Selected period data extraction at infopackage level

Hi All,
I am trying to Extract data from APO Demand Planning Cube to BW.
In BW how to extract data for Specified Date.
To extract specified current month plus -4 months and +4 months of data per extraction.
Do I have to write routine at infopackage level for calculating specified period.
Please help to solve this.

Hi expert,
Exp:the datasource 0FI_GL_4 is Data Extraction (Line Item Level) FI/CO.
From sap help doc i kown that delta records are directly transferred to BW. No record is written to the BW delta queue.
But i run rsa7 in ecc, the delta queue list had the 0FI_GL_4,moreover,it had many records in it,then i run delta in bw side the
record is cleared
I was confused about it,why the delta queue had many records in it?

Periodic Data Extract from HFM

Does anyone have any tips/suggestions for extracting periodic data out of HFM? Currently in our application we are loading year to date data from Oracle into HFM using FDM. When we go to extract periodic data in the application it skips over the ghost numbers that are generated in HFM. In order for the data to be complete though we need those ghost numbers to come out in the extract file. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

The ghost numbers I am referring to are ones generated in HFM. For example on an income statement if you load $1,000 as the January YTD Balance and load $0 as the February YTD Balance, HFM will create a ghost (gray) $-1000 to make the February YTD Balance truly Zero. I need to somehow extract that -1000 amount to make a true periodic data file that will be loaded into Hyperion Planning. Thanks!

Selection field not coming at Infopackage level

Hi All,
I am facing a strange problem.There is one field which is marked for selection at the datasource level.In the R/3 side we are getting that field as selection if we go for t-code RSA3.
But in the BW system when we create an Info-package we do not get the same field under Data selection tab.We have tried to change the data type of that field and replicated the datasource but still it didnt worked.
Please suggest on this issue as it a very high priority issue for us.

Hi Naveen,
1) This is not a standard datasource.
2) In RSA2 that field is marked for selection and it is showing for selection if we go for RSA3.
3) Could you please elobrate more on what do you mean by 'attribute column'.???
In R/3 system we have the same field for selection ( this field is related to 'no of days'=zdays[info object name]) but at Info package level in BW system it does not appear for selection.

HR Form do not select any data from specific Period

Hi All
I am facing issues on the HR FORMS for Brazil related to the Remunaration Statement
When I try to select any employee from a specific period (before April 2012), the system does not select any data.
From April 2012 until the current period and I could select the data and print the Form
I do not believe that is related to the Master data from the Employee, since it is always related to the same period, I guess it is on the HR Form configuration, retricting the period anywhere, but I could not find it
do you know any idea on how to fix it ?

In SQL Server Analysis Services, we can hide or disable hierarchy level by using
AttributeHierarchyEnabled property, however, when this property is set to false, this level will not appear no matter if contain data or not. In your scenario, you want to hide the hierarchy level dynamically, right? As Aleksandr

Data selection period seems no use in logical DB PCH??

Hi experts,I have a problem when using LDB PCH.
There are object selection period fields PCHOBEG and PCHOEND.
there are also data selection period fields PCHBEGDA and PCHENDDA .
I set the data selection fields PCHBEGDA & PCHENDDA values at Start-of-selection event.
But this seems to have no effect on the data selection.
on GET OBJEC event,all of the infotype data will be got,but not corrosponding to the data selection period.
Is this normal?or something wrong?Thanks.

In PCH you have two periods. One for selecting objects and one for selecting data (infotypes).

Difference:--
Data Selection Period
The data selection period enables you to specify the period in which employee data records are read. Only records which overlap with the specified period by at least one day are selected. To define an interval, enter the start date in the left column and the end date in the right column
Person Selection Period
When you enter a person selection period, the system selects only those employees who are members of the enterprise on at least one day in the specified period. These are persons with a valid Organizational Assignment (0001) record. Entries in the standard selection options fields limit the personnel numbers that are selected. You can specify an interval by entering the start and end dates in the left and right columns respectively.
Selection criteria in PNP are just used to determine the pernrs which meet them. For these pernrs then all wanted data is selected. This data then is not checked against this criterias.
An Example:
Pernr 4711 has benn assigned to costcenter 10 from 01.01.2004 until 31.12.2004. On 01.01.2005 costcenter changes to 20.
If you now select all employees with costcenter 10 and list their costcenters, you will get both costcenters 10 and 20.
Most reports which use PNP have to sets of date-ranges:
- Person selection period that controls selection of pernr.
- Other period that controls selection of data.
If you set person selection period in above example to 01.01.2004 and other period to 01.01.2005 and select costcenter 10 you will in fact get employee 4711 with costcenter 20 shown.
Same effect with org-unit or any other selection criteria.

End Date of the Selection Period defaults as tax year end date in P45

Hi,
We have recently implemented both HRSP'S and CLC'S. In addition to this, we have also applied the following SAP Notes:
1. 1305238
2. 1309852
3. 1310431
4. 1316197
Despite this, we are still having the below problem with the P45 Program.
The End Date of the Person Selection Period automatically defaults to the end of the tax year, we are now unable to overide the date suggested by the system.
Can anyone suggest the cause of this issue.

Hi,
With the Inyear movement legal changes ,HMRC have now introduced a check where in P45 cannot be produced for leavers who have a future leaving date 30 days from the current date.
In line with the above changes,the chance of issuing P45 for future leavers is now checked by the P45 program even though the person selection end date is the tax year end date . So that's why the date is getting defaulted from the tax year.
Hope this could solve your issue.

at infopackage level you can have three options for selection criteria.
type-5--- free temporal selection (for as many fields as you like)
type-6 ---ABAP routine
type-7---OLAP Variables.

Full load will give you complete set of data from R/3 to BW, Delta extraction fetches only the new or changed records and so as to enable the delta mechanism you will have to do delta initialization first. --> That is clear
How are the data in that case laod into the DSO (Acquisition Layer)?
Once the data is loaded to PSA through Infopackage then subsequently it can be loaded from PSA to DSO and Infocube using transformation and DTP.
1) For Full Load, should the data have to be load till the cubes?
2) After the full Load we have to initialize. Could you please give the steps? Or it is just to run the infopackage for initilization?
Should the init have to be load till the cubes?
3) That is what i would like to know.
Creating the PC is not a problem. I would only like to know if in the PC we only take the delta Infopackage.
Is there a document which explain all those steps?

Data selection period & Person selection period

What's the difference between them?I'm really puzzled.

In Data selection Period: record for the Period will only be selected.
In Person selection period : Record for the those person who are in that period will be selected.
If Data selection Period is avilable & Person selection period is NIL:
Now if you Do not give any period in Person selection period but there is dates in Data selection Period, then Person is considered as * i.e. all the Perosn will considered. In that case in your system if there is data inconsistency is there their record will also be considered. Hence it is likely that the report will be giving some error. It will be difficult to idenify.
There is suggested that both Data selection Period and Person selection period should be same to avoid any error in the report.

Data selection period means
For example if u given any period,
here we are checking whether data is valid in this period.
Personal selection period means
we are checking whether person is valid in a given period.
Example is:
For example if the employee resigned in a company on 15th of month.
He can get the salary only at the end of month it means his data is avilable upto end of month.
But when you consider his status from 16th to end of month
the person is not available.
So when u given date(16th to end of month) in data selection period is showing that person data is avilable.
But when mention that date in person selection period it is showing no person is avilable.
