Selecting a page with a single-click instead of double-click

Is there anyway to make InDesign CS5.5 move my file to the page I have selected in the pages panel without having to double-click the page in the pages panel?
I keep forgetting that the page selected in the panel may or may not be the page I'm currently editing & this is very frustrating.

Page that you're currently on is highlighted in reverse (black background white text)
If you're select a page in the pages panel it highlights blue to indicate it's selected. This allows you to move the page if you need to, or select over dozen other options for that page, numbering, sections, override, move, duplicate, apply master page to, delete, rotate view, colour label, page transiitions, hide master items and spread flattening!
You double click a page to move to that page. If it was only a single click then it would be quite frustrating to be hopping all over the document when all you want to do is renumber/resection/dupe or over a dozen different options mentioned above.
CTRL/CMD J will bring up the Go To Page dialog box.
Navigate with the page numbers as peter suggested.
There's a reason it works like that - because it works best.

  • Closing the browser with a single click from form

    Hi All,
    Will u please help me anyone how to close the browser with a single click pressing exit button or closing the cross buton.
    Arif

    Always start with a search on this forum
    Solution
    Instructions:
    1. Using an html or text editor, create an html file with the following code:
    <html>
    <head>
    <script type="text/javascript">
    // Create a ref to the original method
    var windowClose = window.close;
    // Re-implement window.open
    window.close = function ()
    window.open("","_self");
    windowClose();
    </script>
    </head>
    <body onload="window.close()">
    <!-- The following text added in case users have disabled Java Scripting -->
    <!-- or if browser fails to close for some other reason. -->
    Your browser or system settings have prevented this window from closing.
    In order to ensure the highest level of security,
    please close/exit this browser session immediately.
    </body>
    </html> 2. Save the html file with the following name: close.htm
    3. Store this file on the middle tier, in a directory which has an associated virtual path configured in the HTTP Server. You can use a pre-existing path or create a new one. For example, in version 10.1.2 you could copy the html file to this directory:
    ORACLE_HOME\tools\web\html
    The above virtually maps to the following by default:
    /forms/html/
    For information on creating a virtual path for the HTTP Server, please refer to the HTTP Server Administrator's Guide.
    4. In the Forms application, choose the desired trigger where you would like to execute the closing of the browser. Remember that by executing this code, the application will be ungracefully terminated, therefore it is recommended that the following code only be entered in the Forms POST-FORM trigger.
    web.show_document ('/forms/html/close.htm','_self');
    5. Compile and run the form.
    Upon exiting the form, the web browser will call close.htm resulting in the browser closing.
    This has been successfully tested using IE7 on XP-SP3. Although this code will work with other browsers, for example FireFox 3, a configuration change in FF must be made in order for it to work correctly.
    Manual Steps Required for FireFox:
    1. Open one instance of the FireFox browser.
    2. In the address bar, enter the following and press Enter on the keyboard:
    about:config
    3. In the list presented, locate the following parameter:
    dom.allow_scripts_to_close_windows
    4. Double-click on this parameter to set its value to TRUE
    5. Exit the browser

  • 2 iframe change with 1 single click in flash

    Hi all, I would like to have 2 iframe change with 1 single
    click in flash, I tried to find the right code but didn't get right
    one. Here I attached the code sample which doesn't work at all but
    you will the idea of what I would like to do. I heard there's a
    solution using onClick function, but I just want to attach to
    simple coding, and not sure if I can handle it, thanks very
    much.

    I mean if I just use the below script, it works.
    getURL("javascript:loadintoIframe('myframe',
    'v_vista_b5.html')");
    but if I want to control 2 iframes in one clicking, it
    doesn't work(it basically load only the second statment, and skips
    the first). I'd like to know is it possible to combine below 2
    javascript into one?
    getURL("javascript:loadintoIframe('myframe',
    'v_vista_b5.html')");
    getURL("javascript:loadintoIframe('topframe',
    'top_v_vista_b5.html')");
    thanks again.

    cor-el, thank you so much. That fixed it, but does this mean I can't use AVG Safe Search.Is there a substitute? I do like the security (hopefully real) that it offers. What now? How do I get out of Safe Mode?

  • Opening multiple files with a single click?

    I have searched this topic here and online elsewhere, but haven't gotten an answer.
    I teach English, and I download multiple student documents to grade. I want to just open all of them and go through one at a time quickly... like a stack of papers on my desk.
    I swear to goodness that I used to be able to select a folder full o' files and bam... they would all open in whatever app they were intended to open in. However, now I'm having trouble with this.
    I have a series of items... some are .doc some are .docx and some are .txt
    When I select all of them, only one .docx opens (and it opens in Pages because I have trained it to do this.)
    If I select all the .txts they all open in textedit like they should. But I can't get the stupid MS Word docs to do the same. I am not sure whether to blame Apple yet.
    I have tried Open With... Word, Pages, etc. but only one document opens at a time. What am I missing? I just did a perm repair and software update... nothing new under the sun.
    Any ides? Please? Thanks!

    There are a few ways you can open them:
    1) Select all of the files and under the File menu select "Open"
    2) Select all of the files and use the shortcut for open, which is command-O
    3) Select all of the files and drag them to the dock icon of the app you want to open them with
    You need to do these actions with the files selected and not the folder that they are in. To quickly select all items in a folder, click one of them and hit command-A (shortcut for "select all")

  • Is there any way to DISABLE/RE-ENABLE a SINGLE cookie with a SINGLE click?

    I'm unable to figure out a SINGLE-CLICK method for blocking/unblocking just ONE cookie.... for example, the data-sucking obscenely intrusive google.com cookie. (something I could put on the desktop and just click once when needed) I do flush History at the end of every session and I have the Toggle Favorites buttons for disabling Java&Flash but that's not practical when I've a dozen or more windows/tabs open.
    The frustrating click-heavy method Cor-el would likely suggest of drilling down thru FF's Tools> Options> Exceptions> path and then scrolling down to unblock and then re-block google.com quickly becomes tiresome during long surfing/researching sessions, and it wouldn't address google's First Party HTTPS cookie. I'm not even sure where google's First Party cookie is stored.
    FWIW, I rely on useful add-ons/extensions/plug-ins and FREE software - CCLeaner, SpywareBlaster, NoScript, Ghostery, AdBlock Edge and BetterPrivacy to tailor my "personal browsing experience" on various web sites that abuse eyeballs. I typically leave all 3rd-Party cookies blocked but that google.com and their HTTPS version are inherently the most persistent/egregious, especially as the HTTPS version exploits the First Party cookie rule. Maybe I'm overlooking an obvious settings workaround but I suspect what's really needed is a dedicated PurgeBlockKillGoogle utility or a command file that modifies a Registry entry or a FF session setting with one click.
    If anyone can point me to a plug-in, add-on or browser independent DOS command or utility that accomplishes this, I'll personally petition Santa to bring you 2 new front teeth for Xmas! Even a one click method of opening FF's EXCEPTIONS would eliminate about 50 clicks a day. Seriously, help would be greatly appreciated.

    Been years since I've seen mention of Cookie Monster. For some reason I thought it was paid software, didn't know there was a plug in, happy to give it a try and see if it'll do the trick. Thanks!

  • Selecting listbox item with right mouse click

    Hi,
    I have a listbox control with non editable items.  Is there an easy way to select an item with a right mousebutton click (Like the left click)
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Create an Event structure and generate an event on the Mouse Down? event.  Then use the Button terminal to determine if the right button was pressed.  If it was then set the value of that listbox to the row that the mouse is over.  You can do this using the invoke node Point to Row.

  • How do I get it to stop asking "leave page/stay on page" with every mouse click??

    Every time I click a link a pop up choice occurs asking "leave page" or "stay on page". How do I make this stop.
    Windows 7 64 bit system.

    Instead of turning off updates all together, I'd like to encourage you to enable automatic updates instead.  While not completely silent, it does allow your flash installation to stay as secure as possible with minimal amount of noise.  For the quarterly updates that do pop up UI, you can simply ignore them.  After 30 days we'll update silently in the background.  Here's a faq that describes the process.

  • Why the flat firefox image on the start page with WASD when clicked?

    When you select home, the normal firefox icon flashes on and is replaced with a slightly tilted image with another small character to the left of the foxes head and the words Click Me! If clicked, the same image now has the letters WASD and a key appears in the center of the world where the fox is wrapped around. I have not seen this until updating to the latest verson 33.

    When I read on the page info, I found that the logo "redirect" and follows your internet activity. I think that Mozilla ought to be a bit more forthcoming here. I want to disable that 'promo' or spyware, whatever it is.

  • How can I open multiple email messages with a single click?

    On the Mac mini I use at work, I can select several email messages at a time and open them all up by double-clicking the mouse pointer on any of the selected messages. My MacBook Pro at home seems to lack that functionality, even though both are running the same version of Yosemite. In order to open up multiple messages (each, in its own window) on my MacBook Pro, I need to double-click on each individual message, even though I have multiple messages selected on my MacBook Pro, using Yosemite's Mail app. I assume there is an optional setting that can enable multiple messages to be opened by double-clicking on a single selected message, but I have looked through the Mail app's preferences and I come up empty handed. Can someone please clue me in on how to get this functionality on my MacBook Pro?

    Hi,
    There is another similar icon named Bookmarks in the '''Customize''' window which provides the said functionality. You have to add that.

  • Can't open a folder in finder with a single click

    Hi there! So I am a new user of Mac and I tried to change some of its settings on system preferences last night. When I am looking for something on the finder, I noticed that I can't click to open the folder. No matter how many times I clicked on it. So I clicked on the right side of my mouse and found out that the option "Open" is gone only "Open in New Tab" is there. It kind of bothered me because I don't want to keep adding new tabs. Please help!

    If I understand your problem correctly the solution is to select the Finder menu and then Preferences. In the Dialog box a little more than 1/2 down there's a checkmark option Open folders in tabs instead of windows. Make sure that option is NOT check marked.

  • Firefox loads but will not access the Internet, showing only a blank page with a single tab "Untitled," and "Done" in the progress indicator.

    When I load Firefox, I get a blank page. There is a single tab with "Untitled," and an indication "Done" at the bottom. The program does not respond to any of my bookmarks--it works but the end result is the blank page described above.

  • Select any value with CTRL + mouse click

    Hi all,
    since ERP 6.0 and SAP GUI 6.40 I am used to be able to select any value in any input or display field (e.g. the name of a field of a table in transaction SE11) via holding down the CTRL key while clicking onto the desired value/field once. Then the whole value/string is selected.
    Now I am working on a freshly installed system but I can't find this setting anywhere. It does work to select a word within the ABAP source code editor, but not for any other, "normal" input fields.
    Any ideas where I can set this?
    Kind regards, Matthias

    Have a look at the last button on the right of the application toolbar. Button looks like monitor with test screen. Click it and use options.

  • How can I get the scroll bar to go to the top or bottom of the page with a right click command?

    When I right click on the scroll bar nothing happens. I have to spin the mouse wheel repeatedly to get to the top or bottom of the page. I just switched from explorer. I'm used to being able to do this. It's much less time consuming and frustrating. I hope someone can help. Thanks.

    You can hold down the Shift key and left-click the scroll bar to go to that position.
    If you set the Boolean pref <b>middlemouse.scrollbarPosition</b> to "<i>true</i>" (default on Linux) on the <b>about:config</b> page then you can middle-click the scroll bar to go to that position.

  • Firefox used to play audio within player playlist, now it goes to other page with a single control bar?

    this just happened recently with OS 10.8.4, (and I don't remember making any changes) yet it still plays within the playlist in OS 10.6.8

    Hi svalere,
    Now the media opens up in a new tab page? You can check if any application preferences changed in Preferences > Applications.
    Is there a website you can provide an example for? Does it happen on multiple sites? And if you disable Quicktime in about:addons does this do this still?
    This may explain any changes that you are noticing. However the only preferences that can be changed in Firefox is within the video player settings as far as I understand, but happy to find out more when you post back.
