Selecting a country code

I am brand new to Skype. Frankly, I only see it being helpful for my International calls. I call France and Italy often. So here is my very basic question: Should I set up my number with either Italy or France as my main number (i.e., area code)?  My USA based friends will call me using my USA based number. But, if I have an Italian Skype number for example, my Italian friends/family will get a better rate when they call my cell right?
Or, should I go with a USA number?

Hello,
You should set up a Skype Number in the country in which your contacts are located. You can have up to 10 Skype Numbers.  These are not available in either France or in Italy.
TIME ZONE - US EASTERN. LOCATION - PHILADELPHIA, PA, USA.
I recommend that you always run the latest Skype version: Windows & Mac

hello friend my requirement is at the time creation of bp in crm with instead of manually selection in country code system want pick automatically and display as a display field (not editable to change)
HOW IT IS POSSIBLE and what are things need to do this.
if any one knows please reply
    bindhu

    Hi Bindhu,
    1. You are able to see country field populated by default since for your user the parameter LND has been set to a default value.
To check the same go to transaction SU01, put your username and enter. Select tab Parameters, in column Parameter Id there must be an entry for LND and default value must be assigned to it.
You can also see the same in System-> User Profile --> Own data.
    2. The field is in display mode because of field groupings.
    In transaction SPRO
SAP Implementation Guide -> Cross-Application Components -> SAP Business Partner -> Business Partner -> Basic Settings -> Field Groupings
For one of the option here Address: Country must be set to display. e.g Configure Field Attributes per Activity
Here choose Create, for dataset Addresses, field group Address: Country must be set to display. If not check in others.
If the above 2 are not found, even Badis can be responsible for the same.
    Wish this helps.

  • Computer Name prompt with Country Code

    Using SCCM 2012 R2..
Currently we have 21 global sites indicated by a two digit country code, for example United States US, United Kingdom, GB, Spain ES  etc.....
We are a Dell shop so we want the serial number as well.
Our end result should look like this. United States Computer
    <CountryCode>-<Serialnumber>
    US-23GHT54 for example.
What is the best way to have a drop down or prompt for country code in computer name field when a tech starts the OSD process??

    Hi
You can have a look at two of my blog post. The first one will show you how to enable Powershell support in your boot images:
    http://www.mimercon.dk/da/easyblog/entry/adding-powershell-support-in-configuration-manager-2012-r2-boot-images
And the second one will guide you through all the step required to implement a Powershell GUI prompting for a Computer Name if the machine is unknown:
    http://www.mimercon.dk/da/easyblog/entry/prompt-for-computer-name-during-configmgr-2012-r2-os-deployment-1
I know that this is not exactly what you want but you would "only" need to create your own Powershell GUI where you can select the country code and append the serial number to get your computer name generated. And then you could just follow the
step in the second post and substitue my Prompt-Computer-Name GUI with your own.
If you know a bit about about Windows Forms and Powershell it is fairly easy to create even though it might be easy for me to say that :)
If you want I could create a basic GUI for you but you would have to be specific in how you would like it to look and I would need all the country codes you need in the drop-down box. You can find my e-mail at my web site.

  • WLC 2125 - Country code selection

    WLC Mode: AIR-WLC2125-K9
    Version: 7.0.116.0
Here is the scenario, we have two WLC, one is located at SG and the other is located at MY (In test stage).
Both WLC has configured with three Country Codes CN,MY and SG , as well as the Regulatory Domain 802.11a -CS and 802.11bg -ACE).
Yesterday we did perform WLC failover test and it was successful but we noticed some of the APs country code are incorrect set as before, we are tried into the AP config, and pull up the Advanced Tab and select the Country where the AP is physically located but the weird issue happened whereby there are only one country code available and the other two country code are missing.
Here is the AP model we used.
    AIR-LAP1142N-N-K9 (CN)
    AIR-LAP1242AG-S-K9 (SG and MY)
Could someone help to advise what would be the cause how to resolve this issue.
    Thanks in advanced.

With the -E there are many profiles that can be selected, as most tend to be very close to the same restrictions.
However I would contact your local regulatory domain group and ask them which country is the same as Mongolia. Explain what you are doing and have them tell you, and get it in writing. that way you are covered on your choice.

  • How can I use iCloud-keychain if i can not find my country in the country code list?

How can I use iCloud-keychain if i can not find my country in the country code list?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
If your country code does not appear in the list…
Go to System Preferences > iCloud > Keychain and enter your Apple ID password (Settings > iCloud > Keychain, from a mobile device)
Select the ‘Create Different Code’ option. (Mobile devices only)
Select the advanced option and choose whether to create a random code or no code, selecting the later allows syncing across devices but not with Apple’s servers.

  • How can I make local calls without using a country code when it's in my Contacts?

The phone numbers in my Contacts all contain country codes because I do a lot of travelling.
An example of this might be:
    +1 (229) 123-4567
    +44 (0)12 345 6789
    +31 (0)10 2345 6789
I have an unlocked phone so when I travel, I usually pick up a local SIM and use that to make calls.
The problem I have is that when I am abroad and select a phone number from my contact list it doesn' work. For example, if I select a contact with the number:
    +31 (0)10 2345 6789
A voice-recording comes on saying that the number I had dialed was incorrect.
But when I dial the number manually:
    010 2345 6789
    It works.
In the US I do not have this problem because for some reason, the phone knows whether the +1 is needed or not. I'm sure if it uses it at all when you're in the US. When I dial internationally from within the US, the number dialing works fine.
So this problem only occurs when I'm dialing locally in the country I'm in while travelling outside the US.
Anyone have any idea of why this is happening and more importantly, what I need to do to fix this? I would hate to have go and change all my contact numbers and get rid of the country codes. If I ever have to call those numbers internationally, I'll need to manually add the country code back in.
    Very annoying!
    Advice anyone?

If you include a country number, you have to drop the initial 0 from the area code. eg +31 10 2345 6789 instead of +31 (0)10 2345 6789

  • How to prevent users from entering '+' or '0' in front of country code in the phone number field?

    Requirement:
How can I prevent guest users from entering '+' sign or '0' in front of country-code in the visitor phone number field during self registration?
Few SMS service providers are not looking for '+' sign or '0' or '00' in front of the international phone numbers to trigger the sms. Providing these values in front of country code during self-registration may fail to deliver the sms to recipient.
    Solution:
Using a simple regular expression, you can validate the entered phone number during the guest registration.
The below regular expression will help you to validate the phone number and allows to register only  when the phone number is not staring with '+' or '0'.
    ^[1-9][0-9](\d{7}|\d{8}|\d{9}|\d{10}|\d{11}|\d{12})$
It also performs the below validations.
    only numbers are allowed.
first digit of the entered phone number should be 1 to 9, so '+' or '0' is not allowed.
numbers from 0 to 9 are allowed from the second digit.
also validates phone number length, the length of the phone number should be 9 to 14.
    Configuration:
To add the above regex in the visitor_phone number filed, please navigate to ClearPass Guest >> Configuration >> (Pages)Guest Self-Registration >> select the self-registration page and go to Edit >> Register Page >> Form >>  select the filed visitor_phone and set the Validator to " ISRegexMatch" and enter the above regex in the Validator Argument filed as shown below.
Note:  Edit the Validation Error as per your requirement.
    Verification
Adding the given regex will validate the phone number and prevent the guest user from registering the phone number starts with '+' or '0'.
Please find below the sample outputs for your reference.
Result when phone number starts with '+' or '0'.
    Successful registration.

  • Supplier Conversion - Sites data - Country code

    Hi,
While doing Supplier conversion from release 11.5.10 to R12.1.3, we see the below value in REJECT_LOOKUP_CODE column of the AP.AP_SUPPLIER_INT_REJECTIONS table:
    'AP_NULL_COUNTRY_NAME'
As I understand this looks like the program is looking for a Country code. The country code column is a Nullable column in the AP_SUPPLIER_SITES_INT table, so not sure where validation happening. In 11i data, there are records that do not have the Country code set up and we are tying to bring those in to R12. Any one faced this issue, any ideas / work-around?
Is the program validating the data against any seeded lookups in oracle apps?
    Thanks,
    gg.

    Hi Vidhu,
Every supplier will have a site meant for different purposes ... at the backend they are stored in AP_SUPPLIER_SITES_ALL table ...
If you query this table, you can find the list of supplier sites that are enabled for Purchase Site assignment and Payment Sites assignment ....
    i.e.
    Select VENDOR_ID, VENDOR_SITE_ID, ORG_ID, PURCHASING_SITE_FLAG, PAY_SITE_FLAG from AP_SUPPLIER_SITES_ALL
From Vendor ID you can find the supplier name and number from AP_SUPPLIERS table
From Vendor Site ID you can find the supplier site name from AP_SUPPLIER_SITES_ALL table
From ORG_ID you can find the operating unit name from HR_OPERATING_UNITS
I would recommend enabling the Pay_site_flag for the supplier sites that are enabled for Purchase site flag and assigned to operating unit already .....
Since you cannot create Invoice for a supplier site, if the site is not enabled for Pay_Site_flag, and you cannot create purchase order for a supplier site, if the site is not enabled for Purchasing_site_flag... hence from business perspective they need a site in every operating unit which is enabled for Pay_site_flag and Purchasing_site_flag ...

*No bank can be selected for comp code 8888 payment pethod C cur USD*
I have configured the FBZP section with possible all entries as follows :-
1 ) Payment Method in country - Currencies Allowed is blank - Means all aplicable.
2 ) Payment method company code data :- Forign currencies allowed option is Ticked.
3 ) Bank Determination - Ranking Order - Payment Method , currency USD  , rank order , House Bank.
4 ) Bank Determination - Bank Account -  House Bank , payment Method, currency USD , Account ID, Bank Subaccount.
Which part of configuration is missing ?
P.S. :- My company code currency is INR. Invoice posted in USD and require to pay in USD itself.
    Experts guidance will be appreciable.
    Regards,
    Sharvari Joshi.

    Hi:
Please make sure that you have specified a House Bank in the vendor master record or line item.
Also have a look at what you have configured in  FBZP . SAP reads the  Bank Determination ,Ranking Order to determine whether payment method C can be used. Ranking Order, Bank Acocunts, Available Amounts and Value Date all should must be configured for payment method C. Also make sure the payment method C is assigned to the company code.
Please check these all and revert back.

  • 802.11a network not supported for this Country Code

Hi, I get the following error whne enabling 802.11a network on a AIR-WLC2106-K9. Country is set to ID (Indonesia)
    >config 802.11a enable network
802.11a network not supported for this Country Code
Yet, on a AIR-CT2504-K9, set to same country code there is no problem.
Is this a WLC model or version issue? WLC2106 is on version 6.0.199.4 while the CT2504 is 7.0.220.0
    Andrew

Well is it the only country code selected? Also you might as well upgrade the 2106 to 7.0.x and move off the 6.0.x. Since your 2604 is at that code you might as well upgrade the 2106 and see. I'm guessing that you have the same APs and the APs are for that country.

  • Lightroom 4 GPS/ Country Code questions

    1.  If you import an image with GPS data, Lightroom 4 will add appropriate values for Sublocation, City, State/Province, Country and Country Code.  Is there a way to add this data to existing files while retaining history?
You can write metadata to files ([Ctrl][S]), remove those files from Lightroom and then synch folder to reimport them.  That reimports them with all modifed settings but without their history.  Is there another way that retains the history?
    2.  Is a google map link available for a GPS location of a photograph?
In Lightroom 3, you could click on the GPS location and that took you to a Google map page with a specific web link that you could then publish, eg on a blog.  You can copy and paste the GPS location into a Google map page but that does not give you a web link you can use.
    3. Is there a way of publishing a map?
Is there (or will there be) any way of exporting a map page, say as a jpeg?
Is it OK to take a screen dump of a map page and publish it, eg in a blog?

    Ian Lyons wrote:
    1. There is no way of saving history to the file.
I've worked it out.  There is a way of updating location descriptions for existing images in Lightroom 4 from the GPS setting.
If you select some images with the same GPS location and [Synch Metadata] for GPS, this fills in the location descriptions, even if none of the images have them to start with.
There are then two ways of doing this for a Folder of images:
    (1)  Modifying in Library
Select a bunch of images taken in the same place and therefore with the same GPS setting.  You can check that the GPS settings are the same because under Metadata in the right-hand tab it will show a single GPS location rather than "<mixed>".
    [Synch Metadata] for GPS.
    Repeat for different locations.
If you have a single image in a location, you'd need to create a virtual copy, [Synch Metadata] for GPS, then delete the virtual copy.
    (2)  Modifying through re-import
This method is more complex but may be quicker where there are many GPS locations.
It is probably a good idea to first ensure you have a current backup, or backup to a catalogue, in case anything goes wrong.
Select images with no changes to Develop settings: click the Metadata filter (Library/ Grid mode) and then filter for Develop Preset = "Default Settings".
Write metadata for these images to files
    [Ctrl][S]
(unless you already do this with every image change)
Remove the selected images from the Lightroom catalogue:  click [Delete] and then select [Remove] (do not [Delete from Disk]).
Reimport the images:  right-click the folder for the images and select [Synchronise Folder ...].
All the images with no Development changes will now have location descriptions.
Now you can update the images with Development changes without affecting the History.
Filter for Develop Settings = "Custom",
select an image (or several at the same location),
filter for Develop Settings = "All" and
synch GPS settings from an adjacent image with location descriptions.

  • Country Codes - WLC

    Hello,
When selecting country codes on a WLC - what exactly is this doing in the background? Does it prevent certain APs from being able to connect to the WLC. Are certain standards disabled etc..? I know it's just a tick box, but really want to understand what happens in the background.
    Thanks

    Hi GRANT,
Normally country code  specify a particular country of operation (such as DE for Germany or US for America). Each country code ensures that each radio’s broadcast frequency bands, interfaces, channels, and transmit power levels are compliant with country-specific regulations.

  • WLC country code list

    Guys,
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/wireless/ps5679/ps5861/product_data_sheet0900aecd80537b6a.html#wp9005314
Cisco's Wireless LAN Compliance Status displays my country Mongolia as -E and says its compliant. So I'm assuming we need to purchase LAPs with -E as the regulatory domain, eg: AIR-CAP3502I-E-K9.
But on WLC, I'm not able to choose Mongolia as the country because it is not listed there. Does anyone know the full list of country codes that we can use on WLC? Is that list more than what WLC shows us or just same as the list on WLC?
If I'm not able to choose Mongolia as the country, selecting another country with -E domain will make my LAPs work?
    Any comment is appreciated.
    Thanks,Delgee

With the -E there are many profiles that can be selected, as most tend to be very close to the same restrictions.
However I would contact your local regulatory domain group and ask them which country is the same as Mongolia. Explain what you are doing and have them tell you, and get it in writing. that way you are covered on your choice.
