [measures].[ParentHireDate]
    as
    [Employee].[Employees].currentmember.parent.properties("Hire Date")

  • JDev 10.1.3 / Ant / element classes not defined in parent war

    I tried to build a WAR file with Ant in JDeveloper 10.1.3 (Preview). The source of the build.xml:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="windows-1252" ?>
    <project name="MyApp" default="war" basedir=".">

    <tstamp/>
    </target>
    <!-- ... -->
    <target name="war" depends="init">

    <lib dir="../public_html/WEB-INF/lib"/>
    <webinf dir="../public_html/WEB-INF"/>
    <metainf dir="public_html/META-INF"/>
    </war>
    </target>
    </project>
    I got 3 error messages, which do not correspond to the Ant documentation:
    - element classes not defined in parent war
    - element lib not defined in parent war
    - element webinf not defined in parent war
    That's why I'm not able to build a war file for deployment.
    Is there any chance to bypass/correct the errors?

    This bug has been fixed for the Production Release. There is no workaround in the Preview Release. However, these errors should only appear while editing the Ant buildfile. They should not prevent you from running the buildfile.

  • Element 6 was not defined correctly

    Hi gurus,
    when i check my query, i was showing a System error called 'Element 6 was not defined correctly'.
    when i go to details,
    Diagnosis
    Amounts are multiplied by values in structure element &V1& &V2&.
    This does not seem to make sense.
    System response
    Procedure
    Check the definition of the structure element &V1& &V2&.

    Please any one can help me.
    thanks in advance.

    Go to the query designer and open you query. Then, modify the formula definition for “element 6” and use NODIM(). In the formula editor expand “Data Functions” and select “value Without dimension”. For example: If you have the formula “KeyFigure1 + KeyFigure2”, then you should to define “NODIM(KeyFigure1)+ NODIM(KeyFigure2)”

    Chris,
    I'm not a database guy - so in many ways, I'm not really qualified to answer this, but I'll make a suggestion anyway:
    At the very top of your code, put the following:
    Option Strict On
    Option Explicit On
    Option Infer Off
    With strict on and infer off, it will force you declare types - which I see missing in many places in the code.
    It's entirely possible that by you then going through and fixing those issues, you'll have corrected the problem.
    I don't know that, but it's possible -- and it should be done this way anyway, so there's certainly no harm to be done; in fact you'll actually speed up the program to a small degree because objects don't have to be inferred for the type that they actually
    are.
    ***** EDIT *****
    Also this: DON'T declare any of the types simply as "Object"; that's just trading off late binding for boxing, so you haven't really done much good. Declare them each as their correct actual type.
    Still lost in code, just at a little higher level.

    Hi,
    When i am replicating a material group to SRM system, in SMQ2, the error message appears as 'Logical System is not defined in table SMOF_ERPSH!'.
    can any one please let me know why this comes up, i have checked the SMOEAC settings, its fine and the logical system entries are already present in the tabe

    Hi,
    Can you verify all your settings as per note 720819?
    Also under SMOEAC transaction, site attributes for your site type 'CRM' may not have any value. Please define attributes for your SRM RFC destination. Select the correct RFC destination, then click on button 'Get Values'.After doing this, table SMOF_ERPSH should be populated correctly.
